Well....I was never cute, but ya know. :P Spending 5 days here in Ft. Myers, Florida visiting my friend Gletscher and just having a great time. Bought my first alcoholic beverage at 12:01 Eastern Standard Time, (un)fortunately, the important moment was caught in a snapshot.

HerrAardy just happened to make the most kick-ass picture of him ever. Most of the times, he's dull and looks like any other canine. I think it's more lulzy than anything else, just shows how desperate some are. Aardy and I hosted the image, so we set ourselves up for this, but still....so pathetic.

General | Posted 16 years agoA past love interest made me something, he labored for weeks creating it. Eventually, for several reasons, we decided to call things off, but even then, we still talked. Recently, I did something to upset him terribly, because we haven't talked in what seems like forever. But he never told me what I did, and he has cut me out of his life entirely. He will more than likely never read this journal to see how much it's actually bothering me, and he probably doesn't care. So, now, I'm debating on sending what he gave me back.
So, the question is, if someone sent you something and you two fell out of favor with each other, would you send it back?

General | Posted 16 years agoThis last month or so has been an emotional roller coaster of stupidity. People who I considered dearest of friends abandoning me and pretending I don't exist, hurting people's feelings, and having to deal with the constant feeling of being unappreciated. Well, I've taken some hits, but here I am, still going. I finally lucked out and obtained the $2600 needed to get my car back into 100% working order, my mother was awarded over $100,000 from the courts, thanks to my deadbeat father, and I managed to make some money for myself today as well, outside of my normal job. Things are looking up and it's nice, I got tired of having my face in the dirt. Thanks to the friends who have helped me, you know who you are. You guys are the main reason why I keep going. <3

One year ago...
General | Posted 16 years agoAt this very same time of day, I was at the lowest point I have ever been in my life. My hopes, annihilated, my dreams, obliterated, my good intentions, in vain. I was a shell, my heart ripped from my very chest, laying on the ground in front of me, turning to dust as it gave its last few beats. For the first time since I was in the hospital, 7 years prior, I cried. My once sealed tear ducts finally yielding once to my emotions. I had never cried so hard, I had never felt so alone, so dead.
The truth is that I wasn't alone, I was far from it. The point of this message is to give thanks to those who gave me guidance, protection, comfort, friendship and love for me when if I didn't have it, I could guarantee that I wouldn't be here today, one year later. Time has flowed on, things have changed. Friends have come and friends have gone, and I have gotten just a little bit older. But in reality, things haven't changed that much in other regards. My friends are still the most important thing in my life, and to this day, I refuse to quit.

Has this ever happened to you?
General | Posted 17 years agoYou're listening to the radio, watching a movie, viewing a play, hell... watching a cartoon or anime, and a song starts playing in the background. And as you listen, you realize that you can relate to the song line-for-line?
I feel silly, I was watching the latest Gundam 00 S2 episode and during an über-BAWWWWWW moment (those happen in 00 a lot) the ending theme starts playing, only it's a capella and then leads into credits, Now, I typically don't pay attention to the credits, but the song took on a whole new array of emotions with the added verse. It went from being some slow jpop song, to something vocally moving. So, I decided to find the lyrics and as I read them, I felt my heart swell up inside my chest. The lyrics, even though they were in Japanese, nailed my emotions dead on.

There is the song that did it for me if anyone is curious, any one else ever been moved this much by a song, and if so, what one? Or am I just that weird?

Further Confusion 09
General | Posted 17 years agoSo....my first furcon, good god was that insane. XD I arrive on Thursday, had a flight with a friend and another I hadn't seen in a while, so that made things tolerable. I arrived at the convention (waiting 20 minutes for the damn shuttle), some suiters and a lot of people in general. After checking in and putting my stuff in the room, decided to head on over to register. Thank god I pre-regged AND got the Sponsor package, I was in and out in about 15 minutes while other poor souls had to wait in line for HOURS.
So, once that was done, it was time to hook up with all of my friends. It was wonderful to see all my friends from Sacramento, and even a couple people from IRC, and the couple of friends I have in Texas. It was just neat to have everything in the same place. So, after doing some room hopping, I came back and got some rest, only to wake up early and camp outside the dealer's den.
Thank god I did because if I hadn't, I more than likely wouldn't have gotten a sketchbook commission from
Bonk. I wandered around the dealer's room for a while, dropped off my sketchbook with 
Gideon and put in badge orders with 
Touchmybadger, 
Pulsifer and Marci McAdams. I had some change in my pocket and even got one of those cute $1 badges Gideon was pushing. Another awesome moment was meeting 
MoodyFerret for the first time. I had gotten my first picture from her back in 04', but I had never met her until this weekend. It was somewhat surreal to meet the person who brought my character to life. So, when all was said and done, I went to FC with one badge, I walked out with 4 more (5 if you count the $1 badge).
On day two, I commissioned Zen Migawa for a picture. Needless to say, I was floored by the awesomeness of the picture once I had it in my grasp. He was so great to work with too, I need to think of more stuff so I can commission him again, easily one of the best mechanical furry artists out there. There was some random stupid stuff too, I misplaced both my driver's license and con ID, but I was able to find them eventually. After I blew my cash, I spent most of the time hanging out with friends and wandering around. I am also waiting for the videos of the remote-control-rat to appear on FA, seeing as me and friends were driving it around the lobby after taping a human face to the top. I watched the masquerade and Furry Night Live, both were cute and it was awesome to watch with friends. It was really difficult to leave today, knowing that tomorrow I will be back on a plane to someplace barely any better than hell itself. But I fly for free so I'll be abusing that privilege a bit more now. The con was a great experience, can't wait to do it all over again next year. :D

It's 100 years in the future, and you are with the love of your life and from the looks of things, will never be splitting up, you are in the perfect relationship. But in the future, there are plenty of wars, and more and more people are dying each day from violence. You have been diagnosed with an incurable disease and have 6 months to live. With all of the advancements of mankind, there is a chance a cure will be found, but when it is found is not guaranteed. You have only two options:
1: you are put into cryogenic stasis until a cure is found. You might be out quickly, or you might be frozen for hundreds or even thousands of years. And with the ongoing violence on earth, who knows what will happen to the planet.
2: you live the last 6 months with your love, trying to make the time count and you lover watches you as your condition worsens and you finally die.
Which option would you choose?
This question is brought up after watching the short anime OVA, Aim For the Top: Gunbuster! Not only is this anime pleasing for the action lovers, but deals with a question similar to this one. And with events in my life making me question things, I just wanted to know what others would say.
