General | Posted 3 years agoSimple number, but that does mean something-that is how much mutual friends I have here on FA. I thank you to those who have a watch with me watching!
I do want to use that number though- I have to clean up that new watchers list that I have on my FA. So I will be doing is that for these 20, if they have 27 mutuals in common with me and are active on FA, then it is extremely likely that I will watch back. Now yes, it will be that you may have to have a fursona, but that will not be a disadvantage, but I could steer towards that-it can be a tiebreak if you have 26 mutuals, but I will also look if you have a Twitter too, if you are following me there as well, then I will watch for sure. Don't take it personally if I do not watch back- of course, there will be times when I will want to clean out my FA watchers. If one is not active after a few years, then I will be severing the follow. However, don't be a stranger to me or on FA, I will value such friendships and I will be glad to keep in contact with you all.
So good luck to all, hope you will get picked in me following you back.

Wow, 2 years in the pandemic...
General | Posted 4 years agoYes, I almost forgot, it would be that things are getting a bit better now compared to last year and the year before. It seems that if there is careful planning from here on out, then there will be cons again. Of course, there have been some cons that were able to open up this year with restrictions and rules imposed by the organizers so that the cons can be legally held. It is clear that some locations have different situations in handling COVID, but for some that feel that they could control the original COVID, the variants Delta and Omicron, you would see in the news by now that masks are starting to be optional ONLY IF YOU ARE VACCINATED THRICE-THAT INCLUDES THE BOOSTERS SOME HAVE- (Eg., Pfizer & Moderna; I do not know about AstraZeneca.) We will have to note too that if one has the Jennsen (Johnson & Johnson) protein-based vaccine, there was news months ago that if you are the recipient of this, you CAN get the mRNA-based vaccines--if it is that you take the Moderna one, your protection will shoot up 81-fold.
For sure, there are some that are resisting being inoculated- and those are the ones that are going to prolong the pandemic despite that conditions are getting better. And I know, the developing/"Third World" countries that are highly affected are causing problems to the rest of the world, and thanks to travel, it'll be some more years until the 7.88million inhabitants of both human and FF'dom together will be safe from the virus-in recent news, China again has an outbreak of COVID again somewhere. Yeah, it was that time in 2020 when the whole world had to come to a standstill, but thanks to first responders, science, technology and history, this is not like The Bubonic Plague/The Black Death, but this is like the Spanish Flu incident, though. And it is definitely eerie that history is repeating itself that that flu outbreak is at the cusp of World War 2. OY, UKRAINE!
At least there is some control, but we're still not out of the wilderness. Once things are back to normal (well, CLOSE to normal under my standards), we can go ahead and see each other at cons, late night raves and even at furbowls if they still exist. At least Furry Fiesta will be held, but we can't let our guard down. When will the pandemic end definitely? We won't know, but let's stay optimistic. In the meantime, if you can afford it, why not have art commissions to pass the time, or learn to do some? That could cheer you up!
Anywhozle, I feel fine, and clinging on to hope. Overall, doing OK during the pandemic problem. I do have three jobs, but a little upset that the recent job with H&R Block ( https://www.hrblock.com ) is putting me under the bus and slashing my hours to do taxes. Well, I will hope that soon I will pay off my $44,000 debt from school soon, and with the help of the stock market and trying other ways to get passive income, I hope to buy a new car as well so I can go to cons in other places if it is cheaper to do so by automobile-HYBRID OR ELECTRIC PREFERABLY. GOD, THOSE PRICES FOR PETROL!
How are all of you?
NO-REALLY, WE ARE NOT OUT OF THE PANDEMIC YET!!

My rating for "Turning Red" (2022)
General | Posted 4 years agoSiskel & Ebert: Two thumbs WAY up!
Grade: A+
Former ISU rating: 6/6
I would love to say that Disney/Pixar have forever gotten my heart. It would be a blessing that with my master's in business accounting, I would LOVE to work for either Disney or even in my own backyard, Pixar. Even if it were that I was not in the FF'dom, I loved every second of the movie-I never had any down time in the movie, and I was almost laughing my butt off from 12 minutes in the movie to nearly the end. When it comes to having to see what puberty does to the body, there's lots of things happening, of course. Clearly, the fact is that girls mature earlier than boys, but for Mei Lin, it does not come at a better time to know oneself. It is clear that when one does get into the teen years, there will be times when one would like to be more grown-up and independent, and to also be adventurous. Of course, there are perks and tribulations to the teen years-an individual will have to accept what they cannot change, and also if there is a thing that does not go right, there can be ways to put that to your advantage. Here in this movie, as the theme here is "Growing Up is a Beast.", as a warm-blooded animal that is on the land is considered beast as it is nearly defined as a flightless mammal that does not have an egg surrounding it (monotremes-eg., platypus, echidna) and is connected to mom in the womb via a placenta until birth. In here, Mei Lin is ALWAYS ONE! (Humans are therians too! )
As she would then be a spirit animal for real here, it is clear that in such Oriental culture, children are expected to do well for their parents in school and be the utmost in class. It is stereotypical, but really, to include such a culture while having to deal with what would be an alter ego while at the same time enter puberty would whack the mind SOOOO much! The good thing here is to accept what you are and to eventually take it as it is to adapt to both the changes. Of course, the movie is an extreme case of trying to go through life and blending in with culture and not be deviant; well, for both Mei Lin's mom (Her name is Ming.) and her being in somewhat in a generational culture clash, it is what every child and parent will have to deal with while the child grows up, as yes, the blessing of becoming Alurius fulgens back then was good when technology was simple- now it today's world, as Ming says, "It's an inconvenience"- more like "curse!"
As there was the time when Mei Lin has to rid her firefox self at the full moon while she will have to attend a concert, it was that she did learn to accept herself the way she is, but can she control herself? Of course, there can never be a time when friends and family are needed, and for one to have a good life, both relations should be able to accept such decisions and see the good reasons why that individual chose to do it that way. Unlike that distasteful loveable purple dinosaur in American public television that existed in the 90's to the late 2000's, this movie does show that there is unconditional love in friends and family, but eventually, there will have to have love with conditions and one will have to gain such trust to get that love-something that Mei Lin will have to learn at some point. YES, to stay with trust, as puberty does make children more rebellious, it's no surprise that they will disobey their elders by at least lie to them to get what they want. This movie sets a great example on how that is, and they have to come to terms on how to be good in family and set an example to eventually become parents if they choose. For Mei Lin, let's see if she will do so for her eventual motherhood if she chooses!
Now, how is it that she will be a mother? Oy, there are things in this movie that do not make this a "G" rated movie at all-those times are gone by the wayside! (But Oh! Thank heaven, I did hear that "PAW Patrol: The Movie" IS rated "G". There is a chance that "G"-rated movies can still be made.) When I streamed the movie, very often, I would stop to cachinnate!! There have been some lightly sexual things in this movie, especially when Ming prominently brings pads to school and Mei Lin "gyrates" in front of her mom sultry-ly! And really, you will have to take a good look at this screenshot I found on Twitter- the user timed it well- but do look before it, there is some reference to the Bambi character Thumper!: https://twitter.com/TheWulfer/statu.....64473622441990 I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING AT THIS!!! (REALLY, I don't recall any RL red panda this way!!) Also, if you were to reference the movie to others, I would say that it would be like Disney's own "Brother Bear" mixed in with another Pixar movie, "Inside Out." One would believe too that the Chinese do have an innate ability to have some senses of humor, too, well, as Mei Lin does have her inner animal unleashed, she would do that, especially utilize her cuteness for the greater good! Do look on in the movie, there are more surprises to see, and Mei Lin could still have a chance to get rid of her catbear self (I won't spoil...)
To an FF'dom perspective, definitely, this is a Macro/Micro movie and it will propagate on that theme even more when you keep watching! Truly for whoever has a red panda sona (AHEM, ME.... ) they would see this as a blessing as it is EXTREMELY RARE to see one as the main animal used in the movies excluding Master Shifu in the "Kung Fu Panda" franchise. They are all cute and docile, in both captivity and in the wild, but they can have their aggression at some times-they do fight within their family or with others-(like in the movie!), and in the wild, rarely, they can like meat-so they can be predators; at one point, Mei Lin CAN show her predatory instincts as a real wah in the wild at some point in the movie-LOOK OUT!
It was a good change of scenery as most of Pixar's movies were in the USA, more often in San Francisco (Their HQ is in the small city called Emeryville-a suburb that is off the Bay Bridge.), but Toronto was a great setting as it is the most cosmopolitan city in Canada. Now to also bring symbolism to red, as Canada's flag is primarily red and white, do note what Jin (Mei's father) says about luck... (Is it why Canada is a good place for the family and the country in RL?) Yes, there is the SkyDome-it is real, but now it's called Rogers Centre (There is in the credits that they use the place under licence despite that the name has changed now-there are legal purposes in using the name.) But do look carefully, there is subtle reference to the baseball team that plays there! ( https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/ ) I know that the movie is perfect to my eyes as a real Toronto landmark was used here, but I was also expecting something to happen to the nearby CN Tower! Oh well, nothing happened to it, but it was still entertaining nonetheless. To return to Jin, stay tuned to after the credits-there is something going on to him!
Really, I agree with Rotten Tomatoes being certified fresh (95%: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/turning_red ), but only 70% like the movie?! For certain, the furry world would love it, but that is disgraceful that the "common audience" would put it that low. Forsooth, the other 30%-some who would still watch to the end-would not know what they're missing still, or they just don't have an inner child, or appallingly, they just don't like red pandas. O_o For those that like, I won't be surprised that they will see this movie again. I know so! Since Zootopia, Disney has done really well in entertaining everyone. I congratulate it and Pixar for a job that is expected to exceed their expectations-TO MAYBE GODLIKE PROPORTIONS! I should give them a LONG applause for this-truly, "Turning Red" is a MASTERPIECE. If there is a sequel to this, LET ME HAVE THE TICKETS!

