First Con Finished - CanFURence 2016 - It rocked!
Posted 9 years agoI made a trip to Canada to attend my first furry convention! I picked up
Mishi and
Sparky_d on my way to Ottawa. This drive was very similar to my ride home from Joecifur's place as we traveled mostly at night. It was flat and boring with a few exciting moments in Toronto proper.
When I got to Ottawa, I met
Aldi for the first time.
There were many places I showed up. My friend
ledgema took me on a personal photoshoot. This was very nice of him to do so. We also went on a walk through the city of Ottawa where the citizens thought we were adorable and loved us. A Canadian Sailor offered to by me a drink! I got to walk in my first fursuit parade and my roomates and I went to the Canadian Parliment building to get a group shot of all 4 of us.
It was very good spending time with old friends and making new friends. Thanks to everybody at CanFURence for being so nice to me!

Hello World!
Posted 9 years agoIt was a long and rough trip but I finally made it home from
joecifur's place.
It was a rough 1000 miles journey from Georgia to Illinois.
I was thrown into the back of a brown UPS truck and driven to a sorting center in Dothan Georgia in the greater Atlanta area. After being tossed around and riding on a dozen conveyor belts I ended up in the back of a 28 foot Pup trailer. After a grueling mountain ride up Interstate 75 and 24 I ended up Nashville Tennessee. All I wanted to do was get a breath of fresh air but nope - another ride thru a maze of conveyor belts and I ended up in the back of another 28 foot pup trailer.
It was a boring ride up Interstate 65 thru Kentucky and Indiana, but it didn't matter - these UPS trailers are dark on the inside and you can't see much. I got to spend an extra hour in the trailer thanks to Chicago rush hour. I ended up in Hodgkins Illinois inside a huge sorting center. There were a lot of smelly boxes there that came off trains from California and New York.
After geting set aside and forgotten about for a few hours I became a hot potato. They threw me in the back of a bobtail truck and drove me out to Westmont. Then they put me on a shelf and later into another bobtail for ride to the forgotten city of Rockdale. At 4:37 in the morning I was loaded onto a Grumman delivery truck and delivered to my owner in Joliet.
For sure I thought I was going to get out of that damned box. I was tired and cramped. But no, he let me sit in the living room for a day then drove me up to Lake County. Instead of unboxing me, he left in the back seat of his Toyota while he helped a friend in Round Lake fix his roof and install gutters and helped another friend install flooring in his new home.
On Halloween I rode down to a small farming town between Bloomington and Springfield. It was at a friend's house that I was finally unboxed. My owner had never seen completed photos of me before. He was amazed at how big and fluffy my tail was. Thankfully he didn't waste any time unpacking me and putting me on. Unfortunately, he left his belt at home. Thankfully his friend managed to find a large strap that was capable of supporting such a large tail.
I came to life just in time to hand out candy to the children. The neighbors thought I was the greatest thing ever. They were in a small town and had never seen a huge cartoon animal before, much less a cute Coywolf such as myself. After the children had finished I posed for a quick photoshoot.
I am very glad to be out of that box and I'm looking forward to sharing more photos and stories with you.
