Bedridden Update
Posted 12 years agoSo, for those who don't know, i had an upper respiratory infection and that was sapping my desire and mood to be on skype and do art and work. Well, today it got worse, my doctor reccomended after a urine test to stop doing my antibiotic treatment I was on, and so i did, and suddenly a rash developed alllll over my back and shoulders and chest, and i mean alllll over. I basically developed Mononucleosis in addition to my respiratory infection a few days ago, and so now I'm basically going to be out of commission for at least 2 more weeks supposedly, and 2 months after that I'll be super fatigued. Just wanted to say, in case i dont reply to you on skype oir take extra long to reply to comments or such, this is the reason, cause i'm in bed, trying to sleep and not cough up a lung while i wait for this uncurable disease to pass through my system.....

Posted 12 years agoFor those wondering where I am on skype or why I'm taking so much longer than normal to respond to notes and RP's and such, I've got and HAVE had since the 10th an upper respiratory infection, and it's basically had me so damn tired/coughing/sore/feeling like shit overall that basically I've been either doing my work or sleeping most of the day and laying in bed for most of the day alll except for FA United. So, apologies guys, I just went and got my prescription for antibiotics a day ago and taking them and DAMN they are powerful. Yeah, so it sucks almost as much as the sick itself XD either way, bottom line is I am in shit shape, and it's also why I haven't worked on art lately or done the streaming that I've decided to do :P
FA United Con Review
Posted 12 years agoFweeeee! A little late with my con report XD but I finally am posting what happened to me during the con :3
So first of all, I gotta say, I was sick the whoooole damn time, still am actually. Upper Respiratory infection, leaving me with a hell of a cough and now lightheadedness among other things, but whatev's. I went in friday afternoon a little later than I wanted too cause I was just not feeling it and missed a workshop I wanted to attend, but went right through registration with no line whatsoever so that made up for it :3 and then I went straight to the dealers den and got myself a few commissions started before heading off to the zoo to hang out and explore. The first day was pretty ho-hum to be honest, not a lot happened but that's not too surprising, after all it's the first day and not everyone is at the con yet :P Although at the end of that day, I was in the zoo hanging out with Mana The Vixen and her group, and I bummed a couple awesome sketchbook drawings off her in trade for a sketch of my own in her book ^^ OH! And not to mention earlier in the day in the zoo, I got a game of Petals Around he Rose started ;) and I had the fastest Potentate of the Rose I ever saw with 5 rolls of the dice, and the slowest with an hour and a half of not giving up, and he actually found a completely alternate method to understanding how to get the right answer XD OH! And I COMPLETELY forgot about the talent show! being the first up on the lineup and missing two good tricks with the diabolo, then making tons of good tricks with the rings and clubs that I was happy with, god damn did it kill me though to do that routine sick X3 Wow, so I guess Friday wasn't so boring after all now that I remember it lol
The next day of course is where EVEYTHING went down :3 I had my juggling panel at 12:30, and despite being sick, it was very very well :D got one person juggling consistently as long as she wanted, two other people close to juggling comfortably, and about 3 other people who gave up midway through XD that's just fine though ^^ the workshop was a success in my book :D after, I went and picked up some of my commissions from the dealers den and OMG were they awesome :D I immediately got more from the same artist, who happened to be Lizardbeth ^^ heehee, and then it was off to get food, and then OFF TO THE POOL PARTY! Hehe, Of course, being me, I had to bring one of my pool toys in ^^ and I brought one of the friendly shark ride on's that I had :3 that's the shark design I hated and was bought for 5 dollars, so I really didn't mind after a while when they started using it as a beach ball and essentially began to punch it through the air for at least 3 hours XD although there were a couple breaks from that in order to piledrive it into the pool for an AWESOME picture ^^ https://www.furaffinity.net/view/11405585/ at my suggestion ^_^
So after I left the pool party leaving my shark there for the enjoyment of others, I headed over to the gaming room to finally do some Smash Brothers, not as much as I usually did because the sickness was making it tough for me to compete well, and the fact it was also Melee and not Brawl, but oh well ^^ At the end of that day, I was super happy and sleepy and then came sunday.
Sunday was a bit mundane as there really weren't any workshops I wanted to go to :P but I believe I did end up going to one, I can't remember at all which XD but aside from that there was the closing ceremonies. Which was one of the most remarkable closing ceremonies I'd ever seen for two reasons. Firstly, the proposal for MoonStar and her now fiancee, which was perfect and made everyone including myself cry a little :P and then of course the trying to make Legal Eagle cry as many times as possible by donating tons of money to the charity XD and after being 8.5 thousand and Neer asking to see if we could bump it up to over 9000 so they could play the DBZ sound clip, suddenly they counted it up and realized that in the span of about 7 miunutes, just because they asked for a little more (and because everyone wanted to hear the soundbyte and take part in the meme XD Furries are such nerds <3) we bumped it up a full 2k more to over ten and a half thousand dollars. IN-SANE.

