Digital icon auction
Posted 16 years agoI've got a digital icon auction up on furbid - Dutch, 5 icons available :)
http://www.furbid.ws/cgi-bin/auctio.....item=232349257

Lineart: $25+
Simple/flat coloured picture: $30+
Coloured pieces: $40+
Digital paintings: $60+
Conbadges: $15+
Reference sheets: $35+

Painted icons?
Posted 17 years agoWould anyone be interested in icons done in a painted style similar to the wolf paint I dit the other day? My usual 'painted' icons still use lineart, but I'm thinking of changing my list to have painted icons be just that - lineless paintings. I'd still offer the other style of course, but as 'digitally coloured' icons.
I need to do more icons. o..o
Pricing for them... hm. $15 like the old price I think, and that gets you the full size image (around 500-600 pixels wide) and a 100X100 icon crop. Good value for a painting :P

Back from Genghiscon, open for art! and uh, Sore foot.
Posted 17 years agoGenghiscon ROCKED.
It's small so you don't get lost in a sea of people, it's local so it's full of people you either know or can get to know, and it's organised well enough that even with few panels and workshops on at the same time you're always enjoying yourself.
I brought along Lhakhty (blue cobra partial by Mixedcandy) along with my good ol' cloak, leather armour (beautifully tooled scaled kinda breastplate with upper arm guards and raven head spaulders) and gauntlets and my chainmain coif. I wore bits and pieces of all of those in odd combinations for most of the con, and that was hilarious fun. Lhakhty with the leather armour kicks arse :P
I also managed to win the logo design competition somehow - I did a quick sketch of a dragon bust wearing a jacket and cravat and the genghiscon shield as a monocle. Had no idea what they were after, but I did like it so I stuck it in the box, and now it gets used not only as the con logo for next year, but also as the T-shirt. I get a free shirt and possibly even free membership. KICK ARSE!
Managed to bugger up my foot on the last day, quite a nasty sprain of the ol' right foot so I'm limping around like a cripple.
In light of my sedentary position, I'm still open for commissions and can probably get smaller ones done very quickly indeed. Anything from sketches to simple lineart, paintsketches, simple icons and badges will probably be done in a day or so depending on communication, so if you want something done now's the chance to get it done fast! :)
http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/425160/ <-- prices are in here, ask if uncertain :)

Genghiscon get
Posted 17 years agoSo, spent all of last night helping Gilly finish her cute Cthulhu costume (I did kinda most of the head. woo) and watching the mighty boosh.
I will be attending Genghiscon, which is a tiny but very fun nerdcon (gaming/scifi/geekery etc) that I have not attended for years.
I shall have fun, I think.

Coming up on 10k pageviews. Uh... wow :P
Posted 17 years agoYeah, I'm kinda surprised at that. But hey, an AMAZING artist like me with an FA rank of 2372 (95.60%) LIEK OMG </sarcasm>
Heh. yeah. Kinda surprised, but it's nice anyway. Prolly take a month or two to get there, but it's kinda nice to know people have been visiting my page even if it is just to... I dunno, spit bile on their browser at the sight. Woo!
I don't really do the whole screencap for a prize thing, so don't bother with that, not that anyone really would :P
Uh, still open for arty commissions too. Kinda feel like doing some quick, loose painty jobs but have no ideas of my own since I'm a lifeless expressionless drone. Thing.

Sketchamathon. Ideas drive! Donate brain matter!
Posted 17 years agoWell, the fruits OF brain matter.
It's that time again folks, where I'm itching to draw stuff but have no ideas aside from 'um... bugger it, draw a dragon :D' and so I'd love to pick all your brains!
I'm looking for more general ideas, and as per my no freebies policy (see http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/459601/) I'll be ignoring any requests asking me to draw your character or something that reeks of blatant self-interest :P
Also, no adult stuff. I'm on a bit of a clean art kick at the mo, and while I'm still fine to do adult pics for commissions, I'm happy to try to keep my personal art clean for now :)
So! Anything you'd like to see me attempt? Dragons are always a huge favourite, but I do tend to get stuck in a rut with facial construction. Any ideas for facial features that I don't usually do?
Anything to get my brain pumping a little. Who knows, might get sketched... Prolly the closest you'll get to free art from me, eh? ;)

