in the interests of keeping my accounts consistent across the board, i have finally decided to create  shroompunk on this site and pop over to there. i'll be leaving up the art that's on this account, but begin sharing new stuff over there if you want to follow and keep up!

so following years of mild wrist problems, it suddenly blew out of proportion into daily pain, which has led to some difficult drawing, as well as being active on social media since even typing hurts. i'm dealing with tendonitis on both arms, as well as tennis elbow and basically I'm in hell and getting steroid shots to try and get back my hand function without constant pain. if this works, I should be able to become more active on here again, but if not, I'll probably continue to be pretty scarce.

So I've had some folks lately tell me they enjoy my character designs (especially more bizarre ones like my eyeboy, Lee)

If I decided to start making adopts, would there be any interest in them? I'd probably do a range from more simply drawn to more detailed and price them according to the detail in the ref.

so some folks have noticed that I've been posting chunks of art once again, back on my game. I've just about got everything up to speed here versus what I've posted on tumblr. just about.

after a number of issues with my graduate program, I've chosen to withdraw and now I'm back out in the world with a lot more free time. in response to this, two things:

essentially, my patreon gives patrons access to images before I post them up for everyone to see, and based on reward tiers, they can get anything from a sketch to a fully shaded image once per month at reduced prices as compared to my commission costs, as a token of my appreciation for their continued patronage. details of tiers and prices are available on my patreon page.

if anyone has any suggestions of things they'd like to see added to my patreon as reward tiers, I'm also totally open to suggestions!

(please note: because of past issues that other users have had on patreon, rewards will only start to be produced once a patron's initial payment has processed, at the beginning of the month. if a patron joins on after the payment date but wants something for the month they joined on, they can message me directly and we can work something out)

so most likely people have noticed that I'm posting a kind of excessive amount of artwork all at once, the fact of the matter is I'm relocating for college and will be leaving my desktop computer behind at home, so I've been uploading all the backlog of artwork with the idea of getting it posted here before I have trouble accessing it.

I'll be quiet on making new art for a while after that probably while I get myself situated, as this is a pretty far move for me, but hey! lots to look at right now, right?

I'll also be trying to set up an official commissions page once I've got the time; I do take commissions and currently they aren't closed exactly but may be a bit slow as I am moving cross-country on Friday.

hey everyone, I'm not really sure what to do with journals anymore--I haven't been on a site that's had a journal function in a pretty long while (not since ye olde deviantart days). I figured I'd pop on and say hey though, since I'm shiny and new here.

I'm Eli, I'm generally pretty new to the world of furries--I started out last fall drawing my good good kenku boy Trill for the DnD campaign I'm in, and then since then have just slowly drifted into drawing more and more birds. I've been drawing for a pretty long time and spent a real long time just drawing people and still lives. I've got a BA and I'm going to be embarking on an MFA very shortly and this is kind of my de-stressing art.

I have a presence on a few other sites, especially on tumblr where my url is 51seven and I've been posting art on there for a while. you'll see some stuff there that's not on here yet, I'm pushing through my backlog of art and trying not to spam this place all at once. so eventually most of that will be over here.

other than that, hi! I'm friendly, no need to be shy about chatting with me, I'm just trying to figure out how I fit into the community here + make some friends.
