So, I am finding myself in a pretty bad situation financially speaking and I am forced to go to outside help... On Saturday evening, my dog got very sick and continued being sick till Sunday morning. I took her to the vet and left her in their care as they got her on fluids. They kept her overnight for care and on Monday afternoon, they said she was ready for pick up.

Upon arriving, they told me the bill and it was much more than I could afford to pay. After asking about some sort of payment plan, I was informed that they didn't do that and everything had to be paid for at pickup. I spoke to the Dr. and he was very nice, but there was nothing he could do so the only option was to leave my dog at the vet's till I could somehow come up with the money to pay. Meanwhile, the Dr. was going to try and keep the cost down, but there would be some charges for my dog's care. I can't get my dog till I get the money...

It is not Wednesday and I still don't have enough to pay the bill. I am not asking for any handouts or anything... It is embarrassing and frustrating to be in this position, but all I'm asking is that people go to my shops and see if there is anything they might be interested in buying. If not, then I ask people to please share the information and links to the shops so others may look and possibly buy. Even traffic to my shops might help make a sale.

Well, I know I haven't been around or submitting anything... But to be honest I haven't been doing any art for a myriad of reasons with my personal life being in a bit of turmoil and movement. I am trying to get into school for Game Design and along that line I am trying to raise funds for it.

A scandal in the art community has been revealed and I recommend you finding out about it because if it can happen to others, it can happen to you.

Chad Love Liberman and 'artist' made his money (and a lot of it) from stealing work from DA, reposting on his Art4Love.com site (now down) and selling prints for up to $1000. Below is a tumblr user who has a list of links to not just sites but artists who have been stolen from. I recommend that if you know of art that has been taken you contact her or the artist.

What is great is that this guy committed plagiarism to write an article about copyright laws. (sarcasm)

Most links to his sites are down, but we should be aware of these sort of things because the truth is, we have to police ourselves most of the time.

So, I'm sure many people have wondered where I am and what's with the lack of art...

The past year has been rather up and down as I'm sure you've seen in the few posts I've made in 2008. Things sort of rolled up in a ball and fell apart in a lot of ways at the end of last year. While loading up the new OS Leopard into my iMac, I lost everything as my computer ended up having to be wiped - luckily most everything was on my backup drive. But I had to reinstall everything back in (all the programs). I tried to look at it as a 'starting over' situation and positive. I got Corel Painter for my birthday, but realized that my tablet wasn't acting right - because I didn't reload the installation disc and I couldn't find them for a week. I finally did find them on my drawing table (under a bunch of crap, which shows I haven't been drawing or doing any art...) and installed them. But now Corel Painter isn't working. On top of that, my iMac is randomly shutting down while I'm using it... I can't afford a new computer right now and I'm getting concerned.

In this last year I have lost 3 aunts and 1 uncle from my father's side. There is now only one uncle left and he is very ill. I've lost 4 other relatives. There have been family issues left and right and while I won't go into all of it, it has been mentally and emotionally taxing.

My job has fallen apart a bit - we moved to a new location and since then, my boss has changed. Or maybe, he was always like this and better able to hide things. But now he says things and does things and I am trying not to take them as insults, but... it makes me wonder what kind of person he really is and what he really thinks inside. This last year of conventions, my profits were pretty miserable thanks to a poor economy.

Aside from all of that, I've had ups and downs with bouts of depression and severe lack of inspiration on top of still being single with no prospects. I know, I sound like a basket case right?

I'm glad 2008 is over and done with.

I want to get back to art and playing WoW and doing things that made me happy. I'm going to be looking for work and getting myself together again.

I want to thank all of those who have fav'd artwork and been supportive of me here and other places, in real life and on the 'net. I'm looking forward to 2009 as a year of growth and change for me. Things will get better... I believe that. And I can make things better for myself.