Updated main page + IM details
Posted 17 years agoUpdated yes. All current now.
If you do add me to your IM list, please just respect my rules about IMing - those being simply:
*Don't message me unless you've got something to actually say other than 'Hi' or other one word miscellanea.
*No random youtube or 'funny pic' links or whatever, I don't click them.
*No roleplaying or innapropriate messages - those being sexual or just plain creepy.
*No work-related stuff - all commission communication happens through email please.
I'm shy when it comes to chatting, and I've developed something of a short fuse when it comes to annoying messages. Had to abandon my old IM accounts for reasons related to the above, and now I've got new accounts I'll be quite happy on the ban button if things get unmanageable.
Thanks. :)

Art woo and weasels
Posted 17 years agoShall hopefully be posting pics of a completed suit in the next few days - tis a nice one and I'm proud of it :)
The rest of this month shall be spent finishing off a large painted poster commission and possibly taking smaller ones if anyone's interested - still closed for large commissions such as painted stuff, but I've decided that I'll take it on a case by case basis, so if there's something you'd like from me I'll be able to tell you if I'm up for it or if it'd be a bit tricky to get done fast.
Fast is the order of the day right now - Basically, if you commission me and communication is good, I'm aiming to do art that I can get done in a day or so. Good for christmas presents maybe :P
Icons, badges, quick coloured pics, inked stuff, nice detailed sketches... all possible if I feel I can get it done quickly :)
Now if my intestines would stop churning like there's a kitchen knife convention happening in there, I'd be happy.

$5 really fast headshot sketches. One week!
Posted 17 years agoXposted from livejournal:
Lightning fast cheap headshot sketches! No slots, just open until I say otherwise.
$5 USD for a quick but nice head/bust sketch of a character of your choice. As they're sketches and only $5, payment's upfront (IE I won't start it until I've received payment), and if I'm online they'll most probably be done in half an hour or less. My paypal address is fallimar@hotmail.com.
They'll be this kind of size as a maximum, possibly smaller but possibly more detailed depending on character.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1509320/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1486187/
Comment here, email or just put details in the paypal email to order one! This offer will probably last the week, tentative closing date for the $5 head sketches is next saturday. Sketches are usually $15 up.
Also still open for badges and icons (and normal sketches too, larger or more detailed ones are still the normal $15+) but closed for anything bigger for now.
Thanks everyone :)

No. Not on.
Posted 17 years agoFetish art of ANY kind has no place as the public face of an art site, furry or otherwise.
Unprofessional and disappointing.
EDIT:
So you know, the first thing I did was adblock it, so don't go off on that. Doesn't change the fact it's inappropriate (and kinda disgusting, though that's a personal feeling). Also - SFW has no bearing on whether something's fetishy or not, don't talk bullcrap :P

Craptastic. :|
Posted 17 years agoFor the first time since I opened for art, I'm having to close for anything larger than an icon, badge or sketch commission. Stress + backlog + brokeness = not happy Falli.
Any commissions I already have will be completed, of course, unless people would prefer refunds, but I won't be able to take on any more commissions, and any that have NOT been paid for will have to be treated as if they're not going ahead to keep me sane.
I know that it'd be easy to take on a couple of large commissions to raise funds (as I'm flat broke with no hope of paid work) but the stress of getting into that kind of situation on top of what I've already got on my plate would lead to brain suicide.
Sketches, icons and badges are still open because I can generally do those in a day and they're not stressful. I will encourage people to ask about these as I enjoy them, and any variety in my work is fantastic for my morale.
Just closed for anything larger than those, until further notice.
Thanks, all.

Rent inspection today, so I can't work on suits until the lady's gone, and in the meantime i'm in that horrible antsy DAMMIT NEED TO DRAW SOMETHING but can't think of what to draw mood. I HATE that mood. Always ends up with me not being able to think of anything I really want to draw and going to bed in a bad mood >:|
Need ideas or... sketch commissions or something to force me to draw. BLAH.

