Posted 11 years agoCommissions will stay closed much longer, if not forever. Whatever I accepted until this moment stays accepted and of course will be done.
Nothing personal, just the new job is very exhausting so far. Also, I was told that I don't deserve this much money for my shitty art, hence I'm kinda pissed off and definitely under any condition willl not accept any new commissions now.
In a few months maybe.

I GOT A JOB!
Posted 11 years agoSo I had two job interviews this week, one for a post office job and other for graphic studio. The graphic studio was kind of waste of time, because what they wanted are actually sellers, not really graphic artists. Sellers. People always bothering me with listeting about their arguements on why to buy something I don't even have money for. They wanted me to sign, but really. I wouldn't even get paid as much as I'm currently making first three months. I'm looking for better paid job because I need money. I want a job when I work from morning to afternoon, then come back home and can work on my projects. Thank you, but it will be no.
But...
Now, you're gonna laugh. I'm a postman AKA mailman starting the 1st of July.
My shift starts 7AM (waking up at 5AM, uufff, but heck, I don't mind!) and ends 3PM, it takes me half an hour to get there and back. My district is Prague part called Jarov and supposedly my part of the dfistrict looks like this http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VzSB2bmpk.....0/IMG_2172.JPG which I find outstanding. It's apperently a lot of kilometers to walk daily but with less load, so that's pretty cool.
My ass will be made of steel in like three months...
The salary's pretty cool. I start on roughly 800 USD per month and after three months trial I'll get over 950 USD plus premies and also 80 USD monthly extra for also handing flyers. So...YAAAY!!!!
FINALLY we can pay our bills, debt for two months rent and even have savings! With Roman's rough month salary of 680-700 USD and my 800 USD, we'll have about 1500 USD a month!!! OMIGOOOOOOD!!
I CAN'T WAIT!!

Broken computer,no money, commissions temp. closed
Posted 11 years agoI was unable to post this but the last week was kinda hell. I wasn't answering on Skype because I had a serious back pain and spent six days mostly lying down in agony and high on pills. That is why I haven't answer some of the notes you sent me and neither I added some of you on the Skype.
At Thursday, as it wasn't enough, my computer started crushing. I couldn't work in Photoshop, nor have it even open. I had to get it into service and it won't be done anytime soon.
I'm sorry to all commissioners but you will all have to wait. It's awesome. I don't have money for new one. I don't almost have money for the service. I don't know what will I do. I'm in such deep shit I can as well go beg on a street.
I apologize in advance and hope this will be solved soon so I can continue on your commissions.
UPDATE:
The servicemen already informed me that the problem is, as I supposed, in the graphic card.
The final price will be 320 USD.
It's kind of a cursed circle now, my financial situation. I do commissions so we have money to pay regular bills. Of course, it's not enough, but it's incredibely helpful.
Now I do commissions to pay bill for the service so I can do commissions. Which is really...contraproductive.