Thinking about livestreaming...
Posted 12 years agoI see so many people doing it, and lately i've been streaming for people individually with some of their pics :P I wonder if anyone would be interested in watching me doing my artwork XD
Notes for what it would be like: It takes me like 2 or three hours to go from sketch to fully inked colored and shaded. I won't be doing commissions because I don't often get any and I can't sketch anyways XD i do coloring only :P and I am always multitasking on my computer, so the coloring would be a bit stop and go.
Who would want to see me doing livestreams?

Posted 12 years agoIt's here for the 4th year in a row! My lopsided trade offer that I call my Shark Week Freebies! AKA "Fatty Artslut shark's excuse to indulge his artsluttiness" XD Heehee, So here';s the deal folks! This is valid all throughout shark week which begins today :3

And it's just that simple! Post your sketches that you have made and post the sketch you want inked and colored in a comment on this journal. ALSO, another new wrinkle, I'll do a quick either inking or coloring job (not both) in addition if your drawing is of one of the ideas I've put up below. Simply draw a sketch of irongut, possibly using an idea from my list of ideas to draw, and I will ink and color it as well as another picture of your choosing by yourself or anyone else for free! Sketchbook Commissions!
Posted 12 years agoWell! seems it was a great idea to put up a video guide and tutorial about my sketchbook :3 so far I've gotten two people requesting me to build their sketchbooks for them :3 I'm a bit surprised at that, but it's awesome too that they're willing to let me handle their thing for them for a price ^^ So with that said, I'm going to open up for sketchbook commissions! That is, I will build your new sketchbook for you :3
Now, to do this, the prices will vary a bit from person to person, but generally, I think it'll end up being around $40 for the basics as you see them in my sketchbook, that is up to 50 images printed out, the binder, tabs, ref sheet in front, a cover image, and protective sleeves for the sketches sections (which you will fill with the original sketches after receiving the book). If you like to add more images it'll be a bit extra, as the printing out if the majority of the cost of the book. Then of course there will be the shipping cost as well, which we'd have to figure out, but it'll ship from central New Jersey, so you can estimate it however you will.
As for how to actually go about it, I would ask that you organize the files that you want to be printed into separate .zip files such as adult.zip containing all the adult finished pictures, comics.xip containing all the comics you like to be printed, etc etc, just name them and organize them however you like and then they'll be emailed to me. I'd give you my email address after we begin.
ADVANCED PRICE DETAILS:
Since this is a highly individual and custom thing for each person, I think I'm going to do this, listing out the prices it will cost me for everything to be done, so if you're interested, go ahead and take a look at the prices here and you can count up just how many prints you would like to make and figure out how much it'd cost in total.

Pouches - $8.00 for 25 pouches
Tabs - $3.00
Prints - $0.30 per individual image
Cover that you design - $0.50

