Posted 15 years agoSince I'm always on the lookout for cheap commissions, and I mean like dollar sketches and such, I tend to notice when artists do such things. I found one that right now was offering up a good enough deal I've finally ran out of ideas for commissions to get from him XD so I'm posting here some buddies of mine and artists who are accepting commissions CHEAP!

Posted 15 years agoI'm back from vacation by the way :3 so after I get squared away tomorrow with work and such expect to see me back on MSN ^^ I missed you guys.
However, I returned JUST IN TIME to see my own 10,000th pageview! AWESOME! That's more than I've gotten on any other site under any other alias (well unless counting individual youtube and xtume naughty videos XD but you have to take off at least 1 full digit with them to make things fair 8P ) Still awesome, I only wish I had a screencap of it XD I don't want to fake it ;P
Oh, and it's SHARK WEEK!!!!! My favorite week EVAR! *dives off into the ocean and swims in big gleeful circles with the other sharks before flipping on Discovery Channel*

* I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
* I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
* I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
* We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
* I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
* I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
* I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
* I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
* We are the couple who had the Realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
* I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

The Drak and Oro fund... (commissions open)
Posted 15 years agoOk, so my parents are completely being douchebags about me traveling to see my mate and my little Bro, and they essentially keep putting me in catch 22's about the whole notion. They said earlier in the year that if I went down to see 
in Alabama, that they'd pay for the hotel room because they didn't want me staying at his house. Well, they've RETRACTED that offer, and I basically had to almost strongarm my dad about how unfair it was to say "YOU CAN'T GO DOWN IF YOU'RE GOING TO STAY AT HIS HOUSE AND WE WON'T PAY FOR A HOTEL ROOM!" And got a compromise out of him that I 'm going to get in writing (I do not mean that figuratively. I'm going to get him to write down for me this new deal) that if Drak were to meet me for just one or two days in Atlanta Georgia that they'd pay for the hotel.
Of course this isn't even to START on my big dream trip to go to England to see
and

Which I'm sure will be EQUALLY as objected to and catch 22'd because of the COST, not the Alabama = redneck town fear, but right now I have to focus on one trip at a time simply so I don't go insane. I promise though, no matter how long it takes, I WILL go see you Oro <3 <3 <3.... and Rik <3 <3 <3..... and Lappie <3....

I had a brain wave to use my furry email address to open a new paypal account for myself, calling it the "Drakkoid-Oro Fund", which I WILL NOT USE for ANYTHING EXCEPT, paying for the flight and hotel rooms in order to see the people I love so very much so far away. I AM OPENING UP FOR DONATIONS AND PAY WHAT YOU WANT COMMISSIONS using that fund, because I'm sick of seeing the money I put aside needing to go for gas and such. Well fatness is something I've liked recently because I am a fatass in real life. MORE RANTING! 8D About the Opposition of Cub Art!

I think, like a lot of controversial topics in the furry world, it all boils down to a matter of separating and knowing the difference between fantasy and reality. Yes, I do think it's just that simple. Let me explain, all art is an extension of fantasy. If it were reality it wouldn't be art, am I right? Take a painting of a brilliant landscape that Bob Ross paints. It' an awesome, realistic looking landscape, but that landscape doesn't actually exist, it's just a painting, a representation, and hence it's fantasy, hence, art.
I look at cub the same way, if it's an image of someone/something that does not exist, and even if it is something BASED off of something that exists (example, drawing what you think the Olsen twins would have looked like naked in their child days), it's still fantasy because it's not based off of something real (in other words you made that drawing of the naked Olsen twins by either HAVING a picture of the olsen twins naked as kids, or had them model for you as kids). Cub art goes even further because it CAN'T possibly be based off of reality, because there are no anthropomorphic cubs fucking or presenting themselves to the artist, so by definition cub is fantasy.
Now, no matter what the case may be, I don't think fantasy should EVER be outlawed, in ANY form, because then you're treading into CONTROLLING AND LIMITING PEOPLE'S THOUGHTS. If I say, "You can't fantasize about this (cub art)", then I'm saying "I forbid you to THINK in this direction", and that is, quite obviously, THOUGHT CONTROL. It's infringing on the most basic human right of "My thoughts are my own". Otherkin: A less hateful, more rational rant

Now, unlike furry, otherkin has had a very specific definition that I can basically state and noone will disagree with it. Otherkin = A person who believes their spirit or soul to be that of a different real of fictional species, and lives their life believing this to be true, including down to it influencing their life decisions (Example, the guy who I saw claiming to want to raise his soon to be born son with Na'vi beliefs and dogma.)
Now, if you claim to be otherkin and that definition is wrong, I don't consider you otherkin, but now to furries. My definition of furry is a hell of a lot more clear and concise than most. I say Furry = A person who associates themselves with a real of fictional animal species. This includes myself, where I associate myself with a great white, blue shark half breed, and as I've explained in my "Why The Hell Am I A Shark" journal ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/678854/ ), this comes from my traits of having a vorish appetite / love of the water / love of cool temperatures / highly developed senses of sight and touch / and for being very determined yet unmotivated.

A furry in my definition REALIZES they are human, and does not do anything other than fantasize about being a fantasy version of their animal. I am a homo-sapien, I have ten fingers, two of which are thumbs, I walk with bipedal locomotion and I have light body hair and a lot more hair concentrated on my head.
