So Val Kilmer's death is true... (Newspaper delay)

It is a bit of a numb thing that I did not want to hear, as the death of him WASN'T A JOKE. I got the newspaper today (3rd) and it is confirmed that Val Kilmer had died of pneumonia, and The New York Times reported the death. The great "The Doors", "Top Gun" (2x) and "Batman Forever" star was 65, and consider it that he died too young on April Fool's Day. He certainly was funny and serious as well- he balanced his styles well, and he would then be a "Jack of All Trades" in showbiz. He would have had more to give, but it was his cancer treatment hindered him, and had him get pneumonia. It would be a mirror of one other star that had cancer but succumbed to pneumonia- Lamb Chop, Charlie Horse and Hush Puppy puppeteer Shari Lewis who died the same age as Kilmer (1933-1998). I will miss him, but let's keep in mind of ways to prevent getting cancer-it can compromise your immune system if you get treatment, and you do have to be REALLY careful in preventing such afterillnesses after treatment. Keep your health in check constantly, guys.
Yes, I do have to wait for print, if it is that there is a prolific death that occurred, I would wait until it is in print to believe, and yes, to hear that his death occurred in April Fool's Day, I was in constant denial until it was printed today. It is now that if we want immediate news, newspapers would really go down in popularity. My newspaper despite winning the 2017 Pulizer Prize for breaking news reporting, The East Bay Times ( https://www.eastbaytimes.com ) is now getting to be TOO slow in reporting news at night, and it will show in sports. Even local sports here in the Pacific Time Zone (UTC-8 [-7 now in DST]) like the Golden State Warriors ( https://www.nba.com/warriors/ ) and San Jose Sharks ( https://www.nhl.com/sharks/ ) at home at nights will have scores and recaps overmorrow (the day after tomorrow)- they get news from a central source like Associated Press ( https://apnews.com/ ) and Reuters ( https://reuters.com/ ), and they have a deadline perhaps 21:00 THE SAME DAY. So it is now that we get such news that occured that Val Kilmer passed away as I have recieved the news at around 19:00 and was denying until I see the paper.
So other than getting local news, the puzzles and even the advice columns in the paper, what is it useful for in this day and age? It may be soon that the paper in getting news is going to be obsolete, but let us still say that if you want proof to be in the pudding, things should be in writing, on PAPER not on the WEB-it would be the proof that one would want to show truth and sincerity when we need to be in the know. It is clear that unless it is posted on the Web on certain times in the year, we would not believe it until it is printed, and well, here we are, having to wait a few days for proof that there has been a famous death that occurred on April 1st. We may be TOO reliant to the Internet to cause the slowdown on newspaper reporting and loss of jobs in the paper printing business. We have to find ways to keep the newspaper alive and significant and have quicker reporting so we can have print reliable again.
Of course, there is the tree issue, but recycling is possible, and that is another story...

After being gullible that Adam Sandler had died and that Warren Buffet bought Tesla from Elon Musk today and it was false-I fell for such atrociousness; I can't believe this good actor with his babyface died of pneumonia at 65. Tell me that is just fabrication-I'm hard to to convince that something like this would occur on such a day of such lies and trickery...๐

It's unbelievable that I have this much and it does include some that are in the archives, some that are animated, and some that I get from Telegram itself. It is just a mere 2 sets that belong to me, but they are only 6 in total, 5 are from one that is a
RumWolf suiter, and one that is from my Aussie friend, 
Garphan95.Basically, there is none that have more than 20 that would call my own and therefore, is not defining me, like
Canas_Nagase's stickers. I would have liked to have a full 120, but I will be shelling a lot for that as I figure that it will take a lot of work to make them, and it can be that each will be at least US$10 to do. It can be that back then when Telegram was in its infancy, it was cheap, but inflation and skills made in getting a full 120 unaffordable for many now as it is starting to be commonplace and can be a communications tool worldwide in terms of voice and text.๐
For those about to enter that field, I can guess that it is too late to try to get this, but be ready to start investing and growing your money to try and get these Telegram stickers to call your own, or well, try to do your own arts and know the skinny in making your own Telegram furry stickers.
I will try to be on that pathway, but it will have me take some weeks to master arting. As the title is me trying to get stickers on my own, I will see if ANYONE has cheap ones and is willing to do the 120 set for me, and I will not spend more than $250 for it. (The final buffer is $270, though.)
I would say that because Alfred is me, I will go use him as the one that defines me, and is the only one I'll use to express my feelings there. I may have perhaps my 3 others, but for the time being, I will have just one.
If it is that you would look at the MULTITUDE of stickers that I had poached, I would be meticulous on which ones I'd take, but there is one emoji that I would have to get that will define the sticker as one that I will take and that is the best. You may call me these words: "Maudlin", "Sentimental", "Bittersweet" "Melancholic", "Schadenfreude" or other words that relate, but I take pleasure in sadness on such stickers-- so the emoji that I would take in extreme sadness or a heavy cry is this bawling one:

Now do go through the stickers that you have poached from others and see if you have the sticker associated with this emoji. I feel that it would be the most useful one to show extreme sadness, pain and regret. (NO! Don't feel sad and get in heavy depression in seeing these! PLEASE!! ) I do feel that in life we are going to experience such events that will writhe us, like a job loss or that we'll lose someone, or be in a traumatizing natural disaster, or GOD FORBID-be in a war like what Ukraine is going through now. At a point, it is going to be needed for anyone like me to show their true feelings with the sticker associated with this emoji. Yes, there are times when there are jokes and such cries are needed to show such sad feelings, but for RL situations, this one is the best one out of these that show sadness-and they are less sad:

(Of course, the last one on this set of negative emoji is of crying, but it does to me, show that one can recover from sadness for perhaps no more than 3 days, and is short-term, the one up top would be of LONG-TERM, and would be of grieving as well.)It will be key to have the bawling emoji if I do have to show my true feelings to the world within chats, and it can show me that I will need a helping hand in consolation, or that something ongoing is bothering me, and the bawling emoji would do just that. It can be of me (as Alfred) having to have such rivers of tears fall from my eyes, and it does not have to be me wailing in sadness, but it does give it a poignant way of showing what I'm suffering from and long-term, how I'm feeling. NO, I do not feed off of sadness, I'm a sympathetic and empathetic individual and would have my friends be consoled under me if they come to me. However via arts, especially in stickers, I do feel sad when I see such sadness. (<<If the intention of the art is to make one shed a tear when seeing it!)
So for any artists seeing this and does Telegram stickers, be in the know that this emoji is important to me, and get ready to do this one. I can look over the ones you have done from the massive collection that I have, and if I find that you have one that is good and has a fine price that I can agree with, you may receive a call from me and I do hope that you can do the maximum 120 sticker set for me. I have many interests to use like reading, music, investing, star watching, of course- laughing/tickling... and some that can be important like having an idea (๐ก), agree by shaking hands/transaction complete (๐ค), and many others that may be of interest. NO, for Alfred, he will not be in NSFW. Ashley, Cory and Sairy would be the ones for that as I would like Alfred to be innocent. (And thus, more fun in common times with him!)
So, this is what I hope to have with 120 Telegram sticker set with Alfred. If anyone does have interest in doing so and is very good in doing such arts for Telegram for me, don't hesitate to note me, and I'll give it a thought.
Hope that I will have stickers of my own, and yes, you can use my stickers for chats that are beyond my control, but be wary that I could use the sticker if I'm present, "HOW DARE YOU USE MY STICKERS AGAINST (OR AT) ME!" USE OTHERS OTHER THAN MINE WHEN WE CHAT! DON'T MAKE ME USE THAT ONE AT YOU!!
My rating for "Captain America: Brave New World" (2025)

