As we are starting to slide towards autumn, I have started planning for the next set of adoptables. As always, these will be available for early access to tier Patrons before public launch. I will also be doing Custom Adopts for Patrons for this set, as well.
Since the last set featured an array of neon demons inspired by stars, I thought that perhaps for this next set, I should feature some angels inspired by fungi and rot as a fun little contrast. “Heaven’s Decay,” perhaps? Still considering what to call it.
Feel free to shout out ideas for some fungi that might be interesting to use!

Posted 6 months agoWith the Crystal Canids set and customs complete, it's time to start planning for the next run of adoptables!
For this next set, I will be creating some colourful demons/tieflings - bipedal humanoids with various demonic traits - using stars as a secondary theme for a vaguely cyperpunk neon combination. I will plan for a standard main set of 12 adoptables, and I will be planning to open up additional custom orders for patrons.
I haven't quite decided on a name for this set yet, but I am open to suggestions.

Upcoming Adoptables
Posted 8 months agoI'm starting to plan for a new set of adoptables, which I hope to get started on fairly soon. I'm not yet sure exactly how many entries I want to make, but I'll probably include the option for Patrons to order custom creations for this particular set, following the main sale.
The planned theme: "Crystal Canids."
Base creations will be bipedal and possess a humanoid facial structure, but other physical elements will be inspired by wolves and foxes - and kitsune. However, instead of drawing from specific species, I will instead be drawing from various types of precious stones as a primary reference point. As always, creations will be presented as blank-slate - buyers may request specific gender traits upon purchase, if so desired.

Patrons will have early access to the sale, with unsold adopts becoming publicly available after the first 24 hours. Coming Up: MerMay Adoption Sale, Commissions
Posted a year agoAfter a little break to just relax and do a bit of personal work for a week, I'm gearing up to hop right back into things this weekend!
First up, while I wasn't able to complete all 30 MerMay entries as planned, there are still three adoptables that resulted. These will be going up for sale on Patreon later today - Saturday - at 7pmEST. I know that's not a lot, but I admittedly needed the breather.
Secondly, tomorrow - Sunday, at 7pm EST - I will plan on opening up some more commission slots. These will be immediately publicly available as well. I'll plan for five Active slots, and then some additional Wait-List slots this time around. I'll be making separate posts as appropriate for these Sale Events at the aforementioned times.

In summary: I’ll be taking on some merfolk-themed sketch commissions on my Patreon, with the intention of doing one-a-day as per the MerMay Challenge. Merfolk OCs, OCs-as-merfolk, Custom Designs, etc. Any slots that are not filled by commissions will instead be used to create themed adoptables, which will be subsequently sold at the end of the event.
This is an experiment, so we’ll see how it goes!

As I’m finishing up this batch of YCHs, I’m planning on opening up a few standard commission slots this Saturday (4pmPST/7pmEST). These will be available to everyone, Patron and public alike. I’ll be starting with a handful of slots - likely five - and the standard catalogue prices will apply. I don’t want to take on too many at once, partly to pace myself, and partly because I would like to do something for MerMay this year and that means setting aside the time for it.
Additionally, I will be making YCH compositions available as commission options, in case anyone would like to use a commission slot to purchase one of those instead. YCH pricing will apply in those cases.
Depending on how these go, I might be able to squeeze in a few extra before the end of the month. We will see!

Following this first little run of commissions to get back into the swing of things, I am going to be opening up some YCH slots! Since I can’t run large discounted Interactive Events like previous years, at the moment, I’m hoping to make up for it a little in the form of a large “variety pack” of YCH options, which I will be opening to both Patrons and the public this weekend.
Some options are single-character, some are pairs. As with the previous YCH I did, people will have the option to select what tier/quality level they would like for their picture. For the paired options in particular, in order to ensure that people aren’t left hanging with half a YCH in the event no one selects the accompanying figure, both figures must be accounted for before the purchase is finalized - however, people are of course free to buddy up with a friend!
Since I do want to try to avoid getting too overwhelmed, I may only open up a handful of slots to begin with. Then, as they are completed, I can take on a few more, and so forth. The idea is to handle them in small groups as opposed to large waves.
I’ll be putting a proper pricing guide together with the main post. I’m currently aiming for a release date of Saturday, February 17, at 4pmPST/7pmEST. I’ll of course let folks know if this happens to change!

