Personal projects
The Twilight Squad-comic project, still in planning phases
Ramen with tacomeat- a random updating strip with gag humor, cooking instructionals, and crappy art quality
The Furry Tarot- My magnum opus, or what will be, a deck of tarot cards featuring the likeness of various members of the furry fandom, if I contact you for a position, dont tell anyone, they're supposed to be a surprise for the most part.

A question for all my watchers
Posted 16 years agoI'm just wondering, what would you guys like to see more of from me?
I'm noticing more views on my food pictures than my drawings which is slightly disconcerting for me as a visual artist, but encouraging as a chef, I plan on combining my interests, but that can only carry me so far, my real question is... What do you people out there like!? nothing is a stupid answer, I may be able to draw some risque stuff given time, so really just ask so I know where your interests lie

Posted 16 years agoI often have strange thoughts... not shoot up the office strange thoughts but thought structures that dont make sense to others, its as if my brain decides to make connections in different ways... ok well it does, but the neurologist said not to worry about it...

a point? you mean you're asking for a point to this rant? well its plain and simple an explanation for the random crap that is sure to follow in my mini comic "Ramen w/ Taco-meat" and in all truth, I'm not sure if it'll be sufficient...

oh yea and friends of mine/ artists who I like should expect to recieve a pm on or around their birthday asking what kind of free art they'd like, I've decided to be less miserly about it and give when the occasion calls for it so... post your b-day in your journal or give me a holler If I know you and we are friends in the proper definition of the word.

But wait theres more! a food for thought question that I hope will spawn a few conversations, as a young adult, I find when politics are violently thrown at me... I really come to the point where I dont give a shit, its one thing to display your beliefs, its another thing to turn every conversation into a politically based rant... hmm... how to phrase that as a question... well a few come to mind now...
1.What are your thoughts on sharing your political stance? If its an open forum with logical debate I think its wonderful
2.What are your thoughts on politics? I'm apolitical myself
3.How in hell can I get someone on a political rant to stfu? really I mean if you agree with them, they go on, if you disagree they fight with you, and if you hold no opinion either way they still wont shut their damn noiseholes...
4.Is it wrong to be apolitical? I personally have the state of mind that if you dont complain about the results I dont care if you dont participate it elections, but if you gripe and moan you damn well better have voted
5.How the hell can a conversation about the average tip be twisted into a rant about medicare?!! someone please tell me that doesnt make sense and I'm not going of my goddamn nut

Posted 16 years agoRecently I actually read some of the instructions on using gimp and photoshop... and I 'discovered' the pen tool... it really has been a help and after an afternoon of fooling with it I fixed up an avie and I dare say it looks darn good, if anyone wants one of their own for any reason I'm offering ones of similar or greater quality for 2$ a pop

1.I have 4 weaknesses all of which have a different affect on me; Sunlight, mangoes, large crowds, and milk
2.I'm very strange, as in I like dark rooms, small spaces, needles, and spiders
3.I'm a christian, a furry, and a bi-male pref and I don't think any of those are contradictory
4.I always wear my raccoon earhat [just until I find a ferret one]
5.I like all kind of music with a few exceptions [though I hold a special place in my heart for 80's rock, and some of the 90's underground]
6.I may have multiple personality disorder... ok I do... but I live a normal enough life as it is so I dont plan to seek treatment
7.Very few things anger me, but if you so much as think the wrong thing about my sister I will put your head between your cheeks and make an ass sandwich
8.despite the last truth I am not a super violent person, I just feel very strongly about it and the last guy who made my sister cry walks with a limp now