OK! need practice and cash - 3 quick + awesome slots open!
Posted 17 years agoAs the title says - I'm in one of those weird art slumps with a couple of huge commissions to finish, and one smaller one that's doing my head in for some odd reason. :|
So! Three quickie slots as head-clearers, and to help me get back on track. :)
If you're interested in any of the following (only three slots for these particular quickies this time, but I'm ALWAYS open for commissions, just ask via note or email) then note me, comment or email.
Ok - if you want one of these slots - they're for a couple of specific types of commissions, though the content os, of course, up to you within my usual guidelines. You can choose from:
1. A detailed headshot sketch. Kinda like my crazy dragony ones but not limited to reptiles. Any character.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1502459/ - $15
2. A texture paint - Like this kinda, but without as much weird pixelly noise (that came from me doing a quick and dirty job and not smoothing out the texture layers before painting :P)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1615613/ - $30
3. A speedpaint. Like a paintsketch, but more detailed and with a bit more work put in, but still loose and fun and not too fiddly.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1558488/ - $25
4. A traditional sketch! On like... omg... actual paper o..o
Started doing these again after absolute yonks of just... not, but I seem to still be fine at them. Nothing fancy here - boring plain ol' A4 paper, but I'll send it to you if you throw in a couple extra bucks for postage :P
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1547753/ - $20
The slots don't have to be one of each of course, they're just what I'm offering as quickies right now :)
Also, as always, prices may be subject to change depending on complexity, yadda yadda. you've read it all before - just note me w/ questions if you're unsure what I'll do :)
Slots:
1.
2.
3.
And a final note to a wonderfully patient guy: RabbitChaser man, I'm working on your char height ref sheet sketch but it's just not coming out how I want it and I refuse to send you crappy sketches... It's coming, just need to clear my head with something quick and fresh before I make my fourth attempt, k? :)

texture paints, price stuff and portrait slots open :)
Posted 17 years agoJust adding a couple of things to my price list. Texture paints and simple ditital portraits (speedpaintings).
As a reminder, my price list as it stands right now is:
Sketches: $15+
Lineart: $25+
Simple/flat coloured picture: $30+
Coloured pieces: $40+
Digital paintings: $60+
Conbadges: $15+
Reference sheets: $35+
Paintsketches: $15+
I'm adding:
Texture paintings: $30+
Speedpaints: $25+
Examples of the latest two -
Texture paint:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1615613/
Speedpaint: (yes, it's labelled as a paintsketch, but it's far more detailed and polished than a paintsketch should be - it's my new benchmark for work between the paintsketch and full-on digital painting)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1558488/
(also, copypasta commission rules, because people forget them)
All my work is completely digital, so no hard copies to mail out. I don't have access to a good printer, so I don't print and mail out copies without printing and shipping fees (I have to go to a commercial printer).
I always submit the sketch to the commissioner to review before I start on lineart or colour. I'm happy to do revisions, but will have to start charging if the commissioner wants excessive revisions or changes their mind during the commission.
Adult commissions are completely fine, though concept art/descriptions for non-adult commissions MUST be general audience. NO PORN REFS unless you ask first, please.
I'm pretty happy to draw most things, but I won't draw injections or syringes, scat, vomit, cub/underage porn, nonconsentual/rape or overtly religious themes.
I take payment via paypal only, to fallimar[at]hotmail.com - full payment upfront for small pieces, full payment after sketch approval for larger pieces. I am willing to take half at sketch approval and half on completion for larger amounts.
Quick commissions are my specialty! Sketches I can pump out in half an hour, lineart in a couple hours, and I can be persuaded to finish a coloured piece overnight. Rushed work can be of lesser quality though, and rush jobs may incur extra fees if I have to lose sleep or somesuch!