I have FINALLY cleared out the massive backlog of work that I had allowed to pile up last year, which means I can allow myself to start taking on commission work again.
Since I am trying to carefully pull myself out of a severe burnout phase, I’m going to take things a little slow at first. I will be limiting the number of open commission slots to a small handful on my Patreon to begin with, and see how that goes. And if it goes well, I’ll see about opening more public slots.
I do of course want to get some more adoptables out this year, too, as well as some more YCHs, because those were rather fun. I likely won’t be doing an Interactive Event, though I will be open to doing commissions in a similar style.

Update - On the Topic of Commissions, Adoptables, etc.

I am very nearly done with the massive backlog of work that I allowed to pile up. It was a lot more than I anticipated, made worse by some unexpected developments and curveballs that occurred over the course of the past several months. I did not intend for things to play out the way they did, but I did what I could.
As it stands currently, however, I am admittedly struggling with the combination of burnout and stress, and I feel both mentally and physically exhausted. I will of course finish what I have left to do. But I do need some time to reset myself for another round of commissions.
That being said, I can’t afford to be without some form of income. With the original support on Patreon (which allowed for Heat Wave) being significantly reduced partway through, the cost to myself for running such an Event of free and low-priced work has been substantial. Simply put, I cannot afford to do that again any time soon, and I cannot afford to take a proper break. I am in the red.
And generally speaking, most folks out there are more likely to pay for commissions and adoptables than they are for seeing more of my personal work.
So, what to do?
Well…
I’m honestly not sure.
I don’t think I have it in me to put together a set of egg adoptables this month. I can’t afford to do anything for free, so I will not be doing any trades or raffles or giveaways on any of my sites. And I don’t want to take on a new wave of commissions when I still have work to finish and I’m just feeling so burnt out. Admittedly all I want to do right now is some personal work, but unless it’s supported, it doesn’t pay the bills.
If I have it in me, what I may end up doing are some “shotgun sets” of adoptables. Basically, small sets. I could either sell them straight-up or put them to auction, but I would not be able to include add-ons or Customs at this time. I did promise a set of Taurs before the end of the year, which I might be able to do - just as a set of 12 entries. This is still somewhat up in the air, but it’s at least a thought.
Let me know what you guys think, if there is anything I could or should do, as right now I’m in a bit of a difficult position.
Basically, what would people like to see?

I will be opening a total of 20 commission slots for this event. These commissions will be handled in the same style as other interactive OC Event pictures, and have a base price of $65. For $85, folks may upgrade to include one additional character (buyer's choice).
Those who get a free slot may still choose to make an additional purchase of an Event Commission slot.

Up Next - Interactive Event “Heat Wave”

It’s almost time for the next event!
“Heat Wave” will follow the same rules and premise as “Frostfall” - people may choose to have any of their OCs interact with any of mine in any way they see fit (just still mostly SFW). There will be 10 free slots starting out - if/when these get filled up, I will then open up 20 commissioned slots. These commissions will be priced lower than my standard, and will be available at $65 for a two-character interaction, or $85 for three characters. These slots will remain open for the duration of the event, or until they are all filled.
This event will launch for Patrons on Saturday, April 29 at 4pmPST/7pmEST.
Public access will begin on Sunday, April 30 at 4pmPST/7pmEST.
This event will be a long one, with image installments spread out over several months. While I will not be creating adoptable sets during this time, I still intend to work on standard commissions. I will make a separate announcement once the commission wait-list officially opens up as well.

Hey everyone!
I am finally through the large number of Custom Adoptable orders I received for the “Pan’s Panoply” event, which means I can start properly planning for what’s next!
Currently, I still have some commissions I need to get through, so those will remain closed for the time being. I’ll make a proper announcement once those open up again. I will be primarily working on those for the remainder of April, in the hopes of putting enough of a dent in the queue that I feel comfortable taking on a few more within a month or so. Stay tuned!
More immediately, I am planning for the next event, which will be a large-scale OCxOC Interactive Event in the spirit of last year’s “Frostfall.” I will plan to open sign-ups at the end of the month (tentatively Saturday, April 29th), with the limited 10 Free Slots being made available on Patreon. I will also include the option of 3-character interactions, as I did previously. Since this event will span the end of Spring, through the Summer, and perhaps into early Autumn, I may refer to it as “Heat Wave” - I am of course open to suggestions for other ideas, though!
Following this event, I have another set of adoptables lined up as well - Taurs! I will have to see how things go with the Interactive, as far as scheduling this series goes, but the theme is set and ready to go. I will be making an announcement as we get closer to its launch. I will additionally plan for Custom Adoptable options for Patrons who are interested. After this, I would like to revisit Merfolk adopts - going back to the “classic,” the theme of the very first large-scale adoptable set I created. It may not be quite as big as the MerMay set, but we’ll have to wait and see!
I may forgo the usual Autumn tradition of Egg Adopts this year, depending on what the workload looks like. However, I may still try to at least put something together in the spirit of the spooky season for everyone. I would be open to suggestions - let me know what you guys would be interested in! Some spooky full-adopt auctions? Some YCHs? A small bonus set of themed adopts? Something else? I’ll have to see what I can do when that time comes around, but I want to at least do something, if I’m able…
So there are a lot of plans for the rest of the year - let’s see if all goes in accordance with them!

