So where did I go?
Posted 8 years agoIt's weird. About 7-8 years ago, I thought I was pretty much done with the fandom, figured I'd matured enough and moved on...Yeah, I basically went a couple years without a fandom and then ended up orbiting the Brony community for awhile.
Before you ask, no I never truly counted myself among their numbers. Mainly because while the show itself is ok, I was more interested in the opportunity it set up. New world, interesting characters, and tons of possibility. As my last post pointed out, leaving PoE left me feeling pretty bad. So I kinda wanted an established universe to practice my writing on.
So yeah, I actually wrote several stories in the MLP universe. Most I didn't finish, but one I did and frankly, that made me feel good. Ironically enough, that story ended up being a bit rougher than some of my other works. One story was initially a group project but one by one, my fellow authors flaked out like complete assholes and left me holding the whole thing.
Interestingly enough, it was here that i finally learned what I really like doing. I like editing. I find it fun, I get to help other writers improve, and I get to help motivate them, to help them overcome that one flaw I lacked in my own works.
Fast forward the better part of a decade and here I am again. I may not write on my own, but I do wish to do some editing for the furry fandom.

I absolutely refuse....(also an apology inside)
Posted 8 years agoTo believe it's been 7 years since I last posted. There had to have been a time warp somewhere along the way.
Hell who knows, maybe I've gotten so massive I started warping Time and Space.
So hail to thee, the people who remember me. Dunno why I keep taking so long to boomerang back.
So where have I been all this time? It's a bit....odd. Let's put it this way, I initially left thinking I was merely moving on with my life. Not proud that I just up and left, I mean I left PoE undone that entire time. Even if it wasn't the most popular story, it still bugs me that I never finished.
But yeah, left thinking I was simply getting older and moving away from cartoon animals....only to end up in a different fandom with cartoon animals. So yeah, became a very outlier brony. Recently declared my break from the show (it got REALLY dumb) but while I was there I learned more about myself. While writing was fun, I REALLY like editing. It's just fun for me. I get to help other writers and help them improve their skills as writers.
If Al is still around, I owe him a massive apology. Al if you're still there, man. I'm sorry. I didn't know what I wanted and I screwed our story over leaving when I did.

Greetings small corner of FA that actually acknowledges me!
Posted 15 years agoWhat's up you lot? It's been awhile. Also I checked, 20K posts, messages, and what not! Woot! @ what I was gonna come back for! Anyway, I'm bored so I'm gonna post stuff. Shocking I know.
Metaphors ahoy!
Posted 15 years agoHere's a metaphorical question for ya.....though I can't quite remember if this counts as a metaphor....Screw it, who cares? Anyway, here's my question:
If we all existed in a world in which furries (anthromorphs) existed as living, sentient beings and you weren't one of them, how would you react to such a world and why? I, being a thoroughly horrible person, would probably kill them, skin them, and sell them as handbags. That or I'd start up my career as the most powerful and feared pimp of all. Hey, they technically aren't human, so they'd be free game. I may also torture them horribly without any remorse. 13 viewings of James Cameron's Avatar would break anyone! I could end up sit around writing up horrible things I'd actually be to squeamish to do. Actually I'd be a pirate. Any what would you lot do? I've written the more horrible ones so feel free to be honest.

After an Eternity away from you all,
Posted 15 years agoEvil Cleric is back....bitches.
Yes, indeed, I am indeed back and with a vengeance. Expect an actual end to PoE.
Also, I just noted I have 8208 new messages, which of course is the accumulated journals and submissions I haven't cleared out yet. I'm holding out for 10k.

ENGLISH MOTHERF**KER!!! DO YOU SPEAK IT?!
Posted 16 years agolol, new avatar.
As is, I can't wait to get character creation down. Once I get that down and I get some models of my characters made, expect to see a ton of stuff.
Also WoW is still fun. Can't wait for the new expansion pack. The art of the crazed Aspect of earth, the black dragon, Deathwing, formerly known as Neltharion looks friggin badass.