I would like to have a special callout to one fur that reFURRED me to this movie months before this was released, and if I did not hear about it from him, I would not have enjoyed it, EVER.
LouieFox, like the movie in which we should value friendship, I thank you for showing the trailer and talking to me about the movie-it was worthwhile, and I value you as a great friend to me no matter what age difference we have. I owe you one! Ugh birthday... ([B] Positive-LONG)
General | Posted 4 years agoTo continue with that previous journal that I posted that showed me that I'm uncomfortable: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10148973/ , well, the thing here is that I do have to take what that article says and it is that last part to say to enjoy it and to listen to myself and accept what I feel. I had to think about this deeply and to even hear a song I had heard from one of my favorite shows, I do feel a bit happier. In this thought of being 39, I did accept that I will age, but it was me having to dwell in the past and also see the future. There is no way to see the future, but predictions can occur, too. If you want to know what the show is, it was called B Positive that I see on CBS: https://www.cbs.com/shows/b-positive/ I LOVE THE SHOW! It is the show's song that I had to think deeply on (This is Ashleigh version-the original is by Keb'Mo):
https://youtu.be/0Q8Ku9_7xQI
It is a catchy tune, no? (I will leave it to you to see the lyrics!) After hearing it over and over again, I did come to a conclusion that yes, there is in ways happiness is relative, and we will have to face the facts of life sometimes- there can be ways to have some things in your favor. After seeing that there would be nearly 300 days left in the year and 62 have passed (63 on leap years), I did come to a conclusion that I would like it as when a birthday is early in the year, you would have an advantage in having the slate be clean again, and to have things that have not worked in obtaining things and self-improvement to have a second chance. So you can get another chance at resolutions as you are in YOUR New Year. Therefore, you can still have that idea of gaining success for the year again as you will have another chance at life as you will age again. Huh, I do not know about you when you have birthdays in the middle or at the end ot the year, but yeah, for those at the end, I could figure that you will have plans for the next year set if you have my mindset. The calendar New Year would be a way to fine tune your plans. The ones in the middle? You may have a disadvantage...
Anyway, I'm introvert, and I would not really want to have such a birthday that is so showy-an example is
Schmozy on his birthday art:
Calming birthday: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32479663/
And same area, but HEART ATTACK birthday: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/32479805/ <<NO, please, not this one! If it is that the lights are off, and I get that surprise on the turn-on, I'll turn it off right away or, I'll run away! But... eh, after a while, I will appreciate.
The good thing here is that I forgot that my date is also "I Want You to Be Happy Day" in the USA according to the National Today Calendar: https://nationaltoday.com/national-want-happy-day/ and yes, you remember that time when I did do photos of these national days and I did it tickle-themed as Cory?: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30693467/ Well, if that is the case, YOU MAKE ME HAPPY-YOUR TURN! I'll go ahead and make tickles on you and hear you laugh , but you make me happy too WITHOUT TICKLING ME!
Well, I won't have the opportunities to do the other National Days since my birthday is on this year, Thursday- but wow, look at these for my birthday other than the ones I did!:
Canadian Bacon Day: https://nationaltoday.com/canadian-bacon-day/
National If Pets Have Thumbs Day: https://nationaltoday.com/national-.....ts-thumbs-day/ (Of course, you furry domesticated pets, this day is for you!)
World Wildlife Day: https://nationaltoday.com/world-wildlife-day/ (This would be for the wild furries.)
33 Flavors (of ice cream) Day: https://nationaltoday.com/33-flavors-day/ (YUM!)
Japan Dolls Festival: https://nationaltoday.com/japan-dolls-festival/
Peach Blossom Day: https://nationaltoday.com/peach-blossom-day/
National Hospitalist Day: https://nationaltoday.com/national-.....spitalist-day/ (This would be a bit personal as I was a volunteer receptionist and discharger for a hospital until it closed down-I liked what I did. I still have my old uniform, and I would be glad to wear that for this day while I fursuit!)
World Hearing Day: https://nationaltoday.com/world-hearing-day/ (This is also personal as I have tinnitus, and I value my ears. And I do have to wear earmuffs and plugs when I go to raves. AGH, the buzzing in my left ear is SO UNBEARABLE!! )
So I have figured it out- thanks to that article and the B Positive theme song, there can be a silver lining to me being born early in the year, and it is good to listen to yourself and have at it to say that you have a day that is valuable to you-you just accept that there are things you can't control and there is a solution. Let go of the past, and nobody is perfect.
The wish I'd like here is YES, THE TINNITUS TO BE GONE, but I'd be happy to get a bonsai tree-it would be feng shui for my room. In any case, I'll be happy for any arts you will give me. Thanks so much.
So here I am getting my head out of my ass like the B Positive song and it's my prerogative to be positive that I have aged again and did not die! To think I did wish to be born the next year, but on February 29th so then I will not have my birthday celebrated...
Ahead of time, thanks for the birthday wishes. If you have read this, let me know by your responses-you may get something from me in the future! (Don't lie!)

FUROAR SUITS IS IN TROUBLE.
General | Posted 4 years agoIf you know this fursuit maker, it is headquartered in Odessa, Ukraine. Of course, with what is going on right now between Russia and the company's country, it is in utter chaos as Russia is bombarding the country and in droves, Ukrainians are doing their best in fleeing the country as it is being attacked from the air, land and even the sea.
After looking at his Twitter as it is the most active platform he has, he says that he has left Odessa and is in the western city of Lviv. He is trying to leave his country, but his heart is in his homeland and he does not want to, and he does not want to leave his creations alone-very likely, they will be damaged in the firefight. I could tell you that if you have any commission with him, please understand the trouble he is going through, and if it is his best interest to abandon them to save his life, PLEASE do not ever bash him. Of course at this time, his commission window is closed, but we are hoping that it will not stay closed forever and that he will still have some place to do his fursuiting business.
In my opinion, this war that Putin started is senseless. Unlike the USA going to Iraq due to a ruler who had done some despotic tyranny on his own people for a "Regime change," I feel that for Ukraine's government despite that it is not perfect, it was going to organize itself successfully soon, but it was Russia fearing that if it were developed and organized, they would join NATO and would like to not let it join to quell any threat towards Motherland. I feel that the Kremlin is paranoid and wants to take matters in their own hands. I can be hypocritical, but truly, the USA would be the "World Policeman" for the Middle East, but for what is going on now, Russia is trying to CONQUER BY FORCE AND ACCRETE UKRAINE.
As if there is no individuality in the countries that are former Soviets soon! I will fear that if it keeps up, it may not be the last of such attempts to have Russia become what it is before First World War-highly unlikely, but watch for Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland.
To return to Furoar, there is no FA for the company,* but if you go to the site, there are many other social media platforms he's on, including Russian-based Vkontakte (VK):
HE HAS SAID THAT HE NEEDS FINANCIAL HELP ON TWITTER AND VK. If you do message him and does want to have some funds so to get his necessities and to have the possibility to go to Poland by ground transport or to fly out from Lviv Airport, don't hesitate to just give him a US dollar if you can. By what you see in his website as examples (he has more on his Trello-go to his main page and under TOS, Click on "Queue".), he is very talented. We cant lose such talent in fursuit making. Please pray for Furoar that he will be OK, and pray that this crazy conflict will miraculously end in days without Ukraine permanently under the Kremlin.