Life is SWEET- oh yeah traditional art is back
Posted 16 years agoRecently, I've been unaccountably happy, no matter what shit blows my way, its not a fleeting happiness either, like the one that goes away when you finish your icecream, its genuine, warm, and wonderful... I know my place in the world, and I'm content with it, sure I can get upset, but now my worst days are ten times better than my best ones were six months ago. I wake up every morning and... well life just seems awesome, I can look in the mirror and be happy with what I see, I can wear what I want, I'm loosing weight at a rapid, but healthy rate... gee what else... Just got a new scanner/printer combo, traditional art is now viable, thought I am out of practice in it, expect a flood of old built up works that have yet to see the internet... oh gosh and there is more, I've apparently gotten stronger, I'm lifting and wielding my katana as easily as my bokken, I'm learning to sew, I got the box set of ouran highschool host club, a rather nice guarantied monthly income of $170. Really, though my mentality changed before my circumstances did, the really awesome things came along after I decided to be happy with where I was... hmm well either way life is awesome, the art is improving, and things couldn't be more perfect in my opinion
I dont know if anyone cares, but my advice is, take action against problems if you can, and dont worry with them if you cant, just so long as you dont whine to others for sympathy (not asking for help, dont confuse those) youre doing pretty well. Also... a major part is self esteem, my advice for that, is to wear a silly hat, doesnt matter which kind, I personally recommend an earhat, but thats just me.
As for prices, I'm sticking with my old standby method, I draw it and finish it, you pay what is fair, (above 2-4$ USD if its traditional, and above 1$ USD if fully digital) as for types of art work, inquire for specifics I'll let you know on base prices for varying things and tell you my limitations.

I managed to get into two pieces by the great :Lapseph: , I'm no longer suffering from chronic gingivitis, I'm getting further in making my comic, its just tedious work... and to top it all off, I'm moving to a larger house, getting Verizon Fios, and possibly a new tablet that a friend locally doesn't use it much, this could be a major boon to my art quality

Ok, update, my scanner as you know is dead, new one is needed, I'm now up to about 30$/130$ for the new one. I need to get one soon so I can actually do some traditional art this summer before I get the time limitations of school again. In short... please, if you're out there and you have a few spare bucks, Commission me!
EDIT: Oh yeah and I managed to get a temporary loan of my sister's paypal for transactions until I get the trouble with mine ironed out

Inspiration... she escapes me
Posted 16 years agorecently I've hit a rut, i cant seem to get anywhere drawing anything... it all just ends up looking like scribbles if anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated, the comic's second page has already gone through 3 drafts and none of them are even worth showing... I'm beginning to wonder if its too soon to write a serious comic, some one give me advice, should I try practicing with one page gag comics first or little slice of life comedy things? either way inspiration is what I lack... so give me a week or two and you'll start to see some work done

Tablet lives however, all those who commissioned traditional work, it will be done as so, requests that arent started will be in tablet though, the traditional works will be uploaded when a new scanner is obtained so... yeah, commission cheap tablet stuff, tell me what you want and what you'll pay (>1$ requirement) and I'll draw it, if its good enough you shell out, if not then I'll consider it practice, and keep the distribution rights to myself

Posted 16 years agoWell both slots are filled now... so better luck next week anyone who cares... oh and before I forget, I must tell everyone that I'm on a new ADD med and I may have the attention span to sit and write a cohesive story Knock-on-wood with any luck it will turn out to be a nice comic I just hope I don't have any trouble with shiny objects (I'm not being cute... I'm literally distracted by shiny objects when I'm not medicated...) so wish me luck...

Posted 16 years agoWell after a severe beating about the... well whatever a scanner's equivalent to a head is, I managed to stop that annoying little line from ruining my pictures.... now just have to stop myself from doing that...
oh and I'm now contemplating taking art requests or trades (trades get priority), i need to practice drawing another persons character for a while...its just that... well I think the commission page is down so I guess just send me a message
and please inform me if I make any stupid mistakes... I'm quite prone to those...

Posted 16 years agoI hate my scanner and it seems that the feeling is mutual it has taken to adding an annoying little line in the center of the picture... I need a new scanner, or a tablet well either way my first picture is up today, soon to be followed by something hopefully more presentable...
