Time to Restart
Posted 6 years agoHello everybody, sorry for the drought of art lately. I've been in the middle of making a series reboot and I've been wondering where I should post most of my work. In the end, I've decided that those places will be here on FA and on my Discord. I've made many, many arts in the past couple of months so I'll start trying to post them all here. Look forward to it! :D

Posted 8 years ago...starting a Patreon page wasn't the way to go for me. For the nature of the work that I do a site like Patreon just doesn't seem to gel well with it. So instead I'm going to take some ideas that I came up with for my Patreon page and just apply them to my main account here and on FA.
Pokemon up for Trade
Posted 8 years agoI was breeding some Pokemon that I want to use on a new team when I start a new game of Pokemon Ultra Moon and I've got a lot of extras that could use a new home. I'm willing to take anything you have to spare but Shiny Pokemon or just Pokemon that I don't have in my Pokemon Bank are the ones that I'd like most. The Pokemon up for trade are:
Torchic (10, all Male) each knows Low Kick and Blaze ability
Sentret (7, all Male) each knows Iron Tail and has Keen Eye ability
Goomy (6, half Male, half Female) each knows Iron Tail and five of the six has the Gooey Ability
Froakie (32, all Male) 18 of them has the Protean Ability
All of these are at Lv. 1, perfect for those of you who want to start a new game. If you'd like, I can even nickname your desired Pokemon a name of your choice before sending it over to you. This offer will be good for a week before I just decide to give them out via Wonder Trade. All who are interested please contact me. ^^

Hiatus Over
Posted 8 years ago...I just can't do it. I can't put myself on a forced hiatus when I'm just too inspired right now. Now that I'm no longer freaking out about my laptop cracking in a certain place I see that if I just keep it open the problem won't get any worse. So I'm going to get back to my regular routine of data management, drawing new art and continuing RPs starting this very moment. It was only for a day but it feels like an eternity...I need routine to function -w-;
Going on a hiatus
Posted 8 years agoHello everybody. Well, it's finally happened; my laptop is beginning to break down, so if I want to be around in the future then I must begin the process of acquiring a new laptop. So until I can get a new one and get everything setup on it I'll be going on a temporary hiatus for both art and RPs. I just finished updating my backup drive so that I won't have to start from square one with the new laptop but so that I won't have to keep updating it I'm putting everything else on hold. Hopefully this won't last for too long...
Re-submissions are now finished!
Posted 8 years agoJust finished re-submitting the last of the Travel Multversal series. Now you should all be able to read any of the episodes without having to download them first. Please enjoy and be sure to read future ones that are posted. ^^
Resubmissions
Posted 8 years agoHey everybody, it has been a while since I last made a journal here. I'm currently in the process of resubmitting all of my episodes of Travel Multiversal so that you can all read them without having to download them first. I'll be gradually re-posting them so be sure to check out the gallery to read them if you are interested. I'll make another journal later to let you all know when it is done. ^^
Offering Commissions at Bargain Prices
Posted 8 years agoI've noticed something about the people I follow here: when they are doing commissions they advertise like crazy. I've been offering to do commissions for about a year now and I've only had one solid customer (and I greatly thank him for being that great customer) so I've decided to follow their example and begin advertising more often.