General | Posted 4 years agoSiskel & Ebert: Two thumbs up
Grade: B+
Rating on former ISU scale: 5.6/6.0
To tell you the truth, if you aren't in the FF'dom, you would not have that much liking of the main character. To put it this way, if you have seen the trailers on Rotten Tomatoes: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/so....._hedgehog_2020 , you would be happy to have some funny refernces to stars and some shows that this blue quilled pricker that contains an extreme amount of energy to break the sound barrier. If you have ever seen the movie Over the Hedge, there is that scene near the end where Hammy the Squirrel is like Sonic and everything virtually stands still while he moves to do things after drinking an energy drink-for this movie as this is live action, it would be unbelievable that Sonic would be able to move things compared to the animated OtH. Those two scenes in the movie would be more tantalizing than if it were animated as we could wonder HOW the animation and live action would do such scenes!
The protagonist spikeball does seem to amaze us if we have ever played any Sega console games before 2000 (now he can be seen with license on any video game console through the company, SegaSammy- https://www.segasammy.co.jp/ [Japanese- you can click for the English version there.]). OF course, to have him digitally made and to see him with green eyes instead of the solid black would make him cuter to me, and in all possible ways, him being integrated into the real world in the big screen does have me intrigued on what can happen as he would have to find a way to adapt to the city. Of course, despite in RL, the rural/small town Montana place is fictional (It was actually recorded in Ladysmith, British Columbia-not far from Vancouver.), Sonic would have to very soon be seeing many types of living conditions. Yes, he has been living in nature, so Montana would be a fine place for Sonic to live free and to reduce bumping into things accidentally.
It was nice to see the backstory, as I remember, if we did play the first Sonic game on the console, we never see how he came to be- of course, there has been cartoons, but for those who are seeing it for the first time, or just played the games but never watched the cartoons, we have seen how he was able to have such power as he is of course, an alien. (But how did he get it? It is still a mystery....) Heck, as he is a furry, it is natural that humans will have to scream or faint of his existence- yes, those screams, even from Dr. Robotnik were funny, especially when you see their wide eyes and mouths!!
It is interesting, Sonic befriending Tom-if any of you are living as a loner you would see such pressure it is to enjoy company and to have friends. IT IS TOTATLLY DIFFERENT FROM BEING AN INTROVERT-SONIC IS NOT THAT WAY-HE'S MORE IN BETWEEN THAT AND EXTROVERT. Of course having to be like a hermit and not get noticed is hard- and it does lead to consequences good and bad- Sonic does have friends, but does have an archenemy now-like the other movie, The Social Network, there is the tagline, "You don't get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies"-at some point in the movie, Sonic makes more friends when he meets his archenemy.
Once you would see that this talkative animal whose Greek genus name is possibly Erinaceus, Hemiechinus, or Hemiechinus is in San Francisco, I would have had expected him to go by the U.S. HQ of Sega, but it was all downtown, unfortunately. However, it was good that the noticeable TransAmerica Pyramid was used in the movie and not the tallest building, the Salesforce Tower. Me living in the SF Bay Area, the majority of the scenes were in the North of Market neighborhood-the northeastern part of the amalgamated city and county of SF.
And OH!, the puns and references to movies, stars and other pop culture within the movie were funny! BUT, get ready for the next one as there is a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (see my previous journal for the video: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10067936/ -do look at the very end even when the credits start- Tails appears, and he's in the sequel!
Comedian Ben Schwartz was perfect as the voice of Sonic, and I was totally satisfied by the cast-clearly as Jim Carrey is Robotnik, it was natural to have him be the antagonist since he did play The Riddler in Batman Forever. I will admit that I have not heard of James Marsden as the shows I watch were not interesting to me, nor the movies he starred also. So this was a chance for him to shine in front of me, and I do have positive feelings towards him-I feel that the sequel that he will star in will be great as well!
Overall, the movie was totally in tune to what one could expect if one plays the game as Robotnik directly does attack Sonic at the end of a world, and at the very end, he defeats Robotnik to have him retreat or in the movie, by force. Biologically, we do expect RL hedgehogs to live in dens, and it was good to see that the producers, writers and researchers looked at hedgehogs carefully in RL and have Sonic truly be living like them, but of course, he's furry so he SHOULD have some items that are man-made, at first! (I do not know if they have some exposure to the FF'dom, but I will likely guess that the cartoons of the past of him would have his first home [HINT] be that way...) So, to sum it up, this film despite of having it lower than expected on Rotten Tomatoes by the Critics as more of a "D" grade, is obviously a great one to watch-I do not know what is in those critics' heads!
And a last thing, I know for some who have attended schools in the US intercollegiate Atlantic Coast Conference ( https://www.theacc.com )-especially from North Carolina-I'm sure that it could irk you every time Sonic is referred to as a blue devil. It would be a total surprise if he does eventually become a mascot of the school in Durham, NC, Duke University. (https://www.duke.edu/ <academic/athletic> https://goduke.com/ ) In the movie, Sonic did say he has never gone to school- will he go and perhaps attend this one if that old man gives him that moniker? We'll see if that would happen if the sequel allows!... (Then, he would learn to use a compass and understand the history of navigation and transportation to basically go ANYWHERE in the world-like that scene when Tom forced Sonic out and had to go alone! He would not have ended up wet and have seaweed and fish on him!)
If you have not seen the movie, you should-you won't be disappointed.

Next con I'll go to after pandemic is....
General | Posted 4 years agoIt did dawn on me that I would want to go show my family other than my elder ones-my cousins would be more understanding and, they are the most likely to take jokes and have a kid in them. They are starting to leave their parents, and I do see that some are plentiful in a Southeastern US city that I'd like to go to again and see more of. It was when I was driving that I decided that this time, I won't use https://www.wheeldecide.com to see where I should go to my next con outside of the San Francisco-Oakland-San José-Sacramento-Monterey megapolis. It dawned on me that it was time to go to a place where I could meet other furs in a large convention that did top FC recently before the pandemic in terms of attendees. I did visit this place once, and I was pleased to see it after a LONG wait for a connecting flight when I was attending I did ride the rapid transit that is quite unpopular in the area, and did see the central station that is filled with life-"Five Points". And eventually, the headquarters of CNN. Also, it was nice at one point to see from the train the cauldron used for the 1996 Olympics in the distance. Well, you have an idea where these places are, especially when the commuter train is called MARTA? ( https://www.itsmarta.com ) Yep, it's Atlanta!
I may stay a bit longer for a reason-not just for the con, but I do have a house that my parents own and are renting, and therefore I will want to investigate it and see if it is still looking decent for renting. Also, it would be quite OK for me to easily get to Hartsfeld-Jackson Int'l Airport as it is the busiest in the western hemisphere, and Delta Airlines ( https://www.delta.com ) has its main hub there. I will see to it that I could share a room with another fur at an at-con hotel, otherwise, I can always do a commute to the conspace from my cousins' houses provided that they let me lodge and that I can get a rental car. I have two cousins there, but there will be a third one moving to Atlanta as well. One is a mother, so I do hope that the other two aren't having children so it will be easier if I do attend the overnight dances that I will not disturb anyone or that they do not mind me coming in late. The good thing though is that the mother is a flight attendant, so it is a stipend that she gets hotel as part of her work. BUT IF IT IS THAT SHE CAN GET IN THE WESTIN...
So now, that is my decision- FWA is going to be my con that I will attend one time, and it will be added to this list that is in order of me attending first:
1: AnthrOhio- http://anthrohio.org/
2: Midwest FurFest- https://www.furfest.org/
3: Blue Ridge FurFare- https://www.blueridgefurfare.com/
4: Furry Weekend Atlanta- https://www.furryweekend.com/
Once the pandemic is officially over in MANY places in the USA and Canada, then I will be willing to go to more than one con. Yes, if you live in the Midwestern and Souteast USA, you will have two chances to see me there, and I will get my fursuit over! Yes, AnthrOhio will still be the first con I will attend, UNLESS it gets disbanded, then MWFF will take its place and I will have to find another con to attend right away. So guys, hope you see me as a good fur to your eyes at these cons, and I promise to not be a party pooper to you. See you soon in Columbus, Chicago, Asheville NC and Atlanta!

Dorian Electra-"My Agenda" (Which fursuiters starred?)
General | Posted 4 years agoOH! November 4th we have a music video that includes fursuiters!:
Although, this is music that would go towards the LGBTQIA community, I find this song quite good. It would be soon a bit more commonplace to have these furs in music videos as there was
2jz-ftw (Dat Blue Husky) that was in a music video about fetishes: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8295176/, but I could guess that the music vid that Dorian Electra did is quite hardcore for the LGBTQIA. Do note that Dorian Electra would include frogs, as there has been the related "Gay Frogs" song and the congressman bringing it up-it is not the only song he has put these amphibians up-"Ram it Down" is another example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxkhwJCoq84
I would say that this song had a lot to budget for to get fursuiters on the video, but I would fear that this song will not be on the radiowaves anytime soon as it has a lot of suggested homosexuality in the lyrics. Still good though.
Do any of you know of the fursuiters that starred in the music video? Let me know so I could congratulate them on being onsuch a video and getting at least 15 seconds of fame!

Would you be boxing against a gorilla?! (Wii's "Punch-Out...
General | Posted 4 years agoWell, it's past its time. but if there is any way to get the Nintendo Switch to play Wii games, I'd be happy to play after a LONG absence from playing video games- haven't played since 2007 actively.
I have had some fighting games, but never in boxing. This does not include me playing such RPG games-it is more of boxing like Mike Tyson. If I do get into it, would I really want to be in the ring with a fun, cute character?! Here we have in one of the latest boxing games, "Punch Out!!" that Nintendo does, and this is the 6th out of 7 installments- though there was another after its release, I say the last one to physically purchase-the other titled, "Doc Louis's Punch-Out!!" is on WiiWare. Now, there is an unlockable character in the Wii game-Donkey Kong.
If fighting is what you want, you can understand having Super Smash Bros., BUT HERE?!?! To me, with how he looks and the personality of him as playful, this would NOT be a character to unlock if you love him! Oy, how he smiles-it's contagious!:
Of course, you may have seen it before, but how would you feel if DK is considered your enemy now?? For me, I'd gladly LET HIM WIN! (Now for the foot/paw lovers, look at 3:44 and 3:55 in the vid... )
Do note too that there have been arts of DK boxing:
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/13734341/

https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42904808/

Really, I feel that I'd WANT TO PLAY HIM in Punch-Out!! It feels wrong that if I were playing, despite he's the bad guy in the first game he'd face Mario, he since the SNES' game of Donkey Kong Country, is a protagonist and that I'd be hurting and KO'ing a good guy; esp. when he would act docile at times... That's so wrong...
Instead, I'd GLEEFULLY get his autograph like he said in 1:56!

