I understand how people want prices, and thats why my base prices are up on the front of my FA, theyre not just random theyre there to give you a good idea of how much a basic costume will be, costumes come with following eyes/moving jaw/outdoor feetsoles/bottom resin teeth/soft stuffed tails and 2 fur colours as standard. Extras costs are incurred when you add horns/sculpted details, LED's, Indoor soles, silicone pad options, 'hair' and excess of 3+ fur colours and various markings.

Though i'd make a journal with more information for the opening of my fursuit commissions Winter 2013, after the 29th July I get back from Metrocon which is when I will be able to move into a new house and take FarukuCostumes as a full time business which means I need to fill my slots (or at least get quotes out and people notified) as soon as possible.
Im currently working on an update to the website which will include an online quote form which should make things much smoother, I will let you all know when this goes live as I'll be taking quotes from mid-April until June!
What concerns me, is that I do not start work on orders until the order is 80%-100% paid off (including deposit) I will take orders 'to be completed from August the 1st' before I go away to the USA on the 14th July. General | Posted 12 years agoIm so so so sorry for taking so damn long, im on the last 2 1/2 weeks until my final hand-in for University and am busy as hell. Though I have the feathers painted/finished I left my wire for wrapping back at my other house, I have re-ordered some through ebay which should be here within 3-5 days and as soon as thats done i'll wrap em and send them along with a doodle or two for each of you as an apology, thank you for being patient with me!

Next up is Kuro and Garnet's suits, Im 3 weeks away from finishing my BA Illustration/Animation course at university so suits are currently 'back seat' but from 16th April->29thMay I have 100% free time to finish up all Confuzzled stock and fursuits at 'full-time' status :)
So CONFUZZLED THEN. BOY AM I EXCITED. Holyballsomg I LOVED this convention last year, I will be returning to my dealers table with the lovely kristendeity I have two tables this time, one for all fursuit related items and one for art-based commissions :D I'll have my inks and watercolours with me for this one guys, and hopefully some leathercraft!

Use of real fur

As you can see in my latest posts (Aziza's fursuit parts) I've been using real for for the long accents and her mane, I will be offering this in the future for customers and to those that have orders with me currently you can upgrade to real fur for parts if you'd like to :)
But be careful! I know certain conventions (I think EF, but I think theres another?) That don't allow real fur products at their conventions so that's at your own risk, do your research first!
I order all my real fur products from reputable companies that I trust, But again, its only an option! I will offer it along with NFT and kanekalon :)

+ Paws (5 fingered, resin claws, latex pawpads,single colour) £50+ (dual-colour) £60+
+ Tails (canine/basic feline, belt loops,single colour) £45+ (dual-colour) £55+

ohmygosh I have so much stuff to do this year, good things and the bad..
First off! Almost finished at University this year (yessss) which means im gonna be super busy with this last project, it also means I now have a 'team' of 10+ people helping me sew a couple of suits together. We have a Snow Leopard coming up that gonna be awesome, all profits are donated to my university's gallery show ;u;
Then comes Confuzzled (IM SO EXCITED) going to be setting up in the dealers den! Hope to see you all there
ALSO 99% positive Im gonna be flying over to America for a convention in Florida ♥ Going to be attending Metrocon this year, I hear you Americans know how to throw a good con ;D
THEN possibly Eurofurence again! As 2012 was absolutely fantastic~
In-between that I'll be looking for a new place to live in June AND new job after leaving Univerity SO YES. BUSY FARU @n@ (going to be a challenge but damn I love a good challenge)

Commissions Opening in a few days

Tomorrow I'll be writing up the journal and quote forms for commissions on end-of-2012 and 2013, though this time we'll be doing it a little differently!
Please Read:
Each month I will be taking on 1 slot (will be head-only or partial) this is because im not a 3rd year at university and my work load is about to go right up which leaves me very little time for large fursuit commissions. So I will take 1 a month, and when it comes to the next month along I can decide whether or not I have the time for another and (if I don't) Will take one the month AFTER. and it will go along like that until I finish University, get a job and a house where my work-place is :)
SO.
Tomorrow I will publish the quote forms and answer them within the week, for October I'll be taking 1 commission. Problem being to get into the swing of things deposit will have to be paid within the week after the quote, and I will start work once 80% of payment is achieved, this may make it creep into November. PLEASE, if you cannot pay for your commission in 40% and 60% then consider getting a slot at a later date so that you may get together the money to pay for your suit in two blocks (or just one 100% payment) I will not accept small payment plans this time around.

Tomorrow I'll be writing up the journal and quote forms for commissions on end-of-2012 and 2013, though this time we'll be doing it a little differently!
Please Read:
Each month I will be taking on 1 slot (will be head-only or partial) this is because im not a 3rd year at university and my work load is about to go right up which leaves me very little time for large fursuit commissions. So I will take 1 a month, and when it comes to the next month along I can decide whether or not I have the time for another and (if I don't) Will take one the month AFTER. and it will go along like that until I finish University, get a job and a house where my work-place is :)
SO.
Tomorrow I will publish the quote forms and answer them within the week, for October I'll be taking 1 commission. Problem being to get into the swing of things deposit will have to be paid within the week after the quote, and I will start work once 80% of payment is achieved, this may make it creep into November. PLEASE, if you cannot pay for your commission in 40% and 60% then consider getting a slot at a later date so that you may get together the money to pay for your suit in two blocks (or just one 100% payment) I will not accept small payment plans this time around.

Theres so much to say about Eurofurence, I have met some of the most wonderful and hilarious people at this convention and had a chance to talk a connect with current folks~
I don't actually think I could list off the the people the list would be ridiculously huge, to those that commissioned me (art wise) at the con, im off to Alcon for a week so they will be done September time and posted out to you free of charge :D
Many ♥'s to all who came and said hello ;u; Its lovely to meet you all, I had such a great time at EF! Suited around in the Tiger for a little while here and there so if you caught any photos of him i'd love to see :D There were so many lovely suits milling around~
The only problem im seeing with EF is the sheer amount of 'volunteers' as staff, now I know they need staff and volunteers do help but to be fair a lot of them were there just to have the con-staff badge, literally no one could give us the right information when we asked and used the excuse of 'being a volunteer' :c bit odd.