Character list... Wow o..o
Posted 17 years agoI have a hell of a lot of characters, I do.
I almost never draw most of them, but I have the odd sketch somewhere, and I think I need to do more arts of some of them, so I need a list.
Right!
Main characters, IE the ones that kinda sorta represent me:
Fallimar. Duh. My main avatar thingy, silver dragon w/ nostalgia value and simple design. Originally appeared even before I first started drawing (the name popped up in a dream, told to me by a guy with a very striking face, still remember it very clearly. Also, I attatch absolutely NO significance to dreams and stuff, I just thought it was a cool name. hah.) and went through literally hundreds of iterations before I settled on her current design, which may change more.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1583771/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1227090/
Lhakhtsara. My alter ego and alternate nickname. Originally appeared in an old MUD (Imperian, by iron realms) and was a very influential character in that particular world for a long time. Once GM of a guild of very nasty demonologist scholars, she was a barrel of fun to play. vicious as all hell, but incredibly polite and easygoing provided you were courteous and ddn't have anything she needed. Manipulative bitch too - managed to worm her way into various diplomacy positions and wreak much havok on the poor citizens of the 'good' city of Kinsarmar... ah, those were fun days :P
As it stands now, she's an anthro blue cobra. Legs, not naga tail. Recently changed so she has a flat reptilian chest rather than scaly boobs. Still nasty, wears awesome black robes.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1232797/
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a3.....issMonster.jpg <- commission - by Missmonster <3
Shmoo. My huggy, toony, nice, squishy lovable character. Speciesless. Just meant to be cute and fun. I want to make her into a suit :)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1038029/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1026690/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1576216/ <- commission - by Sophie Cabra <3
Now, non-main but recurring characters, IE ones I've drawn more than once, or just really like.
Mejhura Broadfang. An -almost- personal character. Anthro fox, also from a MUD (Lusternia) and is a forestal knight. Crazy with two blades, wears heavy plate armour. She;'s also an exclusive chef (!) with her own cartel and very expensive recipes XD

The salamandragon. Piece of piss to draw, hell on a stick to colour. :P
I couldn't decide on a colour scheme, so I just screwed around while throwing colour theory out the window and came up with something quite horrifying. Love it :P
There's an adult version of this guy in my gallery somewhere too.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1579608/
Pickle. Because I adore tokay geckos, and needed something simple and fun and toony to draw. Cute :)

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1146466/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1146430/
The wombat. No name as of yet, but I kinda identify with wombats. Little bastards :P
This character's supposed to be in pyjamas, as far as I remember.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1514487/
Nepthys. Another one from my MUDding days. Different MUD this time (Lusternia) but same evil bitch vibes, though more just plain nasty from this one. Necromancer. Bugger the niceties and kill, kinda thing XD
She's an Egyptian vulture kinda shape, but is supposed to be kinda... twisted and half demonic/dead/knifed up and... yeah. Has metal blades instead of feathers in some parts, nasty bloodshot eyes and an army of undead creeps.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1557500/
The amur leopard. One of my favourite animals of all time, leopards. Well, fav non-reptilian animal anyway. No name, and pretty much your standard anthro leopard. Amur leopards are gorgeous :)
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/865550/
The concept demon. Unnamed again, mainly because I use him as pose, anatomy and painting practice. I like him :P
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1292639/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1385795/
Kasam Ilthasi. A red dragon. Came up with him a loooong time ago, when I was drafting up my draconic language. (yes. I made up a language, almost a complete one too...needs more vowels and verbs, but the grammar and structure is all there. It's actually... useable... o..o). Now he's pretty much an expendable character, one of my small selection that I've set aside as not representing me in any way, and so it'd be ok to use him in 'adult' situations.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/871133/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1246587/ <NSFW>
The F'nongk. Hah! Only a very recent one, but there's something I really like about this thing. Could be the four arms, could be the dopey face... No idea why I like it so much, and it doesn't even have a colour scheme yet :P
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1579904/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1558603/ <NSFW...ish>
Now, my 'adult' characters. These ones are ones that are pretty much exclusively for having mature artwork done of them, by me or other people, and are 'up for grabs' as it were as far as sexual situations go. None of them represent me in a way that makes me uncomfortable seeing them in naughty situations with random characters.
The herm dragon. Used to kinda be a presonal character but I went off her. None of that 'hir, shi' bollocks with this one either, (dang, I hate that herm gender language stuff) she is transgender but self-identifies as female. Is a switch, fetishist and basically up for anything. Normal-sized junk, too. Nothing stupidly huge.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1008694/ <NSFW>
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1008692/
The tiger snake. Basically an anthro naga-style tiger snake. Supposed to be big, mean and buff, has the hemipene thing and likes to be on top. Probably. Only ever drew this thing once and the sketch is laughably terrible, but linked anyway for lulz :P
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1008575/
Kasam is also one of these, but is recurring so I talked about him before.
Now, minor and 'future' characters. These are the ones I either don't really connect with, just don't draw often or at all, or haven't gotten around to fleshing out.
Styracosaurus. One of my fav. dinos.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1367640/
Parasaurolophus. One of my other fav. dinos!
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1249604/
Anole. I like anoles.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1362469/
Croc guy. I also love crocs.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1495314/ <NSFW>
Spectacled caiman. A critter I REALLY want to flesh out into a character, spectacled caimans are probably my favourite crocodilian :)
Flying gecko. These guys have the most INCREDIBLE physiology. I drew this character once but I can't find the sketch - it's male and kinda has a tribal feel to it.
Gith. No idea why, but the gith are one of my favourite D&D races. Might be the clothing that does it.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1029071/
The crazy dragon. I like the sketch and the inked thing so much I really want to make this guy into a character.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/862837/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/862266/
Twoface monster. Mr. rotato-head. Want to flesh this guy out too.
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1560927/
And... um... a character that has a name and various faces. I can never reaally decide on what this guy's supposed to be, as I've used the name for many characters, but the ones that it stuck to were completely psychotic and mentally deranged. One was a slightly 'touched' mute demonologist with crazy hair, no tongue and slashed, stitched cheeks. The other also had the cheeks, no tongue and hair but was a vampire. Go figure. His name's Mhorn.
So... that's all the ones I can think of right now. I have more, I'm sure of it, just can't find sketches, or remember them off the top of my head. Fwoor!

