Hope you're all keeping toasty and warm, I can definitely fee winter creeping up over here!

Just a general update for the months to come so everyone can get a good idea of where im at in terms of que time and quotes:

CURRENTLY
Im running around 3-4 weeks behind as illness and other circumstances have knocked me back slightly, now this does effect all current customers and if you have problems with the date change or any questions please feel free to email me!

Ill also be moving into a flat with madebymercury near the end of November so ill be taking 2 days or so out to move down, unpack and sort out all the furniture/bills/all that good stuff, shouldn't take me to long to get sorted out but after that I'll have a warm cosy base to work full-time properly in the winter :) As of now im based at home in the garage outside and its getting very difficult to work as the temperature is dropping.

ARTISTIC FREEDOM DISCOUNTS
Thought i'd put this here to give you guys an idea on the artistic freedom options, this list of animals below I've been wanting to make for a while and each suit will have a 10% discount. This does mean its completely artistic-freedom though, you may put forward some ideas on certain markings or colours but the design will be decided by myself.

So, ill be opening for quotes some time in late November to December after then ill pick new costumes for '4' month periods then rinse and repeat the quote process.
(eg. quotes open/close December, suits start in January-April but quotes open in April for orders starting May-August)

But after 2013, I've realized the true time and effort it takes to put this into a full-time business state and how much materials cost over the pond, its been a few years since I put my prices up and I think ive gained enough experience and techniques to put them up to better levels!

Prices for 2014 will have a base price of:
(All prices in GBP) please use a currency converter to check prices according to your location)

Heads- £500

Partials - £850 (head,hands,feet,tail)

(Plantigrade) Fullsuit - £1400 (head,hands,tail,feet,bodysuit)

(Digitigrade) Fullsuit - £1600 (Head,Hands,Tail,feet,bodysuit,padding)

Now these are standard 1-2 colour simple pattern suits with all the regular features I provide like moving jaws, following eyes, resin claws, latex pawpads, resin teeth + silicone tongue. Extras like complicated markings, wings, horns, hair accents, LED's and any other ideas you have will add to this!


And mainly I'd love to just say a massive thank you to all of you out there that have been with me through these few years, its amazing to see this business grow and I cant wait to show you guys the suits coming up :)

Just had a thought, my youtube channel is very much unloved at the moment and Im really loving the idea of video updates (like vlogs) every week (or two weeks) for updates, not just for customers and such but as general updates so you can see the costumes in a more detailed way (360 views, mechanics of the mask, descriptions) Could also do Q+A videos! So I can answer questions with video and show examples etc.

You know not just, picture/jaw-movement and music over the top but with commentary too, that and I'd love to film my con-adventures :D I have a decent knowledge and copy of Sony Vegas, now all I need a decent camcorder.


But what do YOU look for in a youtube channel?


Just wanted to hear peoples thoughts on this idea before I run off and spend £70+ on a HD camcorder :'D

Im am still live and kickin guys!
Sorry about the lack of updates recently I rolled back from America straight into work but caught a nasty virus which put me out for a week. Sidian's spitz suit was the first on the 'August list' and Radiocliff is up next !

I have ordered some photography things (white/black backdrops for now and other bits and pieces) so hopefully I can take some nicer more professional photos in the future. I've also been saving up for a new airbrush and have invested in a new sewing machine and dress-makers dummy which should help me work much smoother :)

Art and other crafts are still being worked on along side fursuits, I also have a pair of paws/sleeves and the hoof-boots to finish.

So yeah, expect photos of a fullsuit soon!

Hey all!

I'm back from Florida now and unfortunately struggling with jetlag, but I'm hoping to get back into regular work-mode by the end of the week.

I did go and pull a stupid by leaving my laptop at a friends in London so responses may be a bit slow until it gets back here, very sorry!

Hey guys and gals!

Ill be out of office from Thursday 11th until 31st July, this means all work will stop and emails may be very slow! (depending on wifi over there etc)

All emails have now gone out to those with a slot in the 2013 batch, if you don't see the email "FarukuCostumes - 2013 slots" in your inbox (and please check your 'junk' folder!) then im afraid you haven't got one of the 2013 slots.

But there's still a chance you may be able to take a space if these fursuits for 2013 do not take as long to make as I expect, or if a customer drops out. Remember your quote given to you from this batch will last up to December 2013!

Many thanks to all who submitted a quote, there were over 50 amazing projects to choose from, it literally took me all day to decide which ones were going to be chosen (so difficult!) and it was just amazing to see so much variety and ideas :)

Im usure as of yet whether 2014 will be full-time or part-time for costumes, though after the costumes of 2013 there will be a price rise so any quotes for the new year will have to be re-submitted (hopefully ill have a decent website and better system by then!)

Hey everyone!

Had a good time at Confuzzled this year, theres really too many people to name you all really made it amazing ;u; ♥
A very nig thank you to all who popped round the dealers den and commissioned/purchased from me, youve helped me a great deal! To all those who got commissions to be delivered after CF they should be around with you within the next 2-3 weeks.

Leftover stock:
I currently have x2 handpaws, x5 Tails and x4 ears to sell off, I'll be listing these soon on my FA page

This month:
To do list for this month is Tzara's Hyena head, digi-boots for lostfeathers and emeralddraconis and starting the bodysuit/feetpaws for the Fox suit that sold at auction. Then its off to America in July for Metrocon!

August:
Begin new comissions! First three in the slots will have their costume paid off at 80% and then construction of the first batch will begin c: (Im way too excited for these upcoming projects)

Just wanted to post a journal regarding a possible costume-gathering at Confuzzled for a photoshoot~

I dont quite know how many I've got running around that would be at CF but there should be a handful, I'll try contact everyone but it'd be awesome to try gather you here.

SO. Im thinking photoshoot possibly on the Sunday? If I could do it early morning (around 10am) for half an hour before I have to go to my table in the Den that'd be fantastic :D but im open to opinions if there are any events at that time that may clash with the shoot!

I cant stress enough how sorry I am for letting the few who had deadlines with me down,
The paws/ears/tails were taken on by my fundraising team so we could earn for our degree show (the university pays zero towards our final, we fund it ourselves) they each took on one piece, but when started they dropped out to finish off work for the finals, leaving me with the orders as well as my university work, my fursuit orders, artwork and trying to help take care of my family.

The remaining team gathered today to finish up all they could on the orders, they are all very much close to being finished, most paws are finished and need shaving/airbrushing and pads. The sleeved just need airbrushing and sewing up and the tails are all stuffed and just need sewing up + elastic belt loops. Its very little things that I can do when I get back and send the whole batch out before I go off to Confuzzled.

The reason I couldn't finish them this month is due to my mother being very unwell combined with preparing the final degree show for the 21st of this month. But im guaranteeing all orders that need to be shipped will be shipped out at 25th latest (if I havent already shipped or agreed a time with you) and those that will pick up at confuzzled can come to me on the Thursday to pick up their items.

Hello!

Im very sorry for delays that have happened, after I took all the orders I have my team of 11 with me (as the orders were for fundraising for the final year degree show for university) After I took the orders they spent one day on work then practically disappeared and I have been left with not only MY commissions, but esentially the ones they were assigned to which has lead to massive delays for the paw/ear/tail orders, I have all of them patterned and tacked, they have been put through the sewing machine but need claws/pads and final shaving and the tails need stuffing.
Im arranging a two days next week for a group to come in and help me finish these. Im so so sorry to all who had deadlines for these, hopefully this will all be finished in around 2 weeks ready to be shipped immediately.