Instead, I'd GLEEFULLY get his autograph like he said in 1:56!
Who's open for badges? I have a font you can use...
General | Posted 4 years agoAfter seeing a commercial of a company that is in the holiday spirit, I feel that the distinctive logo should be used in an upcoming badge. I do have both Alfred and Cory, but now that I have my newest fursona, Ashley the otter, I would like to have him get the spotlight. If you have been shopping in the USA, you would be likely in most locations would be in a store that is known for discounts, and it is a SF Bay Area company with its headquarters in the suburb, Dublin-Ross Stores "Dress For Less": https://www.rossstores.com .
Look carefully at the font when you visit-it is hard to find this unless you go to an offbeat font site. For Ashley, I would be glad to have such a badge with this font, and I would be glad to have him as a half body, happy otter. Bonus points if there is his back side, and you can make a mirror image of his name on the other side. If you are interested, I could spend at most, $45 for the art.
Now hopefully, as there is the regulation that if one uses a trademarked font, you would have to buy from the maker, but I think it is unlikely that this will happen as this is a single time that you will use the font, and I feel that as long as you do not post on a heavily accessible site like Twitter or Facebook, I feel that you're fine.
NOW, if you're able, I did find it on a site called https://www.ffonts.net -if you like my idea, do note me soon here or on my Twitter page. Here is the site below for the font:
Hope you like my idea- thank you.

Returned to FA fully-those "bugs" are starting to be gone
General | Posted 4 years agoI do feel that I can end mourning for my aunt who died of ALS, and so I can return to FA fully. ALTHOUGH, as I am devout Roman Catholic and we are in a new month now, November is considered to be the month of the dead, so you can say that Halloween would be a preparation for this month as one would lose someone-fitting as there is on the first, All Saints Day; second, All Souls Day; eleventh, Veterans' Day/Remembrance Day; and 25th is Thanksgiving in the USA. All those holidays, they are honoring the ones who have passed, and though US Thanksgiving is more of community for those that are present, there would be some aspect to thanking the ones that are in another place. So for an American Catholic like me, after losing 2 relatives, I will think about the good things those two have done for my family before the month of holidays before their death.
To stay on the topic of my aunt, yes, I was sad, and I did have a time to be away from most social media. I did however got active on Twitter, but I would be at a lower tone. Of course, I was able to go to Montréal to attend the funeral of my aunt. While there, I did feel like home in the city of Brossard, QC. There were a lot of changes since I last visited-there is the new Samuel de Champlain Bridge: https://www.pontsamueldechamplain.ca/ (in Français, but it is also in English.), and the Métro ( https://www.stm.info/en ) will soon be in the suburb. I was shocked to see that there was STILL Toys "R" Us, but yes, this is Canada ( https://www.toysrus.ca/en/home )! I did have a good Canada Thanksgiving for the first time in a LONG time (Oct. 11), but it is also my cousin's birthday. Win-Win, huh? I did feel so sad when I saw an episode of "The Neighborhood" on CBS digital feed that I got from Vermont ( https://www.cbs.com/shows/the-neighborhood/ It is on WCAX 3 Burlington: https://www.wcax.com/ )-the one titled, "Welcome to the Porch Pirate", episode 4 in the season where the Butlers grieve with the Johnsons about the miscarriage and sang "Gone too soon." (This was originally sung by Michael Jackson.) With the death that I had, this pained me when I heard the song and I cried badly. I needed comfort, and my uncle's wife that was there did rub my shoulders and hugged me with sorrow. Currently my aunt is in a box of stone colored violet/purple-I was glad in this aspect that she was cremated-if she were in a coffin, I would be sadder because she would be with the worms and in the future she would not look good at all if she were unearthed, and I would be likely to see her grave. Too, her bod was looking terrible due to ALS, and it was better if NOBODY outside her immediate family could see it at all. Once COVID ends, her daughters and husband will soon throw her ashes into the sea in New Jersey's shores as it were her wish to be in the sea. I won't be there for it, but I feel that the final farewell at the funeral was enough for me to give her respects.
Yes, I was able to see my cousin Kevin who goes by the name Kaytranada! He was with his brother, Louis-Philippe (Louis Philips) as well- saw them twice, and we had a good time. Though I was surprised that before I went, I did hear from the cousins on my MOTHER'S side of the family that he and L-P go to San Francisco often! So very soon, if they are going to perform, I will be there once I find the address of where the night club, theatre or even studio they are in. I was lucky too to stop by their mother's house, and saw that Kaytra has those awards stored-YES, I HELD HIS 2 GRAMMIES! They were quite heavy, and shiny too- they stand out from the other awards that he got within Canada, US and even in Great Britain! Yep, I'd be glad to see him perform, and mutually get his music. The thing I hope for is if he does venture in other performing arts, I hope he can get an Oscar, Tony and Emmy and have the EGOT status like John Legend got.
I then lost in stocks $7000 in stocks, but I'm holding. I did have as an inheritance, $50k though, but that will be in a retirement account, thanks to my mom.
Well, it was a bit sad from here on, my dad got drunk and was shouting at me for lots of things- ON HIS BIRTHDAY. It was one of these times that I feel that enough is enough with my very short-fused dad as he cannot feel my feelings, he does not understand things sometimes, and he gets mad easier. I'm preparing to move away from him to get my own life, but I will have to have an easy, but slow transition-he should not realize right away that I'm leaving. I did talk to my cousin about this, and it was the best thing to do, and I will see a psychologist about this because I was REALLY depressed after that man made me sad and even embarrassed about his actions.
My car with 116K miles has a blown gasket, but I hope that it will be fixed soon,. Well, with the gas prices now up to $5/gallon here in the USA, I will have to start shopping for a new car after I pay off my student loans, this time it will have to be a hybrid at least, but I will hope to go for a 100% electric.
Of course, from the earlier journals recently, I did have that near-life changing injury in the eye area, but I did discover that despite some occasional eye pain, if it were that the projectile were lower by a 1/4 inch, I would have lost it. Thank God that He protected me! Despite that I can't really raise my eyebrow without pain as there is as of now, still inflamed tissue and I need to put compresses to have it heal and to get the blood out of the space between the conjunctiva and sclera, my vision is fine, and I will be back to normal soon.
Lastly, these bugs that are making me go crazy-it is happening in MANY places here in the area! Since it is raining and getting cooler, they are getting less and less. These things were looking for water, and I am feeling that the are not dust mites. If they were to bite, they would have left a welt or rash on the skin after a few minutes due to histamine reacting to what was left. But I see none, and it should be perhaps a spore or even a tiny seed. However by my neighbor who has been through this before said that DEET would be the best way to go to get them away. I did listen and it has helped a bit, but alcohol and Lysol help a lot as well. It is to not let the windows open when it is summer from here on to not let these things in again. I would have to see if we can get an air conditioning system to limit their entry but keep ourselves cool. I will hope that climate change is not the cause and the fires from other places in CA are causing these things. Otherwise...
Anyway, you're up to date with me- I'm OK now. Though these "bugs" are still there, I think I could be back on FA more again. It will have to be when they're completely gone that I will devote my free time to FA more than TV, cleaning and even studying to be a tax preparer for the next year. So hope you stay safe, happy, kind and productive, y'all. I wish you happy November! (And no, not the wolf named
November.)

Derjinzo.Journal 2/2: My rating for "Free Guy"
General | Posted 4 years agoSiskel & Ebert: Two thumbs up-WAY UP!
Former IOC figure skating rating (6.0 scale): 5.9
Grade: A
I will not spoil it, but really if you see it from beginning to end, you would want to play Second Life! (Or even Fortnite or many other games with characters that have a world...) Even if I did get bored at some point, there were some parts of this movie that got me to have more interest and for me to enjoy a whole lot of the movie. In some, there were a bit of profane things that make the innocent protagonist funny, and even the players who are very young say to beat one's ass.... It is true that when there is an NPC like Guy, there is an importance-he is created for a reason, and it is the truth, everyone is an individual and has their own mind, no matter what they are assigned to do-in a world that is as repetitive and in some cases, mundane, there should always be room for change. For Guy, this was a great example of this that one will have to emulate in the real world.
In some cases, one would have to imagine what a company would do to get profits and to even have the ability to use scienter to capitalize and use trickery. For the founder Antwan, he is more savage than Mark Zuckerberg when he created Facebook (Now just renamed the company-Meta, but Facebook still is there: https://about.facebook.com/meta/ )- you will see it in the movie, "The Social Network". Of course, there would have to be things that would have as a way to show easter eggs in ANY game- if it is something that is an original prototype, some creators will insert it to make it exist. That is what the problem is, and Keys and Mille were trying to stop Antwan from causing more harm. Though Mouser was more loyal to Antwan, things can change.... Of course, as Guy is not really a glitch or hack, he is clearly a disruptor to the game. Sometimes, disruptors are good in many ways, it does not have to be bad, but for Guy's case, it can be heroic.
NOW, I did have the interest of seeing Mouser as the pink rabbit, and it is funny that he brings up being high in the food chain He may have some influence from the FF'dom to see vore! It was a little disappointing as I was expecting him as his fursona to be more inclusive in the movie, but overall without the pink fursuit, it was great! Now do note at the end, you will have to connect the dots on why Mouser did pick the bunny as the temporary player in the game-it does lead to why the move ends the way it is.,... And yes, do note why Guy was created in the first place...
Oh sure, you will see some of the summary on Wikipedia, but if you do read the plot, you won't enjoy the movie so much, and that ending would have been ruined.
I would hope then that there would be more of those players like Mouser's furry in the next one as there are plans for Free Guy 2. There is no doubt that when I saw this movie, I was in lots of laughs and in some cases, good nostalgia throughout. At the point I watched the movie, I was a little uncomfortable about them bringing up "funeral" as I did lose my aunt this year. However, I could not let that get to me as it is just coincidental, and that it is just pretend.
ANYWAY, it was a good diversion from sadness and truly, an entertaining movie that is worth seeing again. I will bet you that you will watch it again, and see the next one when it comes out after the pandemic! Will it win any awards? I do hope! Go see, you won't be disappointed!