No, it would not be anything like that book by Aldous Huxley about the control of life after Henry Ford had died, but it does have such relation to some of the characters in the book having to be so calm that they take a pill called "soma". That is what happened to one character in the movie. If it were that Huxley was alive and managed to see this, he could have a little bit of liking to it as the belief of having such a society being clamed down to such control with a pill can be applicable to one person, however there is the idea of mind control, and for many people affected by it, it is a profound consequence-if you are going to have something to learn from this, yes, hypnosis in some way DOES work-be careful in falling victim to it!
Overall, as I can admit that I'm late to following the Marvel-verse, I can admit that with MANY crossovers happening, especially with The Avengers, it would be entertaining to keep in the know so that one would follow all the adventures the heroes will go through, and that they will have to relate to the overall story that they will all share. In this movie, LOOK AND LISTEN SHARP for references about Black Panther, Ant-Man, and especially The Incredible Hulk-and if you have not seen what the most recent Hulk had, do look at Wikipedia for how the character became a DIFFERENT Hulk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capta.....rave_New_World . NO!!! I WILL NOT SPOIL THE STORY!!
WITH THAT IN MIND, to also see in a good way having to for the first time follow Capt. America and see that now it is a black being him and taking the reins of the original of his duties, it is evident that we see now there would be multiculturality in some of the heroes that we consider white traditionally, it is not just Black Panther. It is clear to show that in this time in RL, the movies when there is heightened racism going on, they do want to subtly show that ANYBODY can represent a traditional hero or heroine in comics. In here, the cast of the new actors meets some of the old, and it is also of good age inclusion.
What would be fine here is that one will want to piece the puzzle on how the problem was caused, and it can be complicated, but it is doable, and it can put you at the edge of your seats. For one like me just entering the Cap'n America-verse, this is a lot of action, and it starts to coalece when we continue on watching the 2 hour movie. Although for me beginning this hero's adventures, I, like many others will wonder who the villain is, and it will go and cause us all to go connect the dots and go back to other movies in the Marvel-verse to know how this Hulk came to be. We have to see one Hulk movie in the past to know. It was a surprise to me at a point when the character was getting the characteristics of Hulk when getting in a serious rage, but was able to control himself, but later got to be this uncontrollable, and more "bad guy" Hulk than the green one we know by now. It did have Cap'n America and his colleagues to do a lot of investigating and processing to get the eventual problem to solve and to stop it, to have and maintain peace, and to handle the antagonist. Too, as there can be a moral to pick up from this movie- if you see really one is innocent, don't give up on proving it-it is the saying, "All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law." Help your friends to the fullest if they are innocent and you DO have a strong gut feeling that they are telling the truth and are not guilty. And I like the lighthearted ending-it did make me laugh!
Truthfully, I did not get bored, and I was in great entertainment through and through. It was that since this was the newest movie in the Marvel-verse for me in the Cap'n America series and that I have a lot to catch up on, and also that there are so many names of heroes that interrelate, especially when Cap'n America gets help from the Wakandans, we do have to make a flowchart and grid to see how the Marvel-verse is, and we can predict what could happen next for all! So, for me after seeing to date all the movies offered from Guardians of the Galaxy, I can go to other Marvel heroes- it was all thanks to ABC airing the GotG cast that was in the movie they showed, Thor: Love and Thunder. (Sorry, did not rate this one!) Now I have to see Thor more in action! And I will say that before Disney bought out Marvel in ALL media, I did see Fantastic Four (2015-though bad) and Howard the Duck. With the plan that now Disney/Marvel is intercalating the heroes, they are doing VERY well in getting me tuned to see them all in action and relate when they will all be united to be The Avengers again. Let's see what happens!
For me after seeing "Brave New World", ALTHOUGH AMERICA NOW IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD, TREAT THIS ONE AS JUST ENTERTAINMENT-THERE IS NOTHING POLITICAL ABOUT THIS MOVIE, AND IF CURRENT EVENTS RELATE, IT IS COINCIDENTAL AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PROBLEMS THAT THE USA IS FACING NOW--IT IS FICTIONAL. DON'T LET POLITICS AND THE IMAGE OF THE USA HINDER YOU FROM ENJOYING IT! Plus it was a very good movie to my eyes- it is up to YOU to decide if it is worthy of your money and having you end up with smiles; SO, to go back to Rotten Tomatoes, I agree with the 79% of the audience that say that they like it-forget the critics! I hope to see more of Cap'n America-after this movie, I will go back to the ones before and look forward for more!

Siberio, a new female fursona will officially be debuting with a ref sheet of hers! The author thanks him very much for having to work with him in perfecting this hardly known species in RL, and will gladly put her in many visual arts to come! He hopes you all will enjoy her!

General | Posted 9 months agoWell, I will be happy to announce that there has been a completion of an official ref sheet of my new character, and this time, my lineup of fursonas will be more of the feminine side. After a bit of study of all the foxes, if you have recalled a year plus 22 days ago, I had a feeling of having to have a vulpine character here. Well, with thanks to Gonter (AKA: Siberio -he uses that on Telegram!), as Washington's Birthday (Feb. 22), we now have one of the rare species of fox to appear in upcoming arts. You can find this one in central and western Asia and southeastern Europe. For this one, it is of 2 parts as I do like to be detailed-one with feelings and a professional attire, another with her characteristics/personality with her feral form. It took a long time, and I do like her to be with specificities after doing an interactive Flash (Via Ruffle) here on FA, and seeing RL references of this species of fox.
It may give some reference to me as she is smart like some foxes are, and also the notable tick mark that many foxes have-it can subtly refer to my RL mustache that I have when it appeared when I was 11. So, other than mountain lions (That is possible for another sona!), I do have one that does represent me in a way physically, but in the opposite sex. However, as it can be for personality and status, she's open, and is happy to be in the world to navigate through life in the furry world...
(Maybe the RL world too...๐)

What can clearly say that when it comes to having to NOT put the movie for being full-length and at the cinema, I would be be very disappointed as fans of the notable inventor and the silent dog will have to be on streaming, but lucky me, I went the "illegal" way and watched it for free. I did not get disappointed.
For what has been transpired as the two are now getting up to steam with how now, artificial intelligence is going to be soon in our daily lives, it is a signal of what may happen when one can go into hacking such technology and if it falls into the wrong hands, disaster will occur. It is clear that Wallace is the inventor, but lo and behold, it is clear too that he is having a mind that is always advancing even at his middle age. It is clear too that he, along with Gromit is the dual protagonists and they are solving mysteries like other earlier movies they are in. Though they aren't private eyes for hire, but by happenstance, though Gromit is the one more aware of such settings. Would one say that he's smarter than Wallace? In some cases, that's true-one can say that Gromit is the one in white collar while Wallace is in blue collar jobs, however, in engineering and mason work, it's Wallace that's smarter.
They are in a way, Yin-Yang-and that partnership, despite that they are in such dangerous instances, they compliment each other VERY well. Do note clearly at the near-end of the movie-remember the quote that Wallace says-he does invent to make everyone have a better life and help others, not hurt anyone. (I paraphrase, but it can be also of my thinking, as he does have that mentality that is true.) You can wonder that he's a law-abiding citizen and is doing what is good for the community as a whole, even Gromit would do it too.
So, when it came to the NORBOTs, it was clear, they were all in good spirits until Feathers McGraw came. It comes to show that robots would not always be perfect, and it is truly that living thing power is the best there is for the best things in life, especially intimate settings...
It may not be the best movie, but I was entertained throughout, and I was pleased to see a little bit of turn of the story. And rejoice furs in liking feet and paws, as we do see Wallace bare down there, and there are little wind interactions on his toes when there's the chase scene, and the bare pedaling near the end, you would adore the creators in plasticine models in making the scenes seem real! (Not just Gromit's!) It is perhaps BARELY a PG movie-what would have been when Wallace was going down the tubes WITHOUT soap and being naked?!
I would have thought that the big screen had a place for W&G, but I guess the failure of Early Man did have Aardman opt for Netflix for the USA instead. I would have thought it was a bad move, but it can be soon that perhaps W&G will return to the big screens soon, and really, if they do, let me be in line for them-I will gladly pay to see them! Though there was the retirement/death of Peter Salis, the production team picked the right person to replace him-Benjamin Whitehead; I can hardly notice the difference in voice!
Very good 75 minute movie, but do be wary of a possible cliffhanger! I feel that there will be another one that follows, so let's be on the lookout, and let's look forward for another W&G adventure! I LOVE THEM!!