Plans for 2017
Posted 9 years agoHello everybody and welcome to 2017! This is a very big year for me as it marks the 20th year for my series Travel Multiversal. :D Like I did for the 15th anniversary, throughout the year I will draw a few more Generation-themed arts to showcase how much my OCs have changed over the years. Story-wise I think that I can safely say that TM Episode 1 is about 60% complete as of this moment; I would like to thank my buddies
kamehame,
flashshadow,
rokku-d and
dragonglare for their constant support and I hope that we can continue to work together and make more projects together.
As for year specific projects there is one that I’ve been thinking about for a while now: Travel Multiversal Origins. I’ve gone into light detail about many of my OC’s respective histories when I introduce each one but I’ve never gone into big detail about some of them. Not all of them have big, eventful pasts so I don’t know how long I’ll be able to support this idea but I’ve already got the tales for three specific characters in mind and I would just need to make time to type them out. Perhaps I’ll just do those three and see where things go from there.
And there is one more project that I want to finally officially announce. It is a series that I wanted to make into a group project originally under the tentative name “Planet Otaku.” Without going into super detail about what the project was about it was going to be a series set in an alternate universe where a special comet bestowed special powers upon certain creative individuals. I would’ve wanted everyone to create their own new hero or take an existing character of theirs and give them a new role in this new universe. But after thinking about it for a while and taking a look at some of the arts made by my buddy
rokku-d about how some of his OCs have different counterparts in alternate universes or his Tomodachi Life arts. I got to thinking: Travel Multiversal is supposed to be about adventures throughout different universes that all got linked together but so far I’ve only focused on one cluster of connected universes. Why not let these universes blossom into something more? So with that I’d like to announce the start of project “Travel Multiversal AU: Another Universe.” To those of you with a series and collection of characters that are your own, is there a set-up or group of set-ups that you’ve thought about developing but would never work in your current series cannon? Then let those ideas run wild and free as you let these stories play out in another universe where such things are possible without the restrictions of your previously established cannon! Got a story to tell in the universe of Splatoon, Dragon Ball or other universes like that? Tell them! :D Who knows, maybe you’ll like what you’ve created and decide to make it into a new series for yourself. You’re characters do exist in other universes and they each have their own stories to tell; give them that chance. ^w^
Oh, and before I forget...again...there is one more special thing that I'll be doing for this year: a contest...and not just any contest, a year-long contest! Travel Multiversal has been live on DA for six years going on seven and in that time there have been many events throughout the series. So in honor of Travel Multiversal's 20th year, in this contest I'd like any who would like to participate to draw their favorite Travel Multiversal moment, character or group of characters. It can be from any of the stories in my gallery or maybe even a tribute to your favorite character from the series. There is no limit to the amount of entries. The winning art chosen will receive a special prize: a free request for each month of the year of 2018! :D
Okay, that’s it for now. If there is anything that I forgot I’ll make sure to update this journal later. Till next time, See ya and have a wonderful year ;)

Classic Sonic revisited
Posted 9 years agoHi, today I found out that nearly all of the games on my Steam wishlist were on sale (most of which were only $2.49) so I splurged and bought a whole bunch of classic games as well as HuniePop since it was also so cheap. So in all I bought all of the classic Sonic the Hedgehog games this afternoon. And after trying to play Sonic 1 and 2 something dawned on me...I suck at these games now. WHAT THE 'ECK HAPPENED!? I used to be a king at those games in my earlier days. Has my skill slipped because I haven't played them in so long? Or is it that these games were way more difficult than I remember? A few years ago I played all of the classic Mario games again for the first time in years and they were cake! I even recently bought The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for my 3DS Virtual Console and I had an even better time navigating that despite forgetting where a lot of the collectibles were. Heck, I'm finding the classic Mega Man games easier to get through than the classic Sonic games! >o< I don't know if it's the port or the controller I'm using but Sonic feels so much more slipperier than I remember. Have any of you played a game you loved in the past years later to find that you suck at it now? Let me tell you, it's not a good feeling; maybe I truly am just getting old...or these games just weren't as balanced as the game I play now are...I sure hope that it is the latter... ^^; Just a few more days and we'll be in the new year...and for me it is a big one. I'll let you all know what I have planned this upcoming Sunday. Till next time, See ya!
Animated Reboots that I actually like
Posted 9 years agoHello, there is something that I've noticed for quite a while. You can see it all the time on YouTube of people pointing out all of the flaws of TV shows, especially animated reboots, but I never see any talking about them in even a semi-positive light. So I thought that I would take some time to give you my thoughts on some of the most recent animated reboots that I thought were actually okay and passable. If you think that these shows are bad then that's okay; it's just that I think that these shows aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be and that if you haven't checked any of these out then maybe you'd give them a shot.
The Tom and Jerry Show
I loved the original Tom and Jerry shorts; they made up a majority of my childhood. Tom and Jerry Kids came and went without making any impact on me; it just wasn't interesting to me. Tom and Jerry Tales came out and it was actually nice; just more of the same Tom and Jerry antics that we all knew and love. Then The Tom and Jerry Show came out and tried something new...and I loved them for it! They divided the show up into four different settings: the classic setting where Tom is a house cat trying to catch or mess with Jerry, the magical setting where they live with two sister witches and get into all sorts of magical mayhem, the crime drama setting where they are detectives that solve various mysteries and the science setting where Jerry, along with a rat named Napoleon, are lab rats in a science lab and Tom is a local alley cat that constantly gets into the lab. Instead of just one tried and true setting to draw from for these two classic characters there are four great settings that each tell their own story and have their own world. Whenever the show is on I look forward to see what antics the cat and mouse duo get in to. Oh, and the animation style that they chose was pretty neat as well.
Peanuts
What can I say about Peanuts that hasn't already been said? Timeless, classic, funny; this show is all of these things with a bright new color scheme. It takes many of the classic setups and tells them with fresh animation that pays homage to Schulz' art style. Just give it a watch, I can promise that you'll find something to like.
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!
There have been several Scooby-Doo reboots in the past but I don't think we've had one quite like this one. In the most recent ones, What's New, Scooby-Doo? was like a continuation of the original series and Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated tried something new by telling a large intertwining story of mystery and the supernatural. I like both of those series but after how serious the previous series was it was actually refreshing to see a Scooby-Doo series not take itself seriously at all. This show definitely likes to poke fun at itself and the history that the series has built up during the years. It's not trying to be deep, it's not trying to be involving, it's not trying to redefine itself; the show is just trying it's best to make you laugh. Sometimes you just need a show like that, especially if you've had a particularly hard or depressing day. The animation might not be the best but man is it funny! XD
Wabbit
When I first saw the promos for this I was dead set against it. I thought "They cancelled The Looney Tunes Show to make this!? What a rip!!!" Yes, those were my thoughts...until I actually watched it. I was pleasantly surprised by what I got: a return to form for Bugs Bunny. While I still like The Looney Tunes Show in general there were only a handful of episodes that I would want to watch over and over again; with Wabbit on the other hand, it doesn't matter which episode is on, I just want to watch it. I hope that this is a series that can continue for more than two seasons. It was fun just seeing classic Bugs Bunny getting into mischief, outsmarting his opponents with his usual antics and basically being the stinker we've come to love :D
The Powerpuff Girls
The entire reason I decided to write this journal. This series gets so much hate for not being EXACTLY like the original series. And I ask you: is it truly bad because of that? I grew up with the original series; I remember taping the World Premier Toon episode back in 1995 when they first graced the TV screen. I've seen nearly every episode of the original series and I agree that it is not the same, but that doesn't make the series irredeemable? I think not! The original series was more action oriented and focused more on the villains, the girls taking them down, the humor of the side characters and the commentary of the narrator. The new series is more focused on the girls in general and giving them what they didn't really have in the original series: personality. While it's true that I miss seeing Mojo Jojo try and fail with all of his ridiculous plans I like seeing the girls develop as characters; I mean, the show is called "The Powerpuff Girls", am I right; so why shouldn't they be the focus of the show? I honestly don't see where all of the hate for this series is coming from.
These are just my thoughts on these reboots. I don't know if I got all of my thoughts out or not but this what I generally feel about these five. To me, these five are WAY better than Teen Titans GO could ever hope to be. What are your thoughts on these shows? Please tell me if you'd like. Till next time, See ya!

