Hey all. c: I've been pretty quiet lately, the reason is I've moved out to Kansas City to get a job. FC was a ton of fun but I'm afraid I shall skip the aftermath report since I shan't have real internet until a week or two. Also I am sick and that makes moving less fun. >v< Achoo!

This is a very exciting time for me. I've got a job in Kansas City, FC is approaching quickly, I've graduated for the last time; it does feel like a big year! A few New Year's resolutions for this bird: get bulkier, start drawing and painting seriously, get back into music and violin in particular, take some cooking classes, and spend more time outdoors with friends.

Hello lovlies! Well, I'm relaxing in sunny San Diego with extended family for the better part of my Christmas holiday; as my featured submission might imply, I am a big fan of the season, though there is no snow in my future! *fluffs warmly* C: I can't wait to see my friends at FC and meet a whole lot of new exciting people as well. More on this later as the time approaches.

In the meanwhile I wish everybody reading this a merry Christmas. I hope you get to spend it with some special people.

Hey all you wonderful people. :} Just got back to my humble little home a couple hours ago after one of the most awesome experiences in my life! It's only my second con and already I'm wishing I had gone to others in the past! The short: MFF was awesome (yeah!), the hotel was great, the artists' den and alley were bustling, and the location wasn't too bad (actually that kind of sucked, food was far away but fortunately I had my car).

The long: I was rooming with Stripes, Nazurah57 and his boyfriend Hellbenderrat, all excellent people who were kind enough to put up with an excited little griff like me. Thursday was mostly kicking back and sitting through a HUGE LONG line to prereg ... Friday I attending the opening ceremony in the grand ballroom, and then spend forever hanging out in the alley and den, talking to people and generally being a nuisance. I got a few neat commissions from some people ( gnaw, milady  likeshine,  modemredpill,  spelunkersal,  knuxlight,  ironfeathers,  hibbary,  tkddbull, Reggie Wolf,  doirn), a few of which I'll be posting in a bit and all of which turned out wonderfully! Met a host of great furs who I can't remember ...  larus,  nekochen (who also did some wonderful fanart for me!!) and her hubby  merrickswiftclaw (I could have made a sword-greasing joke there but nah), the quiet yet confident  suckmcjones,  blastgoggles,  gravewalker, my sister in Christ  kri, the lovely and talented  myenia, and many more who I don't remember/can't find on FA. During the course of the next few days, I got my ass handed to me a few times in the game room, got a little drunk, danced a ton, sang a lot, and got tired of hearing French. :P

Thanks to everyone who took the time to talk to me and make this such a special event! I'll be at FC soon and I can't wait to meet up with folks!! ^v^ You're all amazing people.

On Tuesday the 11th of October 2011, Athus was involved in a severe car collision that ended his time here with us. The 29 years of his life were filled with amazing stories, incredible adventures and outstanding creativity and talent. He shared his love of life, affection for others and sense of humor with many wonderful people. As someone who was privileged to spend a couple weeks with Athus and Narse last year and speaking with Athus for a time prior and after, this is difficult to hear. He was a wonderful friend to me. May he rest in peace.
