Unexpected Stream Cancellation Today (10/30)

I'm sorry to cancel on such short notice, but I've ended up stuck in the ER again this afternoon because my hospital didn't have my second rabies vaccination when they were supposed to. The third and fourth vaccinations are supposed to be on Tuesdays at least, so they shouldn't interfere with my stream schedule further. I'll be back again on Monday (11/1) for the next scheduled stream from 1-4 pm EST!

Today's Stream Cancelled; Still Streaming Wednesday

Possible late stream start today (medical reasons)

Just wanted to give you a heads-up that today's scheduled 1-4 EST stream may have a late start. Over the weekend my dog ended up at the emergency vet and I ended up in the ER after being severely bitten by a feral cat while rescuing it from my dog. He's generally a great dog, but he has an extremely strong prey drive and will kill and eat unfamiliar cats if he gets ahold of them, so he's never out unsupervised. After checking our fenced backyard for cats and other small animals like I always do, I started doing yard work and clearing out some brush while he sniffed around and did dog things. Unfortunately, I failed to notice the cat hiding in the underside of one of the seats underneath our overturned canoes. Half an hour later, I turned and saw my dog poking his head way up under the canoe. The cat spooked and took off across the backyard towards our big oak with my dog inches behind, and I took off after them fueled by pure adrenaline and fear. The cat started to go up the tree, I was immediately horrified as I saw my dog start to climb *up the freaking tree* after the cat, and I tackled my dog to keep him from going up and over the 6' fence where I couldn't follow. Just as I did that, the cat slipped on wet bark and fell down on top of both of us. In the ensuing split-second melee, my left arm ended up in the crossfire and my dog's ear got jabbed by the pruning shears I didn't realize I was still holding.
The cat was uninjured and took off over the fence, my dog's only injuries were his ear (the vet checked it over and it was just a minor surface scrape, so he's getting precautionary antibiotics) and a limp from pulling a muscle when he took off running (so he's also getting a pain med and an anti-inflammatory), but the cat bite on my arm was deep enough to hit an artery and spray blood everywhere.
My dog has now lost his off-leash backyard privileges; if he wants to go in the backyard, I'll walk him around on a leash until he wants back inside.
The ER gave me antibiotics, but now I have to go in for a doctor's appointment at 11:00 this morning for tetanus and rabies prevention. No idea how long that will take, but I've had to wait up to two hours at the office during normal times so I'm posting this just to be safe.
See you whenever I'm back and can get my stream started! I'll be working on flat coloring

I got my van fixed and I'm finally home (if exhausted), so all I need to do now is set my computer back up and get the internet connection sorted! :D
I'll be able to start streaming again on Monday, October 5th, at around 1:00 PM Eastern Time (just need to get a desk and waiting on the ethernet cable to arrive) and will be working on Anatht's 3-part furry tentacle monster absorption/TF sequence. Keep an eye out for a journal post and submission to let you know when I start! I'll also post the Fluttershy TF with story sometime this weekend once I get my computer all set up.
Thank you for the patience (and sorry once again for the delays)! Just unbelievably glad to be back.

Looks like I'm stuck in Georgia for a couple of days due to handling issues with my van. The steering is loose and wobbly to the point that it's difficult to drive straight at interstate speeds, and I'm having increasing issues with tire slippage on wet/damp roads, which makes me suspect a front-end suspension problem. The fact that I'm carrying a heavy load only adds to my concern.
I'm hoping to get home by Wednesday and shift my stream re-start date from Wednesday (9/30) to Friday (10/2), but that could still change if the mechanic here uncovers any major issues. It may just be that I'll need to rent a car and either leave mine here to come back for later or have it towed. Once I have more updates, I'll let y'all know! My plans are otherwise the same as outlined in my last journal post and I can't wait to finally be home and working properly again.

