Before anyone thinks otherwise, I still like xenomorphs... But variety is the spice of life!

As such, I'm searching something new... something different.
What do you think would suit me, based on what you know about me?
Even if you don't know me, feel free to suggest a species you like.

So why am I doing this?
As said, variety. I can draw all kinds of critters, but without knowing what's out there, my imaginations tends to come up blank half-way the doodle or sketch. So I'm looking for some inspiration to work with, and who better to ask than such a varied audience? :þ

Short story even shorter: I'm gonna try and get back into drawing again.
It's been quite a while since I actually draw anything remotely decent, so I'll be starting from scratch pretty much.

So there will be horrible sketches to come before I'll be able to get out something remotely decent... don't say you weren't warned.




Also, it's all  tinyqt's fault that I'm giving the whole thing another try here on FA. Yup, go blame her for my return. :V

I haven't posted anything in over a year and still getting faves and watches.

Many people interpret this song as having some kind of religious meaning. But only now I seem to realize that parts of this song are awkwardly close to my personal situtation and of things to come. As in literal mind patterns, events and, very rarely, emotional situations.

Quite funny, slightly scary.

I'd love to kick off a little PbP campaign to get started with the whole business but, being completely new to it, every bit of help is welcome. I know that the chances of finding runners here on FA is 0.1% but you never know, right?

That's right.  balitiger23 is offering free art to everyone who submits a drawing for this round.
We're also on a gas giant this time, so you'll have plenty of opportunity to use that imagination of yours!

So this is actually my first 'official' Dynasty Warriors game I played.
The other one was DW:Strikeforce on the PSP and DW:Gundam2.

I've checked the reviews for DW7 and msot game sites, if not all, label it as a bland and repetitive game ending up with a score around 50-60%
It's weird, because this is the only game after the Mass Effect series I've spent so much time on playing. Yes, the only thing you'll do is murder hordes of generic archers, swordmen, spearmen and cavalry... but I enjoy it! D:
I find the game amazingly fun despite the repetitive action.
Lots of things to unlock, 62 characters to play, 30-something different type of weapons with their own moveset, lots of seals (weapon upgrades) to unlock and each weapon has 5-6 versions (beginner weapon to legendary weapon) with 3-4 skins.

Seriously, I'm having a blast and would recommend this game to everyone who loves a good massacre ever so often.
There's 4 main stories: Wei, Shu, Wu and Jin and I recommend playing it in that order as well. Each story can easily last between 6 to 7 hours, depending on the difficulty you play and whether or not you get oyur ass kicked. So that's and easy 24 to 30 hours of gameplay for just the main story.
After that, you'll have Conquest mode, which offers a ton of missions, lots of unlockable characters and weapon unlocks AND the option to befriend other officers.

Lu Bu with Red hare and the Black Dragon Halberd and the right upgrades literally decimates everything in front of him. Gotta love it.


That aside, art is slow and xenomorphs are non-existant at the moment.
I'm sure things will resurface evetually... but not anytime soon, I'm afraid. .__.

It’s been a while since I had a new journal, so I might as well make one and ask for people’s opinions and advice.

First would probably be the most general of all: art.
I’m getting back into the whole thing and have a few drawings (and ideas) to finish/complete.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that I have no bad news this time. :C


Secondly, there’s something I’ve been thinking about for the last few weeks and that would be… A contest! I don’t know if (m)any people are interested in contests without expensive rewards, but I still want to give it a try.
The idea is based on a contest made by spiralofvertigo on an previous account.
It’s quite simple, and allows for people to go crazy with their designs and ideas.

You get a description of a certain place and you have to draw a creature that could live in such an environment. I plan on expanding on the basic idea and create a whole world, inhabited by the creatures created by the people who join the contest.
There will be a contest for creatures, one for insects and maybe even one to create a landscape based on the planet we’re on. Each planet will have it’s own set of rules (gravity, weather, etc…) and several rounds will be played before venturing to the next.
An important thing to note is that this will be a –creature- contest!!!
So… there will be no furries or humans frolicking about on any of the planet’s surface. This is meant to make you think of the craziest, funnies, alien and most intricate designs you can think of.

So where does the contest part come in?
Well, every time you submit something for one of the contests, you’ll be judged by a jury and given points. After a set number of rounds, we’ll move to a new planet and the one who has the highest score will get a say in what the next planet will be like. Then his/her score gets reduced to zero and he or she is free to join again. You will be judged on design, quality and the description of the species. It means that everyone has a chance of winning, but the people who have joined will have an edge over a complete newcomer. Currently, all of this is just an idea and many things can still change. I’ll try find a way to give the winner a better prize, but the idea is to have fun…


If anyone has ideas or suggestions, I’ll be most happy to hear them.

