Like what the hell did we JUST establish 20 seconds ago before you came down here? And like this isn't the first time I've had this exact convo with him. People tend to leave free stuff for grabs in the lobby, especially towards the end of the semester. So just last week the same exchange happened. And before anyone asks yes all of the stuff had a note saying "free" both of those times.

So here's the deal, I'm going on yet another commission ban, this one will last for an entire year because clearly these measly month ones aren't working.

The rules;
I will be unable to purchase ANY YCH's
I will be unable to purchase ANY characters
I will be unable to purchase commissions UNLESS it is from someone on my Artist Bucket List that can be found towards the bottom of my page description.
I will still be able to participate in free raffles and such as those aren't the problem
I will also be able to buy my friends presents ONLY for special occasions though.

Friends, Watchers, random people that some how stumbled across this, help keep me in check please! Me and my wallet will thank you (even though I might pout and throw a fit :P)

Romance and relationships is something I've always been pretty shitty with but like I seriously don't think I'll ever find what I'm looking for. When I go out and look I find I'm either surrounded by dicks who just want to get some and go or I'm surrounded by the overly desperate who expect me to be completely into them by day one and when I'm not and I try to break away they KEEP FUCKING HARASSING ME. When I do find people I'm interested in they just aren't into me, which is 100% fine. But it's like I can't catch a break. So that's it I guess. I give up.

Day three and I already want to break. Guess my addiction was worse than I thought...

I clearly have a problem... I'm going on another art ban except this time its ALL types of commissions for two months. Obviously whats listed on my page is what I'm waiting on (I have to check to make sure everything is on there) and obviously I'm going to allow myself to partake in freebies because those aren't the problem.

My whole family tends to have obsessive personalities so it's no surprise to me that I'm like this, but I think I need to calm down a bit.

But yeah... Friends, my Arizona family, even the lurkers I have to ask you guys to help keep me in line. I only get a couple hundred a month for allowance and I should really be spending that on food and other necessities I've been putting off...

Ok so I really hate when people leave shouts that say "thank you for the watch." And I know that no one that will ever see this will be guilty of this but like jeeze. I have it written THREE FUCKING TIMES on my page to not leave shouts saying thanks for the watch. Twice in my bio once in the shout box.

It's a petty thing but I hate it because it's super hollow. Like if you are leaving these shouts especially on people's pages who say not to it feels like your just checking an item off the list and don't actually care. It's just copy paste done.

Don't get me wrong, I like receiving shouts but like when I see I got a shout and get all excited just to see this copy paste crap it's super disappointing.

So due to an obsessive nature that runs in my family I tend to get hooked on things and then super obsessed with that one thing so much so that I tend to spend way too much on it without realizing. So for that reason I'm putting myself on a YCH ban. I am still allowing myself to get normal commissions, as I don't often order those. I also have a major problem with buying characters.

My YCH ban is only slotted to last a month, however I may extend it if I'm still compulsively trying to buy them.

My character buying ban is indefinite for now. I want to try to go a year without so much as bidding on a new character.

If you're wondering why I'm telling you this, it's mostly a contract to myself. If I put myself on this ban and not tell anyone my plans I'm less likely to actually go through with it. So yeah...

I WILL LET YOU KNOW THOUGH, that I'm still waiting on YCHs and other things from other people. I'm expecting I think five things in total but I may be off on that number. So if you see thousands go up over the next month know that I didn't break this contract, I had already bought those. Also I have 2 characters that I have not uploaded here yet for one reason or another but they will be going up soon!

So I know I'm really new to the community so I don't know if this is a common thing, but as someone who deals in advertising design and photography this irks me. If I pay you in advance to do something for me then I ask that you just keep me updated and communicate with me. I don't care if this is via a queue link or by email. I JUST WANT TO KNOW THAT STUFF I'VE ALREADY PAID FOR IS GETTING DONE. For every freelance advertising job I've been given I always give my client regular emails, regardless of whether I've been paid yet or not! If I've ordered something from you and you don't even keep me updated then how am I supposed to know that I didn't just send money to a scam.

Like it's not hard to just check in with someone. Like a "hey I've received your payment and reference, I'll start as soon as I can!" I don't even care if its just a sketch and it takes you a month, just let me know when you intend to get around it. This isn't even just so I can make sure you as the artist is doing what you need to be doing, it's so I as the client can know I'm doing everything I need to do! Like if you didn't receive my ref and it's been like a week THEN TELL ME! There's always a chance that I fucked up somewhere along the way, so it never hurts to let me know.

Now, on the other hand if the art is a gift/free then you do you boo. Keep me in the loop if you feel like it or if you don't then that's cool too. It's free. It's just nice that you are even giving me the art. I mean don't get me wrong I appreciate every piece of artwork I receive, paid or free.

But like I said, maybe this is just the typical thing and I'm just being selfish. I don't know. I also know that the only people that are going to see this are not the people I'm referring to it's just something I had to put out there.
