Mojito's furmeet 2017
Posted 8 years agoWelcome to Mojito's meet.
It is an open event and everybody can join.
This meet takes place in Pärnu at Rüütli 51a. Official start is on October 14, at 12.00. But you can arrive on October 13 in the evening as I call it a pre-meet. The meet ends on October 15.
Planned activities:
Poker tournament where buy-in is 1€.
Old school gaming contest.
Watching some movies.
Walking around the city.
Cooking.
Drinking.
Just dance 4.
Just chilling in my apartment.
Maybe going into local nightclubs in the evening.
Those who have cars can pick up people who do not have cars and who want to come too.
Invite so many people as you can, so that we can have a wicked house party.
It would be good if you brought some moneyz with you so that I could cook and buy drinks for you. Maybe 5 to 10€ per person.

This furmeet takes place on May 6 near Otepää. Official start is at 5 PM but you can arrive earlier.
When you arrive at Otepää call this number: +37258225048. Transport by car may be possible from Otepää on certain extent.
Languages known to be spoken here are English and Estonian.
Guidelines and planned events:
Grill - you are welcome to bring food to grill for yourself and to share with friends. Some food is available at place (including smoked meat).
Sauna + shower
Swimming in pond
Hot water barrel for bathing
Socializing
Possible to walk in nature
Indoors rooms in case of rain
Wearing partial or full fursuits is welcomed
Having fun
Please tell everyfur that you are going to Roncon through places where furries might be at and pick them up if you can.
There are some restrictions in place too. Please follow them.
Due to certain circumstances please do not bring any stronger alcohol. Beer is OK.
This is a PG event with some non-furries nearby. Please avoid behaviour towards the organizer and each other that may put non-furries under stress.
Do not go to swimming when drunk or if you can't swim.
Do not fight.
The event lasts one evening. You can spend night at the place but nothing is going on on May 7 any more.
You can still go and enjoy beautiful nature around Otepää before returning home.

For already 3rd year,
Ravel is having his birthday with furs around, making it a longest tradition in history of Estonian furmeets.
We start at 14 o'clock on Saturday, June 6th. You can arrive early, if needed. Traditionally, we will have grill and chill in the garden, have a fursuit walk around in Märjamaa and when it gets colder in the evening, retreat to cozy yet spacious the apartment.
On Sunday we have planned a hike at Jalase nature path (2.6 km / http://loodusegakoos.ee/kuhuminna/k.....ase-loodusrada).
Should you like extended stay you can stay until Tuesday, June 9.
FOOD: Food is provided by Ravel, there is groceries in the walking distance and gas stations (Olerex and Statoil) in 2 minutes drive (

SLEEP: Please be prepared to sleep on the floor, so bring your sleeping bag and mat.

Ravel is celebrating his birthday (June 5th) on Saturday, June 7th at his home in Märjamaa. As always, he is inviting all the furries in Estonia to party and most likely wouldn't say no to any foreign furs who might want to join us. Only birthday gift he wishes for is hugs! :)

9th Estonian Furmeet: Latvian Edition - May 16-18, 2014
Posted 11 years agoOn the weekend of May 16th - 18th a Latvian fur Amri will visit Tallinn. He wants to rock the city and Estonian furries will help him to do it!
Amri is arriving on the morning of May 16th and we have already planned that

will meet him at the bus station.
We are gonna show him the old town on Saturday, May 17th and most likely visit a museum or two as well. If you have any suggestions what places it would be fun to visit (museums, attractions, pubs?) don't hesitate to COMMENT! :)

