Posted 5 years agoDue to a experience today, I've decided to make payments upfront, at least partially, for commissions. Although I'm reluctant, as of late I realized I need to make a change in order to protect myself and my work.
The other update is that every Friday, I'll be posting reminders for RP is a Myth, the server I'm in with the rest of the Project Skyward team, 
Eraanthe and 
Reanai . To see it grow and help peeps meet and such.

Reason is I have become less invested in the community, so to speak. I'm still open for commissions, still working on the game, and I won't be leaving anytime soon, there's just been factors inside and outside FA that made me interact less. The reasons outside is that I'm currently unemployed and job searching, taking an opportunity to improve my health and lifestyle, resuming old hobbies, trying to better myself physically and mentally. I've tried to remedy my relationship with my family but that has given me mixed results at the moment.
And the stuff inside FA, let us just say that I invested too much time, money and effort into people who saw the only value in me as dollar signs and emotional cushioning. I realized just how shallow a lot of people are in here and how little you actually value in the end. Realized that popularity equals humanity. I know it is a stereotype at this point but it wouldn't have turned into a stereotype if there wasn't some hint of truth in it. It made me want to distance myself.

Posted 5 years agoThis is not something I usually talk about. It's in relation to the recent incident in the United States regarding George Floyd, right now I want to talk more about a certain part of the reaction. A lot of people have a very strong reaction, a strong opinion to the incident. And I agree. What happened there was needless and totally avoidable and communities have the right to be outraged. But I believe that it does not give people the right to harm and jeopardize the safety of others, not just with the riots where people have their blood rushing and they react in a way they deem fit, but online spaces as well.
Online, people have taken to doxing individuals over issues they deem egregious to the George Floyd incident. And yes, some of these issues are egregious and in poor taste, but I'm in favour of removing the people from the platform or limiting their reach rather than jeopardizing their safety. You know what doxing is. Releasing private information to the public. Name. Email. Phone number. Workplace. Place of residence. Family. The kind of sensitive information you don't want to be released to a wide audience.
I don't talk much about politics or other sensitive issues here or on other platforms because I'm not politically charged and I don't want to mix what I usually do, but this morning I saw on my twitter feed of more people being doxed, and one of the people doxed is a girl in high school. So...you just doxed a minor because of her poor taste jokes. A high school girl. Under the United Nations criteria, still a child. You just released the information of a child with the explicit intent to harass or cause her harm. I hope I don't have to say how wrong this is.
Don't do that. Don't go after children because you think you have the moral justification to do it, this is not a case of you enacting justice, this is a case of you with a hammer and everything around you looks like a nail. Don't harm people in general because you think it is justified. Don't forget that whenever you act up you're not only harming one individual, you're also harming the individuals around them. This is true in real life and online. Stop using the silence is complicity mentality for everyone you meet, stop viewing everyone around you as either friend or foe.
On my part this is very reactionary, I'm not that kind of person and I don't want to talk more about the situation, I just felt like sharing my mind once and that is it.Ask me anything

Honestly, this isolation has gone on for so long any face to face human contact is a godsend. I've been isolated these past few days, no contact with anyone and only going out for shopping, since a state of emergency has been declared in Bulgaria, all thanks to that bastard known as covid-19. Here's a little insight about my life. On the end of February my work contract had expired, I had applied for a different higher paying position at the company but I didn't get it, my only option was to renew my contact for the current position. Although the idea of maintaining a cash flow was comforting, I had learned everything I could, I didn't see myself going forward with the job and with some of the miasma in the air, I simply couldn't go on there. So that's it, I am now unemployed. I applied to a few places and I got a really promising offer to work at an agency, one that would not only pay me more but seem a lot more inviting. And shortly after my last interview with them, the corona situation escalated, only essential businesses are active, people are being laid off and I doubt anyone needs any new employees at the moment. People are debating the whole corona situation and there have been occasions where I have gotten so tired of listening to that. People are isolated, their lives are changed for the worst, paranoia is fever pitch high, there is a plethora of corona related content being spewed all over television and on the internet. It's all just too much at times, not every topic needs to be about corona. With so much free time my sleep schedule got all fucked, I'm a creature of the night now. And today I found out one of my bank accounts got restricted. Yay.
My family is okay. Some of them are working at home, others are in my boat. Everyone is being careful and taking preventative measures, my mother in particular since she has lupus. My motivation has kinda been gimped thanks to that fat paragraph above, but I try to keep myself busy, there are personal stuff and commissions I need to work on, I don't spiral into panic mode or despair and I keep in touch with my family. Moments like these you got to be careful and hopeful.

Posted 5 years agoIf you have discord, telegram, twitter or any other means of communication, use them. It's way more preferable than notes and at least if FA is down, you can stay in contact with your clients or whoever you commissioned.
And a little unpopular opinion. Why are people so pissed that FA was down? It's been down before many times and it has always been up again, this is nothing new and the FA staff is trying their best to keep it safe and functional.
"I can't get my artworks now, thanks FA staff. I want to see if -insert popular commissioner or artist- has uploaded anything. I can't share porn in the servers I'm in, I'm bored. Goddamn staff not investing money in DDOS protection."
Come on guys...FA being unavailable for a day is hardly the end of the world.It's my birthday!

My activity is kinda going to drop since I’ll be taking the time to relax and bond with em, and for those that I chat with on discord be ready to be pestered with pics of family cooked foods.
