Can't sleep so I might as well post. Since my last journal (which was forever ago) I got a new boyfriend and started college again so I've been EXTREMELY busy lately. I have, however, been working on a little secret project fursuit. I'll be sure to post pictures when it's finished

I was so close to going last year (had tickets, a hotel room at the Westin and everything) but severe relationship issues forced me to stay home. Oh well. Life goes on, I suppose. Just wanted to vent a tiny bit.

Due to a family emergency I had to cancel. My grandpa is in pretty rough shape.

Uhhh well, I'm still kind of new to the furry fandom though I've been to anime conventions before. I'm very open to ideas and friendly, so hopefully I'll fit right in. I'll try to talk to as many new people as I can and try to make it again next year!

The nearest craft store to my house is like 45 minutes away, and it's a Joanne's (a tiny one, might I add). So I walk in the other day to get some buckram for my new fursuit head and the ladies behind the counter look at me like I just asked them if I could run naked through the store or something. They go get the manager and she comes out and says "Oh I know what you mean. It's over on aisle 9." So I proceed to aisle 9. I find nothing but tulle in pretty rainbow colors. Ordering my buckram from their website instead.

Just booked a room at the Westin for my gf and me! I'm so excited! Anthrocon 2013 here we come! Looking forward to meeting lots of new people and having an awesome time!

I pre-registered before the end of the year, and I just now reserved our train tickets. We'll be taking the Amtrak from Virginia, and we get to stop at Union Station in DC for some sight-seeing too! We expect to arrive in Pittsburgh at almost midnight on the 3rd lol. So excited!

Due to an extreme and totally random increase in my workload, my dragon suit has been pushed back. I hope now to have it done by the end of the year. I still need to wire up the LEDs, but the tail and bodysuit are more or less done, and the head is foamed. I decided to change the eyes a few weeks ago. Hopefully I'll have a picture of those soon. Other than that, not much else is going on at the moment. I've got a few commissions that I need to get done by next week for a local client, so I'll upload pics as I finish those. I don't know exactly what they're for without looking at my white board in the work room, but they include a yellow cat tail, a red and grey hat with wolf ears and handpaws, and a pink and purple fur pillow for the client's mom.

Right Now I'm preparing my new suit to go to Anthrocon 2013, because lord knows there's nowhere decent to fursuit around where I live. I'm hoping to have the dragon suit done by mid-October, because the time around halloween will be very busy for me, as I will become a zombie like I do every year. (Shhhh! Don't tell anyone!) I might go to other cons, but I'm not sure yet. However, AC is a definate yes.