Bought my first Steam game today...
Posted 9 years ago...it was Undertale. I paid extra to get the game and soundtrack together on a whim as opposed to just getting the base game like had originally planned. 40+ minutes into the game and I came to this realization: ...BEST $18 i'VE SPENT iN A LONG TiME! I've already seen others play this game so I knew what to expect from it but that pales in comparison to actually playing the game...especially playing it my way! I've gotten used to playing on my laptop for the most part and can figure out the bullet-hell patterns a bit better as I played, but the story that I already knew still hit in an emotional way. It still stung to reject Toriel's loving offer of protection, Sans and Papyrus are just as hilarious, the battles are still fun to get through and the music...oh the music, it's incredible! I'm so glad I paid extra for the soundtrack! I can already tell that I'm going to have a lot of fun with the rest of the game and Steam in general, especially once I get a game controller for future games. If any of you have a recommendation on game controllers for the PC please let me know; I want to have one for when I start purchasing Sonic games. Till nest time, See ya!
I'm on Steam
Posted 9 years agoSo yeah, I joined Steam about a month or two ago but I haven't bought any games just yet; my first game will definitely be Undertale then I'll buy some Sonic games for nostalgia's sake and then a few select indie titles. If you also have a Steam account let me know; I'm looking to add people to my friends list. ^^
Another toxic fanbase?
Posted 9 years agoWARNiNG: This is just my silly opinion, take it with a grain of salt.
I'm beginning to wonder if I need to add the Paper Mario fanbase on my list of toxic fanbases. I'll admit that I understand where their rage is coming from. The first two Paper Mario games were great because of the characters they introduced, the RPG timing-based battle system and the massive worlds to explore. Sure, Super Paper Mario was more of a platformer but it made up for that by giving you an amazing and engaging story line. And I greatly understand the outrage with Paper Mario: Sticker Star. Needing to use stickers that disappeared after one use to attack, limited sticker storage, none of the strategic leveling up or badges to play around with, no colorful characters to aid you in your quest, the cryptic as heck boss battles that required specific stickers to actually be able to defeat; yeah, I was not a fan of that. But after my disappointment settled down I took a look back at the last game to see what it did do right. It got the paper theme down very well, it was kind of fun searching for secrets like the HP upgrades and Luigi spots and the music was quite good. The battle system, while kind of annoying, did keep the timing-based battling; I'm not saying that I liked what they did in the game but I am saying that the concept was interesting but poorly executed. And from what I saw in the more recent footage of Color Splash, some of my previous gripes with Sticker Star seem to have been fixed. For one thing, you're always guaranteed two turns instead of having to screw around with a roulette at the beginning of battle. The cards don't seem to disappear after one use and will instead lose color which means that they'll be less powerful if you don't repaint them. There are multi-attack cards that can let you attack 2 to 3 times with one card. The game seems to hand out these cards like hotcakes by coloring in the environment and defeating enemies. Maybe life has taught me to be more chill about things like these but I'm willing to give the new Paper Mario game a chance if they did indeed fix some of the more questionable design choices of Sticker Star. I'm still pessimistic about the upcoming Mario game but I'm willing to give it the chance to prove me right or wrong. After almost letting Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World ruin all my confidence in JRPGs I swore to myself to never let a single game in a beloved series forever skew my view so drastically. Thanks to that attitude I wasn't too greatly disappointed with Metroid: Other M and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. You've got to live with hope...