I'm having kinda hard time lately. I feel unappreciated, my demons are in a good shape (which I am not), my work is shit and underpaid, I have zero time for my projects and I work to slow on my commissions. So I wanted to rest today, since I have forced day off tomorrow, I bought a bottle of cheap red wine and pepsi (cheaper than cola) and chilled around an internet. I browsed through the Tumblr but after an hour I realized: "I hate all those people. What they think is important in life has nothing to do with real values..." and I was absolutely stunned, not really angry or hateful, but just simply stunned over it and especially over my reaction.
I switched to Imgur briefly and going through the posts there made me slightly better IF not for two things. Comments AND Confession bear meme. All of sudden, it got me again: "I don't really want to share the same planet with people confessing such things - rape, homophobia and hatred related stuff. It means that they show a mask to me while thinking horrible things in the same time." The comments were even worse. People who have nothing to share. Just invaluable points and very generic opinions. Again, I was completely surprised by why do I feel this way.
I tried DA front page, Newest, the most Popular et cetera. Everything the same. With slight exceptions just very generic art. I had hard time telling one artist from the other.
No anger, no rage, no hatred included, I was just very stunned and confused by both sides, their and mine.
I went through my collection of newest things I haven't upload yet and I thought: "Do I even want to share this? Do I want someone such as myself judge me actually loudly? I do no harm by letting this emotions pass my brain, but most of people would share them. Do I want to face this?
I have written my very first creepy pasta. I think it's good. Yes, it needs a beta reader indeed, an editor to help me with some minor English mistakes and grammar. But the story is very solid in my opinion.
But is it?
To sum it up, I realized how much internet influence one's emotions. I don't speak my mind very often. Something needs to insult me very personally to make me really speak out. But most of people share every single brain fart they have (a beautiful fanart of...lets say Adventure time. Comment: Uguu, I luv da show derp!; a set of photos of rescued kitten with narration of how and why it was rescued. Comment: awwcute lulz i have a cat 2!!! - what is the purpose of those comments anyway? Who fucking cares if you like the show or have a cat too? If you want to comment, say something to the shared work itself, don't just mindlessly inform everyone about yourself.) which scares me for some reason. I don't share my opinions because I'm scared of hurt others and I don't share myself because I don't feel like I'm offering enough.
I have so many ideas about little comics of stuff which fascinates me. But I will never share it because what I may consider interesting, a lot of people will see as what I called a brain fart.
Do you feel the same?

Dialogue in Russian correction needed

I have this dialogue in Russian. I'd need some help with its editing, preferably from a native speaker. Most preferably from someone who speaks Russian AND Ukrainian.
Person A is Czech, speaks good Russian but due to stress his grammar may be kinda off, also he's not completely fluent.
Person B is Ukrainian, therefore is supposed to speak Ukrainian BUT also partially Russian as the languages are quite similar.
Person A may make even big mistakes in their speech. Person B should be fluent.
The dialogue:
A: " Привет, Rex! Здесь Виктор, Uhh...Я надеюсь, что я не беспокоить вас..."
B: " Привет! Нет, конечно, у вас нет, я был просто взяли паузу. Как дела?"
A: "He...Не так хорошо, я думаю... Uhh...Мне очень жаль, мой русский очень плохо сегодня. Мы говорим на английском?"

RULES:

2. I reserve all rights for using the artwork on other sites and for commercial use.
3. Commissioner has full right to use my artwork, but cannot claim it themselves and must always use the version with my signature.
4. I'll accept commission after I obtain full information about it.
5. Commissioner will obtain first a rough sketch, then line art with flat colors, then finished artwork.
5.A. In a sketch, I'm willing to change anything, including starting again with different angle or composition.
5.B. In a line art with flat colors, I'm willing to only fix details, I won't be starting again from the very beginning.
5.C. After receiving the finished artwork, the commissioner has no right to make me change anything except of after effects (such as color tone, blur effect et cetera)*2
6. Payment will be provided 100% after receiving the sketch.*3
7. Commissioner providing me the full info before other will be given preference. - Basically, two people want a commission, one sends me a message at Monday, second at Tuesday. The Tuesday will immediately provide full commission info so I can start drawing, the Monday one waits a week before answering. I won't let the Tuesday one wait just because the Monday one doesn't have time to send a note.
8. Don't ask me if I'm open for commissions, just send a note with full info and I will tell you.
9. I won't add more than 10 people at the list at time.*4
10. I absolutely WILL NOT draw anything violating laws. No animal cruelty, no children abuse/cruelty, no domestic violence topic, no rape, no pedophilia (so no shota and loli). Also NO political or religion theme. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.
11. I'm reserving a right to change rules anytime. I will provide my commissioners and eventual commissioners information about changes in time and changes won't apply on already listed commissions.
ADDITIONAL RULES FOR TRADITIONAL ART:
A. Please be patient.
B. I will provide a sketch, half done and finally fully finished artwork. I can only scan artworks up to A3 format, bigger will be only photographed.
C. I will send you the fully finished artwork by post, but I will not pay any fees, fees will be included in the commission price after we make a deal.
D. Sculptures: Will be photographed and also safely mailed to you, I don't pay fees (see above).
NOTES:
*1 - It happened to me many times that I was promised a big amount of money for drawing porn which was inconsistent with my moral and taste code. Because I'm in desperate need of money, I made the artwork. I'm still in need of money, even bigger now, but I won't draw something which makes me nearly vomit WHILE I draw it.
*2 - Again, many times happened that A. Commissioner made me remake the sketch with entirely different intructions five times and then never paid, I lter found out he was just a collector of sketches. B. I had finished lineart and flat colors and the commissioner decided he wants the scene from entirely different angle so I had to start again and lost a lot of time on it. C. After receiving the final artwork, commissioner decided he wants diffferent colors of something I already shaded and put effects on, again it was a loose of time for me.
*3 - Because a lot of people are thieves and although I don't point my finger on anyone, it happened to me at least three times here on DA and four times out of DA that after receiving the final product, the commissioner didn't pay.
*4 - This is because I work outside of DA. I work on CI of a café and computer game design.

