In response to the recent attack on the school in Connecticut, I am not shocked or surprised that it happened. I am saddened by it, but I am no longer surprised. Similar events have happened 7 times this year alone. There's only so many times you can shock me before I start to go "Oh. Another mass murder." as horrible as I feel thinking that way.

Now many people are rightfully angry at those (like me, unfortunately) who wish to use this to start a conversation about gun control. Honestly, you guys are 100% right. Families should have time to mourn and we should be grieving as a nation right now. However, this conversation needs to happen eventually. Clearly whatever we are doing right now has led to an unprecedented level of gun-related violence in the US. If we don't take the time to act, there's an extremely high chance something will happen again. I don't want that.

Rent varies between 545 to 565 a month, and there is also internet, power, and gas bills to be considered as well. So I just went to pick up my copy of Dishonored at Gamestop with my mother. She saw an advertisement for the Wii U. She said "Are they making a PSP for the Wii or something?" I told her "No, mom. It's a tablet controller for the new Wii console."

She asked then "So it's like an iPad for the Wii?" I laughed, then explained, "Kinda, but they don't want you to think of it that way. It's a touch pad for the Wii U."

She chuckled, then asked "What's a Wii U? That's sounds stupid." I said "It's the new console by Nintendo, and yes, we all think it sounds stupid."

She said "Oh, I thought it was a new controller for the Wii"

My mom has little experience with games, so she perfectly illustrates the ineffectiveness of Nintendo marketing.

To be perfectly honest, I hate politics. I hate how much of a blood sport people make it out to be. I hate how it makes friends actively despise each other every 2 years like clockwork.

If I didn't think they were important, I'd wash my hands of the whole affair. However, since it directly impacts the lives of many, I've no choice. I have to involve myself. My real passion is gaming and tech. That's what I like talking about.

So how about that Dishonored? Looks to be an amazing game, doesn't it.

G4, at one point I liked your channel. But your increasing irrelevance and the increased spread of quality content and information online proved to be your downfall. Plus, TV is growing out of fashion. It's only a matter of time, really.

This hasn't hit the presses yet, but Obsidian had just started a Kickstarter project. It's for a new isometric fantasy RPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate, but with a brand new IP. It's goal is $1.1 million and it already had $250,000.

Yep. Our first amendment rights apparently mean jack shit to Congress. This should be causing outrage, but the media has left this largely untouched.

The game has been pretty fun so far. For those unaware, the game has superficial similarities to Smash Bros, but it's fundamentally different. Instead of knocking players off the stage, you have to build up a Special meter and use Special Moves to kill the other players. Your final score is determined using both your kills and deaths.

While they only allow 6 character (Kratos, Fat Princess, Parappa, the Killzone guy, Sweet Tooth, and Sly Cooper) and 2 stages (Sandover Village and Hades), the games I've played were very fluid and played well, even if Kratos and Sly show up far more than any other characters.

I'm still not completely sold on it, though. A game like this is entirely dependent on the characters they pick and so far their roster has been pretty lackluster.

Holy shit, I'm excited for this game. It's being made by former Deus Ex developers, emphasizes choice and consequence in gameplay, and just looks so colorful and refreshing.
