4th of July
General | Posted 15 years agoSo come this early evening, I will be packing up and heading towards Sacramento to visit my older brother and celebrate not only my mom's birthday but 4th of July as well.
Also will be taking an opportunity to look into this culinary institution they have up there, given college is going at a snail's pace and I want to know what I will be getting myself into. So I will be away with little chance of perhaps checking mail and that will be it.
I wish everyone a safe 4th of July (no blowing off hands and or legs, cause being nicknamed 'stumpy' just isn't as cool as it was back then.)
Maybe I'll see "The Last Airbender" while up there, who knows. Seen the series and wonder who this will turn out given its by M. shamalymi. . .whatsthename.
And if for some reason the movie fails, you can blame his offspring for given him the idea. . .that is all.

General | Posted 15 years agoYou all know what I'm talking about. If you've braved entering Burger King to grab your Whooper be it double or triple, maybe perhaps the XL burgers, you've seen it.
It's around the corner, and soon hormonal imbalanced young girls will squeel and trample many a poor soul (and boyfriend) afoot as they race to the theaters.
The third movie of ghey sparkily vampires fighting with the silly wolves and many a soap opera, with some love interest squished in between this jumbled mess, will be unleashed.
And the end of the world shall be fall us as goths do battle against these wanna-be sissy vampires.
Thank you author behind Twilight. Thank you for royally fucking up the vampire order with your ghastly tales of vampires that douse themselves in glitter >.<

General | Posted 15 years agoI know caffeine and I do not get along anymore.
I am fully aware of that +10 battle axe with 75% headache affliction it ever has in its arsenal, awaiting my unsuspecting keister to waltz by before bringing it down.
I loathe and find the withdraw headache downright annoying.
So why is it I consistantly drink diet related drinks and Dr Pepper both reg and diet, knowing full well they are loaded with caffiene? O.=.o

Sparadic
General | Posted 15 years agoWas rather stunned when former work place called me in to watch the shop on the weekend. I took it, given I am in dire need of money for the time being until EDD.
I later made a call and asked if the job was coming back or if everything would be up in the air. They said it was still iffy and sparadic? at best. Which means if they call me, they call me and if they don't, they don't.
A friend told me to take a job where ever you can, but with this much uncertainly, I can't be fully sure, but have little choice in the matter. I'm hoping maybe something comes along.
Being poor and broke much of the time is not grand :/

Happy Mother's Day
General | Posted 15 years agoA special Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there who gave birth and raised us with dad in tow. Were it not for their wisdom, guidelines and comforting presence, we would not fare very well in the world.
So for those who seek mom's advice. . .too bad! Its her day off! Go ask dad >:D

No matter how you say it, it sucks. Now I get to deal with EDD, the people who put you on unemployment. . so long as you meet THEIR standards.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days
General | Posted 15 years agoAccomplished finishing the game late last night.
Adds a good fill in for the gap on Roxas's involvement with Organization XIII at the time. It also explains Xion's origin and where she came from also. The story is good and also sad as the days progress. It kinda has a tragic feel when you learn more about Roxas, Xion and Axel and how it all came crumbling down in the end.
I won't spoil anything other then you really should go and pick up this game and play it if your a KH fan. I wonder about Birth by Sleep and how it will tie in to the saga. Guess I'll just have to get a PSP soon and find out myself.

Offically 29
General | Posted 15 years agoI am 29 years old as of today. Now I cringe and await the teasing jokes of the big old "30" ficaso to ensue. Frankly I say wait until October at least. That's a good six months right? >.>
I celebrated my birthday with my sister on Tuesday, given there is a good chance I will be working tonight. No I can't have someone go in for me as he is in Hawaii with my sister at this moment.
If for some reason I don't have to go to work tonight, I am not really sure how to spend it. All those many, many ideas we had as kids when our birthdays came around, disappear or slip away. We're left with well. . some small handful of what to do. .
Guess its one of those signs of "Your oooooooold." o.o;
In which I reply," SILENCE!. . . . I keel u."

