Happy 2016! ~ Updates and Resolutions!

Happy New Year!
~ ~ ~ . ҉ . ~ ~ ~Hope everyone had a wonderful new years eve, stayed safe and had fun! I didn't really do much myself, but relax -which is much harder to come by with a baby that's nearly a year old now! Jan 9!- and Skype'd my mother who wanted to see my face and wish me a happy new year after midnight. But I enjoyed it none-the-less, and it gave me a bit of time to think about the goals I wanna accomplish this year.
1 -- More art!
I really need to like, schedule times during the day that I should draw/sketch/whatever. But I do need to make that more consistent for sure. 'Cause I really do LOVE drawing, it's just been really hard getting used to not getting to just sit for hours on end and work on things. But I am determined this year to make it work, and I'll start with art that I owe friends/family....and then I'll work on adoptables and personal stuff, because I've got plenty of my own person characters that need to be fleshed out and given some love!
2 -- Make some mullah?
Because I want to, not because I need to. It'll be nice to have the extra money. So it may coincide with the "more art" goal, but I do know that I wanna try and make this work this year. I'm unsure about doing commissions, or even how to start them, or price them....I just.... @.=.@ I'll hopefully get this figured out....Adoptables will definitely be an option obviously, and I've already got quite a few ideas planned out, just need the motivation to do it!
And non-art related goals include -but aren't limited to: find videos to teach my son Vincent sign language, start taking more walks, go to the library more, spoil my scaley child Nahimana (corn snake :3) so she doesn't feel left out, maybe upgrade Vincent's fish tank so the Beta I got has more room to roam -and in turn get him some compatible friends. There's so much I plan to do this year, I don't even know...but I will be more determined than ever to accomplish them, I don't want to keep giving myself unmotivated, empty promises...so this year I want to be much different.
And on this glorious first day of the new year...My baby boy took his first steps by himself today!!!! It was only a few, but it nearly made me cry!! What a happy way to begin the new year!!

Posted 10 years agoSo, slowly but steadily working on things to post in terms of art....SLOWLY is the very big word here. Child has been crawling around now for a couple months, standing himself up with the help of other objects, AND he's very inquisitive/curious...so needless to say he tends to get into trouble quite often. ;P Love him to bits though.
HOPEFULLY, I'll have some new things to post relatively soon. Got some new characters I'm drawing up/figuring out, so they've been on my mind alot. Working on some adoptables, and got a plan for Fall/Halloween themed batches :3 so I'll finally have some more things to post on my adoptables account ~ http://www.furaffinity.net/user/silvercloud-makes ~ give it a watch if you wish! <3
On another note
SweetPupperoo posted a signal boost for a fur in need, if ya got the time or the means, please have a look. At the very least continue the signal boost if that's all you have to give.

lost her home a few days ago to a fire and her husband is still in critical condition. I don't know ALL the details but I know if I lost my home, I'd want people to signal boost for ME. Eekgads!!...Finally a sign of life!

...Things have been quite hectic this past year...
Dealing with college, eventually dropping out of college, moving out of Kfalls...but the biggest -and honestly the best change so far- happened last summer after I moved back in with my parents...I found out I was PREGNANT! So the majority of my hiatus was spent dealing with that...and having my mate and baby-daddy off working in a different state made things a little difficult, but manageable...THEN...
♥ ♥ January 9th I was blessed with the birth of my little hatchling! ♥ ♥
A little boy, who was 7 lbs 5 oz and 19 1/2 inches, and utterly adorable and perfect! This is a big change in my life, especially since it was very much unplanned, but so far....he's been worth every precious moment, and I can't imagine my life without him now. My mate was able to just barely make it to the birth, cutting it very close cause I had the little one mere hours after he arrived at the hospital, so that added to the specialness of the occasion.
So once I get a schedule figured out, I will start to draw more, and in turn, post more art stuffs...because I am long overdue to have new stuff on my page >.=.> I honestly didn't really draw much while pregnant either. Heheheh
Anyways, I will try my best this year not to completely disappear. And I will post stuff as often as possible, even if it's just simple little sketches that I happen to like a lot.

.....But oh my goodness what an amazing-awesome-epic con it was this year! ♥
We grew so much it's not even funny....we went from over 700 last year (which did set a record for a first con ;). Tehe) and now we're at over 1500!!! We broke even more records this year, than we did last year.....and we are now officially the 7th largest convention in the world (I believe). Even our number of suiters nearly tripled from 100-ish to nearly 500 (I think we were at 465)!!
So much dancing and partying and dancing, and hanging out with friends, and buying stuff from the dealers. It was all just amazing....I don't think I have ever danced so much in my life! My legs are still hurting like a mofo because of it...but it was SO worth it.
Hahaha we partied so hard at the dances we ended up loosening 6/7 light-bulbs from the ceiling from the much-too-much-awesome amount of base we used, shorted a section of power circuits, one of the DJ's fried his laptop.....oh, AND we shifted the dance floor over three feet, multiple times. BLFC knows how to party right! ♥♥

Now for the real treat! ^.=.^
The wonderful charity we were sponsoring this year ~SafeHaven Rescue Zoo~ got an amazing amount of money from us.
At closing ceremonies, they were brought up and asked the what the biggest donation they have ever gotten before was...They said around 8,000-ish dollars.....
AND THEN WE HAPPILY GAVE THEM A LITTLE MAKE-SHIFT CHECK WITH OVER 16,000 DOLLARS ON IT!!!!!
We made them so happy, they got all emotional ^.=.^ ...and I'm sure plenty of people in the audience did too. *cough* Not me *cough*. Made me feel good knowing we helped a good cause!

Again though, wonderful con! ♥ ♥ ♥ I loved seeing all my friends I made last year, and meeting so many new people! And I can't wait to see how it turns out next year! *crossing fingers and hoping I can make it*BLFC - To the MAX!
