i've got some time, so i'll explain kinda where i've been and what's going on w/ me.
for one thing, a new semester's started, and it's really chaotic, so i'm trying to sort through that and get into a rhythm. it's looking doubtful i'll have any time to open commissions, but i do like money, so, we'll see if i can swing it.
there's another thing at play.
some of my close and close-ish friends may know that i've been struggling with what i can only best describe as trauma. nothing happened to me physically, but i engaged with the wrong type of content, and it really fucked me up. for the last half a year since then, i've been struggling with constant intrusive thoughts about my main character/sona, eX, in undesirable or distressing situations that really bother me. i won't go into too much detail, but they commonly involve nonconsensual acts, captivity, defeat, subjugation, etc.
and to be frank, at this point, i'm kind of finding that, as much as i still think i like bondage/kink stuff, scrolling through it, here and on my twitter feed, is starting to stimulate more negative feelings than positive ones. it's like the idea of helplessness isn't as exciting anymore as it is distressing.
it might be the trauma that i think it is, it might be something else, idk. i don't really know why my brain is.... like, broken, like this, but it's starting to get to a point where i feel like i need to largely disengage from kinky content, at least for a while, for the sake of my own mental health.
so that's where i'm at right now. idk what i'm going to do. i hope this gets better, but, i'm just gonna-- i have to-- do whatever improves my mindset, i suppose. i know a lot of people know me for my kink interests, and it really bugs me to think that i might have to stop... being... that? but i'm really sick of feeling the way i've been feeling lately.
so yeah. that's why i might be pulling back a bit. this journal is a bit messy because i'm not the best at figuring out my own feelings, and they fluctuate, i still do bondage RP and all that sometimes, so i dunno. i'm hopeful that these feelings will resolve so i can engage with the content i used to in an enjoyable way again.

i lost my dog yesterday.
she was a little western terrier, turned 11 earlier this year. she'd stopped eating, started throwing up more since november last year, and lost five pounds, which is a lot. we didn't know what it was, tried everything, fed her whatever she'd eat. finally, after months of her getting worse with no answers, and after a vet saw something on an x-ray, my mom took her in yesterday to get a surgery done to see if she had what we thought could've been a fish bone in her intestines that might've been causing her pain. if it was there, and they removed it, it'd mean she could recover and probably start eating more.
instead they found cancer completely destroying her body. no chance of recovery. we were told about it that same day, and then two hours later we were at the clinic to put her down. it shocked and devastated my entire family, me included. i didn't have a strong emotional breakdown at the time, or during the whole thing. i really wish i had, because i can't now. i've tried.
you can think it's cringe to mourn a pet. that's fine. i understand. i was you before it happened to me. she was with me through the formative years of my life, we were never apart for more than a week. i loved her so much, and she loved me more. when you're that close and that intimate, it really does feel like losing a person. i feel like there's a hole in my heart, like i failed her, and that hole in my heart's going to persist for a very long time.
this isn't what i needed right now. i'm not in a good place, and frankly i don't know when i'm going to get better. but life isn't giving me any time off, there are things i have to do and i have to keep doing them. i'm trying. i'm trying to continue.
so, yeah. status update.

i don't have many fans or much of a platform but if you care about me/my stuff, know that i am extremely passionate about Bernie Sanders as candidate for president of the united states. if you are a US voter voting blue in the primaries, especially in states like Michigan and Florida (where i am), and
1. you're planning on voting for Bernie,
thank you! that means so much to me. i don't have the time or resources to do art for people, even though i'd like to do something, but if you let me know you voted you'll get a LOT of heart emojis from me. i would also encourage you to try and get the people around you to vote too. or if
2. you're planning on voting for Biden,
you are still important to me, and it's okay to feel more confident in Biden. but there are a lot of people in very high places who also want you to feel confident in Biden. i truly do not think he has a platform as strong as Bernie's, his plan for dealing with climate change is weaker, his policy too lenient, and he's accepting donations from companies like Comcast and MGM that want to stay unregulated and untaxed. Bernie has been called "unelectable" by people who don't realize their candidate will be obliterated on any debate stage, Trump will hammer it down into the ground that Biden has dementia (regardless of how true it is), until nobody has any confidence in him. he may have wide moderate support right now, but he's not a strong candidate with a movement behind him like Bernie is, and he'll lose in November.
if 3. you're planning on voting for Trump in November,
a) you are not a bad person. you are worthy of love. i've been where you are. but
b) you will hurt a lot of people indirectly with this decision. gay people, trans people, minorities, poor people. you will possibly indirectly hurt people you care about.
c) you may even be a victim of brainwashing. no, i'm not joking. you may have had very real and valid fears and insecurities turned into phobias, hatred, anger, nationalism. you may have been manipulated by media, both tv and social media, in very subtle and slimy ways. fascism in a liberalist system like ours is very good at this.

