Where do all the new watchers come from?
Posted 9 years agoUsually I have a fairly steady flow of new watchers, but the last week was pretty high. My guess is some of my pieces where featured on some Tumblr or Twitter post.
In case anyone tries to reach me: I'm skiing.
Posted 9 years agoI'm gone till next weekend. Only limited availability.

Have to say the result of ENTP-A ("The Debater") is pretty fitting.
You can read more about it here: https://www.16personalities.com/entp-personality

Made a commission queue trello
Posted 9 years agoI removed my commission queue from my profile page and made a trello. It allows me more easily to track different stuff.
How much I spend and which artists take especially long for example...
Anyway, here is the link: https://trello.com/b/t8SdsKGe/f1r3w.....0r-commissions
You can find the link on my profile page as well.

Posted 9 years agoOur router just died once again. He does that from time to time. -.-
Anyone interested watching model robotic horse cock?
Posted 9 years agoI've been thinking of continuing work on this thing here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18876096/
If I were to stream it, I would probably start in about 1 to 2 hours.
Anyone interested in watching and talking and stuff?

• What is the name of your fursona?
Alec the Zebra (I should probably get a last name for him. >.<)
• Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
It started out in the MLP fandom, specifically Fallout: Equestria. Back then I had a zebra called Alex. When I slowly moved over to the furry fandom, I just took him with me. Shortly after I got to know Sharp, whose real name is Alex as well, so I changed it to Alec.
• What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
He is a zebra. I kinda only chose those because I like the zebra lore in MLP and Fallout: Equestria more than the standard pony fare.
• What color is your fursona and why? Hair/fur/eye/ect
He has just the normal zebra colors of white and black. Only his eyes are light blue.
• What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your RL personality?
He used to be rather shy with new people, but just like myself actually became more confident and open. To people he knows though, he can be a mischievous trickster and tease. He is pretty much 100% me apart from wearing femboi clothes that openly. Haha.
• What is one item your fursona owns that is significant to you in RL?
Mmmh he doesn't really have any item I also have IRL apart from some of the clothes. I guess it would be the rainbow ear rings as a symbol that I also don't hide my sexuality. (In theory they would need to be the colors of the pan flag, but rainbow just looks nicer. >.<)
• What is one thing you think you would say to your fursona if you could meet?
"You are a slut. Nice butt though."
• What is one thing your fursona would say to you if you could meet?
"All just because you made me that way, you kinky fucker!"
• How has your fursona changed over the years?
As I said before, he started out as a MLP shape zebra and then became anthropomorph. He also got the piercings and a more luscious mane and tail.
• How long have you had this fursona?
By now I think it's a bit more than 3 years, if you count the MLP stuff. As an anthropomorph though...maybe 1 to 1 1/2 years.
• Would you like to be more like your fursona?
Oh yeah definitely. I wish I would have the courage to wear the same femmy clothes every day. I already do that to some extent, but at some point people start to look really weird at you and judge you harshly, so eh. Maybe I just don't have the guts or it's just myself keeping me from physical or verbal harm.
Oh and definitely the piercings. Especially the belly button one.

Finished Fallout 4 and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Posted 9 years agoTHE JOURNAL WILL BE SPOILER FREE, I CAN'T GUARANTEE THAT FOR THE COMMENTS THOUGH!
Fallout 4
I visited every single location and tried out most of the perks. I also installed tons of mods to either fix stuff that was broken game play wise or enhance the experience. I really liked it for the most part. The locations were fun to scout out, most of the side quests were really good. I just missed a bit more equipment. In the end there are not a terrible lot of different weapons out there. (I especially wanted an automatic .50 cal. What the hell am I supposed to do with 3000 bullets for a slow ass sniper rifle? <.< ) Also you max out fairly quickly on the best power armor you can get.
What I don't understand again and again with Bethesda games is that they manage to write really good side quests, but still manage to write bad and at times nonsensical main quests for every game they make. The best example here is, that the game has four factions that have varying degrees for beef with each other from the start. There are those relationships of "We don't even care about these guys at all." up to "We need to purge all of those fuckers." And yet, no matter which faction you choose, at some point in the main story they suddenly turn murderous and want you to kill everyone else. (Could be that I just played it in a weird constellation, because I wanted to do as many quests as I can.) I don't know. It was better than Skyrim, but it still leaves a lot to be desired, if you compare it to New Vegas. Also there is almost no way of a peaceful play through. There are people trying to do it and they basically have to exploit the game to make it work.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
I finished it and it was a lot better than Fullmetal Alchemist. Even the fights were good, really spectacular and not overly drawn out. It also had a nice twist at the end. I think it established itself as one of my most favorite anime right next to Cowboy Bebop.