Journal 1/2: Eye getting better...
General | Posted 4 years agoI do thank you very much for caring about me few days ago when I had the horrible freak accident last Thursday. Yes, it was freaky if you saw the picture on Twitter, but I feel things are getting better, Just last Wednesday (27), the stitches have came off, and after a bit of hurtful removal of them and the dead skin (It caused my stomach to cramp when I felt them come off! ), I have a pink area below the eyebrow, and I still have what you can say, a "shiner" below it. Here's an updated pic of me if you want to see me for real: https://twitter.com/alandcory/statu.....66036702392320 So yep, you now know my real self, but I will hope to bet MUCH better in the recovery process. At least I will return to work. I do look forward to going to a con after COVID ends outside of the SF Bay Area, and I will be glad to work again with a $2/hr raise! So yep, soon, I will hope to be at an at-con hotel with this raise, and it will make my future brighter. (Well, not "shinier" if you know what I mean... )
Yep, almost lost my left eye, and I would have ended up like on Final Fantasy 7, Red XIII, but I guess a little like FF X's character, Auron. So furs, scalies and featheries, I'm OK, this was not a life-changing injury, and once the pandemic ends, I hope to see you soon!
(Next journal I'll post- a rating of a movie I saw while mourning my aunt's death.)

Back on temporarily-serious eye injury...
General | Posted 4 years agoHi there, decided to return a little early after something had happened to me. To say the bad thing right away, it was the 21st when I got struck in the eye by an old garage door lock. What happened is that the door was jammed and the door was old and clearly, it is well beyond repair. I did open for a repairman to repair a heater, but once he finished and I tried to close the door, it can't. My dad and I tried to close it for 5 hours. It was able to, but what went on was that twe removed the last caster that was in the way with a crowbar. I do not know what happened, but we did not expect the lock to pop out and shoot towards my eye. It could have been pressure on the wheel guide or that the force of the crowbar after getting the last caster to be removed to zoom from the door and strike OVER my left eye.
I was frightened, of course that I did not see well after I fell and after a few seconds I could not see, but after some help with my mom who was a former nurse, the blood was OVER the eyeball. However, I did lose some blood, and I did not eat any lunch or dinner, so if you were to see me at that time, I eventually after rushing for help, got dazed and dizzy. However, I was able to get to the emergency room right away. After going to the emergency room to get 5 or 6 stitches, I was OK, but not for long. The next day, it was swollen and my eye is up to the time I wrote this journal, has closed eyelids. I was not given anything at the time at the hospital, but for sure, I should have had a tetanus booster too. I will be looking forward to seeing my doctor again because this a little serious as I now have blood in the eyeball, but I do hope it will be OK.
Now, if you want to see how I am suffering, I did post a picture on Twitter of how I look the day before I posted this journal. It is not too bad, but I do warn on how bad it looks when you see my open right eye and the stitches and the closed eye I have: https://twitter.com/alandcory/statu.....09947285536772
YEAAAAHhhhh, a bit perfect for Halloween if I do go somewhere huh? Just being sarcastic. Well, I will not joke anymore as now things are getting a bit worse as the scelera ("the white") has turned red, and when I turned to the side, a small orange stain is on the bedsheet. I hope that I do not have to pay so much for the injury as I do have affordable insurance, but if I do have to pay like $2000 for the care, I will hope to do a gofundme for this as that would be huge burden for me-I have student loans to pay, my car has just broke down, and now I will have some days off work with no pay because of me using the sick days to pay final respects to my aunt.
I do hope things get better. I'm scared, and I would be in a A LOT of bad luck. Do keep me in your prayers and give me good vibes as I try my best to save my eye from a terrible end.
Another journal about my time away will be posted another day.
CONSIDER MYSELF LUCKY THAT THE EYEBALL WAS NOT DAMAGED!!

My rating for "Rock-a-Doodle" (1992-USA)
General | Posted 4 years agoSiskel & Ebert: Two Thumbs Up
Grade: B+
Rating as a 6.0 scale: 5.5
Another flop that is so underrated! (Its net gain worldwide was US$6.4million IN THE RED.)
What I feel is that it was a movie that did not reach 90 minutes, but was actually 77. One of Don Bluth's last works in his studios before being gone for good is unbelievably fine to see as it is lore that although at dawn, the Sun does rise without a rooster crowing, it does give significance that it will be a good day for the day. It is a little comparison to the story from Western Africa, Why Mosquitoes Buzz in People's Ears, but as it will be the good owl in that story, the antagonist in this movie is the parliament of owls! We can understand that they would thrive at night, but they can be hungry- well, as this would be one furry-themed movie that almost featured vore, it was going to be an undertaking to see if the FF'dom would have more members as this would be a cult classic.
Now definitely, we do see a transformation in which Edmond the human DOES NOT WANT TO BE FURRY! And to believe, the "naturally furry animals" in the movie did not believe him until the end, and they did accept him the way he is originally. Though he had been getting used to it at some point and was actually acting like a real cat in some bouts, he may be accustomed to it if given more time. We may imagine... Anyway, if he does have that capability to change to a cat and back, he would have a big advantage, don't you think?
The plot was good and despite that on Rotten Tomatoes that many would hate it: www.rottentomatoes.com/m/rock_a_doodle, it would seem for children to learn that there can be true friends and they will need everyone to participate in the daily lives of a place if things have to function correctly. Also, though you can find stardom and wealth, there can be times when there is something missing, and recognition and money/mammon will not always give you happiness. Like my grandmother one time, though she does not have enough money to be rich, she feels rich when she has her family that cares for her and gives her love and attention. You would feel that with family and friends that respects you, and if they feel humble and see that you're needed, that humility they exhibit and less haughtiness they show will make such relationships strong and mend broken ones too. Clearly as Chanticleer (or AKA, "King" away from the farm), would feel that he is benefiting away from the farm and in the city, there is always something you would miss when you move, and he does show it. One will have to know that when there is no job in the small town or rural parts of a country, one will tend to go to surburbia or an urban center of a city to find a better life, and that is going on in RL everywhere, and it does have some implications in developing and third world countries.
To continue, the movie would indirectly show this as there can be overpopulation in cities, and it can give more pollution in many ways, and with less needed folks in the countryside feeding the world, the 1/32 that is farmable on earth would decrease and can cause a hunger catastrophe that can happen. This movie when Chantecleer leaves and the flood comes in would show this, as the farm was nearly destroyed-one less crop to feed the world if he did not restore order to the weather and the day. If movie goers did look deeper in the premise of the movie, it would be a bit educational and we may be more aware of the problem we are having now, especially Nigeria with its extremely high rate of growth could have some problems feeding its population within its borders and its resources would diminish. (Truly, their government is corrupted too, as it does involve oil, too.)
Yeah, I did have some interest at first seeing this movie, but I did hold off and not see when I was 9. I should be kicking myself now despite of the negative press going on. I know back then when they were alive, Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert, film critics for the Chicago newspapers would put thumbs down on the movie, but I can feel that with a way to solve such a problem that would be ongoing in RL, it would be okay to the viewers now-if only they were more educated. But really, this would be a family movie that you will have to try, and though the consensus does say "UGH!" to it, you will have to judge it for yourselves if this is really a movie to shun, or to keep for years to come.
It has made bad films to the public and it closed down after many years of not having profits, but one will have to imagine in cults that these movies can be good to see if you have an open mind.