Ref sheets!
Posted 17 years agoI love doing ref sheets. I love visualising characters from just a brief description, or photos of animals, or... whatever. Getting to use my own creativity to mix characteristics from two species so that both are recognisable, while still keeping it true to the customer's wishes. It makes me really happy!
Also, They're nice and quick - instead of taking me painstaking hours to paint in lighting and detail (which I do enjoy, but in a more focused, technical way) they're flat colour, and I can usually finish them in a day if communication's good.
This is why I've kept their price at a flat $35 - I probably won't raise it for a long time unless my drawing skill improves DRAMATICALLY (unlikely... for a couple years probably!) so, yeah. If you want one done quickly, just ask :)

Pr0n vs Notpr0n
Posted 17 years agoBecause everyone and their mum and their dog and their pet bacteriums are doing it.
In 99% of cases, I don't like porn. Not in a moral sense like OMG THAT'S FILTH COVER IT UP but more in a 'meh, that's unnecessary and badly drawn and unrealistic' kind of way. Thing is (and my work is no exception here - talking about myself as much as anyone else) porn is drawn to be just that - porn, and it being fap material means in most cases people will blatantly ignore anatomical possibilities and even just decent artwork because if you post cock, you WILL get buttloads of comments and favs and commissions.
Porn pictures do absolutely nothing for me personally. I don't have many -real- kinks (in the sense they turn me on) at all, depsite a lot of the material in my gallery, which was drawn on a whim, because I thought other people might like it or because I thought the situations were artistically interesting, like the bondage stuff I did. I found it much more interesting getting the balancing believable and finding space to insert things than the actual porn-ness of the pics at all, and funnily enough - that attitude IMO is one that leads to better quality porn XD
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that if you're too busy getting aroused over a pic you're working on, you're much more likely to ignore errors because the pic serves its purpose already.
Now - as to what I do like. Truthfully, I keep my own kinks to myself, because they're really quite specific to me, and not something that I think a lot of people would think of as sexy. No, they're not illegal or dirty or anything sick, they're just something I've not ever seen porn of, and even if I did I don't think it'd do anything for me unless the scene was well planned out and well drawn enough that it flowed well as an artwork as well as catering to my particular brand of rawr.
No, I'm not going to say what I like, I'm one of those weird fuddy duddies that thinks if you've got a special weird and personal kink, you should keep it personal - it's MUCH more potent that way.
...
Hehe! Wow, sounds like I'm on some tall pony here, but really I'm not trying to be condescending - heck, I draw a lot of porn. I like DRAWING porn. I do! I just don't find it sexy in all but a few select cases. I keep drawing it because, frankly, if I didn't I'd fade back into the woodwork like all artists around here that decide to stop drawing smut, because no matter how good your artwork is on a site like this, you're not going to get paid for it if it's not fap material. You can get on any high horse you want saying 'if you're not getting commissions for clean art it's because you're a crap artist!' but really? that's a load of fresh steaming bullshit. Look around - you'll see people have commissioned freakin' sonic screengrab mspaint recolour porn. I shit you not - it's out there. People commission that kind of material but don't commissions really amazingly talented -professional- artists (NOT ME. NOT TALKING ABOUT SELF, I'M LEARNING DAMMIT) just because they don't draw porn.
So! I don't like porn, but I do draw it, because it's necessary to keep me in work as a mediocre artist. Maybe once I improve enough that I feel I can make money to warrant it, I'll stop drawing porn, but that day I feel is far off and so in the meantime, I'll stick to drawing what sells. Blah.

