I’ve written quite a lot of prey that die somewhat permanently in the same stories they’re introduced in. Any favorites you guys have? If so, why?

Is it weird that I use pictures of feral animals to represent anthro preds in most of my story thumbnails? I feel like it’s kind of misleading people on the content of the story.

Today I discovered that turkeys are apparently the pigs of birds. In that they are extremely omnivorous and will eat anything that can fit in their beak. Including small animals like mice and lizards.

Maybe those jokes about cassowaries being murder turkeys weren’t so far off…

Ever heard of a shrike? It’s a pretty small species of bird that loves to stab small animals to death and eat them. They even eat other birds. They’re adorable little psychopaths and one of the few non-raptorial carnivorous bird species.

These things would go hard as anthro preds. Probably hunt wayyyyyy above their weight class just for shits and giggles.

Had an idea for a modern setting occupied by humans and anthro mythical beasts (dragons, unicorns, phoenixes, etc.) where the beasts are treated as a food source because they can regenerate/reform idfk

Imagine being a pred and your prey is squirming a lot, begging for their life, saying they want to see their family again, yadda yadda, and you decide to just shut them up and crush them against the inside of a doorway, not only crushing them to death, but folding their shattered corpse in on itself like a taco.

Ok, one round of NFL playoffs in the books. To recap with mascots:

-Mascots like Billy Buffalo, Roary, K.C. Wolf and Toro have successfully devoured the competition
-Whilst their rivals, Swoop, Rampage, T.D. and Chomps fester in toilets

I didn’t include Green Bay, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh or Dallas because they either didn’t have a mascot or had a human for one (not a huge fan).

Still thinking about yesterday’s game and the temperature at Arrowhead. I only just checked, and it turns out it was the fourth coldest in league history. Goddamn. Really goes to show just how much endurance is required to play American football.

If I were able to draw better, I would totally draw K.C. Wolf treating himself to a nice, life-sized dolphin popsicle lol

Kinda wanna do a project for February called “Featherbruary” (Horrible name, I know) in the vain of voretober where I write a short story about a different bird species getting nommed every day, maybe in a journal format from a pred’s perspective. My only concern is that I might burn out quickly once I start. I’ve got a bunch of species I wanna try writing, but I’m still open to suggestions, especially since I’m trying to avoid a few birb species I’ve already written a lot of vore for like ravens and cardinals.

Also, I’ll probably do a story for the Super Bowl when the NFL playoffs wrap up.

Well, 2023 is finally coming to a close! I ran some stats in the stories I wrote this year:

*I wrote a total of 1 fanfic and 9 original stories
*About 15 birds were eaten, including nonfatal vore
*Said birds include 5 ravens, 2 cardinals,1 crow, 1 barn owl, 1 blue-footed booby, 1 hawk, 1 bluebird, 1 blue jay, 1 Baltimore oriole, and 1 barn swallow
*Felines we’re my most popular choice for pred, appearing in 4 stories
*Quentin, being my only oc as of current, appeared more than any other character

And that’s it! I’m hoping to god for a good 2024, even though I’m almost certain it will be a shitshow. At least NFL playoffs are coming up!

Also, I did enjoy writing the character of Phillip in this story, and I would like to feed him to something else, I’m just not sure what. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I’ve seen a few journals and such around FA where people do Q&As speaking from the perspective of OCs they have, and seeing as we’re coming to the end of the calendar year, I figured it might be interesting to have one of the most consistent characters in my writing, artwork, and request (Just the one) so far, the regret-free, sadistic, bird-eating cat Quentin Barrie, answer some questions. Would this be something any of you are interested in? If so, go ahead and leave a question or two below, I guess.

Hoping to finish up another story before New Years, hope I got enough gas in the tank. ^v^
