Some Conflicting Thoughts with Pokesona Design
Posted 11 years agoEver get those moments where you can't decide what your fursona/pokesona should look like? Cause I've been getting those moments a lot lately. xP
I can't decide if my Charmander self should have hair or not. A part of me wants the hair, so I'd look more like myself, than any other ole Char (plus, I won't technically be bald xP ). But another part of me thinks I shouldn't have hair, since that'd make me more Charmander-ish if that makes sense.
Another thing I've been debating over is what sort of clothes I should consistently wear. I can't seem to decide. There's the shirt/jacket, a cloak, a handkerchief, a hoodie, a scarf, goggles, and shorts. I love all of these a lot. I wanna stand out from any Charmander. But I of course don't wanna look cluttered either, or too difficult to draw. I guess the problem is, I want to wear all these things, but I find it to be a major pain to draw them. I also think I should make sure some of my Charmander body is visible, like the belly.
When it comes to skills and talent, I've often been more of a writer/storyteller rather than a drawer. I mean, I can draw too and still make accomplishments with it. It's just, I don't feel like drawing too often. It's not the most enjoyable, and it can get quite difficult for me as a result. Maybe it's cause it feels like work to me (I really should not approach drawing like this)? Or maybe cause I feel drawing would actually be a lot more fun if I was doing it with friends (it helps bring encouragement and motivation). And I of course don't want to force myself to do anything, since that's of course not fun at all.
I'm going to keep trying what I can do and to keep things up!~

Character Descriptions for my Charmander Self
Posted 11 years agoSo after a lot of thinking about my Charmander self, as well as hearing some useful comments from ShinyTotodude, I finally brought together my list of character descriptions!~ ^__^
- Loves food a lot (prone to growling stomach). I find good food to be some of the best things ever in the world! ^__^
- loves sushi, green tea, ice cream. My favorite meal, drink, and dessert! =D
- Loves bathroom humor. And is quite gassy xD It's all for laughs and giggles~
- Cheerful, loves to have fun and being imaginative, and going on adventures.
- Nature loving
- loves to serve others tea
- Loves games. Especially video games!
- Loves being a superhero. What kind, depends on the story. xD
- practices magic. Like creating beautiful multi-colored flames.
- collects colorful and shiny things. Like gems and crystals
- weak to ice and cold weather (despite being a fire type).
- loves goggles, scarves, cloaks, hoods, and bandanas.
- loves a good fight. I like a good friendly brawl with my buddies. It's fun, energetic, and good exercise. ^__^ I go to the gym sometimes. When it comes to exercise, I mostly swim. This is when I'm not being lazy on my butt, hahaha.
- likes video game, soundtrack (tokusatsu and anime), and rock music. The video games that have left the biggest impact on me, are games that felt very atmospheric to me. Like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Klonoa, Rayman, and Croc. And music played a huge role in these games for me. So I tend to listen to their music a lot. I guess the best way to say it, is that they feel like the kind of music which best represents me. I love atmospheric sounding music with unique catchy instruments which can really put you into the worlds of imagination.~ I also really love listening to the songs and the BGMs (background music) of both Super Sentai and Kamen Rider. These shows' music remind me a lot of the video game music I listen to, but are meant to fit into television. So I find them great stuff. I'm also a big fan of the Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki anime films. And again, music was a big part of these for me. Again, it's all about the atmosphere for me! ^__^

Opening up some more, and Furry Confessions
Posted 11 years agoI'm still opening myself up to FurAffinity. Seems like I'm pretty shy around here. I did manage to get up to 3 submissions posted. So I think that's a start. And getting more used to drawing.~
Though I guess I gotta be honest... a lot of the artwork I check out on this site I've noticed is basically stuff including weight gain, inflation, or even gas (belly hunger growling, burps, farts, bloating). And... I guess I wanna try that stuff too? Feels so weird for me to admit that. I guess I was always afraid people would look at me strangely. But then again, I'm far from a normal kind of guy. xD But yeah, cat is out of the bag. I guess I really am into that stuff. I'm not entirely sure how to explain why though.
I initially was planning to draw a bunch of pics of my pokesona doing a lot of my favorite hobbies, I guess to help represent myself. But I found myself very impatient, and so I went ahead and drew a pic of myself all fat after eating a lot (has yet to be colored and uploaded). It's weird, I'm not sure how to explain it. But not gonna lie, drawing it was pretty fun and felt pretty satisfying.
The world of Furries still feels very new to me. I'm still learning things and figuring out how everything works. It would be cool to be more familiar with everything, and seeing if that can lead to new friendships, that would possibly work in new ways I never knew about.
I do love how everyone has the cartoony animal look to them. It really gives off a feel which I best love to describe as cute yet badass at the same time. It fills me with much joy.
Another thought I've had recently was possibly giving myself a fursona that wasn't a pokemon. I mean, I've always been big on reptiles like dragons, lizards, crocodiles, etc. So a pokemon like Charmander was a big deal to me, and I felt he best represented me. Though as far as non-Pokemon animals go... I did often find myself being associated with a dragon or a tanuki. Maybe I should be a tanuki-dragon hybrid? lol.
The thought of having a non-Pokemon fursona was the result of thinking that maybe it'd be best if I branch out more. Maybe I'd discover more in the furry world, if I covered real-life animals (technically dragon and tanuki are mythological) and fictional animals like Pokemon, Digimon, etc.
Drawing-wise, I guess the one thing I'm having a lot of trouble with is trying to draw my characters in an angel. It's tricky. Especially when it comes to different shaped heads (like a Charmander).

First Journal Entry
Posted 11 years agoAs pretty much the title of this entry says, my first journal entry! ^__^
Been a lurker on fur affinity for a while now. Only recently have I finally started opening up. I've spoken to a couple of people here and there on here. And only very recently have I actually started commenting on this site.
I find myself enjoying this site a lot, and looking into the world of furries. I'm still learning how it all works. And I admit, I've been very shy on here. But I did finally post my first artwork of my pokesona on here about a month ago.~ I gotta get more pictures ready. xD