Moving Back to Florida! & Schedule/Streaming Returning

The last couple of months (and especially the last week) have been absolutely horrible trying to figure out how to get back home before my Canadian visa expires, moving the contents of my entire apartment into storage one carload at a time (thank goodness Ikea furniture disassembles), and getting my apartment cleaned to the company's new pandemic sanitation standards... but I'm finally headed back to Florida! I'm driving very slowly and carefully down the East Coast so I can avoid direct contact with anyone/follow state-by-state quarantine rules, and should be back by September 27th.
Once I'm back home where there is actually a decent internet connection, I can start streaming again! :D Expect streaming to re-start by Wednesday, September 30th at the latest, and I'll be powering through the remaining commissions until they're all done. The plans after that are to finish a couple of my own pieces (the wyvern TF and a short Florida-themed TF series), post a YCH auction or two, and then open commission slots again. Keep an eye out for exact dates once I'm home and can sit down to sort out a work schedule.
Hope everyone is doing alright! ❤️ Things have been crazy and weird, but I'm finally thinking we can get through it. If any of y'all have any questions or concerns (especially anyone who's currently commissioning me) just send me a note! I'll be checking FA each night after I get to the hotel. Also expect the second commission on my list (the Fluttershy TF w/story) to be posted at some point in the next week.

Update (9/24): the check engine light is on, my car won't handle up or down grades properly, and I lost traction in slight rain, so re-routing farther out of the mountains and heading down the nice flat coastal plains on I-95 instead. Only lost a day and will be back home by 9/28.

This is just an update to let you know that I'll be opening 5 commission slots on Wednesday, April 15th, at 2:00 PM Atlantic Daylight Time. Commissions will be accepted via note on FurAffinity.

Happy holidays! & Updates

I hope your holiday month has been going well!
I thought I was going to be able to open commissions this month, but I have been running around so much visiting, holiday prepping, and helping family move that I haven't had time (and honestly, the last semester was so intense and life-draining that the recovery time was much needed... I thought I was going to be able to work on some ych's or personal projects but ended up just focusing what little energy I had left on not having a mental breakdown).
Anyways, this is just an fyi so you know that I haven't disappeared. I don't know yet if I will be able to open commissions during this final semester, but I might (emphasis on the maybe) be able to do a ych or two depending on how intensive my last classes turn out to be (and then I'll finally be done with grad school forever! Woohoo!).
Even if I don't manage to do ych's this semester, though, I'll be completely done with my degree in early April and will then have a solid couple of months to open for actual commissions before I move back to Florida in mid-to-late-June. I'll keep you all informed by journal on exact dates for when commissions will open closer to the end of the semester.

YCH & Project Info, + Commissions on Hold Until December
Posted 6 years agoWell, I let August get away from me, and now it's back to the grad school grind. Using the time to de-stress and enjoy visiting home and family was worth it for my mental health, though.
I'm currently not looking to open regular commissions during the semester due to the many readings/papers/projects involved in grad school... and this semester already looks like it's going to be a doozy. For that reason I won't open my next round of commissions until the semester ends in early December, to make sure that I can properly devote enough time and energy to your commissions without compromising my classwork.
However, all is not lost for the next few months! I plan to open a few YCH auctions over the course of the semester, as those are easier on my time schedule and let me work on something that I've wanted to draw for a while (which means I have more energy and creativity to draw them). I'm also working on some personal projects (including a comic!) that I'll be posting now and then. ;3 I'll still be streaming, just not on a set schedule until December. I'll post a journal and gallery submission whenever I stream.

I'm currently not looking to open regular commissions during the semester due to the many readings/papers/projects involved in grad school... and this semester already looks like it's going to be a doozy. For that reason I won't open my next round of commissions until the semester ends in early December, to make sure that I can properly devote enough time and energy to your commissions without compromising my classwork.
However, all is not lost for the next few months! I plan to open a few YCH auctions over the course of the semester, as those are easier on my time schedule and let me work on something that I've wanted to draw for a while (which means I have more energy and creativity to draw them). I'm also working on some personal projects (including a comic!) that I'll be posting now and then. ;3 I'll still be streaming, just not on a set schedule until December. I'll post a journal and gallery submission whenever I stream.