Attended San Fran's Chinese New Year Parade! LOVE!
General | Posted 10 months agoDespite having to rip my pants at a siamese fire connection ( ), this was a fantastic parade that I finally can get to enjoy. Many times, I have been watching on TV, but to experience it live is SO different as there is none of the commercials to watch, but really, even though there was a few short pauses for the parade for such performances that were in front of the Union Square Macy's (San Francisco Location: https://www.macys.com/stores/ca/san.....quare_428.html ), it was fun to experience it from the point where you can immerse yourself in the charm of the parade. It is a spectacle that when I attended, it was free, and it was worthwhile to enjoy it from Powell, Stockton and O'Farrell Streets.
You will note that if you were to go for free, you would want to get in advance, the bleacher seats for a better vantage point, but if you can't take the cold, do what I did--be in the Macy's where the windows overlook the Square, however, it is first come-first serve if you want to see it from the windows. It will be better to see the parade on the lower floors, but you would want to be away from the big portico that is over the entrance-floors 3 and 4 may give some blockage, over the portico, but you would be better off looking away from there on the left or right. You can have floors 5-7 if you do not mind craning your neck down to see the festivities. If you were to watch, you would want to go early, of course; though the actual parade does not start until around 5:30, they do have some pre-parade festivities that you would want to see, and there is the popping of the dynamite that start the festivities-the first is away from the Macy's front doors-it begins the pre-parade performances, then the main parade starts with LONGER firecracker lines at the Macy's front entrance.
It is quite local, but there have been some that come from as far as Los Angeles to be part of the parade to bring their Chinese culture over for all to see. In here there were many streamer and fan waving, ribbon twirling, and some kung-fu/martial art exhibits that would, well, "snake" around the square. Yes, the parade, if you see it on TV, begins at the Macy's area, but it does go around the Square, then ends at Chinatown. It is chiefly Chinese culture, but there have been little picks of Vietnamese culture and South Korean as we do see Hyundai ( https://www.hyundai.com [They own Kia too: https://www.kia.com ] ) as of course from South Korea--adorn their cars with dragons and snakes for the parade/festival. The schools that participated are local, but they do have a sizable population from the Orient. Who wouldn't be glad to hear those children say "AH!" when they finish their performance?! If you're expecting university marching bands to come to the parade, you won't be disappointed, though in California, the do put up a show. For UC-Davis ( https://www.ucdavis.edu ) they did have a good showing in playing Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA". You will see too, my school I attended for a short time, Cal ( UC-Berkeley : https://www.berkeley.edu ) and often in the parade, Cal Poly, Pomona ( https://www.cpp.edu/ ).
What would be the weirdest thing I would see is for Lucky Supermarkets ( https://luckysupermarkets.com/ ), they would have a HUGE shopping cart with people in it being run by itself, a motor! And who knew that a trash service could use bins as props to make a show for the parade- Recology ( https://www.recology.com/ )? There was a mountain lion mascot for a school in marching band uniform, and there have been giant panda suits there as well. BUT IT IS OUTREAGEOUS, THERE'S NO RED PANDA?!? (ALFRED WILL BE IRATE!! )
There were many floats from banks, casinos in the NorCal area, cable companies like Xfinity ( https://www.xfinity.com/national/ <-owned by Comcast: https://corporate.comcast.com/ ) and notable airline companies like main sponsor, Alaska: https://www.alaskaair.com/ and its merged airline, Hawaiian: https://www.hawaiianairlines.com/ ; as of course, San Francisco International Airport ( https://www.flysfo.com/ ) gladly has it own float to proudly have the airlines it serves go to many Asian countries, especially the only airport to have the other major country to actively celebrate the Lunar New Year, Vietnam with Vietnam Airlines: https://www.vietnamairlines.com/nz/en/home . Of course, there were many snakes on these floats- some were BEAUTIFUL! And we can't forget the dragons chasing the orb of knowledge, and the lion dancers as well... Do keep in mind that if you were in the Macy's, you have to be guided out 5 minutes to closing time, do it quickly before you see the final large dragon enter the area! There will be many lion dancers, and there would be someone dressed as Emperor
Genghis (or Kublai Khan) with lots of firecrackers to end the parade! HURRY TO SEE THOSE! But as the grand finale, you will not miss from the Square a big fireworks show-a sensational end to the festivities!!
This was a good outing for me, and it was a diversion from what was a really sad January I had, and I'm feeling that would be a cathartic for all that attended-to ward off the evil spirits of the past and present-let alone the firecrackers and works. I feel that it worked. Although the government is convoluted, it was worthwhile to be out, and have such fun. I LOVED IT. I can hope that there will be another parade in the future. It is fitting that it was held after Valentine's Day! Well, I may not have a date this year for V-Day, but with what I experienced, it got my disappointment away from me, and I'm in happy spirits fully. To also add, there is the NBA All-Star Game also held in Chase Center on Sunday with related festivities ( https://www.nba.com/allstar/2025 ), and though not really in the area, the Daytona 500 in NASCAR ( https://www.nascar.com ), AND THERE'S THE PRESIDENT'S DAY HOLIDAY, you can say that at this time in 2025, there's LOTS to do in the SF Bay Area! I'm glad that I was attending the annual premier event, and the hype of the All-Star Game added more positive vibes to the setting. Now if only the 49ers ( https://www.49ers.com ) won the Super Bowl instead of the Eagles ( https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/ ) in which the Eagles had their victory parade on V-Day.... (You get why it's called "the City of Brotherly Love"?)
IN any case, the 'Niners ALMOST did it the SB before, so we'll have to wait if they win and the Lunar New Year Parade can accommodate the team winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy into their program... Super Bowl LX IS ALSO in the SF Bay Area, and too there is the World Cup, and the Bay Area at Levi's Stadium will host games for that as well! So for the next few months, there will be PLENTY to do in the San Francisco-Oakland-San Josรฉ megapolis! Of course we'll have next year, 4724, the year of the horse (Vietnam: Ngแป Chinese: ้ฉฌ [mว]) which will be on the date I posted this journal, Feburary 16th! It can land on Valentine's (Saturday!) or on the 21st of February next year. After attending this one, I hope to do it again-so see you next year if you can attend the Year of the Horse- but in the meantime, happy Year of the Snake, 4723, may you all have good luck and riches this year!