Impending submission removal
Posted 16 years agoI might start taking down submissions fairly soon. I might leave the stories up for a little while longer, but I'm gonna start removing everything else.
Estimated people that will notice: 1. Most likely Al since he's pretty much the only person on here that realizes this account exists. Plus I'm almost never around to add stuff.
Edit because I word things horribly: What I should've put earlier and didn't for some reason is this account will be active and I won't be shutting it down. I'm simply shifting more art oriented stuff over to my other account, Brainsaw....I would put a link but for some god awful reason I can't remember how to do the name link thing-a-ma-jigger. It's in my watched list as well as in my "Watched By" list. Did that for the convenience of switching between the two.

Well this should be interesting.
Posted 16 years agoI've made my first human model in the 3d program Maya and turned it into the class I was working on it for. I'm not going to post it up here because anyone who looks at my stuff and comments is a friend and I want you all to remain sane. It is ugly. Definitely human, but daaaaaaaaamn if it ain't ugly as hell.
You know what I hate?
Posted 16 years agoI hate it when I go threw all the art that's accumulated during the time in between clearing sessions, I find an artist who've I watched for a long ass time and is really skilled only to start seeing their new works being heavily censored with "Find the uncensored version at www.artwhore.com!"
I may seem harsh, but seriously the whole "They do it to make money!" argument is a lame defense. I've never made more money by selling through a third party than selling to people directly. Actually doing it with the middle man yields less money as middle guy wants his cut.
Hell if anything the artist damages their rep as doing that will lead some people to calling them sell-outs. Some artist are just so popular this doesn't hurt them, but then again these artists reached their near mythical status before they started selling through third party sites.
Also Halo Wars while fun is a pretty forgettable exp. And WoW is till fun. 8 lvls to 80 on my DK. I dick around too much, otherwise I'd be there already.

I'm not dead!!!
Posted 17 years agoI'm just buried beneath school work and procrastination. On the good side I have improved my art skills some. On the bad side, I can't get it on here.
Do you know what really sucks?
Posted 17 years agoBeing stuck in Florida several days before classes start, it's been raining almost constantly so I can't go out, and my Xbox 360 has been in the shop for repairs in mother fucking Texas.
All I've got is a Mac laptop that has little to no gaming potential and I've already seen al my dvds.
On top of that, I originally intended to leave my 360 at home so I wouldn't be distracted from school, but these last few incredibly boring days have tried my patience and so I'm gonna tell the 'rents to send it this way when it comes back.

I'm not as dead as you think I am
Posted 17 years agoI'm just really freaking busy.
Attention: What does it have in Vespene Gas?
Posted 17 years agoI require more of it. Yes, I would like someone to post on my page every now and then. I mean come on. Al can only do so much, he can't clone himself and oreder his clones to register on FA and tell them to comment my stuff. Mainly because FA doesn't allow clones.
Hiatus? Hiati?...I can't remember. Incoming rant.
Posted 17 years agoAnyway you get the gist. I'm gonna be off-line for awhile to school issues and just plain getting tired of the people here on FA.
I thought my ire towards FA goers would be a short term thing at best, you know something that would cool after a while and everything would be fine, but instead I'm finding myself gettiing even more pissed off for some reason. That's the clencher right there, I'm not sure exactly why I'm so peeved at you lot. I at first thought it was the lack of people reading PoE or maybe even lack of comments on them (comments equal love, people, remember that), but it's more than that. I thought it might be the fairly low number of people on my owned Watched By, that even pay attention to my stuff or my occasional journal, but again that's only part of the problem. It turns out I hate how someone, perhaps an artist of a higher caliber, can post a piece of art, something that I would gladly kill children to have the skill to make, and the call it crap. Meanwhile ten billion rabid fans swarm in with and start making adoring comments that range from witty to mediocre to comments that are so lame it makes me want to annhilate the entire human race.
I admit it, I'm pretty damn jealous of these people, but what puts me over the top is how they ignore people and how infuriatingly arrogant they can be. I've seen a very famous artist who only Favs (I take these rather seriously, sue me) pieces of art depicting his own characters, in some cases pieces that he himself has done. (MBR I'm looking at you)
I admit it may be a stupid thing to hate, but it's one of my pet peeves. I see favs as a way of giving an artist a pat on the back for something of their creation. Characters, background, lighting, use of these three. The characters don't always have to be theirs, but to fav things that consistantly and exclusively depict something of your own creation is bigotry in my eyes.
Another thing I hate is how sometimes these artist fall into the trap of elitism. I've seen it and it makes me happy and yet sad. Happy, because I know what to do to avoid falling into that same trap and sad that anyone would ever think themselves as being so high and mighty.
Ugh, rant over. I know all this sounds like some veiled plea for attention, but I swear by my entire bloodline, the first person accusing me of being an attention-craving crybaby gets hunted down and pelted with dead ferrets. I might check up once in a while. Don't hold your breath.

