Hello there! El´Roc here with some news ^w^

1° First of all things, my old Tablet is really dead. It was my first Tablet and I´ll miss it :c
Luckily, my little sister has one (that she never uses), she was always reluctant to borrow it though. But now she felt pity for me and decided to borrow it to me (as long as I keep doing some favors for her but that´s not so tough)

So yeah! Back to drawing ^w^

2° About my new Tablet, the Wacom Cintiq Companion, it´s still uncertain when I´ll receive it, my father still has that in mind and it´s almost the end of the month, so I hope I´ll receive it in less than a month °.°

3°PROJECT RPG! Yeah, I know many have asked about this, and I must say it´s not cancelled, it´s just that I´m a bit "blocked" with it. As you must notice, most of the Project it´s based on drawing armors, weapons and characters. The problem is, I´m having a small Art Block that´s making it VERY difficult for me to draw armors right now, specially since the armor goes over most of the body and requires more effort. I swear this is NOT CANCELLED, so I promised that as soon as I get rid of this problem I´ll get back to it. The pending list it´s still the same as last time:

I posted a journal some hours ago, saying that my new Tablet will arrive later than expected, at least a month.

Even after that, I was being positive, because I´ll still get the tablet and I can still draw with the Tablet I already have...

Or at least that´s what I thought...

Since some days my Tablet has been "failing" a bit, sometimes I draw a line on it, but it doesn´t draw it on the screen. I mean, I move the pen on the tablet but it doesn´t draw...

I thought "Meh, I can live with this until next month ^w^"...

But today it´s completely done, I move the pencil and rub it on the Tablet´s surface, light or hard pressure and it still doesn´t draw a single line, the pointer on the screen moves when I keep the pen near or on the tablet, but it doesn´t draw or anything...

No matter what I do, newest driver, change the sensitivity, etc, it still doesn´t draw...

So that... I´m left without drawing until my new tablet arrives I suppose...

Many of you must know that a month ago I started a bet with my dad

Hello there everyone!

It´s been a while since I made a journal so I felt like I needed to tell you about how I´m doing and about my activities

1st.- My bet to win a Wacom Cintiq Companion. I´m glad to say that I still have 3 days left (or 2 it was?) and I just have 1 pound left to lose >w<
Though after losing that pound, it´ll probably be like 2 weeks before the new Tablet arrives, so I´ll just have to be patient :3

2.- I´m accepting suggestions for my commission prices, some people say that some of the prices I mentioned some journals ago were a bit low according to some people, but I still wanna know what the rest of my watchers think. I need a price for Sketches, Lineart, Flat Color and Colored with Shade

3.- About Project RPG, I´ve been on a small hiatus about it, but I´m gonna get back on it very soon. According to my list, the next people to go are:

Well, it´s going to be a week since I started exercising more and doing diet to lose those 26 pounds my father bet against me to lose in 30 days

For the ones that didn´t read my last journal, if I lose 26 pounds in 30 days, I´ll get a Wacom Cintiq Companion which is the Tablet of my dreams~

Well, just saying I´ve already lost 6 pounds and I still have 24 days to lose those last 20 pounds, I suppose it´ll be difficult, I mean, you lose weight more slowly after loosing some already right? °o°

Well, at least I´m following a diet and a nice exercising routine

For breakfast I have some natural yoghurt, no sugar, and a fruit

For lunch I prepare a salad, a glass of water and a soup, I also add a small piece of meat to not lose Protein (Meat without fat of course, I make sure of that)

For dinner I have the another glass of water and what´s left of the vegetable soup

And between the meals I drink lots of water and maybe a fruit like an apple if I get hungry

In the mornings I go out to run alongside the coast, then I return home and exercise a bit more before taking a shower and then having breakfast.

I think I´ll add some exercise in the afternoon too

But that, I think I´m going good ^w^

Well...

How should I start?

Since I started as an artist I always wanted a tablet that I could take to other places to draw. My college, on a trip with my family, or just taking a break somewhere (safe place of course, the street is dangerous >w<)

Since I started I´ve always had the same tablet, a Bamboo Wacom Pen. A simple one, I worked hard for it, saved the money and bought it when I had enough ^w^

Well, I always wanted a Wacom Cintiq Companion. It´s my personal dream >w<

Going to the central point, I´m not veeeeeery much into sports, but yesterday my country won a Soccer Championship nad my entire family was going nuts because of that.

My dad´s an architect and has his own company, wins some decent amounts of money from banks that hire his company here in the country, some time ago he asked me to recommend a tablet for him, I told him about the Cintiq Companion and he bought it, he´s really happy with it.

The thing is, yesterday he was so happy that he told me "If you lose 26 pounds from now, to within 30 days, I´ll buy you the same tablet you recommended to me!"

I was completely shocked! That´s like 1299USD!!!

In the end I accepted (It´s not that I´m faaaat, it´s because I have some extra pounds until my recommended weight, so he wants me to achieve it ._.)