8th Estonian Furmeet: Kheldis Edition

We are gathering at 16:00 at Vabaduse väljak in front of Jaani church.
The furmeet consists of pub evening on February 24th and museum day on February 25th. Guest of Honor: Kheldis the Dragon from Finland, organizer of Kajaani Furmeets.
On the first day, we will gather at Vabaduse väljak and will take a short walk to old town as usual. The first stop is pancake house Kompressor (Rataskaevu 3) which serves huge pancakes, later we will wander to Hell Hunt (Pikk 39) for drinks and snacks.
Second day is the museum day, there are ideas to visiteither live spiders exhibition at Estonian Museum of Natural History (Lai 29A, admission 3 EUR) OR Titanic artifact exhibition at Seaplane Harbour (Lennusadam, Küti 17 / Vesilennuki 6, admission 7 / 14 EUR) OR both*. Let us know if you are interested visiting either museum on February 25th and we can figure out the meeting place and time.

We are gathering at 13:30 at Vabaduse väljak in front of Jaani church.

Eurofurence 19 was held in Magdeburg, Germany on the third weekend of August (21st to 25th). This year's theme was "Aloha Hawaii", so wearing lei (a wreath of flowers) around your neck was a very common thing to see around the convention site.
The convention broke an unnoticed record of having the most Estonian furries attending - four, with riverside, 
mustangspark, 
valkatr and 
pillgrim attending the con.
More officially, the convention had 1,376 attendees, and raised 19,307€ for their charity, much of it came from Uncle Kage's spontaneous charity booth at the lobby which ended up him singing karaoke. In addition to regular fursuit walk in the center of Magdeburg, the visit to the zoo was organized prior the opening ceremony with the finale of having all the fursuiters in the empty rhino habitat for the visitors of zoo to see.
On the opening ceremony it was also announced that Eurofurence will leave Magdeburg, the 20th Eurofurence being held at Estrel Hotel in Berlin, Germany.

NORDICFUZZCON 2014
With the registration opening date being postponed twice, the NordicFuzzCon board has stated that the registration to NordicFuzzCon 2014 (Feb 27 - Mar 2) will be opened at September 17 at 19:00 (EET / Estonian time). As the venue is the same as the last year, the spots are expected to fill up quickly so anyone who wants to participate should act quickly. Information and prices is on their website, http://www.nordicfuzzcon.org. Any addional information about travelling from Estonia can be retrieved from riverside.

Eurofurence 18 con report
Posted 13 years agoDon't know if you have noticed the absence of mustangspark, riverside and skyrmion over the last week? That was majorly because they were attending Eurofurence 18 in Magdeburg, Germany.
The trip took place fairly early, as the flight to Helsinki (to go to Berlin) was scheduled for 6:05 in the morning. By the time of slightly after noon (which actually felt like 5PM due to long day) a train arrived to Magdeburg. The convention venue, Hotel Maritim, already had a noisy lobby and long registering line for early-arrival furries.
riverside took a obligation to suit every evening, as well as at the 1.6 km fursuit walk around the hotel, (which involved entering the local shopping center Allee-Center) and fursuit group photo with dance right after. mustangspark was a bit more modest, but the noble black stallion was still seen out and about.
skyrmion spent most of the time in the artists' lounge, but during the daytime one could catch him lounging in the hotel lobby or entrance and chatting with all different people.
Estonian furries also gave their addition to wine tasting panel with tasty dessert wines from Põltsamaa and Valtu. The most appreciated where cranberry and blackcurrant, but there was not bottle left behind. Very demanded was a bottle of Vana Tallinn, that made the most ardent drink of the panel. The wines and liqueur where also tasted by Uncle Kage and 2 the Ranting Griffin. Bottles of Vana Tallinn were presented to both Uncle Kage and con head Cheetah as a present from Estonian furry community.
The time was rushing by fast and con-routine was soon taken to the last day. It was a sad day - furries leaving with luggage, pawpet show set pieces thrown in to garbage. We managed to meet diti who was happy to see fellow furs from flacko's country. Yet there was many to stay on the last night's event - Dead Dog Party.
The con wasn't only sealed with hotel walls - there were furs wandring around, wearing tails around the site and to the cross-the-street City Carree shopping center. Smiles and greets were exchanged. Nearby restorans offered special deals for furries, nearby hostel and guesthouse had also relative amount of furries accommodated.
Estonians made contacts with furries, fursuiters and artists from Germany, Hungary, UK, Finland, Russia, Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Brazil, Greece, USA, Lithuania, Poland, Norway and many other countries not listed here because riverside's head is a pumpkin.
The trip took place fairly early, as the flight to Helsinki (to go to Berlin) was scheduled for 6:05 in the morning. By the time of slightly after noon (which actually felt like 5PM due to long day) a train arrived to Magdeburg. The convention venue, Hotel Maritim, already had a noisy lobby and long registering line for early-arrival furries.
riverside took a obligation to suit every evening, as well as at the 1.6 km fursuit walk around the hotel, (which involved entering the local shopping center Allee-Center) and fursuit group photo with dance right after. mustangspark was a bit more modest, but the noble black stallion was still seen out and about.
skyrmion spent most of the time in the artists' lounge, but during the daytime one could catch him lounging in the hotel lobby or entrance and chatting with all different people.
Estonian furries also gave their addition to wine tasting panel with tasty dessert wines from Põltsamaa and Valtu. The most appreciated where cranberry and blackcurrant, but there was not bottle left behind. Very demanded was a bottle of Vana Tallinn, that made the most ardent drink of the panel. The wines and liqueur where also tasted by Uncle Kage and 2 the Ranting Griffin. Bottles of Vana Tallinn were presented to both Uncle Kage and con head Cheetah as a present from Estonian furry community.

