Rage art draft- Vampire cult time! (no sparkling, just GORE)
Posted 10 years agoArtists wanted to work on the next Rage CCG fanset. Something is going down in the Carpathians. Time for the Garou to combat the Wyrm wherever is BREEDS, which means taking out the vampiric and demonic corruption spreading through the area.
All cards have gone through extensive playtesting before getting to this final step of acquiring art.
Artist can either produce a custom piece OR they may give permission to use an existing piece from the existing portfolio. what do we specifically need art of?

The last page of the PDF download has contact info for the various artists. You can put info for ordering a print of the artwork, commissioning you, or the address for your website.
The second version is as a download for an online player (Lackey) that allows you to play Rage across the internet. All images display full copyright info. The player is free to use.
You would also get the same information placed on the webpage the PDF would be downloaded from. We can easily leave off your e-mail contact so you won’t be spammed, and simply say “see the PDF for full contact information.” We usually include the whole artist listing or a link to the artist listing on all press releases depending on the format of the site we’re sending the information to.
You’ll get a final proof of the card to look at before it goes into the PDF so you can give a final yes or no to whether you want to be associated with the project. If at some later point after its released you decide you don’t want to be involved anymore, you can contact me and request your artwork be removed. It will be removed from the PDF and from the online player.

Posted 10 years agoForest of Dreams- DEVELOPMENT HELL. this is an art installation in a public space. its installed and I need to get in to fix an electrical issue with the lights. last I heard from my contact they were very sick and going to hospital for blood tests. that was a week ago... clearly project is cuuuuuuuuuuursed. it looks awesome other than the lights aren't coming on. ARGH. I am worried about their health, but also frustrated by having simple issue screwing up whole thing.
Bawdy Bartender #2- almost done with piece for portfolio with Tabbiewolf and a whole bunch of other folks.
Trailer Box show- midapril with three other artists. first show of the year at Trailer Box, so should have good attendance. the other artists make dinosaurs and augmented photography, I will be supplying sculpture. since I have so much florescent paint left in exact right colors from Forest of Dreams, will probably be doing a "life size" (well for cartoon life) Centipeedle sculpt from Steven Universe.
Bethel Arts- solo show April/May- mostly just old work rather than new work. I just need to reorganize it into a more logical flow.
Rage art- currently working on coloring work for Bastiaan Rours (see lots of examples in my gallery) and starting piece for Frank Jacobo (new) and will be doing so alone work

Posted 11 years agoI have show up at CityCenter Danbury (CT) through January 3rd. If you are going to First Night Danbury, the ticket office is at same venue as art show, so you can see it then!
My 2015 schedule is starting to fill up, so end of year is going to be clearing out some outstanding projects. Downside of owning a bookstore, holidays go to shit for doing ANYTHING else. But once the shipping deadline goes past, will try and clear out outstanding projects. which are surprisingly naughty. Santa's gonna be giving me coal, clearly.

* TENTACLE PORN! request- I don't always do requests, but when I do, it is for porn apparently.
* sexy pinup- collab portfolio with Tabbiewolf
* coloring werewolves- collab with Kailindorian

* mystery project with Jim. Do A THING. details to be determined.
* Fill labyrinth with monsters. Pending approval from insurer. If I don't get labyrinth space, have more conventional space... but about 600 square feet to fill. But a year to do it. was told to make people pee themselves in terror. I CAN DO THAT.

I'll also be posting art from show gradually. I still have some that I haven't posted from previous show because I was so overwhelmed by doing back to back gallery show. There's only two pieces that appear in both shows. This is the larger of the two shows.

Werewolf pirates ahoy! Sea Dogs set for Rage CCG
Posted 11 years agoUsually the Garou are the first to leap into battle, but the vast majority of the ocean is off limits to them. The struggles between the Rokea and the Chulorviah largely take place far beneath the waves. Rarely do they come to the surface. But when they do, a few hearty Garou are waiting to strike, to keep the evils of the deep confined there.
But the Wyrm has its own allies waiting at the fringes of the battles, waiting to pick off the wounded or attack their reinforcements.
And sometimes the two sides find each other and clash far from the eyes of their kind. Strange alliances form and dishonored outcasts may become heroes once more. 70% of Gaia is covered with water. If the Wyrm wins there, everything the Garou do on land may be for naught. Those that they cast out or scorned as fools may be the true
key to winning the Apocalypse.
Sea Dogs introduces 30 new cards for Rage in a semi-constructed deck. This deck can be played as either Gaia or Wyrm, depending on your character selection. Many of the characters are Rogues so can fight on either side of the battle. Will they join Captain Nate Hawk of the Get of Fenris as he seeks to severe the coils of Jörmungandr or will the join Archon-Capatin Kleist's crew and end the world's pain by letting it be devoured by the Abyss? So much rides upon the actions of so few. Make your deck and help decide the fate of the oceans!

