Fuck Walmart
Posted 14 years agoFinally I did it. I no longer work for this disgusting company. My college / studying / Information technology certification achievements have paid off. I now work for a much better employer making much better money doing work I enjoy. No more having to fight with managers because they forgot to schedule me around my school despite having 2 months of notice. No more listening to the creepy poor women in the break room go on and on about trying to figure out which one of the thirty guys they slept with over the past two months is the father of the baby they are currently pregnant with. No more listening to crazy people scream at each other all night because the lions lost. No more listening to crazy people yell at each other all night because the lions won.
No more putting up with managers who purposely change employees schedules at the last minute and not bother telling them just so they can write them up as late or a no call no show.
No more listening to crazy over-religious people. Not regular religious people, I mean the ones who are true nut-casses. I am atheist, and never told anyone I worked with that because I know I would have been beaten to death in the parking lot if I had.
For a dam year and a half I worked for this horrid company at this horrid nightmare of a store. This store that ignores worker safety issues and invents every reason possible to give the lowest raises possible.
I knew if I stuck with it and studied hard my schooling would pay off. My last shift ended at 7am this morning and as of that time I am no longer employed with Walmart and I could not be fucking happier. Not every manager was bad, and not all the employees there were either, just too many. Fuck Walmart, and any who read this still working with them you have my sympathy. At the very least I hope your store is better then mine was.

Wanna know what disturbs me the most though? This story came up and school and the response I heard from some of the classmates I have was "well... that's what you get for trying to pass herself off as a woman when she was a man." The people in my class did not care at all that her arms and legs were cut off leaving only a burned torso, they could not get past her being trans. Un-fucking believeable.

Ok, I gotta rant about this just a bit here. This is not directly aimed at the furry world, but I do hear a lot of complaining on sofurry and FA about how shitty people’s life is so I decided to post this here also, and hopefully it will inspire atleast a few to get off there ass and do something. If you hate your job and hate the state your life is in then for gods sakes, fucking DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
This rant is inspired by an incident I just got into yesterday with some co-workers who bitch all day about hating there life and there job. Ok, let me set it up a bit so you know what I am talking about. Currently, I am 28 years old and push carts outside of a Wal-Mart store. Yup, a shitty job. Like so many other people I fell into the fray where I was never able to find what I needed to do with myself. Always looking, but never finding what I needed. I work every day with a group of guys in there mid to late 20’s, and all of them bitch and whine all day every single day about how much they hate their job and how miserable there life is. The problem here is that none of them are even trying to change their situation. None of them are in college. None of them are looking for better jobs, and ALL of them still live with their parents.
Now am I any better then them? Yes and no. Like I said, I fell into the same fray as them where I never found what I needed for myself. The difference though is that I never stopped looking, whereas all of them either gave up or never started looking to begin with. About 8 months ago, after much soul searching, I finally did find my way. I enrolled in college and am now a networking student.
I would not normally care what someone else did with their life as it is not my business, but in this case, the jerks I work with are starting trouble with me because of it. Six months ago my first semester started and I had to change my availability, I had night classes so on certain days I could have only morning shifts. Meaning the other guys had to take closing shifts on those days. So what did they do? They started running their mouth crying favoritism, claiming the managers like me better so I get what I want. Ummm…. No, no favoritism going on here, I simply decided to do something better with my life then work at wal-mart and spend all day complaining about how miserable I am like them.
About half way through the semester I picked up an internship on Saturdays so I can get hands on experience working in the field I am studying. This now means I get every Saturday off at Wal-mart and work mainly days shifts through the week. Naturally they scream and whine about it even more and one of them even decided to go and tell just about everyone at the store that I am gay, as if it were some secret. I only laughed about that being that I have been openly gay for years.
Now here comes the climax of this rant. Yesterday I handed my boss a letter of resignation. It basically said that I will be moving at the end of this semester (8 weeks from now :D :D) for a better job. Yup, all that studying and intern work paid off, as I have a job waiting for me at the end of this semester, and I will be making MUCH MUCH MUCH better money. My managers congratulated me and said they will miss me, and the guys I work with just got even more pissed. Later that day after giving my boss the letter, I got into a heated face to face shouting match with one of the guys, and I basically told him he was gonna be an old man still pushing carts at Wal-mart because he was too stupid to do anything but complain about how miserable he is.
Anyways, I know this was a long rant, but I wanted to post it and tell anyone reading this, if you are unhappy with your life then quit complaining about it and do something about it! Take the time to think your situation through and take action to make the changes.

Update on tales of a darkside
Posted 14 years agoOk, just for those reading my story tales of a darkside, I am posting to let you know, I have decided to move to a traditional comic style. After doing the first 41 pages in my own fashion, it turns out that the story just does not have the feel I thought it would when I first imagined it. Don't get me wrong, I am very glad I tried things my own way. If people did not have the gaul to try new things then life would be boring and predictable. However, that does not mean every new idea works out the way we imagine. I hope you still enjoy my story.
And as for why it is taking me so long to post new pages, well, college and work is taking all my time, but when I do get time, I have been working on them.

Posted 15 years agoJust letting all of you I talk to on yim know, I am not dead. I know I have not been on much lately. I have had a lot on my plate lately. I will not be on much for the next 2 months. I move at the end of this month and will be getting school stuff set up, so won't be on much if at all for the first few weeks once I am there. Just letting you all know that I have not dropped off the face of the earth. Just very busy and very stressed.

Posted 15 years agoSigh... guess I am just groaning to myself here. going through a light depression. I applied for a job I had my eye on for a while, waited really patiently for the position to come available and when it did I went for it. I really had my heart set on this job. Got turned down. Guess I am just venting to myself here. I am unsatisfied with what I am doing now and am trying to change that. Well, thats all..

Posted 16 years agoHave not been on for a while. I have had a lot of stuff going on, and on top of that my OS crashed and then my motherboard died. So I scraped some old parts together and now have a working system going. Put linux on and and said the hell with shitty ass windows. Not that it matters much, I don't have any watchers yet, but that will change once I get my work out there. I have also decided to start doing my own pictures for my stories too, that is if I ever get time to work on them. Anyways, if anyone does read this, feel free to give me a shout.