Updates on YCH, Commissions, Projects
Posted 6 years agoNow that I'm back from Bronycon and finally have my replacement laptop set up so I can draw, here are some updates on what I'm working on:
- Sketching a YCH TF auction (keep an eye out for it this week!)
- Preparing to open commissions (after the YCH auction - I'll post a journal as soon as I have a clear timeline set up)
- Designing characters for exciting new projects!
As always, if anyone has any questions, just send me a note! I'm having a bit of trouble setting up my stream software properly, but I'm hoping to get it going after the YCH auction.

Off to Bronycon!

Important Updates! (YCH, Commissions, Streams on Temp Hold)

I've finished this current round of commissions, so I won't be streaming while I work on planning and setting up one or two YCH auctions. I'll be posting the first YCH auction soon, so keep an eye out for it in my submissions and journals. Also keep an eye on my journals for more info on when I'll be streaming again.
Now for an update on the timeline for the next round of commissions:
I'll be visiting family in Florida for the month of August, but plan to open five commission slots while I am there. However, my old laptop suddenly died and I've had to order a new one on short notice. Since I couldn't get it delivered here on time and the selection in physical stores here is garbage, I've had to order one sent to Florida ahead of me - which means I won't know until I get there on the 6th whether the one I've ordered is in good working order.
*If* all goes well I hope to open for commissions on Saturday, August 10th (I'll figure out the exact time closer to opening), but it might be later than that if I need to return the laptop and order a new one. I'll keep all of you updated via journal as soon as I know.
Looking forward to what ideas y'all might have in mind! :3

Just wanted to update you all with my new work and stream schedule now that I've got everything sorted out.
I'll be working on commissions primarily on Sundays-Thursdays each week, with set stream times on Sundays from 7:00-10:00 PM and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings from 2:00-5:00 PM and 7:00-9:30ish PM Atlantic Time.
I might also choose to stream at other days/times, but those won't be as consistent (I'll let you know through journals/posts whenever I'm streaming).

I'm pleased to announce that with the Winter term done and my internship wrapping up tomorrow, I'll be opening 5 commission slots this Sunday, May 5th, at 12:00 PM Atlantic Daylight Time. I'll post both a journal and an art submission shortly before they open as a reminder. :3
Slots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis and each commissioner may only take one slot this round of commissions. "One slot" in this instance can mean a single icon, a pair of icons, a single image, or a multi-part sequence of related images. Slots will be given in the order in which commission inquiries are received only until all 5 slots are filled. Please note that you must send a complete inquiry in order to claim a slot. Incomplete inquiries will not result in a slot being held. Steps to Commission Me*:
1. Check to see if commissions are currently open. I will not respond to price inquiries sent when commissions are closed.
2. Inquire via note on FurAffinity. Slots will be given first-come, first-served in the order in which complete inquiries are received (incomplete inquiries will not result in a held slot). If a slot is still available, I will respond with a price quote.
3. Agree on subject and price.
4. Invoice will be sent to you, which must be paid in accordance with my terms of service.
5. Verify sketch and make changes if necessary. ALL changes to character pose(s) and features must be made at this point! Any major changes due to error on my part will be corrected free of charge. Any major changes due to the commissioner changing their mind as to character, subject, or background may be subject to surcharge.
6. Verify outline and make minor changes if necessary. Any changes at this point must be due either to my mistake or extremely minor.
7. Verify flat colors and make changes if necessary. Only color may be changed at this point.
8. Final image will be sent to the commissioner in several resolutions and posted to my FurAffinity page. If the commission was over $200 and paid in two parts, the final image will only be sent and posted once the second half has been paid.