Thanks to that attitude I wasn't too greatly disappointed with Metroid: Other M and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. You've got to live with hope...
No iDEAL Month this year...
Posted 9 years agoe-chan: Yes, there will be no iDEAL Month this year; in fact, I'm cancelling all future iDEAL Months to come...
iDEAL: WHA!?
e-chan: ...in order to bring you something much better. :)
iDEAL: Huh?
e-chan: I've learned that trying to do nothing but arts with one character as the focus for an entire month was hard and at most times rushed in terms of overall quality. And when I thought about it, iDEAL isn't my only series mascot.
iDEAL: I'm not? O_o
e-chan: No, there are also your little sisters, Dream and Desire.
Dream: That's us! :D
Desire: Hooray!
e-chan: And for three great mascots like you one month just isn't enough; no, you need an entire season! :)
iDEAL: So, what does that mean for this year and the years to come?
e-chan: While iDEAL Month may be no more I'm happy to announce the beginning of the Summer of D. All summer long I will be drawing arts that include not only iDEAL but also Dream, Desire and the rest of their friends and family. I'll be taking requests for this event all summer long so everybody should be able to get a chance to participate. Now unlike iDEAL Month I won't dedicate this event exclusively to just D Sister arts, I'll be drawing my regulars stuff as well to keep the momentum of things going and not burn out halfway through. I hope that everybody interested will pitch their ideas to me.
Dream: Big sis isn't the only one who likes to cosplay; let us wear cute outfits too~ ^3^
Desire: I can't wait to spend the entire summer with everybody; especially with e-chan, Lalao and Mama Moonshredder~
iDEAL: Please behave yourself, Desire... -.-;
e-chan: Let's all have fun all summer long as the Summer of D begins NOW! :D

To game console owners...
Posted 9 years agoTo all of you who have ever owned a game console before and have since upgraded to a later or the latest console generation I have a question: do you ever look back and miss a console that you once owned? Personally I've owned every single Nintendo home console (minus the Virtual Boy) and I have fond memories of each of them. The NES was my gateway to the world of Nintendo at a very young age. My Super Nintendo continued where the NES left off, introducing me to many unique, cool and quirky titles. The Nintendo 64 introduced me to 3D gaming with even more cool and quirky titles. The Nintendo Gamecube was just great with many quality all-age titles along with a few more mature titles to give me more variety. The Nintendo Wii was by far my favorite console of the last generation with a plethora of great titles for all ages, the best use of motion controls and literally a game for every kind of gamer. The Nintendo Wii U, while short on titles, gave me the ability to play console games just like I would a handheld: playing a quality game while watching my favorite TV shows at the same time.
I bring all this up because lately I've been watching playthroughs of past games that I've played before. Said games are from consoles of the past that cost a fortune on Amazon right now. In particular, the Nintendo Gamecube; there were a lot of great games on that console that more of the mainstream gamers of that time passed up on. Games like Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Sunshine, Pikmin 1 and 2, Tales of Symphonia, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Pokemon Colosseum and XD, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2 and many many more...man I miss that console. I managed to hold onto my Nintendo 64 and Wii despite upgrading to a Wii U but man do I miss my Gamecube sometimes. Do any of you get that feeling sometimes, especially now that most gaming consoles aren't backwards compatible with many past games that you already owned but don't want to buy again just yet? Let me know and we can reminisce. ^^