Well, it's been my birtyhday for the past 15 hours but it seems no one remembered. (except for my mom, sister and grandma)
I didn't really expect anyone else to remember it, since I hadn't told anyone about it in a while.
But still... you know, wishful thinking and all that. .__.
Would've been fun. Yeah.

...but a very short chat last night with someone convinced me to stick along for a bit longer. I now realize that the issue causing me to contemplate suicide once more can never be resolved.
Here's a short explication:

1) I don't learn. I'm stubborn (read: stupid) and refuse to learn from past/previous experiences.
2) I see/believe/feel things that aren't there in reality. I'm not talking about religious or supernatural stuff here.
Both are simple facts the people who know me can confirm.

Recently I found myself in the situation where I'm forced to face things as they are. All the feelings, thoughts, imaginations and even the most pitiful fantasies my mind was able to conjure exploded. All of it gone, just like that, and all it took was merely a dozen seconds and even less words. Words can hurt... but holy shit. Last time I ended up short of breath like that was years ago. You could say that my metaphysical Chandrasekhar limit was passed aaaand we all know what happens then.

Anyways, it's about time I stop writing before I end up with a whole page of nonsense again. >_>;
I had a whole section written down explaining the whole situation... but it wouldn't change a damn thing and the people involved deserve better than my whining. So yeah, I really can't deal with this shit anymore. I'm through and so, so damn tired of it all. I'm officially giving up on the chance of any shred of happiness coming my way. Please don't say that everything will be alright or something similar... I've got [2x] years of experience and I -know- things won't turn out 'alright'.
Nevertheless, I plan on staying around for a bit longer.
This is reality and there simply is no place reserved for me... so I'll just stay around uninvited and see how things go from there.

I'm going to post a substitution journal after this one so I don't scare people away from the front page. In that one, I'll explain everything else you need to know and all you need to do is listen.

I've been drawing like crazy on paper for quite some time now, trying to come up with some newcharacter or a new xenomorph species... and the sketches were working out fine.
I thought I even had a few great ideas going and then I decided to take a little break.

...siad break being over, I find myself unable to draw ANYTHING anymore.
It's like I've completely forgotten how to friggin' draw something. >_____<

You see, these last months I've been thinking about working out some concepts and ideas I had years and years ago. The past few weeks I've started working out the details of this card- and board game.
...and it's not as easy as I thought it would be. x_X
So yeah, any help you can give is welcome here.

Like, if YOU were to make a card- or board game. what would you make?
Would you go with something like Monopoly? or maybe strategic wargames like Warhammer?
A card game like Magic the Gathering or Pokemon?
Tell me what you would LOVE to see, play or create (in case it doesn't exist yet).

I have the basics down, so I won't make any big changes.
It'll be a card/boardgame hybrid that has: building an economy, dealing with random events, training and fighting units, influencing the game with the cards you draw (minor deck building option at mid/end game)



There is one person who knows more about this here on the site.
IF that person dares say or reveal more information about the game, I'll have said person hunted down. >:C

Also, mom decided she wants a new dog after all. So tomorrow we're off to go buy a new doggie.

At 4am this morning we got a call from the vet clinic that she didn't make it.
Whatever it was that caused the liver issues made her liver values spike and put her in shock.

Just spent the last hour and a half comforting my mom.
She took care of her every day; day in, day out for 7 years... So she's got it pretty bad.

I wanted to rant about the medical animal care here in this shitty country as this was our second dog that went into shock the day we left her in the clinic. Our previous dog had a similar story.
'she went into shock, there's nothing we could do'

Too tired to rant from keeping up appearances.

Edit: Got off the phone with the vet who treated her.
She said they did everything possible, from extra IV to get her blood pressure back up to heart massage and an adrenaline shot. Nothing helped.

It's fairly new and empty, but there will be something for everyone available.
The forum even has different sections for Anthros, humans, ferals and everything on 3 or more legs.
Combinations of the whole lot will probably be available as well.
The current rules are quite simple and only rely on common sense and a basic ubderstanding of grammar, spelling and punctuation.
In other words: don't be a jerk and write out your sentences. Shouldn't be too hard. :3

As said, the place is rather... barren at the moment but if the word is spread, it could be a nice place to RP a bit and make some friends. I for one am gonna lurk around and might just join in somewhere.


On another note, I'll try and upload some doodles and drawings soon.
I have a ton of idea, but my art engine died in a hellish conflagration a few weeks ago. Repairs are slow because I refuse to pay technicians and expect it to regenrate itself. :v

Got all four wisdom teeth got pulled yesterday.

So why don't you tell me (and everyone reading this) the story of why you created your 'sona.
Is there a reason behind the species you chose? What of it's aspects represent you?
Is there a reason or meaning behind it's colorscheme and the markings?


Obviously, there will be people who chose a species because "it looks cool" or something.
...but I want you to think back, way back to when you created your 'sona.
Some things may be obvious to you but for others it could be a complete surprise as to why you chose that specific detail or that color.