Refreshments are provided at opening.

Chrome Extensions to crosspost to Weasyl from FA & DA

Works for Deviantart, Furaffinity, SoFurry, and Inkbunny.
To use, go to the page of the specific item (or view it right after posting) and in the address bar for submission you’ll see a red W icon. Click that and it’ll copy over the tags, description, and file to weasyl. Then you just need to select category and rating. Select thumbnail area and submit.
You can use it either on old submissions or ones you just submitted. just click through to the actual item page!
If there’s a mismatch between the source and weasyl as to what file type/size it accepts, you may not be able to autoimport. It works for MOST standard file types.
I've had a weasyl account for quite awhile, but found having to spend a long time crossposting really aggravating. this will definitely make sure I post more to Weasyl!

Sitting a gallery Sunday 29th, Bethel CT
Posted 12 years agoI will be sitting the gallery on Sunday the 29th from noon-4PM at 137 Greenwood Ave. Bethel, CT if you would like to see my work in person.
The show will be open January Saturday January 4th and Sunday January 5th noon-4PM as well, but I am NOT scheduled to sit those days.
It MIGHT extend for one more week past that, but if you really want to see things in person, plan on coming one of those three days!
Beyond that, I will have three more gallery shows in 2014 (so far!)... so that's why I appear to have been very quiet of late. Busy offline!
The show will be open January Saturday January 4th and Sunday January 5th noon-4PM as well, but I am NOT scheduled to sit those days.
It MIGHT extend for one more week past that, but if you really want to see things in person, plan on coming one of those three days!

Posted 12 years agoIt was a weird week where I got sucked into local politics and got to talk about grazing leases, hugelkultur, heat islands, urban runoff, and how this all relates to town plan of development and conservation. At official meeting things.
Cause I somehow turned into a respectable adult at some point. when'd that happen?
Bunny sculpt- sculpting done, now to painting
Rokea deck- currently in final proofreading, probably release this weekend!
Garden Dragon- per my earlier prediction, once I actually TRIED to get it to grow slime mold... no dice. apparently I need to use reverse psychology on my garden
Secret project- Alpha testing ... eventually. My partner in crime and I are having trouble getting schedules together. This has no firm timeline, so not a big deal.
Mice & Mystics- I'll be painting the miniatures of a friends set. The sculpts are pretty good, but there's two characters we kept confusing, so going to paint them. If I'm painting one, might as well do the whole set! This will be the set she's using for Mice & Mystics at Furfright, so you can see it in person.

Need help finding affordable textbooks? I'll find 'em!
Posted 12 years agoI’m a book dealer by trade so know all the good tricks for finding cheapest textbooks out there. I have to order scads of them every year.
If you need help finding cheap texts, leave a comment with the following info:
1. ISBN of the book
2. IF the book has extra material with it (software, workbook, CD) do you need it? Yes, no, don’t know. DO indicate whether it has extra material or not.
3. Can you use the previous edition? Yes, no, I don’t know For most introductory courses you can. Things with dated material (law, current events) you generally can’t. ask the prof for a clear answer!

will you do books outside US?
Yes but, they just take longer because I need to fiddle with the shipping. often the shipping on the book makes the major difference in price. if you need it shipped outside the US, put the country it will ship to at the TOP of the post so I don't miss it. (its also easier for me to do all the ones going to Canada at once than have to flip between multiple countries)
Can you find high school books?
Yes, any grade level is fine.
foreign language books?

Project updates
Posted 12 years ago* Bunny sculpt- in progress, probably going to have sculpt update done over weekend, then will get approval and move on to paint. Probably be done or almost done NEXT weekend
* Rokea deck- a few pieces I need to do, other than that, the majority is done. Need to update one thing with template, finish the credit sheet, and get it proof read. probably within next two weeks. People involved with proofing will see it before then
* SECRET PROJECT- alpha test is go. will be fiddling with that for unspecified period while in closed alpha. open beta for Furfright would be nice, but not holding my breath. I am NOT doing art for this project, I am technical partner.
*garden dragon- round two of attempting to get it to grow a proper ground cover as "skin". my creeping thyme failed to germinate. (I *THINK* maybe the soil temp was too low, due to unusual weather conditions) However, I have been growing weird and freaky mushrooms and slime mold in that garden without even trying, so I mixed the spore form of the slime mold into my mix this time. so I may have one giant plasmoidial slime mold dragon! I did try another round of creeping thyme seed. It's another two weeks of seeing if it germinates or not. ARGH. it's going to be awesome once one of these takes, but meantime, its hurry up and wait.

The giant reference document for project, so lots of nifty links to pictures of sharks gathered together so you can draw different species. what's the relevant things that make THIS shark different from that other shark:

I have never had a bout of deleting old art, so you can actually find stuff I did back in 200 still on the VCL gallery:
