Heyo…..

Yes I still exist oops. I’m sorry I have hardly been active for like…a year? I also said I was moving accounts, and still plan on that…but it kinda sucks to loose all the followers + loose all the folks I follow. So I am still mostly here. A lot has changed in my life outside fandom. I’ve gotten engaged, moved states, and adopted a plethora of exotic pets. But I miss fandom and I miss my fandom friends and I miss making art! Sooo here are my thoughts:

1. Use my Rainhart account for art I make or purchase of that character
2. Use my EntropyRaptor account for art I make and purchase of that character + species/universe info (I’m gonna open Cantioraptors I swear lmao)
3. Use this account as a hub of sorts for all of the others, and as my main one for communication ect. Maybe some art here, but it would be art unrelated to the before mentioned characters.
4. Possibly open a NSFW account for art + etc. there. I want to keep Entropy and Rainhart (and any shenanigans relating to them) SFW and available for anyone. And I have some fears about potentially “dirtying” my online image if I incorporate NSFW into it. But also. Another side to me is a very sexual person and I want to celebrate and explore that somewhere. Considering making this NSFW account but not associating it with my others at all and keeping it a secret that it is run by me. But also idk if I should bother with secrecy.

So, ummm, yeah ya'll. I am not dead, just super consumed with schoolwork and other parts of life this semester. So so sorry for the inactivity. Here are some things I wanted to address!

1. I feel really badly that I haven't been able to share more on my original species Cantioraptors nor make them public yet. I am sorry I am taking 5ever, I still fully intend on it as soon as I am able :/

2. I am in a painting class this semester and thus all of my art making time has been taken up by this class (I am cool with it, it is oil painting which is something I love). However, I haven't been sharing those pieces here because I wasn't sure if there would be any interest? They are all animal-based (surprise surprise lol) so I feel like they would still be on subject for this site, but would be different from my other work on here. So please let me know how you feel!

3. I adopted a cat! His name is Aristotle (Ari) and he is 3 yo, all black with yellow eyes, and a bundle of snuggles and chaos. I love my new son to bits. Please let me know if people are interested in seeing a photo or two, I am willing to share ^~^

4. Finally! So you also might have noticed I haven't been posting work I have commissioned as of late....this is because I haven't been able to afford commissions as of late, not because I am holding out on sharing! I want more art (aaaaa I always want more art) but I am also trying to be financially responsible especially now that I have said new kitty son. But hopefully, I will be able to commission and share again soon!

Soooo I might have just cast my first resin blank last night! After a year of planning, sculpting, making the mold, breaking the mold, planning, sculpting, and making the mold all over again I am happy to announce that a successful resin blank has been produced! It is far from perfect and has a few areas I need to clean up but the resin is a nice thickness and I like how it looks :) I am not going to post pictures just yet, but I will share the uncut and cut and hinged version of it soon. Even though I know it is amateur work compared to so many artists in this fandom, I am proud of it and the work I put into it. I bought some more fabrics for when I finally cover the mask and I am just so excited! First thing first though I need to make a jawset and eyelids, then purchase a tongue (I want one of those forked silicone tongues). Then there is figuring out the horns....so yeah.

Just wanted to thank you all for watching me! I have reached 70 watchers on here which is a new record for me and I feel super touched considering my terribly inconsistent posting and art creation *sweats*

There is lots more to come for cantioraptor species, I am planning on making a simple little website on the matter so let me know what you would be interested in knowing about the species. I want to give as much detail as possible, get the site up, and finally make the species an open one! (closed species are so lonely lol.)

Also, idk if any of you are, like, eagerly waiting to make your own cantioraptor or not but if you are I would be willing to allow you to so long as you run it past me/work with me on the creation! Hit me up in messages if you are, Entropy would love some packmates! <3

Lastly, resin blank making round two is going well! Got a nice silicone mold and am just waiting for a few more materials before I do my first cast, wish me luck!

Yeah....
That was a thing....and is actually still a thing, believe it or not. I just hit a lot of speed bumps, including accidentally destroying my sculpt for the resin base. It took me a while to recover from that tragedy (RIP in literal pieces original sculpt) but I have finally got my act together again and am re-sculpting the piece. I will try to post a picture tomorrow if I can, but I am a lot happier with the piece I am making now than I was with my old one. Silver linings and all that I guess. I have also rebought the silicon I will need for the mold, have the resin on order, and have even bought some of the minky I am planning to use on Entropy's face (getting ahead of myself but it was on sale at Joanne's and well...)

