Hey gamers what's poppin
For almost the entirety of January, I got sick, got THE FLU, died, and then came back as a ghost. But I lived, so that's okay
I know it's been rather quiet around here, and in all honesty it's cause I haven't been able to do a whole lot other than sleep and attempt to eat... BUT now that I'm doing better, I have some projects up my sleeve!
First up is something new that I'm trying. I have a 3d printer, and while I was sick, I let it bust some stuff out for me. With that, I've started to (attempt) to make some molds to cast resin in! I'll be sharing more on my patreon later, but for now, here's a little monster hunter potion I was successfully able to cast ; )

Emergency Commissions Open - Paying for Vet Bills
Posted 6 years agoDespite my best efforts, my bird Silly passed away last night and I need help paying for her vet bills. I'm devastated by her loss and the expensive visit to the vet and her cremation is just salt in the wound... so I’m doing three types of badges right now to help cushion the damage a bit. I can start work immediately.

I'm still waiting to print a few more, but it's badge time bay bee!! Just gotta glue fronts to backs, laminate, and ship~ But now that I'm almost completely caught up.. I wanna make more! (look at this big ol current batch!)

I’ve been putting this off for years, but I finally took the dive and made a patreon! I realized that if every single one of my followers on here gave me $1 a month - just one! - I would be able to live freely as a full time artist. I could quit my job at the front desk, right now, and do what I love. So well. it's worth a shot.

Good LORD it's been a hot minute! How are y'all doin!? So while I've been active on Twitter and Tumblr, I've completely neglected my DA and FA accounts!! My computer bit the dust for the chunk of a few months, and by the time I had gotten a new one working I was prepping for Furry Weekend Atlanta.

ONLY A DAY UNTIL AN ACTUAL DAY OFF - my bf and I have had to cover our boss's booty while he goes on leave of absence, so I've only had one actual day off in the past two weeks :"D UNTIL TOMORROW AAA... I’ve kind of just been go go go go since the holidays and I think I’m ready for that mental switch of trying to take er easy, get some stuff done, and become the best me I can be. November was crazy, December was crazy, and January was crazy for a little bit... then just got crazy again. Even on my partial days off I had to go into work to cover lunches.
In all honesty, that means I'm probably going to have to refund my current unfinished commissions. I haven't been in a stable mental state at all in the past few months, and I don't feel comfortable producing work capable enough for people expecting quality content... especially since funds were involved. For the sake of myself and my commissioners, I truly really am sorry, and I thank you for your patience and understanding.
Hell, I might actually shut down my etsy for a few weeks while I try and reclaim my life and my passion for art that has fizzled away thanks for work and coping with illness, both mental and physical. I only sell unoriginal decals on there, and I'd love to actually produce and sell some original content.
I'm looking forward to recharging and getting back to being my usual self. I'm ready to get back into making art and just.. existing outside of work. So forgive me for being kind of absent in terms of art and fandom. I wanna do better and be, overall, better <3
blease read - taking a holiday break

HEY GAAAAAYMERS I'm writing a little journal since I've been so quiet around the internet lately
due to my new job being:
- retail
- in a mall
- 40+ hours a week
and all of this in the middle of the holiday season, I'm going to have to take a bit of a break until work settles down a bit! Unfortunately that means commissions are going to have to be put on pause until the holiday season is over... if this causes any complications, please PLEASE let me know - I never intended work to be taking up so much of my mental and physical energy. It just truly is in my best nature to focus on that right now as well as my health. I've gotten sick twice in the past month and I think its from overworking myself. I work on my feet with people all day, then I come home and continue working on art and store orders... it hasn't been good for me in the slightest...
Commissions WILL resume as soon as I am physically able, and all current etsy orders in my shop are being worked on as we speak.
I hope this is alright with you guys, I know I had a few people on tumblr say they missed seeing my work... honestly I miss seeing me produce work too. I just need to take some time to push through this challenging holiday season and make it out alive. (black friday was... an absolute fucking disaster. That day alone has left me needing recovery)