A reminder on requests
Posted 17 years agoLong story short, I don't take requests anymore.
In the past I've opened up for free sketches and stuff, but considering my improvements lately combined with the fact that artwork commissions make up the vast majority of my income (yeah, I'm always broke :P) I really can't justify doing artwork for free anymore. If I do it for one person I feel obligated to do ti for everyone, so it's all or none, and I do have to earn my moolah somehow. So... yeah. Just consider this an official notice of 'no moar free arts'.
Not to say I'll never do gifts or sketches for people or anything, it's just up to me rather than feeling pressured. So - if you ask for free artwork, or 'suggest' that I draw your character, or whine you never get gift art (I've gotten one piece. ever. about 5 years ago. Not complaining, it's just how it runs for us unpopular people XD) then I'll politely refuse and if pressed, link you to this journal.
So if there's anyone watching me and waiting for another 'free sketches' post, then you might want to look elsewhere - while I may do it again sometime, I seriously doubt it.
I've not been taking requests for some time actually, but I feel that unless I post something concrete saying no it feels like I'm being a bit wishy washy, even if I'm not.
So. Moo. Commissions still open as always, trades open for people of comparitive skill (not being a snob, I just don't ever really commission art and hey, not taking requests means I need to get something worth my own time and effort.) and as ever, my queue is very short. Thanks :)

WHEE! Finished my digital painting course :D
Posted 17 years agoSo happy - The last assignment was completely huge and took me nine hours straight with very little break time, but it's all done, and I've learned a complete buttload :D
I'll be uploading a small copy of my finished assignment here - I wasn't really going to since it was based on a sketch by Bobby Chiu and it's pretty much a loose copy of his own picture, but... since that was kind of the whole point of the exercise and I did all the paint work myself... yeah. I think I can put it up here, but really, if he asked me to take it down I'd be more than happy to comply. Don't think it's an issue though - it is my own work :)
I'm much more confident in my skills now, and I'd love to do some smallish painted commissions, like more icons/portraits without linework and maybe some single character pictures. I mean, I'm going to be doing some painting anyway, but... well. I paint pretty boring and weird things, and a lot of it doesn't end up here - so it's a nice way to force me to paint interesting things that you can all see. That and... money :P
So, as usual, commissions open :)

I love sketching. Want one?
Posted 17 years agoThe $5-10 sketches I was offering before reminded me of how much I love sketching, and I've started (as you can probably see!) doing some more of Falli and a couple of reptilian things because they're what interests me most and what I do best.
Still, I need practice at all kinds of things, and as always I'm in need of funds, so I think I'll open up for sketch commissions - starting at $5 again.
Now, I'd really like to do some nice, detailed head sketches like the set I did before - so if you'd like a bust/head/face sketch of your character, I'd love to do one - and instead of the $10 I'd charge for a more detailed sketch I'll take a few for the base $5. I'll probably be pumping out a few random head sketches anyway along with some musculature practice sketches, but this might be an opportunity for you to get a cheap character sketch while I'm in the mood.
Oh - and as always with these quickie commissions - they're FAST! Catch me while I'm online and I can have it done within the hour :)
So, yeah! Even if I get no takers I'll be happily sketching away, and this offer will last until I post saying otherwise or... forget, or something. So... yeah :P
EDITED for silly me forgetting to post my paypal addy: fallimar[at]hotmail.com
Also a couple things that might be important - if you don't specify I'll assume you're after a character bust/headshot sketch, and secondly as these are really cheap it's payment upfront - just a reminder. thanks :)