Okay so as some of you guys know my main sona is an original species of mine that I've been working on. I know I've been saying I would explain everything about it soon but I said that like 4 months ago and here we are, nothing yet explained xD. I just wanted to promise you guys that I am working on a document that explains everything anyone might need to know about the species, and I am pretty sure I am gonna make a more condensed version with images to explain better as well. But I am also trying to do a little world building and it's just taking 5 ever. But once this is all finished I am gonna open the species for other people to make characters and the potential to see more characters of my species motivates me to finish this xD

Topic number two is the progress with Entropy's fursuit head. I made a journal a few weeks ago (was it a month ago?? it might have been I am not sure) about how I bought a shit ton of mold making supplies. Well. I may have made a tiny bit of a mistake while making said mold. Basically, what went down was I bought silicon to make the mold and stuff called Plastipaste to make a hard shell for the mold so it can hold its shape and not flop around when I am slush casting. The first step went fine and I coated my master sculpt in the silicon, it hardened, I did more layers, and things were cool (would have been better with one more layer of silicon but I ran out and it will do for now.) But, I was doing this at 3 AM and I was getting a little hazy. Eager to finish this step in the process I mixed up my Plastipaste and coated it right on to that silicon and went to bed. All seemed well. I woke up the next morning all excited, picked up my craft and...the Plastipaste shell wouldn't come off. And, because I was tired and an idiot I hadn't peeled off the silicon mold to detach it from the clay master sculpt before adding the Plastipaste. So in short, the Plastipaste wasn't coming off and neither was the silicon.
Then, I had the seemingly brilliant idea to take my hammer and gently crack and break off the Plastipaste layer, thus saving the silicon mold and master sculpt and simply redo the shell. Well. The Plastipaste was breaking off easy and shit seemed fine and then....the master sculpt cracked. And then it cracked again. And by crack, I mean it fell apart. I managed to get the silicon mold free and safe but I am now without a hard case to cast in AND without a master to put the mold on to hold its shape while I make a new hard case.
So as you can see I am...a little stuck. I was so upset over breaking the master sculpt that I dropped working on the project for weeks. My plan, for now, is to fill the silicon mold with something like tin foil (something to keep shape) and then remake the hard case. But I am desperate for suggestions, I am a noob (clearly) and I am terribly sad that I messed up this thing. I've been working for nearly half a year on it guys. And I broke it. ugh.
So there. There's that. Good for you if you actually read this whole darn thing.

Heyo! I am gonna be posting a new adopts soon and I wanted to give a heads up! The species of the adopt is a secret as of right now, but it is an endangered species! The adopt will be for sale through auction and here's how it is going to work: SB will be $10. I will be keeping this $10 as payment, but any money in a bid placed higher than that will all be donated to this species's conservation fund. Because of this, I will not be placing an AB, because I am hoping that as much money as possible can be donated! :D
Example 1: Someone bids $20, that means $10 will go to the species's conservation fund!
Example 2: Someone bids (wouldn't this be incredible??) $50, that means $40 will go to the conservation fund!
And so on! No matter what the final price is, I will only be keeping the initial $10. I will post a picture of me donating the rest of the money as proof that I didn't keep it for myself of course~
So yes! Keep your eyes open....

Yes, you read that right. Thankfully I had enough in Amazon and other gift cards to cover the entire cost (like three years of saving Christmas gift cards right there wowzers xD). I am honestly a little shaky after spending that kind of money but I am far from finished, I still need resin! And that is all just for the head base...But I am excited over all. I can't wait to have my dino head in resin because it is one step closer to it being ready to fur! The process of making a fursuit is such a long one...But I am ultimately enjoying it!

P.S. If all goes well in casting then I will be selling raptor/dragon resin head bases in the foreseeable future! :D

I am making a few trial adopts that will be for sale soon! They will be fun and a bit wacky but I hope you all like them :) I haven't decided how much they will be worth but the price will definitely be under $10 so keep an eye out! :D