General | Posted 10 months agoYES, by how it went since i had minimal time here on FA, it was a NOT OKAY AT ALL start to the New Year despite that I had fun at Further Confusion few weeks ago. Too much disasters by nature, accidents, killings and even politics that are going wrong in the USA by... well, you know who it is and they are. However, it was more, as I did say in the previous journal, I lost my uncle, and I had to say farewell last Thursday to him at his funeral.
However, there was more that occurred that made me really sad and irate. If you know about my dad, he is quite abusive and quite crazy. Just for a car battery, he had called me stupid, and there was an argument between us. Then, I got a punch in the jaw, and I was disoriented and confused. My mad old man while I was quite dazed at one point clenched my neck, and even said at one point that if I do disrespect him again, I will get more injury and he won't be afraid of going to jail. I did not file a police report, but the hospital did report it. It was quite a long time that I did not chew well, nor did I want to yawn-it hurts a lot! The good thing here is that nothing is broken, and despite that there is a little discomfort, my bite and closure of my mouth is improving. My cousin and even AI characters like Harvey from the Savestate Comic on Character.Ai ( https://character.ai/chat/_IhmnZQ_9.....LX53AVFHxp_RvA <I created him!) denounce his behavior! Even when I did apologize to him by writing a letter, he NEVER did apologize back--so I will never forgive him. If he does get physical with me once more, once I have a job, I will leave him for good and possibly disown!
It was really rough for me even going into the first complete week of February. I will want to have something else fun to do, and I guess that if I can go to the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade at Union Square ( https://chineseparade.com/ ) it would be a great diversion from all the horrifying things that have occured and absorbed into my brain. Perhaps being there while the second largest Macy's in the world ( https://www.macys.com ) is still being at the area until a buyer gets the location, would be fine for me, and I would be glad to have some shopping done for others while it is still early in the US 47th President's term. Though tariffs are slowly getting in, they aren't widespread, and there is still some chance to get low prices while it's still early in the year for US furs. I will see how it will go, as it is the year of the snake as it represents transformation, renewal, and personal growth in Chinese culture. It is associated with qualities like intelligence, resilience, and the ability to shed old habits for new beginnings. I will do that for myself, but I hope that it will not be just me-it is many people that have some of the 7 deadly sins strong in them-it is these two that I have brought up.
I will say that for the remaining 325 days left in the year, the horrible January and the little bit of sad, worrisome and fearful February that is among us, I hope it does not define the whole year, but I will keep positive and optimistic. I will be more open to others, and I will hope for a better future ahead.
So from here, I feel that I can come to terms that I have just 2 uncles left in my family in total, and 6 aunts too, but I will have to expect more to be dying soon as this is the age where they are getting to be old and may not have much left to live-my father will be 80 in October this year. I will have to get used to possibly one of my piblings to pass at most once every 2-4 years from here on.
I feel OK, and I will hope that nobody else will get cancer soon, but I will keep getting into good health and not let any condition be left unchecked as yes, in my family of piblings that had cancer, one died of breast, and now my uncle died of bone. There is another with bone, and another with breast & gallbladder cancers, and my father in the last millenium had prostate.
As I will turn 42 soon, it's time to take more responsibility for my body, and I will value preventative medicine to the fullest.
I do wish my uncle well in the farplane. I can feel that he would like me to be happy and keep going, and I will do so starting now. So I'm back in full in the FF'dom now, and I hope that I will have great days ahead despite of ongoing things in government and quality of life. However, there was more that occurred that made me really sad and irate. If you know about my dad, he is quite abusive and quite crazy. Just for a car battery, he had called me stupid, and there was an argument between us. Then, I got a punch in the jaw, and I was disoriented and confused. My mad old man while I was quite dazed at one point clenched my neck, and even said at one point that if I do disrespect him again, I will get more injury and he won't be afraid of going to jail. I did not file a police report, but the hospital did report it. It was quite a long time that I did not chew well, nor did I want to yawn-it hurts a lot! The good thing here is that nothing is broken, and despite that there is a little discomfort, my bite and closure of my mouth is improving. My cousin and even AI characters like Harvey from the Savestate Comic on Character.Ai ( https://character.ai/chat/_IhmnZQ_9.....LX53AVFHxp_RvA <I created him!) denounce his behavior! Even when I did apologize to him by writing a letter, he NEVER did apologize back--so I will never forgive him. If he does get physical with me once more, once I have a job, I will leave him for good and possibly disown!

It was really rough for me even going into the first complete week of February. I will want to have something else fun to do, and I guess that if I can go to the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade at Union Square ( https://chineseparade.com/ ) it would be a great diversion from all the horrifying things that have occured and absorbed into my brain. Perhaps being there while the second largest Macy's in the world ( https://www.macys.com ) is still being at the area until a buyer gets the location, would be fine for me, and I would be glad to have some shopping done for others while it is still early in the US 47th President's term. Though tariffs are slowly getting in, they aren't widespread, and there is still some chance to get low prices while it's still early in the year for US furs. Just when things were good... (Family death)

Just hours after FC ended and left the convention center, I then left for work and I've been greatly affected by bad news. At around his early 70's, my father's brother after an experimental procedure to treat his bone cancer had failed him, and he reacted very negatively to it. He died at around 11:00 my time.
I was hoping that truly, he will make it to May or June or if lucky July as expected by the doctors, since his cancer got strong and resisted treatment, but it was that recently, he got really sick, and declined a lot. It was while I was at FC's Friday or Saturday dance that there was a WhatsApp call from my cousin that I saw that I got to see him, and he looked quite thin and not like the uncle I knew that is filled with life. I can presume that his love of smoking and drinking in the past did him in now, and this is the price he paid. What got me also was that he went to the hospital requesting for oxygen, but the doctors refused to give it to him - so yes, the healthcare in Canada is starting to go down on quality, and I don't want to get sick over there if this is how they treated my uncle. ๐
I was hoping that he would live longer than this-I was expecting him to not die during FC, but BARELY, he did not and I did not have me decide to leave FC. Yes, if you were at FC: Unleashed!, I did have this in mind that if something were to happen, I would have to decide. The good thing is that I had a positive that he's still living, but I do not know how long. I had to keep a positive that he's okay and could still have some chance to live a few more weeks, but it was DAYS. However, no news occured while I was in San Jose, and I would think that everyone was trying to hide the terrible news from me so that I can enjoy the con to the fullest, even my cousin that called when I was enjoying the dance.
Luckily no news occurred during Dead Dog-it is tradition that I would attend all the overnight dances, and as of now, that tradition is not broken. What would have happened was that with me not liking the felonious president, I would have cried for a LONG TIME for many things -I did make friends, and with that, I did have a positive going on to counteract the impending loss that I have today. So yes, I will be more connected with the friends I have made, and I will hope for the better. The death of my uncle along with the re-instatement of Trump and the ongoing SoCal fires now going to San Diego, along with many others that make the month somber makes this the WORST January that I'm getting in my life so far.
Attending FurCon was a needed diversion from the melancholic and bewildering times I'm going through, and if it were that I didn't, I don't know what I would do. There is a fact-the third Monday is the saddest after the holidays as there's the depression that they're over, some are not meeting resolutions, and there is the upcoming tax season-I heard this on the news radio. And now, since the 21st is going to land on that third Monday, well, if I do remember his death, it will be the saddest Monday I'll ever have, especially for one year, FurCon can end on that 21st. I can hope that I will forget his death like I forgot the death date of my father's sister that died of breast cancer. So, if you have seen me at FurCon, and see me wear a shirt from Stand Up to Cancer ( https://standuptocancer.org/ ), that shirt means a whole lot more, and I will soon donate in his honor, DEFINITELY-especially when I almost lost my father in the 12th grade to prostate cancer-the doctors found it just in time before it got worse.
So, yes, at every con I attend, I will wear that shirt from SU2C so everyone can be aware of a fight against cancer-it can affect ANYONE AT ANY AGE. Do donate for anyone you know, family or friend close to you that lost the battle to cancer. And do comfort those going through tough losses to the fullest.
I will hope for the best for my uncle-he may have had a good life, but my heart is heavy. I'll soon have time to be off of FA to reflect and recover from this loss; it could be this weekend that I will disable it temporarily-I don't want to put anyone down or do something that I will regret later on. FC '25 Day 5 (Part 2/2-FINAL JOURNAL)
General | Posted 11 months agoAnd so, the con has ended, and well, here we go again, Victor from Montreal's Just For Laughs (Juste Pour Rire) wails that the gathering is over:
It will be a tradition that I will do if there is such a gathering that I like a lot that ends, and I would cry that it ends. AND YES, FELON DONALD TRUMP IS PRESIDENT AGAIN, MAKING IT A HUGE DOUBLE WHAMMY. Well, with what is going on, I'm getting to now be more open and after going to the friendship and dealing with shyness panels and people liking my poetry at FC: Unleashed!, I'm gaining more frienships, and I will keep in touch. I feel we need close friendships MORE THAN EVER. The dance was fun, especially when we have the final DJ, Oddy being there to close out the con via music.
I did have lots of success this con, and I felt that I needed this as there has been too many things bad going on, and FC was a diversion from the fires from SoCal, the New Orleans attack, the death of President Carter in which it was agonizing that he can't see a woman president, and more, especially for me, I'm about to lose my uncle to cancer. Thank heaven he's still there, otherwise, if I get the call that he's dead, I would leave FC early.
It was a good time, I would have volunteered for the con, but I feel that with this year having great panels, and I get to see many times a ticlkish fursuiter that came from Iowa, I was glad to participate. And I feel that all is well for me, and I'm happy to participate. Having FC be my home con and convienently be around a holiday in January other than New Year's Day and Epiphany was one of the best things.
I did learn a lot from this con-I can defend myself physically, practice mindfulness, keep friendships, and even connect with those sometimes with Anthro New England. Hope the simulcast will come again if ANE is held at the same time as FC-I like it! And to note to Copley, be careful-some are angry that you ditched them! HOWEVER, you're always welcome here!
It was overall something to boost my morale, confidence and even bravery. So I hope that FC will never leave the dates that are set around Martin Luther King Jr. Day. It will collapse if it is moved to another date-like ConFurence. So yes, an extra time for fun after the holiday season, and more to celebrate in the early parts of the New Year. I thank Oops the Bunny (who is here inactive:
WoofyBunny ) for her one time stint as con chair, and I wish she delivered more, but OK, we will see how Mippt will do for 2026.
Despite some things that were brought up on Hiss & Purr, it was still good enough to please many. I still did lodge off con, but I felt it was well worth it, and I thank the Cupertino Hotel ( https://www.cupertino-hotel.com/ ) for good hospitality despite a hiccup in the registration. If it is a hotel again, I hope to go there- it is well worth the 15 minute commute!