More on the sketches and icons - also still open!
Posted 17 years agoYou might notice I've finished a nice batch fo sketches and a couple icons - they're the ones for everyone who's paid :)
Just a hint, you know :p
Also, still got those few slots open for the cheap icons and sketches - I'm honouring the slots I have left so there are still... 4 icon and 5 sketch slots left. That's $5+ per sketch and $10 per icon :)

$10 painted icon commissions - $5 off! Also, cheap sketches.
Posted 17 years agoRight! I'm low on cash and commissions, so I'm offering $5 off my usual price of $15 for digitally painted icons, six slots worth.
With my painted icons, not only do you receive the 100X100px final, but the larger ucropped painting as well. Value!
I'm also offering sketches at reduced price - I usually charge $15 for those as well, but since I can do them so fast and enjoy doing them for the most part, I'm offering them from $5! That'd be a simple sketch of course, more complex, detailed or multiple character sketches would be more, but I'm pretty much knocking $5-10 off the prices I'd normally quote :)
Ten sketch slots for now, more if they're in demand.
Slots for icons:
1. Zipeau
2. Phoenix-D (paid)
3.
4.
5.
6.
Sketches:
1. Sodalite (paid)
2. Phoenix-D (paid)
3. Gotica
4. Vulpyra (paid)
5. Jirlae
6.
7.
8.

10.
Prices in USD, payment via paypal to fallimar[at]hotmail.com :)

Update and prices
Posted 17 years agoEllo all FA peoples!
Just thought I'd say hi to all of you now that FA's back online, a mighty huzzah to the admins and code monkey(s) who've done their bit. Love this site :)
So! as far as I'm concerned, I'm still doing my lovely digital painting course and enjoying it thoroughly - Bobby Chiu is an incredible teacher as well as an amazing artist! I'm learning volumes and improving very fast indeed.
I'm working hard on fursuit stuff too, it's a bit of a slow grind but I'm making sure not to just plod through using old tired methods, I've been focusing hard on self-improvement in all facets of my art and so suiting's been benefiting just as much as my artwork. I now do plastic bowl eyes instead of my older foam, vinyl or thin plastic ones, and they look awesome, and the vision's fantastic :)
My moving jaws have improved too, along with general shaping and sculpting.
So all in all, I'm happy with my progress - the proof's in the pudding though, so do tell me what you think. Constructive critique is my bread and butter, and every bit only goes further to helping me improve and delivering a better quality of work to my wonderful commissioners :D
Speaking of - here's a revised repost of my price list for artwork, as I've only got a couple of commissions to finish before my list is nice and empty again, so I'm still open for pretty much anything :)
Sketches: $15+
Lineart: $25+
Simple/flat coloured picture: $30+
Coloured pieces: $40+
Digital paintings: $60+
Conbadges: $15+
Reference sheets: $35+
Paintsketches: $15+
Rules and info:
All my work is completely digital, so no hard copies to mail out. I don't have access to a good printer, so I don't print and mail out copies without printing and shipping fees (I have to go to a commercial printer).
I always submit the sketch to the commissioner to review before I start on lineart or colour. I'm happy to do revisions, but will have to start charging if the commissioner wants excessive revisions or changes their mind during the commission.
Adult commissions are completely fine.
I'm pretty happy to draw most things, but I won't draw injections or syringes, scat, vomit, cub/underage porn, most incest, nonconsentual/rape or overtly religious themes.
Thanks all of you :)

Painting
Posted 17 years agoI love painting :D
Must do some furry stuff because I've got no proper examples of paintings to show people I can do 'em. That sucks, because I'm getting good at it. Might just have to finish up a few more photo studies and try to annoy people into comissioning me for headshots :P
