General | Posted 12 years agoMy little rattie boy, Cuppa, is sick. He's wheezing and tired-the other boys are scrambling about being their normal excited selves, and he's napping quietly in the corner...
I'm giving their cage a good cleaning, and each of them are going to get a good cleaning as well. I called the vet, but they can't get him in until Tuesday, and I'm scared that by then, it'll be too late.
Besides, the local vet prefers to "wait and see what will happen" rather than providing the appropriate medicine directly. She doesn't really know much about rats, as far as I can tell. When Chewy had his myco flareup, she wanted to do an antibiotic injection, and got pissy when I told her that a procedure like that would cause ulcerations in the injection site. UGH.
I'm so frustrated and sad. These guys make my life worth living.
Sorry, guys, I don't like ranting at you, but I'm really feeling bad about this. I don't want him to die. *Goes off to hide in a corner*
By the way, commissions were a bit held up due to a few things going on this weekend. Promise, they'll be up and completed in the next week or so. I'm so sorry.

Today I'm sick, so I'm staying home and doing a little sewing-yay!
I'm working on finishing up the pre-bought puppy, just have to attach the hood and ears and finish the handpaws. ^^
I think I might throw together a few premade tails, not sure yet.
Right now I'm sculpting a tongue of fleece for the puppy head, then I'll do my best to finish him up. ^^
Let me know if you want a stream, I'm just lazy right now, but if someone wants to watch, I'm game!

*Sigh* Vet, Home, Ratties... Sad rant, I guess.
General | Posted 13 years agoI'm so tired, guys. I want to cry, but I'm honestly too tired to even bother.
I have a mountain of fabric to sort through, as my mother threw it all over the floor, and, of course, spattered my boxes of pre-sculpted teeth, WIP premades, and eye blanks, not to mention other suit stuff, in there with it.
I'm seriously considering just moving out. I already drive to school every day, so why not? I'm eighteen, and maybe my ratties and I could find a decent room.
Speaking of ratties, I took Chewy to his vet appointment today. Despite the fact that he's rasping, wheezing, and sneezing nonstop, the vet informed me that 'anything at all could be causing his condition,' and that 'it'd be best to see what progresses before considering medical treatment.' I KNOW that he's having a flareup of Myco, and all he needs is an antibiotic. So, basically, I blew $35 on being told I'm an over reactive idiot who doesn't understand 'simple, cold-like problems.' Chewy, meanwhile, back with his cagemates as I type this, is sneezing and wheezing all over the place.
In better news, I modified my rattie's cage, and filled it with cardboard goodies and new levels. I eliminated all plastic except for the level upon which the waterbottle drips, and I made them three new nests. I have happy little fellows.
All in all, it's been a stressful day. All I want is to be happy and make sure my little Chewy doesn't die from something that could be treated easily and painlessly.
I just don't know what to do.

The base is the same as the one used before for the sale I had this morning, and will be furred in white, with the buyer allowed to choose custom markings. As before, it will include custom ears, hood, and measurements, but this time I'm giving a little headway before I put it up for sale.
The resin is currently curing, and I'll be furring it here in a little bit ((maybe stream, if you guys like?)), then I'll put it up for sale.
Just letting you all know what's going on, and feel free to comment with questions or requests for me to note you so you can snag it first!

I literally bawled through the entire thing.
The casting, the music, the acting, the set, the makeup, the accents, the costumes, EVERYTHING was just completely and utterly perfect.
Fantine stole my heart, so sad and perfectly carried off, with her beautiful voice and grace, I... I can't even.
Javert, just incredible, his voice and his acting, stunning and flawless.
I could believe how perfect the young Cosette was, they really hit the mark with her.
And Gavroche. GAVROCHE. DDDDDD: Noooooooo! Why?!!!

I'm slowly dealing with this, plus turning eighteen, plus a few other personal issues.
Thus, I'll be taking a few weeks off-I'm making a few premades, but I want to focus on being strong when she comes out of her coma.
Sooooooo, I'll be finishing up commissions, raffle prizes, and those who paid for a slot and have yet to finish payment are still on my active queue, but I'm not taking commissions for blanks or anything for a bit. I'm sorry for any inconvenience, but I really need this time to myself.
Anywhooo, I love all of you, and have a beautiful few weeks. <3

Arctic fox demon-white base, probably some blues, golds, or oranges, a pair of small horns, and red or very pale blue eyes.
Arctic Marble fox-white base, natural coloured, cute as all hell~
Suggestion?
This head will be equipped with a full jawset, hidden neck zipper, resin eyes, a resin nose, airbrushed accents, resin base head, moving jaw.

I'm willing to offer sanded cut resin mask bases as well as uncut and unsanded. Average prices you normally think are fair but not breaking the bank?

General | Posted 13 years agoI just have to say-demolding eye sockets is the most stressful part of casting resin heads. If the mold rips, you have to make a whole new mold. New mold=whole day of work wasted. Whole day of work wasted=Depression. Depression=Chocolate nomming. Chocolate nomming=allergies. Don't have allergies. Demold your eye sockets carefully.
So happy, I did it right~ And, I'm gonna have a few bases up in a bit!~
