I'm alive
Posted 7 months agoSo I beat depression, I still stand by what I said before as if I had the support I needed it would have been a lot easier. I just don't want to read that on my profile as the first thing you see lmao
Venting
Posted 5 years agoPeople with depression don't isolate themselves by choice. Its gradual, insidious and driven by the complete absence of any sort of self worth. We already feel worthless, and theres nothing worse than your supposed friends telling you they're there for you when really they're not, never were and never will be. We have very little energy as it is and we're not going to spend it chasing people and annoying others who clearly, in our eyes, don't want anything to do with us. If you do actually care;
Don't tell them you should hang out sometime only to never talk to them for months.
Don't tell them not to be a stranger when you never accept their invitations to catch up.
Don't tell them to not be a hermit when you never invite them to do anything at all.
Don't get their hopes up only to dash them a day later.
Don't say you're there for someone when you never were at all.No I'm not ok and you're not helping, so fuck off.