Nordic Fuzz Con
Posted 13 years agoIt was advertised on Eurofurence that, on the Easter weekend from Thursday the 28th to Sunday the 31st of March 2013, a furry convention Nordic Fuzz Con (NFC) will be held in Stockholm, Sweden.
There isn't much additional information yet, but it is stated that they have everything to be expected from a furry convention, including but not limited to:
* Lounge area
* Fursuit games
* Tabletop gaming
* Fursuit photoshoot
* Artists' Alley
* Winter BBQ
That's about it EstonianFurs can announce so far, but we'd like to hear if there are any furs interested in participating? We could prolly get a rather cheapish ferry ride to Stockholm and although the city itself is expensive, this might be easier to attend to as any further-placed cons. Estonian furry artists could probably also have their stuff on art show and dealers den.
Anyone interested going?

flacko suggested that we could arrange another furmeet in Tartu! Whadda'ya think about it?
Would you attend?
What could we plan there? Have a fursuit walk on Toomemägi and Tartu old town? Visit botanical gardens or Elistvere Animal Park (30km out of Tartu)?
mustangspark would prolly invite us to his place for the evening.
The furmeet could be held on some weekend of September or early October and prolly last from Saturday morning (riding to Tartu) to Sunday (furs who don't want to stay overnight can leave on Saturday).

It's time to announce the time of the 5th Estonian Furmeet!

Where: Tallinn Zoo (North gates), Paldiski maantee 145, Tallinn
How to get there:
Trolleys 6, 7
Buses 21, 21B, 22
Stop "Zoo"
(If you need further directions, please let us know by commenting or sending a note to riverside)
What it will cost:
Ticket to the zoo will cost:
5.10 € / adult
2.60 € / student, pensioner (please have your student card/ISIC/pensioner's certificate with you!)
If possible, have the correct amount cash with you, there may not be enough change.
+ whatever you're gonna spend at zoo and/or pub.
Planned:
1. A traditional walk at the zoo
2. Dinner at nearby Rebasemäe Pubi (Ehitajate tee 122)
3. Later we will prolly set down at someone's place, watching some vids, more chatting, etc.
What to bring?
You can bring (and wear) your ears/tail/paws and bring extra stuff to show others.
You can also bring your drawings/fiction and your drawing/writing blocks and pencils in case you may get urge to doodle something.