I'm up for split commissions!
Posted 10 years agoI just wanted to put that out there. I also updated my profile accordingly with a link to my f-list.
Since it's been asked multiple times:
I don't have a fixed idea or artist. I depends on who I'd be doing a split commission with.
If you are interested just shoot me a message and we can talk ideas and try to find an artist we both like that and can afford.

In a Bethesda game, death isn't your greatest enemy...
Posted 10 years agoIt's bugs that actually make you invincible.
The Fallout 4 quest "Confidence Man", has such a bug. In the course of the quest you will get into a fist fight in a bar, that should end in a non-lethal way. Problem is, if you do anything in that fight to your opponents you are fucked. All of the participants in that fight are temporarily marked "essential" (means they don't die, the just fall unconscious), including you. And if you don't let your ally in the fight knock them down but do it yourself instead, the game omits deleting that essential flag. So now you are invincible, but those other two dudes you have to kill later are too. Means you can't complete the quest.
In the end I tinkered around with the console and save game editing for about an hour before resorting to loading a 3 hour old save, because everything else didn't work 100%.
What do we learn from all of this? Make hard saves after every completed location, quest or even just shopping spree. That way you don't loose as much as I did. :/

My opinion on Fallout 4
Posted 10 years agoFirst just some things I don't like:
Being a Fallout player from the first game on (I mean the one made by Black Isle, not Fallout 3), I can't say I like that they got rid of the skills. That could also have something to do with me also liking to play Fallout inspired PnP RPGs, but still.
The other thing is the lip syncing. I think that's the first time it's so glaringly obvious to me how bad it sometimes is. That's not necessarily only the fault of the sync itself, but also of the weird mouth rigging, the mouth models and the missing self shadowing of the mouth. All contributes to some really weird sights when you see mouths in motion. This is especially apparent, if a character is lit from behind, not so much from the front.
Now the things I like:
The leveling up of perks is a nice twist. With the amount of base level perks you have already and some of them being able to be leveled up to five times and the missing character level cap is really nice and provides potentially open ended game play.
The weapons seems to be a bit easier to handle compares to the previous iterations of the Gamebryo engine, especially ranged weapons.
----MILD SPOILER (about 4 hours in)----
Finding a functioning suit of power armor plus Minigun and fighting a Deathclaw with it is also a really nice introduction.
----SPOILER END----
A mixed bag:
At some points I can really see that Adam Adamowicz left us before this game was finished. May he rest in piece. By that I don't mean the game looks bad aesthetically, I just miss his unique style sometimes.
At the same time the rest of the team did a fantastic job of filling in the gaps and putting in their own ideas.
Overall I really like where the new look ended up. I definitely like that the game doesn't give off such a despairing doomsday vibe anymore, as Fallout 3 did. It is also a bit less cartoony looking and more grounded in reality. It makes the whole atomic age art deco seem less out of this world.
Overall so far I like it.
----SMALL SPOILER (about 10 minutes in)----
PS: Am I the only one who immediately had to think of this video when they discovered that the baby's name was Shaun? ^^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t0uCWjQ6Og
----SPOILER END----

I have a neat idea...
Posted 10 years ago...I think I'll start a small tradition. Whenever I play a new game I like I'll commission someone to draw Alec cosplaying as one of the characters from the corresponding game. So far I'd probably commission something for Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid V. Later on probably Fallout 4 as well.
Some people...
Posted 10 years ago...are really just terrible.
There's this one Unreal Engine indie dev I've been following on twitter and they actually make some pretty good stuff. But sadly that doesn't automatically mean they are a decent human being.
Recently they tweeted this:
Gentle reminder to several people that TB is, like, dying. Soon. And we already know he says rude/dumb things. Let him have what he has.
Since the author is a transgender woman, I can only guess that the "rude/dumb things" were meant as something misogynistic or the like. I couldn't fucking believe it. I mean you might have your opinion on him for saying things you don't find OK (I've never seen or heard TotalBiscuit say things like that), but wishing him the death for it? WTF?!