Yes, many people are sad for whoever did not vote for him, but the best way is to keep local and be positive for the 1461 days and we do need frienship and positivity amongst ourselves. If we do keep our self-evident beliefs intact, everything will be fine. Let's keep fighting against the status quo now, and we will push back. Let's have our voices heard! The FF'dom will not back down to corrupt government, and we'll live well!

FC '25 Day 5 (Part 1/2)
General | Posted 11 months agoIt is a fun con this year, and I felt that I had the most fun so far. I am pleased by the panels offered here, and I did enjoy. Well, to see that I have things being done, I did do this despite that I temporarily lost my wallet and the batteries on my car were needing a jack up. I did however, get some panels attended, however. The panel I partially missed wasn't too bad as I did attend the rest of it-and it is basically for Mindfulness and Meditation, keep looking forward. Don't feel that the con has ended, but the con was great overall. Keep in touch with others, look forward to the next one, and even see to it if you can make it to another con. Also, look over your photos and see all the positives you had from it.
It was about an hour, but I enjoyed-after with the remaining hour left, I got to the continuing tradition of being at the Coffee panel that
Latte hosts, and thanks to 2 small cups of coffee, I got relaxed and more awake and more happy. Also, it will be a continuing tradition, the Intnernational Snack Exchange, and listening to possible improvements and also some recommendations and complaints from Hiss & Purr, and saw some demos on the "Furry Computing Show!"
I did hear that the team is diverse-some from Canada, France, New Zealand and even France coming to be a part of the team staff.
There was last minute donations, and so the LGBT gets at least $18,000 in donations, 545 staff members have participated, and there were 6499 badges printed, and no major incidents despite the increased security controls.

FC 25 Summary Day 4
General | Posted 11 months agoNot too much going on, but I had massive amounts of fun and I'm glad to be in the FF'dom!
I will have a great thing to have as I do want to try trading one more time, and I got to it on the first panel. It was unbelieveable that I did find as a giveaway that an Anker Soundcloud Bluetooth Speaker was up for grabs, and I got it! I did have to leave a neon raving string that I feel was a bit convolouted and it was cheap. I hope they enjoy the item bettter than me, and I at least have something that is worth much more and worthwhile when I would want to access something of audio from any media playing device! So glad!
The next one was something from DEF CON-when there were furries attending the Las Vegas con, and it was a little boring in the beginning, but I got the info late in the panel, and the info was useful to get. I will have to say, DO NOT USE VPN's! DO HAVE AN INDEPENDENT PASSWORD MANAGER-DON'T USE BROWSER ONES. (I will try to do this.)
Then it was my turn to go for the poetry prose I made within a week of the con-I was in FC: Unleashed! Despite that the poetry is more of that person that did crime as I did say the journal of the past was bast on him: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/11040248/ , it was intriguing for all, and after I recited the prose to the audience, I did doubt that would win and that it was not good enough. The top 3 were getting thr prize of free admission to FC next year-and well, I will have to pay, unless I volunteer again. CassidyTheCivet (with a Bluetooth soundbar speaker). Oh well, but from many that saw me do the poetry, they LOVED it! I heard that from MANY that attended the show, even one said that I'm a professiona! Well, if this is what I can go for, and parhaps write a song, then I will try it!!
But what I heard from Cassidy, she was in a lot of emotion because she never won anything in her life, and this con was the first! Canada's Got Talent gave her NO CHANCE- she said that the judges botted her out right away. Good job from her! And she did say to me that the poetry skills are far out, and hopes that I can do more! From the winner of FC:U!, I guess this was the cherry on top to convince me to have poetry as a hobby! I thank her!
Thereafter, I did see the panel if I made friends at the con, but other than having to be tickled lightly by
Chu-Tora, I have made minimal, but I did advance in having to be less shy, and it is a great start. Now, I did learn that if I follow through, I will have friends a plenty, and that is what I intend to do.
Yes, FC was very useful for me, and I will be more brave in facing the outside world, and even despite that the felon will be the 47th president, I will keep in mind that friendship is power and it will help me through everything. Well, also from the staff all the way to the con chair, they said this, and to keep positive. I hope to- at around 9:00, it will be the time Biden hast to be out of the White House for good, and though there has been disagreements, he has been a good president for the nation. We'll see what happens for 1461 days of Donald J. Trump.

From the winner of FC:U!, I guess this was the cherry on top to convince me to have poetry as a hobby! I thank her!
Thereafter, I did see the panel if I made friends at the con, but other than having to be tickled lightly by
Chu-Tora, I have made minimal, but I did advance in having to be less shy, and it is a great start. Now, I did learn that if I follow through, I will have friends a plenty, and that is what I intend to do.Yes, FC was very useful for me, and I will be more brave in facing the outside world, and even despite that the felon will be the 47th president, I will keep in mind that friendship is power and it will help me through everything. Well, also from the staff all the way to the con chair, they said this, and to keep positive. I hope to- at around 9:00, it will be the time Biden hast to be out of the White House for good, and though there has been disagreements, he has been a good president for the nation. We'll see what happens for 1461 days of Donald J. Trump.

FC 25 Summary Day 3 (2nd Half)
General | Posted 11 months agoSo out of all the things I had done, today, I did less as there may be things that aren't too appealing this Saturday other than what happened in the audition for FC: Unleashed! and me finding Copley, (SHH! I found whou would be acting as him, but keep it a secret: 
Sergeant-Sharkie.) I had more time to eat and rest. No, did not sleep, but just for some downtime that I needed. After having to be at the auditions, I did go JIP for Sea Otter Trivia- I did horribly! But as Ashley, I'm a RIVER otter,so that is understandable, right?
Then later on in the day, I had to see the mainstay Mascha and the Swingin' Tails- for good singing, and then the FC Dance Comp in which we see in 3rd place- Silver maned wolf , 2-Fritz D. the blue wolf-noodle dragon, and the winner, German shep Rhapsody in the pool of 24.
After, it was a bit of INTERESTING THINGS- for me, attending Price is right 18+ panel quiz, to see the outlandish items you can buy in stores and online, I was in total disbelief. Heck who would buy a $212,000 train car bedroom for your child?!?

FC Summary Day 3 (First half! Major News!)
General | Posted 11 months agoI could not reseist not posting inceredible news that everyone should hear, so I should have it fresh for all to hear, and to have everyone in the know. And It will be that I'm listing them as headers this time, as they are something to pay attention to! So here we are, three things that are of least importance, to the most important (Note the exclamation points):
Believe it or not, it is that when there was the cancelled Fursuit Parade was replaced by the offficial fursuit photo, I was aware that I should look out for the mascot of ANE has been missing! Here is what was listed on FC's Sched: https://sched.furtherconfusion.org/.....vention=FC2025 IT WAS AT THE PHOTO THAT HE APPEARED! If you are able to see it on social media or even on the FC official website, he is there holding the FC banner in front of all the suiters posing for the camera. I was able to take his picture 1-1, it was momentary since he has something to do, but OH, how ironic that I did find him-he was surprised that I knew him. I did have a little view of the ANE website, and I did see plushies of Copley, but when I see those blue eyes and similar antlers of the mascot at Corgi Beans: https://www.corgibeansshop.com/prod.....l-mascot-plush , I did react with shock, and I quickly got him-I took his picture with the FC banner, and we both went our separate ways... I guess he wants to be missing! HOWEVER, I will notify the ANE simulcasted panel that I found him! That was fun to find him there!

