Happy New Years Everyone!

Personally, 2016 has been an improvement compared to my previous year. Still working a low wage job but a more enjoyable one that offers better benefits so that's nice! Haven't had to sit in any hospitals bawling my eyes out either! Plus I'll be going back to school this Spring! Feeling stagnant and not doing more of what I love had me pretty deep in the depression pit most of this year, but the plus side of school is keeping me on a schedule to learn something new! :D
As for my New Years resolutions I'm getting a gym membership and putting myself to a schedule. I've gotten better about eating healthy and cutting out sugar and it's done a lot to help my daily anxiety, so I'm hoping exercise will further help things along (Plus I miss my beautiful abs from back when I did karate). I also plan on getting the birth control implant in preparation for the Trumpocalypse. I have no interest in growing my own human anyways.
As for commissions and art, I've been given accomadations at work so I'll have more free time to focus on studying, and hopefully some more time to draw as well!

Posted 10 years agoSo, I didn't realize just how long its been since I've actually posted any art up here and figured I'd let you guys in on whats been keeping me all busy of late. Back in the spring was my last semester of undergrad so I was not only busy with my classes and getting all the extra senior stuff sorted, but also dealing with a major case of burnout and being constantly sick with flu and/or sinus infections. I normally don't get sick at all, or at least not to the point I wind up at the doctor so I think it was the stress getting to me. I ended up taking a week after graduation just to catch up on sleep and nurse myself to feeling halfway normal.
I got a job working at a factory during the summer. Far from my dream job, but the pay was decent and I needed a quick job till I can find something better. I would like to get with a company and do something like graphic/web design but even with my undergrad work I feel... lacking in ability in certain areas so I was looking to do art and practice on my days off. At the same time I was also looking for an apartment with my bf so that I can finally start feeling independent and cause my mom and I don't exactly stand on the best of terms most days. (Plus it would be nice to not have someone always prying through my things)
On July 18th, a few days before my bf and I were going up to look at a promising apartment that was near where I work and a bit closer to his, my bf got into a head on collision on the way from work. How he is alive the docs don't even understand. He's missing at least part of MOST of his organs, plus they removed his spleen and gall bladder. His aorta was shredded and how that alone didn't kill him before he got to the hospital baffled the docs. But he's alive thankfully, and finally got to come home a week ago. I've been spending my days off at the hospital keeping him company or, in the beginning, sitting with him hoping he would make it through the night.
Things are finally settling down now (thankfully) and I've recently gotten back into Flight Rising and am making some adoptable coatl dragons for extra dosh on there. I've also got a good stack of commissions with a few almost completed so stay tuned for some new stuff popping up this week and next!

Question for my Watchers
Posted 11 years agoHi everyone! I know that a lot of you are watchers from when most of what I uploaded was mass effect related art. I plan on posting a lot of non-mass effect art in the future and was wondering if you all liked seeing my other doodles and such or would prefer me to make another account instead and just keep uploading only mass effect on this account?