I'll return to posting fursuit pics, & FC is back!
General | Posted 4 years agoSo to go ahead and keep up so then there is more fursuits on FA and to actually update them in terms of looks, I will keep posting the pics I have taken last Further Confusion ( https://www.furtherconfusion.org/ ) held in-"furson" here. I have some left, but I hope you will enjoy. I still have a good memory of these pics, and I will put my 2 cents on how they are and what the fursuiters are doing.
It is of good news too that speaking of FC, according to their Twitter: https://twitter.com/furcon/status/1.....28028858224644 . The good thing is that with a significant amount of the population being vaccinated, it is a great thing to see that the cons are returning, and it will be soon that things will be going back to normal for the USA cons. It will be that the first US con will be Itty Bitty Fur Con ( https://www.ittybittyfurcon.com/ ) in July 17-19 this year according to Wikifur. And on the site, it is likely that the first international con would be Furtastic in Denmark for July 5-8 ( https://www.furtastic.dk/ ).
Unfortunately, Anthrocon will not make it for July 2-4 as an in-person con and will once again be virtual : https://www.anthrocon.org/news/2021.....n-2021-virtual . I know it may be for some being distraught that the con is virtual again, but keep in mind that though it is a little more than half of the USA vaccinated, still when there are international furries and furfans coming to the second largest con in the world, they may or may not be vaccinated, and there is as of now, the delta strain of Covid-19 which is more contagious. As it is just recently that some areas have reopened like California on June 15th, it will take time for cons to see if it is safe to open fully, if it is OK to have thousands of attendees to attend, and if clearly the governments from city to Federal will allow in clear view such a con to be held. There are a lot of kinks to go through, and it was too soon to have it happen, so for AC, I would guess it would be the right move to have it virtual again during Independence Day in Pittsburgh. It is for the best.
For FC, and we can say for Megaplex, BLFC, MWFF and many others being held much later this year and the next, they would be safe to hold as it should be expected that most of the USA will have their 330+million inhabitants be vaccinated. The catch here is that the cons should exhibit some way of control. As there is risk of con crud, everyone who is responsible in admitting congoers should see if they have been inoculated/immunized against Covid-19. That way it will not be that con causing a hotspot and be the cause of another wave of the pandemic that would end by then. Yes, August is just around the corner and Megaplex will be held, but they will ready themselves for pathogen control, so it could be that masks will be required, but at least "highly recommended" for those who have been inoculated. Well, for Itty Bitty Fur Con, let's see how they will do in holding their con as it is almost right away that they will hold their con after Covid restrictions have relaxed Federally; the same will go for Furtastic and the one from Singapore, Little Island FurCon: https://littleislandfur.com/ .
As there was controls for FurDu: https://twitter.com/FurDUcon/status.....97792931950594 , I will not be surprised that the other cons that will be held later will do the same thing. Provided that the countries in Africa will have a HUGE delay in getting the inoculations for Covid-likely 2023, I think masking will be here to stay until Africa is safe from the virus and the World Health Organization does declare that the pandemic is officially over.
I should not be surprised for what is coming up later in the most prolific cons in the world, but still, we should not let our guard down. I can be really happy that FC is back, and if I have enough after paying off my student loans in full, I can go to a different con in the USA or Canada provided that there, they have their Covid controls as well. (News from there, the country is worse off than the USA as vaccines are slow going, and it will take longer for Canadians to get out of their pandemic.) So although there are temperature scanners and also guards to verify if the one entering panels are really attendees, there is always that little flaw that the virus can escape barriers, but it is by luck and plenty of prevention that will limit its transmission in a con.
As California has one of the lowest rates of Covid transmission in the states and territories, it will be easier for FC, Golden State Fur Con ( https://gsfurcon.com/ It will be held on April 8-10 2022.) and Pac Anthro Weekend ( https://pacanthro.org/ More cautious, but if all goes well, Nov. 5th – 8th 2021 will be when it's held.) to have their cons in session. As things are getting brighter for my home state, I will look forward to attending my "home con" soon, but now that I'm working, I will look forward to seeing if PAW will be my con outside of FC as my first. It is a LONG time, and I miss going to cons, so going to PAW at some point will make up for the lost time!
I will see if I will book ahead of time this time, not in late December so I will have my work prepare for my absence, but they're not open just yet. In any case though, I will relive what went on in 2020 by posting those pics again. It will make me more eager to attend FC and even go to my first con outside of it! So hope you enjoy the pics, and if you're going to Furtastic or ITFC, good luck and hope that my fursuit pics will have you expect how fun it is to interact with fursuiters!

I'm preparing to move out with my mom... (rant/vent-long)
General | Posted 4 years agoIt has been starting to be a problem with my dad with my WHOLE family. If you know my father he has been a short fused person and also dangerous. He totally does not understand things that are going on in American society and is SO obsessed with me- he just does not want to let me go, and is limiting my freedom. I know at one point, I was gambling, but I'm getting to the point that I'm going to noever go again for sure and to consider that anyone can get sick there. I was able to say that close to 1 and a half years, I did not gamble. Let's relate this over to what I have now-I am hired, and usually, I go do deliveries for https://www.goodeggs.com , a grocery company. At some points, I will have to stay after when there are shortages of personnel to deliver the goods to the customers. He has been angry at me for coming late-I can be out until 10 or 11, and I have called ahead, even! And just the night before I posted this journal, he practically came down to me when I arrived in my car and had me write the mileage down! (I feel he did not believe me at all!)
Also, he has been giving me stress- he puts me as a slave to to things when he could do things themselves-one time he did food for himself and my sister, but he did not do any for my mother and had me do it-he seems to have a huge grudge towards my mom-he has not given any gifts for either Mother's Day or her birthday. Also, he focuses SO much on the past, especially my negativities, and has had strange whims towards me. I had a degree in accounting, but he wants me to be a PLUMBER-he was mad that I used my own money to pay for my classes and take out a loan! Too, he downplays my bachelor's degree and does not consider my master's. Another time, it was difficult to get a job in the COVID age, and has shouted at me a couple of times not getting hired. He has fought with me many times, sometimes for no good reason, and it is disheartening. He even breaks etiquette-he humiliated me in taking dress shoes out of my packed luggage and I went to a funeral with sneakers. He even humiliated me in public in shouting at a mechanic and drove away with our car.
It is not just me that is affected- it is also my mom that is affected-she was punched in the eye one time, and also has made lies in front of public. He even pushed my mom out and slammed the door in front of her just to talk to me. Also, he has at one point when I wanted to have a family talk, he reluctantly left. My mom is being treated for an autoimmune disease, but at one point, he did spread the word falsely that she was faking. He does not even feel sympathy for her in times of trouble-he did say when my mom was on borderline in passing a test, when she was worried and crying, he did say, "Ah, you'll never pass!"
It is true, my mom was never happy in marriage with my dad, and I feel that my father has not raised me well. Also, he likes to criticise, and make people mad. It is not just my immediate family that is affected, it is also his siblings- recently, he fought with his brother at my grandfather's funeral (lucky I did not attend- I was in school.) Also he had problems when he was younger, sometimes his sisters would hide a fork in their shoes to defend themselves. Well, this has rubbed on to his siblings-one has criticized me for being in the FF'dom when I was vacationing in Montreal. Another was gambling uncontrollably, and many were spreading lies and stretching truths. To refer back to the funeral I attended, one saw me differently- I transferred a kiss from my hand to a gravestone, but that person saw me as putting my LIPS on the gravestone, like I were bending down to do it!
Really, if it is not reason enough to try to move out, I do not know what will. My mom was feeling so sad during marriage, that it was this week that it was the last straw-his erratic behavior in marriage and even in gatherings where at times, he gets drunk has led her to say that enough is enough. Even I feel that this is the last straw, and I feel that he is an abusive man in the family. Though he has not done so much towards my mentally handicapped sister, it is still significant enough to say that he has done some harm to her. I could not see him trying to improve as he is stubborn and would like to be deviant. I have seen that he doesn't trust me, but it would be vice versa if he would see me as a child in his eyes, and that he does things that are wrong in public, especially when my mom and I say to him that it is not right-he even does it anyway to get under our skin.
As it is that he does not have a sense of humor-he picks what would be humorous, it is he who is against me being Cory when I fursuit- twice, he has seen it and was mad and shocked to see me fursuiting. He even had a long talk with me on why I'm a white wolf and to even go as far to say stop. My mom did not say this. Evidently, if I do show Cory to any of my father's sibs, they would react negatively-I won't be surprised.
It is a feeling that I will go as far as saying that I don't want to have that last name anymore if he or his sibs make me really offended. My mom and I can't bear having to live with him another year, and it will be clear that we'd be happier separated. Divorce would be the last thing on my mom's mind, but it could happen. It would be the best time to say that I will have to be completely independent. I think me moving away would make me set myself for life by myself and to have a happier life. My mom will help, but I think that I will do it now, and despite that I have my handicapped sister to take care of, I will find a way to take care of her. I will take the lead and improve on myself so I can enjoy life better and embrace the FF'dom a whole ot more.
Enough is enough. If you ever want to know how my life has been a living hell, I have taped my dad shouting with me for 4 hours straight while I have been searching for a job in COVID-if you want to hear, you can request it. It was THAT terrible. You should be my sib and see his behavior.
In the upcoming months, I will see if I can find an apartment for my mother and perhaps me. For me, it could be that I can live alone, but if I can't find anything, I will ask any SF Bay furs for help and perhaps room with you to hopefully cut costs or even have that opportunity to temporarily be a mate in the house while I find affordable lodging for myself.
I will end here, but it is clear that you know how my mom and I feel about having my father in our lives. So to go ahead and give a parting shot, I will say no longer "dad, daddy, pa, papa," or even "papi." I will quite a bit from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 from the character Yandu near the end, to Starlord "He is your father, but he ain't your daddy." That would apply to my dad right now. Hopefully by the end of the year, but no later than 2022, I will embark on a new experience, likely alone, but AWAY from my father, absolutely. I won't invite him to my wedding if I find my mate, and he won't see my offspring.
In what would be something I was going to anticipate in watching after seeing the first "Despicable Me", I feel that the prequel to that one and knowing how the Minions truly existed was not what I expected at all, and the backstory in which the Minions have to articlulate is so bothersome as they are the main characters. I would have expected too for them to be translated too and for the individuals meeting them to at least have them speak understandable English in the American release, but the human characters understanding "Minionese" and not speaking it and the Minions vice versa for English does not make sense. Although one can be blind when Despicable Me is aired-at least the Minions have less exposure to the outside world than when you watch this movie-it can make sense to have them secluded. But the premise as they all want to serve since the beginning of time for them makes no sense-it would be that they would be like they would behave like they have no individuality and that they are basically "brain dead, but alive", if you know what I mean. You can see it too as they touch too much and get into trouble TOO often, and that they would behave like someone with a mental condition or retarded. Butlers and maids would be better than these Minions, and I can say that if Mr. Bean from Britain were one, he would be more allowable to be on the screens for any age than these characters that look like Tic-Tacs (Heck, there is a Minion themed one with the flavor of banana back then!: https://www.theshelbyreport.com/201.....opular-demand/ ) I know, they are supposed to have their problem solved to serve someone, but even if there is that goal, there was more problems arriving in the story that the whole plot gets convoluted. I did have a few laughs, especially the subliminal thing that MACRO Kevin did that was a riot...( ), but overall, although there was praise, the story of them did not have a resounding ending-maybe I did not see, but if I did, it was definitely not memorable. I can get that they can be friendly, but they can be TOO friendly, especially when they just want to be doing things under someone that is God to them. Anyhow, if it were, I would have compared them to the friendly and sympathetic Canadians that one may meet, but they are MUCH more intelligent and can make an erudite and worthwhile conversation than having to talk to a Minion.
It feels that the prequel would be a downfall to the Despicable Me franchise- when I saw Rotten Tomatoes, I did agree that the viewers did not like it: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/minions . It did cause a bearing on Despicable Me 3, and if it weren't for Minions, DM3 would not have gotten this score: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/despicable_me_3 ; but seeing the plot on Wikipedia, I have a bad feeling that what went on in Minions does rub off on DM3. I partly saw DM2, but was not so in tune to want to watch the whole thing. I did have a chance to see it again, but because of Minions, I feel no interest anymore to keep with the DM franchise-it totally ruined my interest, and upcoming, there will be sequel TO THE PREQUEL: Minions-The Rise of Gru: https://www.universalpictures.com/m.....he-rise-of-gru . I had been watching off and on Minions 1- if it were that it was a very good movie, I would have stayed through all of the movie and even rush fast doing something during the commercials and be just in time to watch more-that did not happen when it was aired on NBC. If it is that I'm forced to watch Minions 2, I would not see if it were on TV-with what happened to Minions 1, I won't bother seeing the next one; Added, I won't have interest in seeing the theatrical release full-version one. The movie is not worthwhile and has practically became a cancer to the franchise. Since the next movie is going to come around, I feel that it could be soon that Universal will lose profit on this one with the adults. The way that would save them is children watching the movie for the first time, but I will have doubts that if they see Minions, and the upcoming one, they may see them only once-not like Zootopia where I did see it twice in theaters-it was that good. It won't happen to any of the DM series, I'm sure....
# Coming soon, I will see if the old timer Rock-a-Doodle movie is good. I will rate it soon as I have seen it on streaming on Roku's channel TCL : https://channelstore.roku.com/detai.....-videos-gratis