Posted 6 years agohey! so i've been quiet i guess, though i'm pretty quiet on here anyways, but i've gotten a couple inquiries about commissions so i thought i'd post an update! if you've been interested and watching for an opening, dom't worry, you haven't been missing out, i haven't been open for commissions in a while
the reason this is the case is partly because of work and classes (i'm switching majors into potentially astrophysics and seeing about transferring next year; the material is intensive for me though, i'm not the most left-brained enby irl). but the other thing is, the free time and creative energy i do have is all going into a Secret Project, something years in the making that you may not expect what it is at all if you're familiar with me through my art or roleplay! if you've been paying close attention to my twitter you may have seen me promoting it already, but i may share it with my followers here closer to its release in the next month and a half or so.

basically, i like the idea of it. actually, i like it a fuckton. the idea of being able to send and receive money as an FA user with other FA users, is incredibly appealing to me, because it means i can use my legit verified paypal and not have to worry about the issue of it displaying my deadname to anyone who wants to send me money. (the paypal i provide for commissions is not my legal name and thus it can't be verified, whereas with this system i could use my verified account and only FA itself would have access to that information) so for that reason alone i would even consider making shinies a preferred payment method for commissioning me. i don't know a lot about this but, conversation welcome

Feels like i should be dead. maybe i am. or some parts of me are still persisting on borrowed time. clinging desperately, but those days are numbered. they have to be.
So the proxy continues to search for themself, in vain, as they work to build eX's machine, that would save everything they are and everything they've known from certain doom in the gravity of a collapsing star.

Posted 7 years agossssso, i've been thinking about doing this for a while, but idk like-- while my style looks cool, like, my grasp on proportions and anatomy and stuff isn't great, and it's all really sketchy and weird, etc etc. so i just like... dunno how well i'd be able to satisfy someone who actually pays me money to do art for them? i guess? but i wanna try.
so, i'm gonna take one (1) commission for fifteen buckeronis (15 USD). it'll be a full-body pic (unless you don't want full-body, which is fine-- it isn't gonna affect the price at all, just probably the level of detail), w/ color and shading and all that jazz. i'll do a rough sketch, and then if you like it, that'll be the time to pay me (via paypal), and then i'll move on to detailing the sketch, then scanning and moving to coloring and such.

as in the examples above, any scene or background you wanna include will be either drawn very minimally as in examples one and three, or i'll do some creative photomanipulation stuff as in example two.
with the following guidelines:
-- sfw only
-- one character (complexity doesn't matter, but the more complex it is the more likely i am to get shit wrong or have to approximate.)
-- i'll need visual references
-- if you have something specific in mind, by all means, lay it on me, but let's talk about it in more detail, i feel like i may need to get a good like, feel for what's going on to be able to do a good job of capturing what's in your head. if you have no idea what you want, then we can brainstorm. ::V
-- do keep in mind that this is an experiment, so there's a non-zero chance it won't turn out great. check out my gallery to get an idea of sorta what to expect. i'm gonna do my best though.

PSA - looking for artists!
Posted 8 years agobeen working for a few months now and acquiring that sweet sweet Dosh, soooooooo i'm actually thinking of getting some art of eX! like, probably leaning more towards serious, tasteful, non-sexual stuff (maybe a kinky or sexual piece if the right mood strikes, though).
so, this is just sort of a vague PSA/shout-out i guess, if you know of an artist or artists for which eX might be a good fit, do throw any recommendations my way! either by comment, note, discord, f-list, whatever. any input/recs/suggestions are greatly appreciated!
