The FINEST gamer-rage I have EVER seen!!!!
General | Posted 10 years ago............. I look like WHO???!!
General | Posted 10 years agoI was out taking an evening stroll, and a young (around 14 or so) guy politely stopped me and asked, with a completely straight face, if I was aware of how much I looked like Walter "Heisenberg" White from Breaking bad. He seemed genuinely impressed.
I was mostly thinking ".......Da fuq???" but then I thought about it, remembering the guy's face from trailers and cutscenes, and I realize....
Holy fuck, I *DO* look like him.
That.... kinda caught me off-guard.
Now, I haven't actually seen the series, but I'm aware of the character and how he looks.
Again, holy shit.
This.... I did not see it coming.
*feeling completely stumped*

Heads-up about an artist in need.
General | Posted 10 years ago[EDIT] Just noticed that I didn't actually link to the journal in question, which doesn't help the artist much. Changed and now re-uploaded
Hey everyone.
I wanted to take a moment here to spread the word about a great artist I've done business with. LarizSantos on DeviantArt seems to be having a little trouble with his bills this month. See below for info.
http://www.deviantart.com/journal/N.....ries-543065579
I have worked with him before, and he might not be quite the fastest artist I've ever worked with (it might take him a month or so to get to and finish your pic), he is without a doubt one of the most detailed ones, and I can't recommend him enough. His prices are reasonable (for the amazing level of detail you get), he sends WIPs as he progresses and he listens closely to your input. In short, a wonderful artist to work with for a detail-oriented guy like me.
A quick note, as far as I know he does not offer adult art, so that's off the table, but otherwise you're good.
If you want o know about his commission terms and prices, please have a look here. http://larizsantos.deviantart.com/j.....Info-535438020
So, if you want some great artwork from a very nice artists, consider sending him a note. You won't regret it. ;)

General | Posted 10 years agoWell, that's one more medical condition I wasn't really asking for but got anyway.
Got up to pee just for midnight last night and thought I was done, but for some reason the pressure wouldn't go away. Thinking it would pass, I went to bed. But after about 10 minutes the pressure on my bladder still hadn't gone away. Puzzled, I went back to the bathroom, but couldn't get more than a few drops out. As the pressure had gotten a bit worse, I somehow thought I'd hurt myself in the groin area and not noticed, so I took two painkillers and went to bed.
My groin wasn't having any of that. After about five minutes of tossing and turning I started thinking something might be up, so I went back to the bathroom for the third time. Only this time, I can't get anything out. And all of a sudden, I notice that the pressure has started getting painful and was now spreading upward towards my right hip.
Okay, pressure that's increasing to pain-levels, in a completely unfamiliar area, and it's spreading. Fuck weathering it, I'm calling an ambulance.
As I talk to the nice lady at the emergency services, the pressure now increases to the point where my vision is getting a little dark around the edges and I feel like throwing up. This is clearly a no-bullshit situation. Somehow I manage to hold on until the ambulance crew comes by. They have me lay down and do a few pressure tests on my midsection, then ask if I can try to pee again. No go, so they go to prep the ambulance while I grab clothes, wallet, phone and keys.
I get into the ambulance, and I swear, within a minute of laying down on the stretchers my legs, lower arms and jaw starts shivering so hard it's like I am having a mild seizure. I predictable get pretty nervous, but the medic says that's just that I'm coming down from being clenched up so hard. If you say so Doc.
We speed off to the city, not running the siren or anything but still making pretty good time, and thankfully about halfway the painkillers finally starts kicking in and I can relax a little bit. We get to the hospital and they leave me with one of the nightshift nurses, nice lady, who proceeds to check my stomach area with what I guess is some kind of ultrasound, and she says it looks like my bladder is empty. Sure as hell don't feel like it, but I trust her.
She leads me to a room of my own and I switch to a hospital shirt and lay down (it's close to 2AM at this point), and after a while a doctor comes in and I give him the rundown, and he gets a nurse to get a blood sample and give me a shot of painkillers and muscle-relaxants and ask me to give him a urine sample as soon as I can. I was doubting I could but holy shit that painkiller kicked in fast, and after about 20 minutes of laying down I managed to squeeze out half a cup and hand it to one of the night nurses.
I go back to my bed and rest, and eventually the doc comes back and tells me that were traces of blood in the urine sample, so it sounds like I probably got a kidney stone, so he says I can go home, gives me two morphine tabs and tells me to use them if things start building up again, and tells me to drink lots of water.
At this point it's almost 5AM, so I call my mom who lives in the city and asks if I can crash at her place. She says sure and come gets me, and I'm pretty dazed at this point, so it's just shuffling along and letting her drive me home and lead me down to the couch. Dawn is starting up at this point, but I'm off to dreamland within seconds of my head hitting the pillow.
I wake up at around noon when mom came back home, and after treating me to some nice Burger King lunch, I decided to go to work, since I'm not feeling *that* bad. Well, turns out I forgot the morphine pills back home and I could only work about two and a half hours before I had to call it quits and run home to the drugs.
So now I'm sitting goofed out of my mind on morphine while drinking icewater like a camel and wondering what to do. Oi vey, the couch is looking mighty interesting, but I don't want to sleep the entire day away.