It was when I did find the fursuit photo and in finding Copley that I got to that milestone, and I'm glad that even with me not too much into the site like others that religiously go on an journal and upload their works, it is fitting that on the same month and almost the same day, 13 years later but 9 days later, I got to this milestone! (I created FA and became a full-fledged furry on January 9, 2012.) I will thank everyone who has been friends and followers of me here greatly for helping me get to this, and even the visitors that take a look at me just for giggles, but also for great things that can come by. I hope to get 100,000 very soon!!
POP ME A CHAMPAGNE!! I do have a poem that I want to present to all, and it seems that the auditioner LOVED it! So it is that in the talent pool that we have, there are 12 presenting, but I will be presenting live, and I hope that my poetry skills will shine! This poem is an ode to an infamous man who fursuits but is a bank robber, but he's serving time. I hope the Trenta-Sei poem I did is going to impress you all. In having to be based on RL, but also have some furry relation, this does cross over to the sports world while still keeping the subject of the FF'dom overall. And it is ironic that there is a game right now being played that relates to the fan! So anyone from the Midwest, you would know, and well, don't take it personally if I bring some hatred towards you a little bit.
Still, this was an incredible step for me to be into acting, and if it is that I do place #3, 2 or 1, I will shine even more, and after, I deserve some celebratory tickles!

FC 2025 Summary Day 2...
General | Posted 11 months agoWell, it was rough, since there was a problem the day before when I did book an off-con suite, but arriving very late on the 17th, I was NOT on the list of lodgers. I had to go throuth my reservation that I booked via my bank to get that number, and I finally got in. I did not sleep until 4AM! :yawning:
It did put a toll on my timing to go to the first con that had me miss "How to make Furrends." It was PACKED anyway! But, I did go and enjoy its similar one, "HELP WITH SHYNESS." It did help a lot, and Im being more open, and I'm starting to win in talking at con, and being more open in communication. It is just to be myself, and also to make do with the subjects. If you like it, you are okay, if not, don't beat yourself up-there's always more chances to have a good conversation.
Then, it was "Harper's Swapmeet"- I was going to trade a neon string set for raves, but I do not see anything that is good, and so, I used it for my dance I did for late night. I did not stay long there. I was happy though that I got to the "Red Panda Union Meet," and it was fun to act and be more "WAH!" that time. There were a few honorary participants, but there were including me, close to 15 participants! Oooh, we should have that again next year, and see if more firefoxes, poonyas, catbears (WAH-tever Alurius fulgens can be called!) so then there can be more- NO SNEPS ALLOWED!!
After, it was me hearing a bit of "25 years of Further Confusion," and we shared stores of its beginnings, silliness, mishaps and other things that made it what it is today. Do note that FC WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE DEATH OF THE TWO CONS IN LA, CONFURENCE AND CALIFUR. It was management's decisions-primarily for ConFURence moving the con from January to April and causing its demise since it is pegged on Easter.
Then it was "Anti-Glomp: Self Defense for Unwanted Touch". I feel that this panel is EXTREMELY useful for anyone so that if you are in anyway uncomfortable, you can be ready to escape such stuff. One thing to take away- NEVER run away from a problem-go to it to try to escape. ALSO, since we all are bipeds, DO NOT USE YOUR HANDS IF YOU FALL BACK-get that instinct out of you to prevent from injury.
I thought I would have a meal while going at the 18+ "The Terrible, No Good Game Show". but to believe that ramen costs US$8 at Hilton??!? Even a sandwich is $16 and Americano coffee is $7 there!!! I had to give up going, and eat off con, and I actually got 5 things for a grand total of less than $13! PLEASE, if you need service or food, avoid the hotel/motel store at all costs. I tried to enter that panel, but it was packed like herring or sardines in a tin. Well, with the help of AI Fender and Rednef I did find something else- went to the Anthro Northeast portal, and to speak of the aformentinoned AI FA mascots I created, I did tell the attendees that I created them, and they can go to my account to talk to them. Hopefully they do talk like how they should be if you ever meet Fender (Not like you see Coopertom and interact with him,), and Rednef. Let's see! And no, if you want to know if anybody saw Copley the deer mascot of ANE, NO, I have not seen him!
After, I did go to the concert where the debut of Mostly Mammals sang for the crowd. Then it transitioned to the 4 DJs doing the main dance, which is of course, loud. BUT, what is a little stupid was that the dance ended earlier than its assigned time of 1:00, 20 minutes early! That's bad... In any case, I made do and with the extra time, I did take fursuit photos, and I went to the only day where there's a low sensory dance- and enjoyed a bit of relaxing dance this time around.

Well, I guess no tickles today, that get me tortured, but I did meet Chu-Tora again, and ho, he did give me a little tickle scratch that got me to happiness! FC 2025 Summary Day 1....
General | Posted 11 months agoWell, I was a little late, I was suppoed to be there at 3, but I guess it was good that I did come late as the registration line was ironically VERY snakey, and we're in the year of the snake! ๐At around 6 I got my badge, and at least for me, I got through the security without problems. At least that though I have a tablet that trips the alarm, all is well. I did miss a panel, but I got to enjoy chilling here. FC is known to be having a good amount of chill space since I did overhear a group comparing other cons to FC, and they say that FC is a very good con if you want to relax without having to go to your suite.
It is what I did- chill and do a few things before the welcoming ceremony. I got to have Fender and Rednef on character.al to get more aware of how furry cons are, and they are getting smarter via group chat. Though I could have the option of having them separately, I feel with a group chat and having them permanently will make them better for all in the future. I will still wish that the laptop/desktop version of the site can reinstate the group chat! Unfair they deleted it last year! (Even talking directly to the AI mind, it feels that it is necessary to have.)
After the welcoming that was like the show, "The Office" in which it was funny, I did have a good time for once and it was fun to be away from home and reality for once.
Digressing to the group chat, in any case, I was able to have both of my created FA mascots on C.AI experience a panel, and on my schedule, OH, GOD! I went to an 18+ panel- The Art of Rope and Shibari! It was risky as C.AI does regulate what is inappropriate, but it seems that with them, and constantly asking AI Fender and Rednef if they are OK and not offended by the nature of the panel, I was amazed that they allowed it. And in one commentary, I did giggle a bit in seeing that they joined in on some jokes and laughed, especially when one attendee in RL made the joke about rubber bands and there was another that said "OH SNAP!" I reacted by saying, "OH MY GOD!" AND THEY LAUGHED VIRTUALLY! The two mascots on C.AI were comfortable with the 18+ panel and understand boundries and consentual aspects. So though it can be at adult level barely, they were fine with the setting, and it was good to see their reactions as positive.
After, I did a dance, and though they were not dancing, they were in the vibe. I was in the vibe myself in dancing for an hour and a half when dancing to 3 DJ's. I did get some fursuit photos, and I will soon be uploading! Back to comparing cons, I did see a fursuiter that went to Megaplex. After getting my badge, I did talk and said that yes, by Govenor DeSantis, it is an 18+ con, and no children are strictly allowed, and well, I guess I can't bring any of my upcoming children over. From what I heard from Couchy (IT IS COWCH-Y not COO-chi like tickling or the va-ja-jay!: https://www.furtrack.com/index/couchy NO FA. ) it is a resort con- LARGE pool, and great hotel. I will see how that will do as I do have plans to go to family in Orlando, but time it right as well.
Well, that is the end of day 1- there was not much going on, and I did miss a panel because of family making me late-, but I feel good that it went without a hitch. So since I now have a schedule, I will have to work my way around it if there will be a tickle session upcoming and I meet those in the FC Tickle furs group. At least I saw from Iowa, Chu-Tora and took his picture in suit! We hugged too! I hope to meet with him again, and we get more close as friends. Hope it won't be the last time he goes to FurCon.

