Speaking of art, lately there's been a lot of discussion about the fact that the furry fandom is fairly saturated with mediocre porn. While I agree that this is true, I have a question for those out there ranting about it: Why do you care? If you don't like it, you don't have to look at it. You and you alone are in control of what goes on your computer screen. Let the people drawing and viewing the porn enjoy themselves, and go look at the clean art. There's plenty of high-quality, PG rated art out there. Also, just because someone draws the occasional dirty pic isn't a reason to unwatch or not watch them. The thumbnails are color coded for a reason.

As for those who say all furry artists are pervs who just create shallow "characters" that are idealized anthro versions of what they want to look like and then pimp them out like hos, I direct you to  bloodhound_omega . Her art is amazing, and she's created an entire world with different cultures that evolved in different regions for complex, well-thought-out reasons. They all have different traditions and rich societal structures. If you're not watching her already, go do it now!

I have to pick one? Ummm...I guess Cowboy Bebop. People put it down because it's gotten popular, but it's popular for a reason. It's good! It has character depth and development, a good storyline, fantastic music, and aesthetic style.

Umm...Bleach. It's hard to manage such a huge cast, but Kubo Tite uses all of his characters, even bit characters who only appear in a couple of episodes, in ways that matter and change the storyline so that it would be entirely different if they weren't there. He also knows when to use comic relief and when to stick with a dramatic/serious tone.

3. If you could change your username without losing your stuff would you?
Probably. I'm not the immature fangirl I was when ElsieNeko came about. I'd change it to TheCatWrites.

TRAIN: Getting ready to do a final layout for one of the pieces. I decided to do a character sheet and two big colored pencil pics, and I know what I'm doing for all of them. I'll have stuff up for you in the next day or two.

MICK: Got a couple refs and did some roughs, I've got the idea for the PG pic down but I've yet to come up with something I like for the R one. I'm still working on it though!

So I finished my finals last night and started up Pokemon Diamond, since I'd been delaying it until I was done with all my work.

First impressions:

~Steep learning curve. This is definitely a game for those who've played previously.

~OH MY GOD EVERYTHING'S IN THREE DEEEEEEEEEE O.O

My new favorite song is definitely "Starlight" by Muse. The piano hook makes me "feel strange in funny places" (bonus points for anyone other than the Other Me who can tell me who I got that from). I went to their concert when they came to Louisville, and they had light bars set up behind the stage that coincided with the piano keys, which was AWESOME.

But yes. Get "Starlight." You will enjoy it.

In arting news, I've got 2 requests to do, both of which are in the sketching stages, and I've got a few pieces of my own ready to ink.

My new procrastination technique is drawing pokemorphs of the 3rd generation evolutions of all of the starters from the games. So far I've just done the "Grandfathers," Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise.