Lost my spark...
Posted 9 years agoHey everybody...I don't know what it is but I feel as though I've lost my creative spark these past few weeks. Maybe I'm finally feeling the effects of not being able to come and go as I please due to the loss of my car. All I know is that I haven't been able to draw anything recently despite having many ideas in my head and recently getting some new accessories for my pen tablet. Right now all I seem to want to do is play my 3DS and watch whatever is interesting on TV. I've got ideas but I just can't get them out now... *sighs* Hopefully this will pass soon enough...
It's Official...
Posted 9 years ago...my car is dead and will cost more than it is worth to be repaired. *sighs* Just another one of life's curve balls, I suppose. I should be feeling more upset, sad and frustrated right now but maybe the gravity of the situation hasn't fully hit me yet seeing as how I'm feeling quite okay right now. But should my mood ever shift in the next few days I'll just do what I've always done and take it one day at a time. Guess I'll get back to drawing in the meantime.
Just Updated to Windows 10
Posted 9 years agoHello, I just finished updating my laptop to Windows 10. So far it isn't too-too different from Windows 7. My Paint Tool SAi program didn't work at first but after googling the problem I found a solution and got it fixed right away. Hopefully there are no problems that I need to troubleshoot for my printer settings. Guess there is only one way to find out: draw a new picture and try to scan it. Sorry for the lack of art lately, I've been distracted by all of the great games I recently acquired. ^^; I've got ideas but I'm thinking about trying out coloring my arts with SAi now after seeing how a fellow artist did so on a livestream. If this goes well I might start using SAi to draw my arts as well (the only thing stopping me from doing so now is that I never know how big to make my initial canvas so if any of you know some ideal starting sizes please let me know) Till next time, See ya!
LUCKY!!
Posted 10 years agoHello, I really lucked out today! I walked into GameStop today thinking about adding a Greninja amiibo to my collection when I saw them in stock when I went to pick up my copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X yesterday. When shopping for amiibos I always check out the wall of used game figures before I move on to the new ones. Among the MANY Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures I found 4 used amiibos: a Kirby, a Bowser, a Wario and a...'OLY CRAP!! A MEGA MAN AMiiBO!! I actually found a Mega Man amiibo, one of the rarest and hardest to find for sale or at a reasonable price amiibos, at GameStop! Needless to say that I bought it immediately and am currently training it up on Smash Bros for Wii U. I haven't had a break this good since I found an incredibly rare Wii game there a few years back. I guess that it pays to be a persistent shopper sometimes. Now all I need is a Lucina and Shulk amiibo and I'll have all of the ones that I REALLY want and will get the others at my leisure. :D
Also commissions are still open for those who are interested. Send your requests via notes, plz. :) Till next time, See ya!

New Wardrobe Contest! 10/11/2015 UPDATE
Posted 10 years agoHello, in order to see the possible response I might get for the contest I have planned for Travel Multiversal's 20 Anniversary I thought that I'd throw a special contest for the next month. The theme? New wardrobes for the TM cast! I've noticed something: my OCs have been wearing the same style of clothes since I introduced them all; for some that is five years. So the contest is coming up with new wardrobes for members of the TM cast of your choice. You can find the TM cast here http://eshonen.deviantart.com/galle.....nal-Characters and here http://e-shonen-checkmarkbios.blogspot.com/
Now I know that there are some of you who would like to participate but don't draw. For those of you who fit that category I will accept Kisekae images, other doll maker images and even detailed text descriptions about the outfits accompanied with an image of some sort. Since there are a lot of characters to choose from the more designs you make the more chances you have for winning the grand prize so multiple entries with different characters are greatly encouraged.
1st Place = 3 requests
2nd Place = 2 single character portraits
3rd Place = 1 sketch
UPDATE!! 10/11/2015
Contest runs from 09/25/2015 to 11/30/2015. Winners will be announced soon afterwards.
I hope that you will take part in my first contest. I'll update this journal with more information when needed. Till next time, See ya! ^w^