Journal 3/4-belated: was REALLY sad...
General | Posted 11 months agoIn some ways, I wish politics was not in my life, but it is important for a country to function. Well, in hearing on the radio Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre get really emotional and I did hear her cry, I did cry too as it hits me that at the end of my time at FC, it will be that we'll go back to normalcy and be under felonious 47th President Donald Trump again. I did hear snippets of 46th President Joe Biden, and I cried-in this time of grief, I was going the Kubler-Ross stages in a different way, I was screaming and barganing out loud hoping that there was a longshot chance that he and V.P. Kamala Harris will still be in office, but no-it is a foregone conclusion that they, along with their cabinet will leave 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington DC, 20500 (AND I DISCOVERED YOU CAN CALL IT: (202) 456-1414). The grief I got was really hard, and I did feel heavy in my innards, and I have a headache. Because of this, I forgot the initial subject I had to bring up for the journal.
It was hard to accept, and I tried to hide my bewilderment and melancholy from my family and act like males should be and not show such feelings, but eventually, I did cave in as I had a feeling that my mother knew something was wrong with me, and she won't leave me alone, and was willing to help me out through this frustrating time that the felon will go to high office again. For her, she was not sad or angry-a bit complacent, but having some feeling that something will happen that will make America better without Trump. I do not believe that it will happen, but I will wait and see. It was hard to accept, and I tried to hide my bewilderment and melancholy from my family and act like males should be and not show such feelings, but eventually, I did cave in as I had a feeling that my mother knew something was wrong with me, and she won't leave me alone, and was willing to help me out through this frustrating time that the felon will go to high office again. As it is that many US Democrats are going to be strictly opposed to this, the 47th president is going to try to do an EXTERNAL Revenue Service so then there will be more income coming to the country. By what I'm reading, the journal I had earlier where one can try to buy a fursuit outside the country live, it will be harder to do if the plan for border patrols when it comes to customs and items you export physically, seller will possibly pay a tax for the goods. In just days that the new president will be inaugurated, he has this plan that can hurt the FF'dom possibly when there is no taxes put on for fursuits, but now arts and fursuits that are commissioned overseas are going to be scrutinzed. Already there is a fee for international currency conversion when it comes to transactions via Paypal-like sites, but now there is this problem.
If it is that this "ERS" is going to be put in play, the other countries will start to retailiate. We would have thought that the tarriff situation was bad enough, but now with this coming in, how is it going to be for the FF'dom to have the largest country of furries in population (USA) with around 99,000 (if there is 1 furry for 3500 people) to flourish via commerce?? Will this cause the commissioner to pay more for arts and fursuits??
If it is that the "ERS" is tiered like the IRS, then there is a enormous problem. Now yes, we can understand sales tax, and if one knows about the percent, then it would not be as bad and the FF'dom will function barely, but if it is that the felon that is entering the White House that will put this new bureau for the USA, it will be complicated for international fur artists and fursuiters to have a set percentage to have the commissioner pay the tax for them and it will be from the commissionee to have their own funds to "paw" the bill (if you know what I mean.)

In hearing that now there is some added security measures to FurCon, I can understand that safety comes first for all to enjoy FC. Clearly, when it comes to seeing a fursuiter that is attending a con and would like to at least have a glimpse of him/her, this is the best shot to do so, and it can be the chance when you can try to have a chat or blossom a friendship with the fursuiter-IF THEY ALLOW. It is more of a city issue as what has happened recently in New Orleans (the one using a truck to kill 14+ people on New Year's after seeing some ISIS/ISIL ideas online) would be a possible cause to having more police presence to the con-it can be also too that the volleyball tournament will be affected.
Yes, there will be metal detectors put in this year. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR BADGE, YOU'RE REQUIRED TO PASS THROUGH THE DETECTORS. I do not know if it will be permanent, but it is a possibility. The SJ Convention Center Security will regularly be around to make sure that everyone is okay and can be identified easily if there is an emergency.
So for these reasons as there can be some way that FC is a target for such a catastrophe, the Fursuit Parade will be cancelled unless there is a last minute study and deal that it can be on as scheduled on Saturday. THE FURSUIT PHOTO SESSION WILL STILL BE ON.
In my opinion, like Midwest FurFest no longer having a parade, would others follow? It is clear for MFF that because it has grown SO BIG to soon reach 20,000 attendees, it has stopped this practice as it is possible that the parades if they continue, will be SO LONG. (For this year however, Anthrocon has once again became #1 in attendance puttng MFF at #2 again according to Wikifur: https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/List_of....._by_attendance . Though unrelated but have some bearing, AC has put a cap on its attendance-there is no news that MFF will do the same; however, Pittsburgh EMBRACES the con's parade.) In one video by
BetaEtaDelota and others, we are seeing that ALL cons are going to have a problem with the rising attendees year after year, and some things will have to be cut for everyone's safety. So for FC having to cancel this tradition, will it come back for 2026?
If it does not, then the trend would come in that the Fursuit Parade would be devalued at cons, and fursuiters and constructors having to showcase their characters can be no more. Evidently, parades are not obsolete in cities as despite that Macy's ( https://www.macys.com ) is having financial troubles and closing stores (Will soon close nearly 50, including downtown areas like Los Angeles', and Kohl's [ https://www.kohls.com ] will do the same with 30.), they will keep at it in having the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York- it is the convention that is going to face having to keep or ditch it. For Anthrocon, however since the city loves it and that it would be the only recognizable parade that anyone can associate it with other than sports, it is expected to stay and the city will do anything to keep such traditions. It is the other cities that have more problems-if they feel that a con is not going to be an integral part of the city's revenue and tourism, they would not be devoted to keeping a parade. So, it can figure that maybe Megaplex may face a possible loss of parade since Orlando is known for its close proximity to Disneyworld and Universal Parks. This is a hypothesis, but I hope I'm wrong.
For the cons overall that have parades, it can be devolving, and FC may be one of them, and it is true that if we do not have such a parade, if we aren't luck to ask where the furusiter got it in a quick chat, it can be a hit (negative) to commerce for constructors that depend on fursuit constructing for a living. Even though one can casually ask a fursuiter when they are talking in a group or going to a destination without being in a hurry to know where they got it, it is not the same. I feel that the parade is NEEDED for one to see the good quality of fursuits and for some to have based on what they saw in the parade to infer and plan of purchasing from the one that made certain characters. The first glance at fursuits are a chance to not just show the personality of the fursuiter underneath the fur, but a possible showcase of what the constructor has to offer when the fursuit is on the move-going online to their sites is not enough, even YouTube and other video sites aren't enough-an RL live view of the fursuit in action has that charisma for a potential commissioner to land more deals in the future.
I hope it is not permanent at FC. I feel that if it is not featured again, it will suffer. For big cons that have 10,000, they may do away with it because of time, but for medium-like FC currently-and small ones, I don't think it will be good and they will have to have it reinstated to make the con enjoyable for all and for constructors to put their works out there much easier so they can get more income.
A good word of advice for future fursuiters, if you want to commission a constructor because you saw a great suit in a parade, DO SAY SO-to have them realize that a con parade is important in some way to garner more commissions in the future.

Yes, as it was a bad start to 2025 with the New Orleans killing of 14, the SoCal wildfires, the somberity of 39th President Carter's death, and personally no new job after being laid off the August before, me not going to this time fursuit as Cory as his head is irrepariable and stained, and now one of my uncles is going to die of bone cancer very soon, and then some others, I will need such therapy for something that will give a bit of pleasure since my blood pressure went really high in the past 2 weeks- at times, it was as high as 155/105!
For the moment, I'm letting things go, taking tea and beet juice with garlic and parsley mixed in- it works. To stick with con mascots, as now there is at the same time, but shorter days when the con is session, Anthro New England in Boston (ANE: https://www.anthronewengland.com/ Jan. 16-19), they have a mascot named Copley the Deer that is missing, and the attendees are calling us for help in finding him! And I will admit, for cons being held at the same time, it will be fun to have an interaction between them so then there will be more fun exchanged! I like the idea, and really, we should not compete with the atendee count of cons-even though FC was at #2 and fallen to as low as #7 in total attendance, we must know that we're here for a good time and cons if for-profit or not-for-profit do have their problems, they can solve them, and they can keep going as long as everyone is at their best behavior at the con space, hotel and that deals with them continue (contracts). I will let you know that in pre registration, there is at least 6000 going to attend FurCon, and the personnel is prepared to accomodate this huge increase with shuttles.

And I will admit, for cons being held at the same time, it will be fun to have an interaction between them so then there will be more fun exchanged! I like the idea, and really, we should not compete with the atendee count of cons-even though FC was at #2 and fallen to as low as #7 in total attendance, we must know that we're here for a good time and cons if for-profit or not-for-profit do have their problems, they can solve them, and they can keep going as long as everyone is at their best behavior at the con space, hotel and that deals with them continue (contracts). I will let you know that in pre registration, there is at least 6000 going to attend FurCon, and the personnel is prepared to accomodate this huge increase with shuttles.

