Just making the obligatoty post from my newly arrived tiny little laptop. Just a wee netbook,but I love it. ^^

I plan to use this in order to write on the go a bit. It's just a little 10.1 inch deal.

The spiffy thing I'm going to enjoy is the instant OS thats built in. Press the power button, and a few second later you're online and using the net, or in my case on Google docs, writing. ^^

To those of you that have been keeping up with the series, or those that have just started reading.

I want to ask, how are you liking the story so far?

And the characters?

Do you identify, feel for, or have any sort of emotion toward any of them?

I ask because I really love feedback. I crave it! What more, nearly every bit of feedback I get I've worked back into the story in some way or another.

So please, tell me how you feel about Mark, or toward Dr. Mertezi ^^

Also, what particular sorts of themes would you like to see more of in upcoming chapters?

I've finally been able to sit down and pump out a section of chapter 8. I'm just past page seven, and have perhaps one or two more scene to go before I release it.

What more, at least one of those scenes should prove quite... fun P:

In other news, I'm back from camping, clearly, and had an amazing time. I may upload a few of the photos I took while up there. Really wish my star pictures came out right, but it turns out that the Earth is spinning all the time, and my camera doesn't track that XD

I'll be away for the weekend, under the stars.

I loved this bit of work so much I felt obligated to pay a tad more, and went so far as to add a background to bring out the characters.

Perhaps i can ask a bit of advice from others. I'd like to get a drawing done of Mark in his final form, but I'm not entirely sure who to go with for it.

Preferably I'd like to have it done by someone talented in the ways of drawing dragons and the like, hopefully okay with doing ovi stuff, and I'd prefer to at least get it inked.

Since I've recently gotten a job, I'd be able to afford upwards of about $20-40.

So far the only fur that springs to mind is  moodyferret though I'd like to weigh my various options.

Any help in this would be most appreciated! Thank you ^^

In other news, the next chapter is well on its way, one little bit at a time. I've been editing here and there at work in the tiny 10 minute breaks I get, as well as other times, when I'm able. No real idea just when it will be out, but it's coming!

Now, as for news. My job is going well enough, though it's leaving me terribly drained all the time. Has also given my footpaws a nice, gentle musky scent. *toewiggles*

I've come a long way as a writer since I wrote that first part some three years ago. It is by no means up to the standards I have for writing today, and I've been giving a rewrite a think about here and there. Though, I think I want to finish the story, that's more important.

I'm employed! Soon I should start getting a paycheck, and working regularly. Things are looking up. ^^

Secondly, I've gotten back to work on the next chapter of Two Weeks. After my experience with various commissions, I've learned quite a bit, and improved my style I think.

Yes, after a long wait, and lots and lots of work, it's finally complete!

'Tis a birthday story for  klonoap from  anovakovic

It turned out to be 17,251 words, and about 28 pages according to Google Docs' word count.
Grant total time to write, about a month and a half!

So, that makes this the longest story I've ever written, aside from multi-chapter stuff.

That took a lot of effort, but I'm quite happy with how it came out.

I suppose it's time to give a little update about what I've been working on.
My latest little project has been for a certain pair of friends.

It's a sequel for All Dolled Up, entitled "Delivery."

I'm at 11,241 words, and in the middle of page 16, and still have a fair number of pages to go. That makes it the longest story I've ever written, not counting my multi-chapter pet project.

Unfortunately, my estimate that it'd be done by the end of the month was a bit underestimated. With the sheer amount I'm putting into it, this may still be a little while longer.

Just to give an idea, the first thirteen pages is only about an hour or so in story.

So, I'm quite looking forward to getting this done, but there's no way I'm rushing it. *giggles*

I've the last of the story planned out now, just needs to be written. ^^

I've been playing about with my avatar some more, and it's now properly animated with fun wiggly tentacles!

[edit] got rid of a little jerkiness, looks better now.

I felt like touching up my avatar a bit more to make it look all nice and such.

Also had a bit of an idea, perhaps to make avatars for others.

Now, first and foremost, I have to say I can't draw, and I won't be drawing.
What I can do, however, is color.
So, if you have line art, or some sort of sketch, I could touch it up to make it look all nice and spiffy to be an avatar.

As an example I took this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/510665/ touched it up a bunch, and my current avatar is the result. Adding tentacles seems rather easy, and I'm just looking for a little side project to do on off days when I have to save my paws from typing.

I'm taking the time to write up chapter seven of Two Weeks: A Familiar Face. I'm not going to reveal all that happens, but ... Alan, Mertezi's Nephew (and Mark's high-school crush) arrives at the lab. After a bit of settling in, he gets to explore the complex, and there's lots of fun to be had.

I'm planning to set the base price for my upcoming commissions to $40, though this won't apply to those that have already gotten into the cue, unless you agree to it of course. (I will be exceptionally grateful if you did ^^)

FC is fast approaching, and I will be there! Certainly would love to meet anyone else that'll be in attendance as well.
I'm scrimping and saving as much, and as quick, as I can. I've put some thought into accepting commission payment ahead of time, but I don't want to make people wait months for their paid-for story, as so many artists that I've heard about have done.

Health-wise my paws are improving all the time, so yay! ^^