General | Posted 10 years agoFffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucking hell!!!
RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAFUCKINGAWESOMEWOOOHOOOO!!!
*Ahem*
This one is a keeper folks. George Miller has sunk to depths of insanity I didn't even know existed.
The world is insane!
The action is insane!
The chases are insane!
The protagonist is insane!
The antagonists are insane!
The religion is insane!
The vehicles are insane!
The tactics are insane!
The weapons... actually most of the weapons were surprisingly standard, and in good shape. Okay so there were some exceptions, like a guitar-flamethrower, a gas-powered hedge-trimmer, a frikkin flintlock musket and whatever the hell that gun is that Rictus uses.
This was almost a non-stop adrenaline ride from start to finish. And most of it is practical effects!! And *GREAT* ones too. There's barely any CG in here, but what there is is very good.
Gotta say though, the movie... well, the experience, didn't start out very well in the theatre. First the was a 15 minute delay due to technical difficulties.
Then the movie started, skipping the trailers.
The light inside stayed on though. Then the bloody curtains closed on the screen instead, making the whole thing a blur.
30 seconds later, they shut everything down since the system was going haywire.
Another 5 minutes wait, and the curtains part, the movie starts, and the lights finally shut off.
And there my disappointments for the evening ended.
I wholeheartedly cannot recommend this movie highly enough.
At first I was kinda disappointed that Tom Hardy (Mad Max) didn't have a British accent, since he had such a good one in Inception, but I get why he didn't here. But man, he barely ever spoke, but when he had a "gravelly voice" that Christian Bales' Batman voice out of the water.
I also loved Nux, Mr "What a lovely day!" from the trailers. I won't spoil his character here, other than to say I loved him. Truly.
Oh, and the main antagonist dies... pretty fucking horribly. But in a very satisfying manner.
If I could ask for a single *tiny* detail to be added, it would simply be a 2 second shot of one of the Warboys who dies spectacularly (most of them do XD) saying "Oh dear." very calmly just before he punches his ticket. That would just make me giggle.
So, yeah. Mad Max: Fury Road. Go see it. You won't be disappointed.
You might be wind up in an adrenaline shock, but you won't be disappointed.

General | Posted 10 years agoSpreading the word about a neat little free game
General | Posted 10 years agoI recently heard about a pretty neat game from JackSepticEye on YT called Deadbolt, and after seeing him play some of it, I wanted to try myself. And it's a pretty fun game. Granted, it's very heavy on memorizing and perfecting patterns, but you kinda get into it after a while.
Here's a link to where you can download the actual game. http://hopoo.itch.io/deadbolt
Note that it's still in early Alpha, so no more than 5 levels are playable in the version I tried, but maybe it'll be completed soon.
And if you're curious, here's JackSepticEye's playthrough of it.