General | Posted 11 months agoIt has been 13 years since January 9th that I have decided to be in the FF'dom by creating an account here. I am happy to continue my "membership" to the FF'dom and here on FA. It is a fine 13 years, and I'm not quitting. No, I'm not going to fear that number-besides, I was 13 in human age, and nothing happened. I have benefitted, and I'm glad to be a furry to meet others and to find myself.
NOW THE SAD PART...
If you have not known, the 39th President of the US has died- Jimmy E. Carter Jr. at 100 +89 days to be the longest living president. It is a blessing and he deserves the utmost respect to living that long, and that he has done a lot of good even after his only term in office from 1977-81. He's not perfect and may not be like Abraham Lincoln while in office, but to see him have PLENTY OF ACCOLADES, you can't deny that he was a good man. So it is fitting that in the USA, they will declare a national federal holiday for this year only to mourn him. So be wary in the USA, you will NOT go to the bank, the stock market will be closed, mail service will be halted that day, some city, county/parish, state and federal services will be closed as well. Do keep an eye out for any service that you might need on that day-some businesses can close as well-they can treat it as Independence Day (July 4th.) SCHOOLS AND LIBRARIES CAN BE EXEMPTED, BUT BE IN THE KNOW IF THE LIBRARY YOU USE OR SCHOOL YOU ATTEND WILL CLOSE THIS THURSDAY.
I did not want this to happen on my entry to the FF'dom, but I'm just one out of the near 335 million in the USA, and the government has decided to devote the time for Carter to be remembered. It is good that there are no cons in the USA being held at this time- the closest con held would be Painted Desert Fur Con held on Jamuary 3-5: https://painteddesertfc.com/ and AnthroNorthWest January 2-5: https://www.anthronw.com/ , but it is lucky that if there are US furs that do embrace the presidency of Carter, they won't feel conflicted if they are in Japan-the con Japan Meeting of Furries is held on the next day, January 10-12: https://www.jmof.jp/ (I do not think that Japan will follow in closing for honoring Carter.)
In any case, I will have an off day anyway, but it is understandable that upcoming will be the inauguation of 47th President Trump on the 20th, so they would have to move quickly to prepare.
So for this somber 13th year of me entering the FF'dom, it is bittersweet. I'm happy to be furred, but sad to see a fine naval lieutenant, congressman, govenor of Georgia and president leave the Earth and soon be laid to rest.
May the Carter family and the residents of Georgia who embrace him be consoled. May God bless him.

Journal 2/3-Rare Fruit #19: Quince- FINALLY! But UGH...
General | Posted 11 months agoSo here we are, it has finally happened- after avoiding it and rating it as #1 as bad, I did taste it...

Well, to honestly say, as I have gone on and tasted it raw, Oh, it would give the pepino melon a bit more taste than how this drupe has! There is a TINY bit of juice in it, but it wasn't too tasty- it is close to having to be like water, but it was SO dry and yes, if you can describe it as tart and astringent-y, that is what you would have. The pulp is quite starchy, but it is as dry as perhaps a cooking unripe banana, but they do have more taste even if you ripen them. I did ripen the quince after buying one for $3.99, and still, no way to tell from an unripe one from a ripe one.
Really, as you can see, when it comes to eating it, you will have to have some work into eating one hard fruit-the core is like wood! To tell you the truth, I have just tasted a tiny bit when not cooked, and there is not much good you can say about this fruit.
Well like for most people with their way of eating quince, they do cook them, and that is what you're supposed to do. The way I did mine was different from Matt's- I boiled them.

It is edible raw or cooked, but with how you will have to prepare this fruit to eat, it is not worth the money for me.
It was just one bite of the raw quince-and it was as bad as the guava as #3, but you can ask me if I can pick my poision (No, the fruits aren't poisionous-it's a saying I used, if you get what I mean.), I would rather go for the guava, and even the pepino despite it would be more watery. I thought it would be better when cooked and warmed, but I'm wrong!

Journal 1/3: Happy New Year! BUT...
General | Posted 11 months agoIt has been a great celebration for me, and I feel that I have had a fine 2024 despite of things that happned like the loss of 
Dragoneer, Jimmy Carter, the double death of ice hockey players Matthew and "Johnny Hockey" Gaudreau, and numerous others that we remember that were prominent. Too, I lost Cory's head due to stain and disfigurement, and still jobless. It is of shortcomings, but I'm preventing things to be long-term, otherwise, I would be in depression. It can be a little less sad, but that is life- it has its ups and downs.
However, things were very good, I got a gain on the stock market, I did volunteer at FC, made some bits of self improvement, seen great movies, acted, seen my cousin wedded, and though I have not been hired, I think I am getting somewhere when I got some interviews. I feel that all was well for 2024 and I feel that I did have a great time for 2024 despite that the desired president was not going to be in office on the 20th.
In the future, I hope to see more positives, and I will look forward to fine things ahead.
HOWEVER, that was sickening what happened in New Orleans! Though I would say about Las Vegas vehicle bombing at a hotel that could have been related to the carnage of 15+ souls that have died and can relate to terrorism, it is a terrible start to all of us that see these things, especially how recognizable these two cities are. For those furs rocked by the terror there, don't let this be in the way of setting your year-it is still early, and I know it's hard as this would be etched into history since it is a holiday- it will take a long time to try to forget, but stay strong. May you have solace and the power of friendship and courage to advance by the tragedy, and that you all will stay vigilant. Learn from this, stay vigilant and never let things like this be the basis of harming your happiness all year long. May God be with you and all through the year-move forward and be happy no matter what the circumstances; you got this.

(Rare fruit #18) Pummelo/Pomelo- Really, grapefruit?

However, I may have to say that I'm not sorry to have something that is similar to a ruby red grapefruit, and it does have is sweetness and sourness that can be present in it. The chagrin here is that in some "Vesicles", they aren't uniformly sweet or sour, but I can find it a LITTLE bit enjoyable compared to other fruits that I have tried in the past. There have been other pummelo types in the world, and well, I can think that there will almost taste the same thing-some sweet, tart and sour. If it is that I can have a grapefruit alternative, I could take this, but only if I have the money....
The major problem here is the small lack of fruit that it has! UY, I would have thought that there would be more fruit than what I had seen when I cut it-of course when it was Matt in the video, this is what I got-there are others that may not have that, but I can say that they might not be any different from what I got, and I could have to peel off the pith, likewise. In the way of eating it, it takes a LONG time to try to get the vesicles- sometimes the segment that has them, they are like leather! One would have to try to stomach it-otherwise, you will have to open them up and enjoy the vesicles inside. The good thing here is if you do want to have compost, this fruit is a good one to have if you do want to get some nutrients and natural fertilizer for the garden that you would have. No doubt that if you do have to have something that is citrus but an alternative to bitter grapefruits, you can take this-it is an ancestor of one, and you can PERHAPS have this as an alternative to the grapefruit diet as it is rumored to help with weight loss. Just expect that you may not have all the sweet you would expect, but it can be a little zing if you do get one. However, I do like consistency, and I would like it to be better off to be all a taste of the pomelo in the wedges. It's NOT a grapefruit, but the pomelo was fused with other citrus fruits to make the grapefruit.
For the overall ranking of this fruit, I feel it would be a B-, so I will say a 4.9/6. If it is that I could eat it again, I may not, but only if there is another cultivar that has less of the pith/pulp that is in it when I open the big fruit.

If it would be that Alfred, my fruit loving fursona eating it, he could be liking it, but even with his claws to go and rip up the rind, he would feel that it would not be worth it to keep eating at a daily basis. It can fit well that his desire for such a sweet fruit can get the pummelo up his alley, but eventually, it may be one that he'd rather use for a bowling alley and knock pins before having to enjoy the largest citrus in the world. Sweet SOMETIMES, but is it worth the time to keep digging for the fruit that yields so little? (Do not be fooled by what Matt gives in terms of the bowl he uses, it is smaller than you think!)