General | Posted 15 years agoYesterday I helped a friend unclutter his garage, seeing as his Chirstmas decorations were still up. He didn't want to leave anything un attended since he had some things stolen from his lawn awhile back.
So after dragging out all decoration, uncluttering, then semi putting everything away, we headed out to dinner and returned home later.
Now I really don't care for the Twilight saga. At all. It was then I was informed that riffs? of movies were created. Created by the same people behind Mystery Theater 3000 and found online. So imagine watching Twilight or any bad/lame movie with their "commentary." X3
I do say I never laughed so hard last night. Still. . .the one scene of Edward in the sun? GOOD GAWD.

General | Posted 15 years agoGawd, the PS3 taunts me so with God of War III.
Unfortunately, there just is not enough games out there to pique my interest on getting the next gen system. Still too few out there. Aside from the Ratchet & Clank, God of War and maybe a few others, that is about it. And considering how much it runs for.
An interesting note I read while watching G4 though. The original PS3 (before all the bug fixes and new models) was considered the heaviest game system in history, standing in at 11 lbs.
I smell workout with these :P

Misinterpetation?
General | Posted 16 years agoOk as many know, I recently was able to get a job by means of my sis's BF who works as a mechanic that deals with forklifts. For Unemployment, one of the questions state about earning money regardless of work or not. I've jotted down the hours and the pay per week. The benefits have been reduced due to the fact that I am somewhat earning a little from this "odd" job: Watching the shop at night and just starting to pressure wash the forklifts.
Now the problem rises as that this is indeed an "odd" job. Where the hours do not match the wages so to speak. I put in roughly 84 to 96 hours per week give or take on whose there. The majority of these hours comes from the weekend on which I am locked inside from 5 pm Friday night to about 7 am Monday morning. I bring food among other things so as not to starve or thirst.
In a nut shell, I did not receive the reduced benefits on the statement of "working full time." Is there something amiss that they did not catch? Such as the weekly earnings of $160.00 for the 96 hours? Whoever checks these statements we put out, needs to really look at the hours once more. Now if I was making 400+ per week, ok that justifies withholding the usual check and shows that indeed backs up the "full time". But for 160 a week?
Just an opinion, they need to double check these.

What a Kiss Means
General | Posted 16 years agoWhat a kiss means . . .
+Kiss on the stomach = "I'm ready"
+Kiss on the Forehead = "I hope we're together forever"
+Kiss on the Ear = "You're my everything"
+Kiss on the Cheek = "We're friends"
+Kiss on the Hand = "I adore you"
+Kiss on the Neck = "We belong together"
+Kiss on the Shoulder = "I want you"
+Kiss on the Lips = "I love you"
What a gesture means . . .
+Holding Hands = "We definitely love each other"
+Slap on the Butt = "That's mine"
+Holding on tight = "I don't want to let go"
+Looking into each other's Eyes = "I just plain love you"
+Playing with Hair = "Tell me you love me"
+Arms around the Waist = "I love you too much to let go"
+Laughing while Kissing = "I am completely comfortable with you"
+picking someone up off their feet = "that you love them fully and would do anything for them"
--Advice--
+Don't ask for a kiss, take one
+If you were thinking about someone while reading this, you're definitely in Love.

Or you will have a bad year of Relationships.
If you LIKE, LOVE, OR MISS someone right now and can't get them out of your head
then Re-post this within one minute and whoever you are missing will surprise you.
Repost this as "What a kiss means."
Worked on the V-day. It's no surprise, It was best I did, rather then slither on here and once more, post something rather. . .what's the word. . acidic about Valentine's Day. Yeah the holiday and I get along as well as two north magnets. Last year's V-day posting is proof of that as is. .quiet and somber this time.

