As usual, our ice water tank will be in the fursuit lounge again where you can quickly activate your PCM inserts.
It’s free to use but PLEASE keep the following in mind:
- Mark your inserts clearly with a water proof marker.
- Don’t leave your inserts in the tank for longer than an hour.
- Once activated, use your inserts or put them in the fridge in your room. They’ll stay activated there for later use.
- The water in the tank contains 10% ethanol to prevent it from freezing and for hygiene reasons. That explains the wodka smell :)
- DON’T DRINK the water! They serve much better alcoholic beverages in the hotel’s bar!
- The use of the tank is at your own risk. We can’t be held responsible for lost or damaged items.

To be sure that EZcooldown customers can enjoy their cooling vest during Eurofurence, we'll be bringing our super cooler to the fursuit lounge again.
In this cooler, filled with ice water, you can activate your PCM inserts in about 20 minutes.

Some tips on how to use this cooler:
- Clearly mark your PCM inserts with a permanent marker.
- I recommend using a mesh washing bag to keep your inserts together. You can buy them for a few Euro's
- Place your inserts in the ice water tank.
- Remove the inserts when they're FULLY solid. This will take about 20 mins.
- Wipe dry, place in your vest and enjoy cool fursuiting!

Please don't leave your inserts in the tank longer than necessary. Don't use the tank as a permanent storage for 'whenever you might need your inserts'.
The tank is pretty big but has a limit on capacity, especially during peak hours.
By leaving your inserts in the tank for an extended period of time, you impede other fursuiters from having their inserts activated. Please be social.

EZwolf - EZcooldown team

Here at EZCooldown we frequently get requests for vests with Circulatory Cooling Technology.
These vests work in a very different way than our regular PCM vests.
Circulatory cooling vests use a combination of ice water and pumps to push cold water through special tubes built into a vest.
This allows for a continuous flow of cool water around the upper body, keeping the user cool and comfortable in any condition.
The lightweight backpack that holds the ice water, pump and battery can be easily refilled for continuous cooling over extended periods, up to 5 hours.
Backpack and vest are connected by a hose but can easily be disconnected without leakage.
A switch on the shoulder strap allows the user to control the amount of cooling as desired.

We're currently investigating the possibility to offer these vests to our customers for a competitive price compared to some other manufacturers of circulatory cooling vests.
The vests we're looking at are designed and assembled in the US and come with a one year warranty.

Pros compared to PCM vests:
- Switch on/off cooling on demand
- More cooling power
- Allows more time in suit (up to 5 hours)
- Vest is very thin: 5 mm / 0.20 inch

Cons compared to PCM vests:
- You have to wear a small backpack (protrudes about 10 cm / 4 inch)
- Your costume needs a small opening on the side allowing the hose connection between vest and backpack
- A circulatory cooling vest is more expensive: 2.5 - 3 times the price of an EZCooldown PCM vest.

I just returned from CesFur where I had the pleasure of being this year’s GOH.
Wow, what an AMAZING con that was! I’m still enjoying the afterglow of so much warmth and friendliness.
If you ever have the opportunity to attend this con in the Czech Republic, I definitely recommend going there.
Besides the nice folks, good hotel and beautiful location, it’s very, very cheap compared to Western-European standards.
You REALLY want to go there! :)


Next week I’ll be attending Anthrocon.

This 3:30 min. video will be something you’ve never seen before. It’s a music video, not based on music but on a concept.
 FoxAmoore and  PepperCoyote created a brilliant song inspired by this video and  Shay wrote the lyrics.
This project took over 2 months of preparation and involves 50 fursuiters from 8 different countries.
They all traveled to a beautiful location in The Netherlands where we shot the video this Spring.

Looking back at 2014 and to what it brought to me makes me a very happy and thankful wolf.

2015 looks probably even more promising: Within a few days I'll travel to Australia for Confurgence. To be honest: I'm not looking forward to the 36 hr. trip but having alectorfencer as my travel companion and being invited as a Special Guest for Confurgence makes it all good!

The next con planned is Nordic FuzzCon where I'll be Guest of Honor, together with the very talented  eosfoxx I've never been GoH before and it makes me feel honored but at the same time it scares the crap out of me... I'm not used of standing in the spotlight. I prefer to CONTROL the spotlight and being BEHIND the camera in stead of standing in front of it. So, if you attend NFC, please be gentle with me :s

I'll be guest of honor at another con t.b.a. within a few weeks. Hopefully by then I'll be a little bit more comfortable with this whole GoH thing.

2014 was a very creative year. I was lucky to do a documentary with  foxamoore in Abbey Road Studios. Beside that I produced some furry music & dance videos, a promo video for  alectorfencer's 'Myre' and much more. Check: http://www.youtube.com/theezwolf to see it all.

Are you a hard-core fursuiter? You can reactivate your PCM inserts in less than 20 minutes in our ice water tank and back on the dance floor you go!

A few days ago I learned that the Estrel hotel's minibars can't be used for other purposes than cooling fancy and expensive drinks. Taking these drinks out of the fridge means you have to pay for them, no matter if you place them back afterwards. This is particularly a problem for fursuiters who own an EZcooldown cooling vest as they depend on a cooling facility to activate their vests.

To be sure that EZcooldown customers can enjoy their cooling vest during Eurofurence, I decided to invest (quiet heavily :s) in an adequate solution. So, in the fursuit lounge there will now be a super cooler, providing 950 liters of ice water per hour. In this cooler's tank you can activate your PCM inserts in about 20 minutes, much faster than in a hotel minibar :)
You can find this cooler in the corner behind the paw dryer. Many thanks to Mystifur for providing the last available square meter for this! :)

- I'm currently working on a video together with Shay which will be premièred during the dance competition at Eurofurence. Trust me: you don't want to miss this little gem, so be sure to come and see if you're attending!
