It has been a rough year for me and I haven't had a lot of energy. If not for Tor I don't know what might have happened. For most of my life I have battled dangerous depression. On Oct 28 last year I lost my mom and it was difficult to adjust to life without her. She has been my rock, my best friend and the one constant in a life that has been filled with extreme lows and very little highs. She was my strength and I was her spoiled baby girl. I feel so guilty as I hadn't spent much time with her in the end. I even took off to Arizona for AZCon while she was recovering from a double bypass because in my mind she would never die and leave me behind to live without her. I didn't even get to say goodbye to her before she passed because I was working a job that didn't allow cellphones (due to potential HIPAA violation) and did not tell me until two hours later that the hospital was calling the family in. I felt like a villain for letting everyone down. I'm feeling better now. It has been almost a year and I'm almost back to my fluffy fun self but I still cry when I think about her and there will always be that shadow on my heart that nothing will change.

So on a lighter note I do still draw and I hope to have something worth posting soon.

I seriously want a partial of Sarsaparilla (my ratsona) and a fullsuit of a roadrunner (not the cartoon character but the actual bird).

So I finally got my Phineas suit and I am ecstatic! The suit is awesome. My mail carrier needs a kick to the ass though. The folks at Sparkle Kreations did a great job of packing it and nothing was damaged in transit. Unfortunately the box arrived on the one day out of the last 49 where it has rained in our area and the mail carrier left the box sitting just inside the gate in the grass and out in the open. They had no problem leaving other packages on the porch in the past but I guess they were feeling lazy today.... So when I got home from work I found the box soaked and falling apart. Somehow the suit made it through with only a few damp spots. Completely dirt/spot-free. I briefly put the bodysuit on to try it AND IT FITS GREAT. It is comfortable and just loose enough that I have room to move easily without it being so baggy it bunches up. It also have enough fluff in the chest area that with a snug sports bra it hides the bewbs. The head and tail are my favorite parts but the wings are great too. Will have to take pics when the parts all dry completely.

And it was fun. I do like that we could park at the campsite next to our tent as it meant that we didn't take as long to get everything unpacked and packed. I would definitely go back. So here is a list of the good and bad.

TICKS! OH GODS THE TICKS! Part of sleeping outside. Tor and I had one each when we got home.
Mud! By Saturday afternoon my pants were just covered in muddy pawprints and hems were caked.

On our way to Oklacon soon.... very soon! Super excited to have a relaxing weekend with the Tor!

So have been really thinking about going to Midwest Furfest this year. To save on costs I'm hoping to either find someone to ride with me and Tor in our vehicle or someone to give us a ride. Anyone in central Texas heading that way?

But I'm sure FWA won't mind. For the last eight years FWA has been the only con I've attended and for six of those years I've been staff (one year as volunteer). I LOVE being on staff and I hope to always be a part of the team keeping the con running smoothly. That said, I think it is time I find another con to attend so I can actually relax if/when I want or involve myself in furry shenanigans.....

I kinda want to do an art trade with someone but I don't know how fast I would be at finishing the art. Still, it would be nice to have a reason to push myself to draw again.

I admit defeat. I can now be found on Weasyl under EvilAng. I will probably not transfer any of my old art there but when I post new art I will do it on both sites (Weasyl and FA).

This isn't going to be a very big post-con report because I'm lazy so I'll just list some of the more important thingies.

*The drive there sucked less than in previous years. I actually had a rideshare that could share driving. In fact, she did more of the driving than I did.

*I worked for most of the con but as I am hospitality staff I was in the God Level suite and everything went smooth. Our new hospitality coordinator did an excellent job and our God Level attendees seemed impressed.

*The letter jackets offered this year are insanely comfy and they look great! I'm so glad I bought it as the last day we were in Atlanta it actually got pretty chilly out.

*This was the last FWA for my old Ang tail! I've had it for a decade now. When I get an Ang suit (It will happen eventually) I will likely get a new tail and this one will be scrapped.

*HOLY SHIT! I ordered a tail from  sparklekreations and it is AMAZING! This is a tail of my rat 'sona, Sarsaparilla. It is just perfect... and OMG so long. It drags on the ground behind me as a good ratty tail should. I got so many compliments on it from con attendees, non-furries on the street, hotel staff and even the Domino's employees that were selling pizzas at FWA. A cute moment was when I was being chased by a fursuiter and didn't realize it right away. I knew people were smiling and chuckling but didn't know why at first. Finally I looked back and saw that a cute suiter was chasing the end of my tail. With this the reaction to just a tail from Sparkle Kreations I can't wait to see how my fullsuit of Phineas turns out!!!

* lizardbeth did a beautiful badge of Phineas and it also got a lot of compliments! Words can not describe just how great this badge is! NEW FAVORITE BADGE!!!

I'm sure there is more to tell and I'll likely be editing this later but for now that's all that really stands out in my mind.

In case you haven't figured it out from the title I am going to be leaving for Atlanta tonight for Furry Weekend Atlanta!!! YAY! I've been waiting all year for this! I hope to actually get some art finished and maybe uploaded when I get back home.

I haven't worked on any art so of course I haven't posted for a while. I will eventually and I hope that the things I do finish will be better than the old stuff I have left up here.

In case anyone is curious I'll likely be making an appearance at Texas Furry Fiesta this year and I know for a fact that I will be at Furry Weekend Atlanta. I'm also hitting a local comic con. I don't know if I'll be trying for any other conventions but I might try for a few meets later in the year.