5. Commissioner will obtain first a rough sketch, then line art with flat colors, then finished artwork.
5.A. In a sketch, I'm willing to change anything, including starting again with different angle or composition.
5.B. In a line art with flat colors, I'm willing to only fix details, I won't be starting again from the very beginning.
5.C. After receiving the finished artwork, the commissioner has no right to make me change anything except of after effects (such as color tone, blur effect et cetera)*2
6. Payment will be provided 100% after receiving the sketch.*3
7. Commissioner providing me the full info before other will be given preference. - Basically, two people want a commission, one sends me a message at Monday, second at Tuesday. The Tuesday will immediately provide full commission info so I can start drawing, the Monday one waits a week before answering. I won't let the Tuesday one wait just because the Monday one doesn't have time to send a note.
8. Don't ask me if I'm open for commissions, just send a note with full info and I will tell you.
9. I won't add more than 10 people at the list at time.*4
10. I absolutely WILL NOT draw anything violating laws. No animal cruelty, no children abuse/cruelty, no domestic violence topic, no rape, no pedophilia (so no shota and loli). Also NO political or religion theme. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.
11. I'm reserving a right to change rules anytime. I will provide my commissioners and eventual commissioners information about changes in time and changes won't apply on already listed commissions.
ADDITIONAL RULES FOR TRADITIONAL ART:
A. Please be patient.
B. I will provide a sketch, half done and finally fully finished artwork. I can only scan artworks up to A3 format, bigger will be only photographed.
C. I will send you the fully finished artwork by post, but I will not pay any fees, fees will be included in the commission price after we make a deal.
D. Sculptures: Will be photographed and also safely mailed to you, I don't pay fees (see above).
NOTES:
*1 - It happened to me many times that I was promised a big amount of money for drawing porn which was inconsistent with my moral and taste code. Because I'm in desperate need of money, I made the artwork. I'm still in need of money, even bigger now, but I won't draw something which makes me nearly vomit WHILE I draw it.
*2 - Again, many times happened that A. Commissioner made me remake the sketch with entirely different intructions five times and then never paid, I lter found out he was just a collector of sketches. B. I had finished lineart and flat colors and the commissioner decided he wants the scene from entirely different angle so I had to start again and lost a lot of time on it. C. After receiving the final artwork, commissioner decided he wants diffferent colors of something I already shaded and put effects on, again it was a loose of time for me.
*3 - Because a lot of people are thieves and although I don't point my finger on anyone, it happened to me at least three times here on DA and four times out of DA that after receiving the final product, the commissioner didn't pay.
*4 - This is because I work outside of DA. I work on CI of a café and computer game design.

After receiving the final artwork, commissioner decided he wants diffferent colors of something I already shaded and put effects on, again it was a loose of time for me.