Fan Fic pet peeves
Posted 17 years agoThese are some of my biggest pet peeves in furry or any other writing...or any other form of storytelling.
1. The main character or any other characters of the author's creation being a Mary Stu. This is very evident in poorly developed characters. Eragon and the entire Elven race in Christopher Paolini's Inheritance trilogy are good examples of this. Besides, flawed characters are more fun. Here's a link to a good definition of this.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Stu
2. Amnesia. There's too much of it in stories nowadays. This is an exceedingly dead cliche, anime being the largest abuser of this one. Also it show's the author is sometimes to lazy to come up with a decent backstory.
3. Perfectly beautiful characters. I'm seperating this from the Mary Stu one because I feel it needs to be addressed directly. I hate these characters. Everyone is supermodel perfect and always seem to have a spotlight on them. The males are all ripped and studly, with a penis roughly the size of my car's axle, while all the females are perfectly hot, tit's out to China and ready to go down if a male drops a cheeto. It's a bigas kick in the face to suspension of disbelief and it's also exceedingly shallow. I've read fanfics in which a fairly famous fur will walk by and the entire story jumps off it's current track to revolve around this character for roughly half the story even if it's a secondary character. These characters also tend to have the biggest libido of all time. Fine, then if they must fuck everything that breathes and a few things that don't, then let them, just don't make a new sex scene each time they walk into a room.
4. Sonic fanfic starring a new even faster hedgehog than even Sonic! Fanwank the Hedgehog, yet another recolor of Sonic. Whoop-de-friggin-doo.
5. Elves. Hate them. If I read another WoW fanfic that glorifies one more fucking elf, I'm going to go create an alternate universe with every elf ever seen in a fantasy story and I'm going to go and rape their skulls until they die with an Exact-O knife.
That's all for now more coming later.

Why is it?
Posted 17 years agoThat even with the promise of pron, people still don't comment on your submissions. Seriously, a maximum of 2 people post on my submissions with any regularity. Occasionally, someone else might pop up, but then afterwards I'll be lucky to hear from them before Arakis floods. It's annoying as fuck. Over 8/10s of the people who've Watched me never comment on anything, pron, regular pic, or otherwise. So I'll say this to those people if they even notice this journal....
FREAKING UN-WATCH ME ALREADY!!!!
I'd much rather have a small core of people who do actually comment on me rather than having someone Watching me and never posts or gives feed back!
Hell, I've had better luck with people who were just randomly browsing and happened across my stuff than with the people that Watched me intentionally.

Can't wait for Halo Wars.
Posted 18 years agoSimply because this is Halo back at it's roots. Yup, Halo started out as an RTS and switched to an over-the-shoulder (Also known as a third-person shooter, but how's counting) shooter like GoW then switched to the Halo we all know and love, or in some cases hate. Everything so far is looking mighty badass, especially the Scarab.
There are a few issues in HW I'd like to clear up. Halo Wars starts on the colony planet Harvest as that's where first contact with the Covenant was made, but the story follows the Phoenix class colony ship Spirit of Fire. There are no space battle, but that's ok, cause the UNSC gets raped in space by the Covenant anyway, so it wouldn't be that much fun. HW is exclusive to the Xblock 360, so PC gamers will have to wait awhile.
Here's a link to the site

Jump on the forums, I'm there fairly often (everyday) I go by Offensive Bias if you ever feel the need to look me up. Also note, if you do join the forums, use the search bar before starting a new thread to make sure you aren't covering old ground.