My rating for "Rock Dog" (2017 [USA])
General | Posted 4 years agoSiskel & Ebert: Two thumbs up
Grade: B+
Rating out of 6 (Former ISU figure skating marks): 5.5
If it were so that one has to follow their passion, there will be all types of adversity one will have to meet. One should know that everyone has choices in life, and there can be things that one will have to compromise in order for both an individual, family, friends and even society will have to see when one does look for their calling. Well, for this one, there are TWO looking for their calling! Bodi the protagonist, and Angus Scattergood, who is the deuteragonist with his own problems to face-they would both end up in a bad future if things do not go as planned. When it comes to life, one will have to rely on luck and happenstance to get to a goal, and it is evident that for both main characters in finding their passion via music, they get to become what they can become. It can be in terms of endearment for one, and having to make ends meet before a deadline comes, but it is to believe and to have the commitment and passion to reach the enduring goal of success in having a skillset come to one's advantage and to become able to use one's strengths and build on them. Though Bodi is a Tibetian mastiff who would be from Tibet, or even Nepal, Bhutan or even India, him going to a metro area to start from scratch and work his way up is common to everyone's life. Of course, one would have to remember their roots, and it would be important to put them to good use.
It comes at a surprise it would relate to Zootopia, but it is not at all like it in terms of storyline. As it was made in China, I would have imagined that Bodi would be in Wuhan, Chongqing, or with Angus being British, Hong Kong, but it was clear that the places were made up and they say that the characters other than the sheep flock and Bodi's dad, Khampa, that 128,000 acre city was not meant to represent anything, but the building I saw that looks like a wave when Bodi enters for the first time looks like it can be from Hong Kong, or a huge longshot, Los Angeles like this: https://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/hote.....ia/los-angeles (As the city in most cases is the start for many artists in musical careers.) It would be clear enough that when I see the movie, anyone aspiring should have to accept rejection and have a "don't give in" attitude, and Bodi with his optimism seems to be the epitome for anyone wanting something as a pathway to living their dreams. For Bodi still having the job guarding the sheep, it is clear to say that he should value this as his side dream while focusing on his main dream- it will be near the end that you will see this... I will not spoil it, but having both responsibilities could work in his favour...
It was entertaining as the music used was catchy and enlivening. Yeah, where have I been after hearing all of you bliblity-blackety about the film?! It was good, however... I can say that for some characters, they would have been drawn better, but it is my perspective. It was a bit disappointing that the imported Chinese movie did not do good at all domestically, and in the USA, it was a complete flop; it got as profit, nearly US$46 million IN THE RED WORLDWIDE. My best guess is that there were other movies that were showing and my opinion of how the characters are drawn and the storyline would be what the audience in general didn't like. It would be to a cult following that have some like it-especially the FF'dom. To me, this was entertaining in its own way, and I feel that the movie would be great for children too. Well, it is the one who watches that makes one happy to see the movie- so you don't have to listen to me-you can watch it yourself and have your judgement to see that if Rock Dog is underrated-to me, it is!

We missed another paw/foot themed day!
General | Posted 4 years agoYes, we just had May 20th as Paw Day. I know how fun it was, but we can go ahead and say let's have everyday Paw Day as we did see February 9th as a trending day for Paw Day as the Japanese were starting this-it was brewing from a joke, but it caught on.
Now, we have this one according to the National Calendar /Days of the Year and from one friend locally that likes the body part that is made for walking- NATIONAL GO BAREFOOT DAY!
I know, naturally for MOST furs, they will be barepawed, but I can say for those who are fursuiters, they would have LOTS more leeway as they can wear their fursuit paws or even have that time to have their human feet be exposed. Yeah, it is clear, in RL, we're not going to risk walking on the hot concrete, asphalt or tar with our bare feet, but heck, if in the grass or if the time is right, the sand would be great! You just have to use your judgement-for next year.
Interesting, if you're working and your boss allows it in an office, would YOU go ahead and participate in National Go Barefoot Day? We have 364 more days to prepare!
( I will guess that this is a US holiday, but since the FF'dom is prone to pick up some of these things, it could catch on sooner or later!)
Link to sites for Go Barefoot Day-
Days of the Year: https://daysofyear.com/national-go-barefoot-day/
National Calendar: https://nationaldaycalendar.com/day.....ot-day-june-1/
See you next year in exposing those heels, soles and toes- NO SANDALS OR FLIP-FLOPS- THAT'S CHEATING!

