Hello all! It's been awhile!

Art Uploads
Sometime last October, I started developing a more seizure-friendly art style that I could create on my iPad. I have been relatively consistent in using it to produce new art on an almost daily basis! All of it has been uploaded to my social media over the last year, but not to my art sites because... well, my art sites made me kinda sad. It felt crappy having to abandon my old art style due to seizures, you know? Anyway... The disappointment doesn't sting as much now so I'm going to start uploading my backlog of little doodles. It's a lot of Pokemon, some video games, some anime, and some cute animals. I ended up with a lot of Pokemon because it was the easiest thing for me to draw to keep my head in a good space. ^^;

Woot Shirts
As for Woot shirts, Woot changed up the derby so that getting the most votes doesn't ensure a print anymore. They've basically changed the derby to be a vehicle to get them free shirt designs from artists. All designs entered automatically turn over their permanent and exclusive printing rights to Woot. Woot pays the artist nothing. Winning shirts are determined by Woot staff and not votes. It's a bit scammy now. I'll be submitting designs directly to them, but that's it. I do like their new blanks, though. So comfy. Outside of that, I will be uploading new designs to Society6, Redbubble, and other print on demand sites. Over the last year, I've learned to use Illustrator so we can have way more cute foxes and cats and other animals on a variety of products now!

Patreon & Ko-fi
The Patreon has been monthly for a bit and I've kicked out full zip files for those consistently! It's mostly Procreate timelapses, but I've recently added phone wallpapers and a coloring page to the $5 tier. I will also be opening a Ko-fi soon. (https://www.patreon.com/fablefire)

So around the time I did those last shirt design (Cat Medicine), I started getting seizures while doing artwork or other similar visualization tasks. Hence, the lack of artwork.

I am just now getting the go ahead to try artwork again and ease back into it, depending on pain and seizures. Hopefully, I can get back to work Soon ™.

In the meantime, I've been working on streaming on Twitch (ASMR and gaming), creating an ASMR channel on Youtube, and getting my candle shop ready to go for the fall. Over the years, a number of you have asked "Hey FF, why don't you do NSFW art? Do you not like money?" The answer is that I didn't need to because I had a sizable savings account and I didn't want to because I suck at anatomy. Well now, it's time. After years of success with super saccharine, itty bitty animal chibis, it is time to branch out into the NSFW land. This will help me both pay bills AND feel more comfortable with anatomy. OH BOY!

I will still keep doing super cute, itty bitty animals, but this will be a secondary project. Hopefully, the project will go as follows:

Turns out I've been pretty severely anemic for awhile. Oopsie. One of the challenges of being a chronic cripple is that doctors sometimes forget to recheck the basics. I can feel my hands and feet again, which is pretty cool. It takes a long time to recover from hardcore anemia though, so progress will be slow. Still working on the migraines and insomnia and neuro pain and shit.

In the meantime, the bills are piling high and my 6 month rehab time is up. Back to work. As such, I am putting more time into Patreon and Commissions. I have an Etsy store. One of my favorite things about conventions was prepping traditional art and selling in art shows and at the table. TL;DR - I moved across town. Freak snow storm has left me without a car for a week and only half of my apartment. Will return soon.

Here's my last couple weeks:

- Looked at an apartment on Jan 2. Turned out to be what I needed.
- Had pre-funeral family thing Jan 6.
- Funeral thing Jan 7.
- Signed lease Jan 7.
- Could not move smaller things personally on the 8th due to freak ice storm and steep parking lot at new place.
- Had one day to clear out old apt on Jan 9 - just enough for movers.
- Movers for big furniture on Jan 10.
- Freak snow storm started literally as I was finishing up paperwork with movers on Jan 10.
- Been stuck in my apartment without half my art suppiles or kitchen or car or whatever else since Jan 10 due to freak snow storm. We got about 8in of snow in 2-3hrs, which is a record for Portland.

So yeah woohoo! A very memorable move. New shirt design tomorrow and some cost efficient digital commissions opening this week.

1) The Megaplex freebies are done! If you haven't received yours via twitter or FA yet, I'll be posting a few batches over the next week. 2) My Patreon will be changing up! I'll be adding 3+ pieces of concept art or sketch work per week for both tiers - yes, the $1 tier too. I must've done these like, three times over by now. Oh well.

Still #notdeadyet. So there's that. Health has been on the slow recovery since the ER trip but the lungs have finally started to stabilize and not kill me on a daily/weekly basis. Make sure you take care of your lungs. They seem to be important. I also found out that I most likely need to move because of my medical situation (environmental factors), so I've had to gut my apartment and sort of change things up in anticipation for a move. I wanted to wait to come back until I thought I could stay back for awhile. So now that health and apartment things are quasi-stabilized (not good, but stabilized) I'll start things slowly again. Let's see if I can not KO myself this time.

Work stuff!

1) Shirts - I've started subbing shirts to Woot again. Dailies only so far, which means they got subbed through the site and not the derby contest. Also means that I can't really show them. I will return to derbies at some point when my health is a little better. I've got shops reserved at Threadless and DBH, which will have other less woot-friendly designs like "Time To Fox Shit Up" or the Bees vs Wasps series.

2) Megaplex - Do not buy the cintiq companion. Ever. Fuck that system. I keep trying to use it. It keeps staying "fuck you". Will be streaming the rest of the Megaplex '15 freebies, so keep an eye out if you want to watch.

3) Commissions - I've had too many sick days and need to start making moolah again to pay for things like rent and medical bills - both for me and new cat. (New cat story later.) I will be opening slots for specific products only (i.e. copic colored ACEOS, 7x10 watercolors, digital icons, etc). Keep an eye out for details. Commission site will be updated as each "product" gets released. New products will include watercolors and colored pencil work. :O

4) Twitch - Will be back soon. Like, real soon. No schedule. Any time I can work on digital work for 2-3hrs in one sitting, I'll stream it. Prolly no cam. Maybe mic.

5) Cons - A number of super awesome folks have been keeping me apprised of convention signups and such. You are all super awesome. I will not be doing conventions though until my health is more stabilized at "good". Basically, I am just barely functioning right now. I stay barely functional as long as nothing crazy happens. SO... While that's really great progress, it's not quite con-level health. We'll get there. Probably. Maybe. >_>

Aaaaaaand that's it, I think. Hoping I will not go to the ER for the rest of the year. :x