Side Charecters
Posted 12 years agoThis is more a personal list than anything XD putting it up here so I can remember and have it out there if anyone wants to know :P Lately I've been thinking in the back of my head about, well, not expanding my character roster so much, but I've just had character ideas that I SO want to do :P And well, there's no real way to do them without expanding my roster of characters XD Though I have found one novel solution for one of them :3 Either way, here we go...
Bob the phoenix, an existing charecter of mine, who I want to change now to an aeromorph, a living airplane for those who aren't familiar with the term. It fits very well with his character which is an air force veteran with the leaving rank of Leutinent, and he spends his time at the sawmill bar getting drinks from iron and hanging out, giving advice and telling stories to the locals who show interest in him, and on occassion taking folks to the flying gym uptown to do some training and practicing. He in the past taught Jace to fly, and of course being an airplane now, while his personal flying style will be different, he still is an expert on all flight including biological wing based flight technique. I just gotta figure out now, did he get changed to an aeromorph from a phoenix? Or am I retconning him to have always been an aeromorph? XD and then of course figuring out which model plane he is. I'm quite sure I'm gonna make him a mostly anthro jet, just gotta envision him more ^^
A cartoon feral orca, who's learned to walk on his back flukes. He'll be perfectly chubby as expected, and he'd be pretty much cartoonish in his traits and such, think back to how toons were in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He's not going to have that toonish of a look to him though, he'll be toony of course, but not to thta degree, something to figure out. As for his demeanor, he'll be a practical joker and a comedian of course but with a very serious side to him, very caring and able to drop his cartoonish antics at the drop of a hat in order to help out or fit the conversation. He'd love vore and be a kinky bastard in just about every way except for stuff to do with waste XD no WS scat or diapers, only the more clean sex stuff. He's obsessed with cleanliness for some reason, and is very proud of his skin's shine and cleanness.
So, those are my ideas, and they'll be added to my roster, which I think I'll put down here XD

Man, after FurTheMore and posting my guilty pleasures pic I was just dealing with a dozen and a half chat windows open constantly whenever I would sign online. As great as it is to be wanted and how flattering it is, damn does it kill my desire to sign online at night, especially days when I come home from work... Cheap Cheap commissions for a good cause

He's got not too much money to make up, only a couple hundred dollars, and he's offering very good rates on his commissions. 5 bucks for a lined sketch, 12 for a fully colored and shaded finished piece.

Lonely Moods..... [moody rant]

I'm kinda in one tonight X3 it seems like nobody I love most is on skype or msn lately, and what's more than that is that 2 of my most loved guys I haven't even seen/heard from/talked to for like a full week or two. Feeling a bit lonely for them. And then when I get in these moods I remember how just plain dumb I am for letting myself and my nervousness to ask Jace after he and Tank broke up make me wait so long that he and Rex got together, and then it also reminds me of how it's been over a year (not since Tank) that I was somebody else's #1... and, that just makes me feel, yeah... you can imagine. I'm not looking for sympathy or to get into contact with new people and such, to be honest I'm not incredibly interested... I've met some new people, and it's fine, they're good, but they're just not what i'm looking for it seems, IDK, maybe I'm judging them too fast but to talk about them now without mentioning names, they're just all so damn one dimensional X3. I mean, hell, I have a favorite thing to do and a favorite fetish, but I've got so many things I love doing too! and if all you're interested in is that one thing with me, well, it's like I'm, i dont know, either getting only part of what I want from someone or it feels like they're selfish and not wanting to do anything but what they want to do... I mean yeah, when I'm on msn and role playing I am indecisive 90% of the time and will want to know what you want to do first, but, damnit, I just am sick up to my gills of people who I can go "Ohhh, he's on, well, any second now he's gonna pop up and want to get vored in the same exact way... ugh..." I know I'm going off half cocked here, but I feel kinda depressed a bit because this xmas I spent a ton of time and effort getting sketches and inking and coloring them for people, and don't take this as a "repay me with more art or I'll hate you" because that's absolutely not the case, I still love you all just as much as I've told you all before, but, I just feel like it's one sides sometimes when I'm sitting here, with my in progress commission que not moving along doing nothing to help (not to mention trades and deas being abandoned on me), and seeing, nothing, coming in. I mean, this past xmas and birthday season and such I basically got/made a total of 7 finished pics for people as gifts. 6 of them I made at least 50% of the way myself (in terms of inking and coloring work, the sketch was either commissioned/requested/gifted. By the way, thank you again Strithor for your sketches <=3), and didn't get anything. And one of the 7 I made caused drama when I uploaded it, so, *sighs*... I dunno... I just feel... I guess underappreciated maybe... 'm like "come on guys, I've tried to be subtle about it but I think I'm not, I'm working too much to have the big canon building rp's I love having with people, so my only way to see my whole second life is through images, and while I like building my own universe, I want the people I care about to share in it too XS and more than just share, specifically, help me build it...."
and speaking of, back to rp's... my time, and yes I understand a lot of other people's too, is severely limited due to work, but I still wanna do stuf you know? and what I really want to do is more than just an rp to get off... Sure, getting off on an rp is absolutely great! but to me, furry means so much more than that, it's like my own tv show/book series/WORLD that I'm creating, and sharing. I said in a journal that I deleted that the purpose of being an artist is to express yourself, and granted while I do want to express myself by myself, and I've been thinking of writing a set of short stories to do that with my whole universe, I want the same thing I just said with art, for others to share in it and BUILD it with me too!... I mean, it's why I regret waiting for Jace as much as I did... cause he was the one who (along with Tank) was interested in building a universe together, a whole world to explore and play around in and create! someplace to be, and someplace that was more than just about sex. Like furry itself yes sex was a huge part of it, but to me it was at most 50%... the thing that really mattered was sharing my dream world with someone to start quoting/paraphrasing songs.... I really don't know where I'm going with this, or what my big point is, I guess I don't have one because my brain is too tired tonight so I'm speaking just from my ranty selfish emotions, and yeah, so please don't judge me based off this journal in any way, because this is all me being incredibly selfish and whiny and lonely and such. I implore you to ignore this X3 in fact, I'm considering not hitting the submit button, but then again I just spent a half hour typing and it is something I need to get off my chest, because I felt the need to start typing in the first place. *sighs* oh well, I hope like HELL I don't lose any points with anyone for this, I... I really don't want to make anyone feel bad or guilty or insignificant to me or yeah... so, please don't...
Edit: yeah, I'm, almost definitely going to delete this in the morning... the more I think about it and the more my brain activates I get more and more nervous about everyone looking at me and going "oh great he's turning into a selfish whiner furry... *unfollow/block/do not talk to*