Car Crash Syndrome
General | Posted 16 years agoNuff said.
Seems my family is afflicted with this.
Few years back my sisters were coming down the I-5 after visiting my brother, who lives just outside Sacramento. Long story short, one lost control of the wheel due to nasty wind gusts and they ended up rolling over a few times before landing in a ditch. Thankful to say Honda means well on their safety features as both left with only minor injuries.
About a few months ago, my mother was leaving her work and was waiting at an intersection. Needless to say, some buttmunch was not paying attention as they banged into the vehicle in front and caused a chain reaction fender bender. Police happened to be in a parking lot nearby as was an ambulance. . wee >.>
This past Friday, my brother and his friends were on their way to a line dancing party (one of his friends had recently finished boot camp and this was a celebration.) All were in their father's truck when the rear tire gave out (and by giving out I heard the whole thing just came off. Tire rim, the whole shibang, leaving the axel itself.) He ended up in the hospital with bruising to his head, left arm and hand and right side. Also stitches as well, beating out me and my sister combined. He came home Saturday and has been resting since.
I am just very thankful that no one in all of these accidents were hurt seriously, but now I am starting to worry if I'm next in line ;.;
Thank gawd I'm insured but I don't want my car to be wrecked.

Catchy song to bump heads to.
ZOMG It art teh Friday the 13th! Run ye who fear the number! Run for the closets and under the bed and wait till it's Caturday!!!
*waits*
K for all you others who laugh at the paranoid ducking and covering. . .
I dun went and saw "2012"
All in all. . .
Not a bad movie. Nice to see John Cusack after a period of like not being around. Yes, I've a weakness for natural disaster movies (alien provoked or not) and I do say this was pretty good. Nice cast as well like Woody Harrelson (did I get that right?) and Danny Glover. . .yay!
No R.E.M. was not played during the whole course of the movie. Would have laughed if they did, buuut can get cliche' when it comes to stuff like that. Effects and everything was cool about it, if you don't mind watching for 158 mins. (2 hrs and 38 mins for those who dunno how long eet is.)
Rwar with calenders and predictions about the end of the world and such :D Whole Mayan calender in all.
Course frankly we all thought the world would end during the Y2K thingie :P We're fine. . .
So go and see it, if you like seeing the world get screwed over. . .naturally of course XD

Quiet Halloween
General | Posted 16 years agoYeah that sums up tonight.
A Happy Halloween to everyone and to my side of living. . a really quiet one. Last year was more alive and rambouncious with kids out and about.
This year it was. . .odd. . .perhaps of all of a dozen showed up and that was that. . . yeah. Even though it was a Saturday too.
So. . .big bowl of candy left over. . something that should have been half emptied.
Ideas?

New life
General | Posted 16 years agoIts hard to think at times when one remembers of another who passed on, that they forget about time.
I made mentioned awhile ago and thus you all deserve an update. . even if its like a couple of weeks late.
My niece Layla was born at 3:34 am on 9/9/09 in the morning. Labor was induced cause she sure heck didn't seem to be in any rush. What makes this funny is that an aunt of mine wanted my sis to hold off until said date just for the heck of it. My sis Rebecca the mom-to-be just laughed and said yeah right.
Who knew? >.=.>;
Layla is a couple weeks old and so tiny. . forgot how small newborns were. That and she seems to have her mom's pout and temper..
Oh lordie wait til this kid is 2 O.=.o;

Farewell to a friend. . . . and someone who was more. . .
General | Posted 16 years agoAs I write this. . . the ache and hurt still throbs.
A dear friend and someone more to me was taken tragically on Tuesday.
Heading home that night around 11 pm, she was struck in the driver side by a drunk who ran a red light. She was pulled from the wreakage and taken to a hospital.
They couldn't save her. . . .suffered from eternal bleeding. . .all they could do was make it as painless as possible for her. The drunk driver had also perished as well.
Kit. . . was the kindest, sweetest person, kitsune anyone could have as a friend. It. . hurts to think that I will no longer see that smiling face or hear that dear voice.
Rest in Peace Kit.
You shall be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