WILD!! US$25K+ fursuit auction end! (Zuristudios-my take)
General | Posted 4 years agoIt is going to be the talk of the community now as we now have a new record for a price of a fursuit!
Zuristudios (FA account not functioning-putting it for record purposes.) did put an auction around last week, and if you were able to see Twitter at some point, the cost of the fursuit was this high! Right now, the link to list auction on Zuri's The Dealer's Den account is removed: https://www.thedealersden.com/listi.....studios/201850 , but to go ahead and put my opinion, it was going to be a custom fursuit auction for the maker, and whoever got the highest bid will have it come to life. Now compare what I got for Cory from
RumWolf- it was US$1800, but if you do look at a few that I know,
ArcoShep,
Furouco,
Zeekra and the most recent, Haipa ( Twitter: https://twitter.com/HaipaCeru ) for example, they are the sensationally darling, don't you think? One will have to see that their cuteness would be the best that you would see in fursuiting.
Clearly, it's not only the looks that you would aim for in a fursuit, it is also the construction, longevity and comfort while wearing one that is also key in getting your fursuit done and to see that it is worth the money. The thing to see too is also the ratings of the fursuit constructor as well. Now, I admittedly have not found Zuri's rating and comments on the constructor's work, but if from what I see in the auction being this high, it is just a conjecture that their suits are of best quality and they have great reviews.
But really, at what cost do you want to pay for a fursuit? Not to go on and chide the ones that bid for the fursuit and possibly shell out perhaps at maybe a year of your salary depending on what job you have, but to see this go as perhaps as a "world record " of a cost of a fursuit as Dogpatch Press editor
Patch_Packrat ( https://dogpatch.press/ ) says on Twitter, you should have the knowledge of living within your means. I would edify you that there are the small amount of furries that would be in the many hundreds of thousands or millions; most of the furry population is at middle class. So it could be an understatement that this auction had inflated the mean (average) cost of a fursuit.
To elaborate further, this would be something happening if one is going to try to get a fursuit in the future. It is just one auction that has this commission close to $30k, but if there are more like this, we will have to worry as soon prices would change soon-it won't be just inflation to factor, but if there is such demand like this, and that supplies are short, especially when COVID is still around and some countries that supply fursuit materials are still in pandemic stage, in a business standpoint, it will be more expensive to buy one, and microeconomics will say that the consumer will lose their opportunities to owning one. Clearly, when a bid gets that big, you would wonder why it was ratcheted up so high and why would one want to afford one at that price-they could use the money for other things- a car, or if it is a need: a boat, or RV-they could have that money to pay for their next house's down payment. Well, we DON'T know the class of the winning bidder, and on Twitter, there were some that were ripping and criticizing the bidders for going that high. If that winning bidder does want a fursuit SO bad and is willing to do anything for one no matter what the price, we can't talk bad about them, and we could say that winning bidder does know what s/he is going to expect to go through. I do wish him or her well in making their dream come true!
For Zuri, I can be in her POV and say that this is amazing! It will help the company's cause in getting more things to construct more fursuits in the future, and it will be clear that the winning bidder is going to be forever in that company's debt. (Figuratively-not monetarily, if you know what I mean!) Well for anyone wanting to get a fursuit from Zuri, sorry- the company is now no longer getting standard commissions- it is an auction commission that the company does. So if you decide to get one from Zuri, you will have to hope and allocate as much money as you can to try to win the bid as clearly, it will be an expensive one. I do not know the reviews the company gets, but once again, if the fursuit bid got that high, the fursuits must be of great quality. Bless Zuri for this unthinkable opportunity, and good luck to both the company and the winning auction bidder in getting that fursuit to life! Hope it was well worth the money!

If furries were to exist, A.I. (IQ) should be done
General | Posted 4 years ago(No, I do not mean artificial insemination!)
It was a thought that I have had when I was surfing around YouTube. In seeing how RL animal would never be up to the IQ of a human on average, it would be fitting to have some way of putting a computer chip or having a way to have more neurons in the brain for more intelligence-there can the ability to learn, speak human language, and even make discoveries. It can be on the good end, but there can be hostility on the bad end in between species, and it can be that Homo sapiens sapiens will cease to exist as predators will have the ability to make a snack on them by finding ways to best their intelligence. Although we can be fans, we could have that ability to morph hopefully and retain our human side and by interactions with the wild ones we have right now, it could be possible that they can seamlessly transition to the "civilized" life. Of course, if you have seen the show, "Animalia", it would be what that show would be with the Animalians living harmoniously. I recommend seeing it-do look at the final episodes-you will have a surprise! It will make the life expectancy of many animals now prolonged, but know too, that some are happy with their lives, like some turtles and clams living a century or more years after. As science will advance and scientists may do some sort of experiment to have an experimental animal like a parrot to have more intelligence, it could be soon that we could see them roaming around and our imaginations in our current FF'dom can come true. We can only imagine... And, yep if for real AI does get really high in 2100, we can expect a lot of transformation in our world...
In the meantime, I have seen these vids about animal intelligence:
https://youtu.be/2VUHdu_g8ok
https://youtu.be/gINZyLpHYgI
Cory: WHOA! SO WE WOLVES (I.Q. 25) ARE SMARTER THAN DOGS (I.Q. 19) !? Well then, it will be good to not be a pet, then!
Ashley: WHAT?? Only 12? Then what is school for me for other than for a group of fish? ....
Alfred: HEY!!! WHERE'S MY SPECIES?!?
(And no, don't expect Wile E. Coyote there with his IQ of 207-HE'S NOT REAL! Since not listed in the vids, I could say real ones have an IQ of a jackal.)

Paw day & an official graduation! (Any artists open?)
General | Posted 4 years agoHooray, it was just yesterday that I got the opportunity to have a day off this Sunday! The job does want me to be in attendance for Sundays because I have been assigned to work part time and on a day where it is busy, but because a graduation is memorable, I did have that day off. Well, the company does have a heart! So, though it has been a delay, I will have a commencement, but it will be more of a CARmencement because of COVID protocols, therefore, I will have to hear the commencement address from my car. It will be good though that I will have a parade of graduates though, and I will be going down a street from St. Mary's college ( https://www.stmarys-ca.edu ) in front of many applauding attendees to officially have a send-off of graduates for both 2020 and 2021. I would have imagined that I would not have been able to have this if I were in med school, but having a degree in a shorter period of time and getting pay right away without having to be in MASSIVE debt would be best for me.
Well, it is Paw Day today! And I do have the toga with me, and so, it would be fitting for me to go and try it on in fursuit! WELL, I will NOT be fullsuit, because I packed the "Pandemic Pounds", but I will put the partial. So this would be a fitting thing-me, a Master's in Science in Business Accounting is going to get respect from my peers- so I will post a pic of me in fursuit-willing that my parents won't see me that way- and wearing my Master's toga while holding my diploma in hand. My paws will be shown, and YOU are to worship or kiss them! RESPECT THE GRADUATE!! I will upload this to here and Twitter, and it would be the perfect thing for me. Hope you like it!
And if you are an artist, I would like to see if anyone is open for a commission. If I can have that picture that I'm about to do be drawn, I would greatly appreciate it and be a great remembrance as Cory getting his degree and is ready to get to work on his career!
So in the meantime to you all, happy Paw Day, and if you will be officially graduating at a commencement, happy graduation-the sky's the limit for you after your education! Remember, you still have a lot to learn-despite that there's no more school for you if you settle for associate, bachelor's, master's, or even (juris) doctorate, the sky's the limit, and if the job does block you from the FF'dom, keep your interest alive-there will always be chances for you to enjoy the fun furries have in the fandom! I wish you all good luck on your endeavors, and keep your feet healthy and clean-it will do LOTS of wonders while you're in your career!

It could be the last days I'll attend FC...
General | Posted 4 years agoI may say that being in business accounting and being an auditor is what I will do, I could end up not having to be at my favourite con anymore. As it is around Martin Luther King Weekend, and hopefully, many businesses observe the holiday, I may hope that the business I go to will allow me to take that time off as well. I will see what the people ask me when I have been hired by MANY firms or that I can have that opportunity to be transferred to other jobs within the company.
I know that there is PAW in my area, but I would like to have that big con to attend as it will be the time when I can see others from overseas to see, artists, fursuiters and even fans would like to see me in my home con in RL and even fursuit. In any case, the job I will go into is first and I do have to care about myself, but ay, just like many yearly regulars that attend, they love the major con being held in January and it gives them something to do in what is called "The Doldrums" of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.
I will check out what will happen, but certainly, it is clear that if I get stable and have a great future in which I get a million+ before age 40 or even at age 41, I could retire happily, and if FC is still around and I have everything to survive, I will go to it as much as I want. (I hope it will not be too long of an absence and that the con will still be around if I reach the age of
Zarafa. *I cross fingers.*)

Zarafa. *I cross fingers.*)Prodded today! 28 days to go! (Moderna)
General | Posted 4 years agoIt will be in mid-June that California will be reopening fully, and I will have some guarantee that I will have an opportunity to access many things freely! I have taken Moderna-I feel that with that, I have more efficient and success with that vaccine against COVID than with Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson's one dose. Happy to be here in the USA to get that vaccine and in June 9th to get the second; BUT, if it is that I go to Canada, it will be more problems because the rate of vax administered is slow, and it REALLY lags behind the USA in terms of how many took at least a dose. To add, they have a third wave of COVID. I do not know how they will do in controlling their problem with the pandemic, but I feel that with the land borders closed, they may lose some prosperity via trade in the new USMCA trade agreement (It replaced NAFTA on July 2020.) México would suffer as well as President Biden had said that land borders are closed.
It is good that where I'm at, I get the body time to defend itself from the virus, and 2021 will be the time that COVID will be on the decline for many countries-DEVELOPED. Sad thing here is that the developing and "Third world"countries will have to solve it for 2023, and the pandemic will still linger on. So for the American furs, be blessed if you have taken the shot, lots of opportunities will come after you take all your doses. If you are an anti-vax, please rethink, otherwise, screw you. ):(
I will have a numb feeling in my left arm, but I did get a bad twang at the side of my head-it was a headache that lasted for an hour. However, I can understand that it is the body working to make antibodies. I am due for a Tdap vaccine, but I cannot take it within 14 days of vaccination, but I will go ahead and try having it in July after all my COVID vaccinations have been injected in me. So, once I get that shot, I will finally say that 3 jabs of something sharp will be over. However, I would take it over having to have blood sucked out by any insect and end up sick!
You will see on my twitter a Tweet of my sticker and COVID Government-Issued Card on my account soon. A pic of a flexing muscle Cory will be shown! Enjoy! On June 9th, I will bring Cory over to the hospital and pose at a big poster to say that I have been vax'ed!