HEY GAMERS I need to stop saying that ironically
so I've been working pretty much full time at my new job at GameStop and it's going VERY well. Way better than anticipated. I feel like I'm finally recovering from my terrible incident last month and... idk. It feels so good to be pulling myself out of a hole, not digging it deeper. Most days are going better, and the influx of all the good games coming out has kind of kept me going.
Just wanted to share that I've been pretty busy and that I haven't forgotten about commissions, they're just chugging along a little slowly :"D trying not to overwork myself and take it a lil easy (that and I have 10+ etsy orders I'm working on and that's actually a ton of work OOF)
for now, have my super last minute costume that I made with less than $15 to my name!! I had to work on Halloween but because I did that (and the GameStop is in the mall), I got to hand out candy to a bunch of kids! Scared a few of them, aaaaa I didn't mean to

I was already excited, but the my little pony movie was absolutely wonderful. The characters were charming, the songs were delightful, and the animation was STUPENDOUS. I already know I’m gonna see it again just to support 2d animation, let alone just for how fun it was.
I gotta admit. Got a little emotional during the first song. I’ve watched these girls grow for 7 years now - that’s a third of my lifespan so far. They’ve helped me through rough times then.. and they’re helping me through really rough times now. I know a ton of you guys found me through pony stuff, and I know I haven't drawn it for quite a while.. I can promise that is gonna change real soon. I really needed this right now.

I'm so sorry to type something so serious up but.. I'm really struggling guys. I really am. I wanted to talk briefly about something.. scary. Something I almost did yesterday.
I normally hermit up and don't go outside, but the weight of the world yesterday was just.. it was too much. I went on a walk in the brisk cold and just.. just kept walking. I didn't know where I was going. I walked past a Wendy's, so I was gonna spend the last $5 I had on a meal. But naw, of course school just got out and the entire lobby was full of freshman. I waited and waited but this one group kept swearing at the top of their lungs around children. I yelled at them and left. I kept walking.
To be honest, I think I was trying to find a way to kill myself. I was just... walking and sobbing. And I just kept going. I thought about laying in traffic. Jumping off of a building. Getting lost somewhere. I don't know. Something. My legs couldn't carry me anymore so I eventually came home and just.. just lost it. I laid on the bed and just cried. I saw some pumpkin and skeleton decorations that some children made on the way home. They were duct taped to their fence. It sounds dumb as fuck but I think that's what made me not wanna go through with it. It was just so cute and.. they were so excited. I couldn't see shit like that if I was dead. So here I am.
I know that this is going to sound stupid but I remembered a quote yesterday from the Game Grumps of all people; "anything good that has ever happened in your life has happened because you've been alive."
I'm really struggling to go on guys. But I'm gonna try. I can't leave my pets behind. I have so many great friends that care about me. The weight of depression gets.. it just gets so hard sometimes.
I'm getting help and therapy as soon as I can. I just want you guys to just.. understand that I'm trying. I'm trying so hard to make it to the next day.
I promise I haven't forgotten about commissions. I'm doing my best. I swear. Just know that it's.. it's hard. I will go on.

uh just giving an update I suppose
it's been really hard on the home front. Going through some of that good ol mental illness shit, and it's hitting me much harder than it has in recent memory. So forgive me for not posting a whole lot here... and sorry for the slow commissions as well. I promise they aren't forgotten, I just have to take care of myself first and foremost.
The cutter I use to make my decals for my etsy has also entirely broken as well, so I have a bunch of open orders. I've communicated with everyone, but it's stressing me the hell out. I've been talking with Silhouette support since the 8th of this month, and we still haven't come to a solution. I have <$10 to my name so I can't even remotely consider getting a new one. Kind of just.. adding to the pile of stress and depression.
I got a flat tire and haven't been able to use my car for about two weeks now, so I might try to design and sell some adopts to get that covered - it's kind of hard relying on transportation. So forgive me if commissions have to take a little pause so I can generate a little more funds for food and transportation.
Thank you for your patience, everyone. It's been... ooof. It's been really hard.

Hey so uh. I’m not making enough money to live off of. I'm going to have to start looking for a """real""" job again. I'm giving full time art a shot and it just.. it isn’t working. Bozeman's a fucking expensive place to live but this is the only place I've ever lived. I'm feeling really defeated right now. I can't go back to retail, I can't do it again. I didn't realize how awful it was for me until I was gone and just... I'm not going back. So I need to start looking for alternatives.
