Going to TFF this year, rooming by my lonesome. It'll be great to just go in and out anytime, even crazy early and crazy late! I also commissioned a fursuit of Rasmus, my new fursona! 3/4 suit so I can wear my own shirts. I have a ref for him in my faves if you wanna check him out!

Also, I've been thinking about getting a tartan kilt for him once he's done. Yea or nay?

Looks like FA won't allow me (and probably everyone else) to view my writing submission, no matter what format I use. Lovely.

It is my 25th birthday today! No cake in sight yet, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

2 weeks from tomorrow is my birthday, and I'll be 25! CAKE.

Let's get the bad news out of the way first, because there's a lot more good news than bad.

So when I left Wild Nights, I had acquired a cough and stuffy nose. It progressively got worse for a week and a half and I just kicked it yesterday. Apparently it had turned into bronchitis... ugh.

SO ON TO THE GOOD STUFF!

Wild Nights was great! I cabin'd with  true_blue_fox,  prominencefang,  springdragon,  wolfdreamer,  cereal_ray, and  pureparadox.

I got to try out some sweet drink recipes I had literally just made up off the top of my head (thanks again Prominence!) and they were delicious. Wolfdreamer bought me a commish from Blue (love to both of you), and I had a rousing debate with two intelligent folks about pollen allergies. Seriously, I've never been involved in a more mature exchange of viewpoints, and it was all over whether or not pollen allergies were an STD. Great stuff. And it only stormed once! The sun actually showed up at the campsite! I was agog at the sight.

Oh yeah, A-Kon is still happening too.

Now I have a character piece to get back to. At 5AM. Having awakened at 3:45. Yeh. So I'ma go do that.

Wild Nights was pretty great! Ate a lot, drank a lot, talked a lot, met a lot of awesome people. Came home sick as all hell, but it was worth every cough, hack, and sniffle.

Also will be going to A-Kon this June, dressed as our lovely Poe Salesman. It will be great fun!

Got all moved out from my hometown and am now living in an apartment with  kiracuils (GO COMMISSION HER) and our poly boyfriend. This happened roughly a month ago and I am an actual piece of shit, so I didn't update this. Oh well. Now all eleven of you know.

I'm also debating dipping my hoof in the waters of furry writing. I enjoy writing, but as of late I have had no ideas come to me that were interesting/lasted long enough to form into a legit story of any kind. It really doesn't help that nobody with whom I am in regular contact is interested in letting me bounce ideas off of them. And I love worldbuilding, so when I get ideas I tend to get carried away and start rambling on and on about things that probably won't ever be relevant to the actual story.

Basically, I need someone to pitch ideas to, preferably someone who will ask questions. I tend to zero in on certain aspects of planning, and forget completely about other (often important) things. So it'd be really cool if someone would help me out. I really want to write, but I have too many undeveloped idea-lings and not a single one of them is surviving to anything resembling maturity. It is becoming quite frustrating. Here's hoping I can figure something out, and maybe get some help.

So my friend  kiracuils is now living with me to get out of a shitty situation. We plan to move out of the house and into an apartment with our poly boyfriend sometime next year, but we're pretty starved for money, so it would be GREAT if you could commission one or both of us to draw or write you something. I'm better at writing than I am at drawing, so I prefer commissions for that, but I'll do drawings too. I'll be posting some examples shortly, along with prices, so stay tuned for that!

Anyway, I was up until butthair o'clock in the morning, so I may not be fully coherent on three hours of sleep. So forgive if I do not make sense, please.

So my primary source of transportation is working at the Texas State Fair, and the only other possible option treats my existence like some kind of major inconvenience. PANIC ATTACKS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE ARE SO MUCH FUN. Also, I find that I am unhireable by pretty much every place I apply at, and not even for my hair. It's because of my "lack of experience". Tell me, how the fuck am I supposed to acquire said experience if nobody will hire me? Guess it's one of life's great mysteries.

Also, I attempted with a friend to walk to Gamestop from my house. Approximately 2.4 miles, as the crow flies (and we don't fly). In the bright-ass Texas sun. Sunburns galore~! But hey, we got our game so we're good.

I also might be able to get a fursuit soon! The fair pays very well, and we will be loaded afterwards. Anime North Texas may also be a thing, so look for my probably-purple-haired ass up there! Yessssss, more crazy colorsssssss...

And I haven't played my ocarina in like, a month. I need to fix that. So fare thee well!

So I got a small tumor removed from my arm - it was a dermatofibroma, according to the doctor. He said they were usually benign, but I have family history of malignant skin cancers, one of which was first thought benign but turned out to be cancerous.

I know it's unlikely to be anything major, but I'm still getting unduly frightened. The exact same process went down with my mother, with a "rarely cancerous" skin tumor that turned out to be just that. My aunt also had melanoma, as did my grandmother and great-grandmother.

My hands are shaking as I write this. I don't know what to do, or how to react.

So my birthday is a thing that just happened on the 29th of May! I am now 24 WOOHOO! Here's hoping I can get my shit together somewhat better than I did at 23.

Also I visited a good friend of mine and made a few more down in Houston a couple weeks ago. Note to self: never wear a steel-boned corset on a 4-hour bus ride in which the seats do not lean back. It is a world of hurt upon getting off said bus.

Furthermore, A-Kon is happening this weekend! I am excited! I will be cosplaying the RED Engineer most of Friday, and an original robot character for the rest of it. The other two days I will be Hearts Boxcars and likely hanging with the rest of my Midnight Crew. Come say hello, we don't bite! Well, the others don't. Heartsy is a known cannibal!

That probably didn't help my case much... Anyway. I give hugs freely, but if you see me in my gray-and-purple robot stuff, please refrain from such. It is full face, chest, and possibly upper arm makeup, and even with a sealer I don't quite trust it. So if you decide to hug me, you do so at your own clothing's risk. And if you smear it I will not be a happy camper.

Now that that's out of the way, if you want to hang out, please feel free! I don't really have much planned aside from a TF2 shoot and one panel of which I am a part on Sunday.

Anyway, Wild Nights is a thing that is going to be happening! I'm excited!

I've done a lot of soul-searching lately, and I think I've found my niche in the world. I am a goth. I wear gothic clothes, I listen to gothic music, and generally like gothic things. Sadly, I am having trouble reaching out to other goths in the DFW area, and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one into this stuff in my entire city of Hicksville, TexAss. I really, really want to move somewhere else.

But anyway, expect a drastic change in my look, and a more confident demeanor around people. I've also given my 'sona another overhaul, this time one that hopefully will stick. I will attempt to draw her at some point, unsure when.
