The number of deaths in the world is an always growing number. Its not something you can truly comprehend. Millions of lives constantly ending and being born. Yet it seems like the whole world stops when someone you know dies. When I found out that my friend Gwynevere had passed on, murdered by her father, I was distraught. It could happen to anyone. That was so long ago. Years since then every trans day of rememberence I say their name. Every name of someone I knew who died and was trans. It matters most to me.

Just the other day, a friend of mine was shot and killed by the local police during a "wellness check". I'll never forgive the Vancouver police for murdering them. For posting in the media about how they killed a woman. They killed them and then misgendered them in the post. I'm worried that I'll die like they did one day, during another unchecked "wellness check". That I, like them, will become just too hard to deal with, and I'll be murdered by cops. Just like that.