Two birthdays... and a new comic?
General | Posted 10 years agoHello everyone.
Well, March 21st has swung by again, slapping a post-it sticker on my forehead saying "35" as it passed. I don't have any complaints though. It's been a relaxing day, despite the cold and wet weather, with a very nice Chinese buffet dinner with relatives which left us all feeling wonderfully stuffed.
And while we're on the subject of birthdays, while it's not the exact date it's still the right month, Here there be Dragons celebrates it's 6th year running. Good grief, has it been that long? I remember sitting down in the steaming engine room of a train ferry scribbling together the bare-bones script in what feels like an age ago. It's been a hilarious ride so far. And we've still got a long way to go.
And I really must take a moment to thank all the wonderful fans who have contributed and donated to the comic over the years. You've help this comic come out at a regular pace (and even faster sometimes) when troubles in real life have prevented me from doing so.
Truly, thank you.
Keeping the topic on comics, I thought I'd share a little secret with you. I have a 2nd comic in the works. It's not HtbD-related, but rather completely stand-alone. It's not finished yet, but at least halfway there. You can see some preliminary sketches in the Scraps gallery.
Thing is, I'm not quite sure what to do with it now. I aim to finish it and I will release it to the public (probably here or on one of my other galleries out there on the web), completely free of charge.
Maybe it's the success of the Patreon talking, but I was kind of thinking of setting up some way for the (eventual and possible) fans of the comic to throw a buck or two in the tin if they liked the comic and felt like it. Problem is, one of the two characters in it is from a cartoon show, meaning it's copyrighted to someone other than me. That sounds like I could potentially get into legal trouble for making a profit, however meager, from somebody else's intellectual property. That's something I definitely would like to avoid.
I suppose I could change a few of her features, but it's so far along that it would just be window dressing at this point, and her race, which is probably also copyrighted, would still be the same. What to do, what to do?
Of course, I don't need to make a profit from it. Hell, I made it for fun out of spare cash. Well, commissioned a very nice artist to illustrate it for me I mean.
Yes, it's the same as HtbD in that it contains humor, sex, and really is way too long for what is considered a "standard" porn comic, if indeed there is such a thing.
Any input on this? I'm all ears.
P.S. I know there hasn't been any new HtbD pages yet. I'm waiting on Karno to get enough free time to make them, but right now the ball is in his court. As soon as they're done they'll be up, but no sooner than that I'm afraid.

General | Posted 11 years agoAn update on HtbD and Patreon
General | Posted 11 years agoHello all you lovely people.
First off, I want to apologize that there has not been any new pages this month. 2015 has no started out well for me.
A bunch of hubbubs around New Years and Christmas ended up causing me to not be able to pay a lot of my bills, causing a lot of delays. The boss of the stable where I currently work was kind enough to let me work extra on the weekends for some spare cash , and it has really helped stabilize my economy.
Though with me working a *minimum* of 8 hours a day, 6 days a week, at a stable no less, I have been so exhausted constantly that my muse pretty much went catatonic. Not to mention I got rammed aside by a horse two weeks ago which really hurt and has only just now stopped hurting. I haven't felt a drop of inspiration to write scripts for the comic. No scripts = nothing for Karno to work with.
But, with spring *finally* starting to come around, my muse has been stirring again, and I have sent off a few page scripts to Karno to work on. The new pages should show up around early March.
And on that note, it seems the fans over on Patreon hit a milestone goal just a few days ago. Holy crap, $153 pledged per page. The generosity of the fans of this comic never ceases to amaze me.
I have in fact talked to Karno about it, and he says that if I can keep up with the scripts, he can work on 2 comic pages per month. Awesome.
So, since Karno can keep up, and the funding is there, I guess I'm out of excuses for slacking off with the script.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to wake up the muse and get her to outline Olga part in this chapter. Oh yeah, the Big Lady is getting her rocks off this year. Good and properly too. ;D
Best regards

General | Posted 11 years agoAnybody wanna play with Ooza? (YCH idea inquiry)
General | Posted 11 years agoI kinda want to test the waters for an idea I just had.
A lot of you have probably seen my latest OC, the lovely (and very buff) Oozanka Takir, a female Tetramand from the Ben10 universe.
In case you haven't seen her yet, simply go here. http://www.furaffinity.net/full/15688035/
Now, the idea I had was for a kind of YCH-pic, with Ooza chilling on a bed or couch while three lucky studs (or ladies) do their level best to please her.
This would be done by
modemredpill if it ever gets off the ground, but first I have to check if there is even any interest.
The basic setup with be Ooza lying on a bed, with one slot on each breast and one slot between her legs. Price sort of depends on what kind of style I decide to go for, but it will be $25 to $40 (with an extra $10 if your character is extra "busy").
Does that sound interesting? Any potential takers?