As I am almost through the last remnants of the Egg Adopts I have left to complete, I would like to start lining up a new set of simple character/creature adoptables, a-la my previous series (nagas, sphinxes, etc.).
The theme for this upcoming set: Satyrs/Fauns!
Basically, bipedal human+animal hybrid forms - humanoid upper body, animal-like lower body. These will not be limited to ungulate forms!
I don’t have a solid launch date for this set, but if things go well within the next week or two, I’ll see about starting something up. It will likely be a small set - about twelve main entries - with Early Access and planned Customs available to Patrons.
I’m open to any suggestions regarding animals to potentially use for some of these designs, as well as ideas for what to call this particular series.

Quick Announcement - Auction & Raffle

Apologies for this being a little last-minute, but I wanted to announce that tomorrow at 4pmPST/7pmEST, I will be launching a new adoptable - full figure, fully painted. This will be handled as an auction across my main platforms - DA, FA, the new Twitter page, and of course Patreon. In this instance, the adoptable will be launched at the same time across all platforms. However, Patron tier discounts do still apply, should the winner be a Patron.
There will also be an option to purchase an additional bust portrait for the adoptable as part of a higher price (which will be indicated as part of the main auction).
In other news, yes, I have started up a Twitter page. I mainly just intend to use it as another place to post pretty pictures. Even though the platform seems to be in a severe state of flux, I am still seeing if I can perhaps reach a wider audience. As part of this attempt, I am running an art raffle on my page there. Hello everyone,
With the conclusion of the main "Garden of Decay" event, and with Frostfall now very nearly done, I will finally be opening up my wait-list for commissions again!
Of special note: I am updating my commission catalogue! This will include some changes to the various options available, as well as a number of price increases - because economic inflation is a thing, and I like being able to afford food and internet. Existing Patrons will be allowed a single current-price commission, should a commission request be submitted before December 14th. All other commissions will follow the new price guide. These may be subject to further change as I gauge the amount of time/work/income for the different options, and as dictated by necessity over time. Some have said I should be charging more, but I didn't want to jump up the prices too much at once. So I hope this is an appropriate starting point.

I am also going to be doing some trades, albeit in a limited capacity. I won’t be able to do very many of these at a given time, but I would like to be able to reach out and help build new audience networks not only for myself but for other people as well. Trades will operate on an equivalent exchange basis - the amount of time/effort put into each half being comparable, to try to keep things fair for both parties. This can extend to written works as well. And while I am a primarily SFW artist, should the other party wish to do something NSFW for their half of the trade, as part of advertising the type of work they do (such as commissions), this is perfectly fine with me - provided I am asked regarding the details beforehand, naturally. I will be listing Trades on my Trello for people to keep track of, and I will only be able to have a maximum of five active trades at any given point.

With the main “Garden of Decay” set now complete, I am planning to put them all up for sale as part of an Adoption fair this Saturday. This should hopefully allow people a bit of time to recover from any holiday or Black Friday exhaustion that might be sustained. ^_^
The times/dates for the sale are as follows:

I am also going to be opening my wait-list for new commissions very soon - I just wanted to make sure that I had at least one of the major ongoing projects cleared out first. I have a new set of Egg Adoptables ready to go off to new homes. Since Halloween falls on a Monday this year, I thought I would put the sale up a tad early so that it falls on the weekend, to make things a little easier for folks. As per usual, Patrons have early access to the sale, with any unsold adopts becoming available to the public after 24 hours.
Launch dates and times are as follows:
Patron early access - Saturday, Oct.29 at 4pmPST/7pmEST
Public access - Sunday, Oct.30 at 4pmPST/7pmEST