So now I have 30 days to lose 26 pounds so I get the tablet of my dreams!!! *W*

I´m gonna exercise even more from now on! Drink only water and eat more salad! >W<

Well, as many of you now, I´m in the middle of a Project I call Project RPG (IT´S NOT FOR A GAME. MANY PEOPLE THINK IT´S FOR A GAME)

Well, once I finish all the drawings I want to make for this Project, I´ll probably start to be open for commissions

So I wanted to ask which prices should I use

I was thinking in:

10USD for a sketch (+5 for each extra character)

15USD for linework (+5 for each extra character)

20USD for flat color (+10 for each extra character)

25USD color and shaded (+10 for each extra character)

What do you guys think? °o°

Yeah, you read right, I´m taking a small hiatus from drawing

It´s not like I want to, but because I have some tests at college so I´ll focus more on studies and for that I have to not draw (because in some way I´m addicted to draw if I´m honest x3)

So I´ll be taking a hiatus of like 2 weeks, maybe 10 days until all my tests finish and I´ll be back at drawing

Well, trying to resume the story as short as I can...

Since I was little there have been times when I suffer of terrible abdominal pains, always acompannied by other symptoms

I grew a bit used to this pains and their side effects, so I didn´t care much for it. Besides my parents may have money, but they never wanted to take me to a doctor, that was only for my sisters

The pain only came like once after 2 months, but some months ago it started to happen more frequently, like 4 times a month sometimes, and I can´t skip classes because of the pain and it´s side effects that keep me tied to a bathroom and sometimes cause me fever.

The point is, I couldn´t keep this up since I have classes to attend, so I saved enough money and went to the doctor, they didn´t knew what I had so I got through some exams and I got the results on Friday

I have something called Crohn´s Disease

Some of it is caused by genetics so there´s not much that can be done to make it go away from my body

It happens that human´s intestines have some bacteries that reside in them, these are needed to be there. But in my case, my body´s inmune system attack this bacteries that are needed for my body.

This causes the symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea (yeah, I said that u//-//u), weight loss and fever to me u-u

There are no medications or surgical procedures to cure it, only treatments to help with the effects u.u

It´s a bit sad, but at least now I can follow a treatment so the pain it´s not so bad

So, I felt like I needed to say that to feel a bit relieved

Sorry if I bothered someone´s day u_u

Well, it was a bit more than a week but now I´m fully recovered of my fingers since last week´s accident on Rugby practice

So thanks to everyone who worried about my health. I really appreciate it ^w^

On other notices, expect me to create a new profile pic soon, I know many people may like my Lucario trying to get out the screen, but some things have to change from time to time >w<

I suppose it´s an irony of life the tendency artists can have to hurt their dominant hand, right?

Well... today I went to rugby practice (I practice it because in my college I HAVE to belong to a team and had no other choice) and when a dude tackled me, I fell to the ground and another dude passed running and stomped on my fingers T-T

I went to my college´s clinic and got told some tendons got hurt (in 3 of my fingers ._.)

Luckily, they said it wasn´t serious, they said they´ll take some days to recover, maybe a week

They said I shouldn´t use my hand too much. The problem is that the fingers that got hurt, belong to my dominant hand (I´m left handed), so I´ll have some troubles to write and draw

But no problem, I won´t stop drawing this week, I don´t wanna get rusty X3

I just have to do it slowly so my fingers don´t get too stressed :3

So don´t worry if maybe this week´s draw or drawings are a bit of a lesser quality than my average

# Writing this took me so long using only my right hand XD

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to apologize to all my watchers here, it´s been more that 3 months since my last drawing T-T

I had some problems in the last half of December, so I couldn´t work on anything and in January my computer broke

And I mean BROKE, in pieces ._.

So I wasn´t able to draw neither...

Now I FINALLY have a computer to work on, so I´ll get back to drawing and uploading stuff

In order to keep myself calm during my summer time, I made some sketches in paper, so I´ll try to upload them here or I´ll just work on new drawings

As I said before, I´m REALLY sorry for not saying anything and being so much time away

It has been 11 days since the last time I uploaded a drawing :c

I´ve been VERY busy studying for my last tests. It´s the last test of each of my classes, and I want to approve them, so I don´t have to take finals in order to pass the classes :c

I already failed a class last semester and I don´t want that to happen EVER again. Because I felt terrible when it happened ToT

So that´s why I have been studying for the tests and it hasn´t left me any time to draw :c

I ask that you understand me, please. I really really REALLY want to approve. In fact, one of the tests is tomorrow O.O

After I finish my tests (if I don´t have to go to finals :c) I´ll go back to drawing

# I´ll do a Christmas Themed Lucario after I finish with my classes X3

It´s been a while since I started drawing and I must say I´m gaining "some" confidence about myself :3

I still have some troubles with drawing, I make mistakes and my drawings still don´t have the "essence" I´m looking for them to have o.o

But I know that if I keep practicing I´ll become better. Because that´s what´s happened until now :D

When I see my first drawing and then my most recent drawing, I notice that I have improved "something"

Luckily, I have met many kind users that have been so gentle with me X3

Also, I like when they criticize me, because sometimes I make mistakes that I don´t notice, but they do, because they are more experienced than me, and that helps me to become better :3

I hope I repay them somehow and someday, when I become a better artist

I started uploading my works here for some days now. And I have already talked a bit with other users that also love Lucario and they have been SO nice to me! X3

Specially  Akiru01 . He has given me a LOT of tips and has been the nicest. I hope one day I can repay him somehow

I hope I keep getting better at drawing with the time :3

AND meeting more nice friends! Someday I hope I can repay them with lovely images in the future X3

I can´t believe it! Remember how I told you that my sister took my money for Pokemon Art Academy?

Well, during the weekend, by mysteryous circunstances, I found in my bedroom some money and it was enough to buy the game! X3

So now I´m playing it in order to get some tips at drawing

I don´t know how that money appeared below my Lucario plushie, but I´m very grateful for it