Posted 13 years agoNo I don't desperately need the money or anything XD my financial situation is just fine right now. I just cleaned up my room today and found a few things that i haven't used in a long time that still have some value to them that I either haven't used in a while or replaced with better stuff. My folks always want me to get in the habit of throwing stuff away or recycling them, but why am i going to toss out still working/usable/reparable stuff that someone might have a use for or a need for? Hence why i've lended my backup laptop to my pet konoku before, sent lots of stuff to my lil brother Tank, and sent technology I wasn't using to Charem as well :P
All of these items will be shipped from central New Jersey, and I'll consider offers lower than what I'm asking for :p ALSO, I will accept TRADES FOR COMMISSIONS that value about the same as my asking price :) I'm actually hoping that happens ^^

I've used it for about 3 months anfd then let it sit for another 3 before getting my next android device, and so this is not ever gonna be used by me again. Now this thing has been well taken care of and worked just fine for years, I've not tougched it in about a year or so but when I plugged new batteries in to test it today i couldn't get power from them. It works absolutely fine when the AC cable is plugged in though! More pics than the other two years combined :D This makes me a happy sharkie! ^^ I am an artslut after all lol. Posted 13 years agoOr better called Shark Week Lopsided Trades XD for the third year in a row during shark week, I wanna see an explosion f drawings of my shark self, IronGut! and so I offer the following deal for any artist, any skill level at all:
You do 1 sketch from scratch of IronGut doing whatever you like or something from my ideas list...
And I will ink and color that sketch, PLUS another sketch of YOUR CHOOSING, for free!
This deal is valid all throughout shark week, ending on the 19th.
So essentially you do one sketch but recieve two pieces of art when you're done :D It's been a great success already this year and I wanna see more! *greedyshark is a greedyshark* heheh ^^ Already I've got people pledged to participate as well as an already finished sketch :D And don't worry if during the week you've made your pic but see me being slow to finish the coloring and such on your pics XD I am working pretty seriously PLUS got FAU coming up this weekend, so I will be busy :P But I PROMISE I'll get everones stuff done ;)