RIP Monty Oum
General | Posted 11 years agoIt is with a sad heart that I tell you that the wonderful Monty Oum has passed away. I only just heard about it, and I'm still a little shocked.
I (and likely a lot of others) first came across Monty with the animated short Haloid, which blew me away. This was a movie that brought home that CG action scenes can actually move faster than the human eye can follow, which was something I'd never seen before.
A couple more, but equally impressive, shorts later, I find out that Monty was going to start working with Rooster Teeth, the creators of Red versus Blue, my favorite Halo machinima creators. It was a match made in Heaven, and the results were some of the most amazing seasons that show has ever produced.
I have to admit, I kinda drifted away from RvB around season 10 or so, but I always meant to return to it. Now, I'm not sure where the series will go.
Rest in peace Monty. You made this fan's life a little bit brighter. You will be missed.
Monty Oum 1981 - 2015
And I feel it would be most appropriate to show the movie that got me started on Monty; Haloid.
If you ever wondered what it would look like if Master Chief had the powers of Neo from The Matrix, look no further.

If you ever wondered what it would look like if Master Chief had the powers of Neo from The Matrix, look no further.

General | Posted 11 years agoWell, that's it then. The bell has been struck. The hand on the face of the clock has moved on.
2014 is over; let 2015 begin.
Expect a more comprehensive journal tomorrow, once I've sobered up.
For now, LET'S PARTY!! WOOOOO!!!!

General | Posted 11 years agoRIP James Hardiman
General | Posted 11 years agoI only just learned that James Hardiman (
skunkworks ), the legendary creator of Skunkworks, has passed away. I knew that he had been fighting a harsh battle with diabetes for years, and I guess it finally won. The furry fandom has lost one of its stars.
I can still remember the first time I saw Jim's artwork. It was in the late 90's, in my at-the-time favorite comic shops. A clerk I knew pretty well had a whole stack of comics on the counter and was complaining to a friend that the guy who'd ordered them was taking forever to pick them up. Curious, I asked if I could take a look, and he was irritated enough to let me. Lo and behold, the first comic I found myself holding was a copy of Genus, and when I flipped it open it showed an adult story featuring three by-now-fairly-famous lady skunks. Up until then I didn't know that the adult part of the furry spectrum existed in real-life print. It was an eye-opener.
I continued to be a fan of Jim's work afterwards, first tracking down the copies of Genus that had his work in it, then the collected paperbacks. I even managed to snag a few of the portfolios. Heck, I was a member of his fan club in Yahoo! Groups back in the day. Aaah, good times.
I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. I know he will be deeply missed by his friends and family, and I'm sad that I never go the chance to meet him in person.
Rest in Peace. James Hardiman, May 8th, 1972 - August 29th, 2014

R.I.P. Robin Williams, 1951 - 2014
General | Posted 11 years ago*sigh* Another one of the Greats have left us. I literally grew up with Robin Williams. Without fail, every year as far back as I can remember he was putting out new stuff, virtually all of it funny, and all of it great.
And now, there's another silent spot in my life. A great big void where once there was a voice who inspired laughter almost beyond breath.
Here's to Robin, one of the greatest comedians of his generation, if not indeed ever. The man left behind an impressive legacy of joy.

General | Posted 11 years agoFurry could use just a little more help.
General | Posted 11 years agoLast week I posted a journal spreading the word that
love-hate was in a bit of a bind and could use some help. That journal was a big help, and he was able to get the help he needed within an hour of me posting it.
Thing is, when he went to the doctor, he got a prescription for even more medicine, and this new batch was even more expensive than the last one. Seriously, is this how healthcare works in the States? You go in with money in hand to get the stuff you've been told will help you get better, and the doc just goes "Oh no, I misspoke, you need this too, and that will cost extra."? Sounds like a pretty dickhead move to me.
Anyhow, I normally don't do this kind of favor twice, but he told me he was afraid they'd have to take skin off if the meds don't work, so I will make an exception this time.
Now, with this being in the middle of the month, I'm not sure how much spare coin my respective fans have left, but, if you can afford it, every little bit helps.
Here's a link to his journal.
