Im finding more and more my voice seeks the punk and rebellion against the real world, whether that be explicit or by shaping away from the real.

Thinking I'm likely to win another Idan piece, barring complications. Thinking I'm likely to use Kul. Wondering which lasses would like to get pounded in the forest by him.

To spice up the 600 follower thing from everyone's raffle/giveaway I have an idea.
You still have the chance to get art, but it aint randomised.
If you put down below a small description of how your character approaches one of mine, you'll get a chance for me to pick you for a celebration piece.

You are describing how you come up to Asmod. Dancing at a nightclub. No more than a paragraph (4ish sentences)
Asmod's already met you, elsewhere. So come show me how you say hi the second+ time.

In the beginning, generations past, there was "You have my human decency, and my respect as a member of humanity. You can lose it, but I will only show that in private" and deviating from the norm made you an asshat.

Time passes.
Then there was "You have my human decency, my respect is only there until you lose it."

Next there was "You have my decency but you have to earn my respect."

Then there was "You have my decency"
Finally "You have to earn my decency" or in other words "I come first and you have to prove I dont" life and society is the cult of self.
Your word? No longer your bond but something you try to wiggle out of.
Treating someone not shit? But that could make your day slower or make you step to the side.

For the longest time I've worried about saying the quiet part out loud. But you must have noticed that I'm uploading less and longer between. It's because there are too many on the stack as "totally coming" that have been waiting for months. Almost a year with one piece. And it's not like some of these are strangers, many are "friends". Which is ironic as I'm in the best financial situation I've been in since I started getting art. But y'all ruining it for yourselves. I have no desire to get excessive amounts of art when bull is performed.

Let's ignore the supreme levels of nationalism the US throws at the world. And the implied belief that the world should follow all your decisions, even when they don't work for the country in question.

My tiredness with the US is more cultural.
Growing up (30 years ago now) we had a vibrant and distinct culture in Aussie land. So so many TV shows interspaced with repeats of international stuff. Mostly British.
That changed. Now it's 90% US stuff, or copies of US stuff, with maybe a drama.
ANYTHING that happens in the US can take over all media for weeks.
We often support Halloween now, the superbowl, and even the 4th and thanksgiving permeate our culture.
The casual but "harmless" (non aggressive) racism has soured to your country's very aggressive style.
Your corporations even tried to buy off our national sport that usually airs on free TV to put behind a paywall. And they won a percentage.
I'm not saying you're bad. I'm just saying the level of cultural suffocation is obscene.

We're playing civ, the US is going for all the victories and Australia is losing a cultural influence.

As the age progresses, and the rage quietens. As the depression exhausts itself for the time being, we look forwards to June (and another year older)
So many more demons (and nondemons soon) under my belt than I ever expected. Years ago I assumed it'd be one demon, then if that one became unlikeable, another demon.
But.... we have a collection. With more art to come from them all.

Though, does anyone else make statements and then mentally add adendums, but not say the adendum out loud because you worry others might think you're taking a swipe at them?

Not everything is for everyone.
Despite what people and corperations want you to believe, things can be made that are not for you.
This rant started nearly three quarters of a decade ago. They released a solid B of a heist movie. It was compared by people who don't watch heist movies as worse than the second sequel of another heist movie (it was not.)
But time and time again people keep complaining about movies and books and TV that if they paid attention, were not things they'd usually enjoy.
And they didn't.

I am not saying the things I enjoy are "The Godfather" of their fields.
But effers go into these things in bad faith.
People want so badly for everything to be nihilism and the same BORING trash.

And the world is allowed to have its things I don't enjoy. You'll never get me to enjoy "The Boys" or "Invincible" despite the stellar casts for both.
Gina Torres or Rob Lowe arent going to get me to watch emergency response drama tv shows. (Despite that I love both their actings)
BUT I'm not going to repeatedly tell you these things are trash just because its not my thing.

Metaphor time here.
Everything is always burning outside this metal box. I'm never burning. Just the world is.

But I am a water djinn in a metal box, a vent on the roof incase I ever turn to steam. And a square in the side where I stick my hand to give it to others. I slice a piece off, and it regrows because inside my box I have set up all the things I need to be stable. But there is a scar around my wrist from so many cuts.

Noone checks inside the box. It's Schroedinger djinn. Are they OK or not. Noone knows. Sometimes I paint an image on the outside but there is no checking inside. Just a request for more hand of water.

I do sometimes worry the hand won't grow back. Those outside the box have access to wells and rivers and oceans but I only have the magic of the box and the systems I've constructed to conserve water.

But everything outside the box is burning all the time.

I feel the urge to self sabotage

As an obvious non artist, I didn't think I'd have to say this. Buy I dont make my own art. Furthermore I can't art your requests. And I won't pay for art that isn't even tangentially related to my world. And 'give me ideas' is not an excuse for that.
