Springtime 2022
General | Posted 3 years agoHello hello!
We are nearing the Midwest US spring season, so that means summer is around the corner! All the trees are happy and budding, the world is turning lovely and green.
On the needles currently are my
*** Zodiac tigers (awaiting some eyes, then I can finish seaming and get some kimonos made)
*** Temperature Blankets (knit in month-blocks)
*** The tentacles of a trio of Jellyfish
I’m holding two open commission spots for the year. My commission link at the top of the page has my TOS and details.
Please send interested queries to my FA notes or gmail email (displayed on business card in the Commission notes)
Beyond that, I’ve got daydreams of knitting a small doggo plush, possibly a cat or two, definitely a cuttlefish, and maybe something else.
Current goal is to finish the tigers & jellyfish, and get those backlogged knit projects up in my gallery.
Best wishes, stay safe everyone, and have a lovely spring (or whatever season you may have outside).

End of year journal again (2021)
General | Posted 4 years agoHello my darlings!
It’s been an pair of years, hasn’t it?
Well, productivity with fiber arts has been a little low this time, but we have some numbers at least.
Bunny plush for my dear partner
Otter plush for :Alieus:
Two plushes in the final stages before being delivered for holiday gifts. (Will update when revealed)
Did some sketches of rabbits, dinosaurs, and a few fursuits.
Planning out next year’s knitting already (that’s always how crafting goes, always envying and dreaming on other designs)
—A Temperature blanket
—Tiger Plush (Year of the Tiger!)
—Dog plush
—maybe kitty cat plush
—Another marine design by Hanai Singh
—probably a loaf, ideally a commission.
My plans next year hopefully include a trip to Japan, and if that happens, I’m probably missing MFF… but if trip one doesn’t happen, I may bring and showcase my 2022 haul at the MFF Art Show.
I still need to upload my creations from this year into my gallery, but it’s been a nice year of gaining more friends and strengthening bonds with old ones.
Please be well, safe, and warm—no matter where you live. Best cheers!

Mid year goal for 2021
General | Posted 4 years agoOkay. Achievement list.
—currently on day 160th of Duolingo for Spanish. ¡Muy felíz!
—working a normal 33-38 hours a week at my job, including counting, being nice to people, and walking all day in the office. No chairs.
—got a video game system for the first time ever, got a couple games, pretty far on Animal Crossing NH
—Made my first several road trips over an hour, as well as paid for car repair/maintenance
—knit another plush, this time for
—I didn’t catch Covid so far! (That goes for last year too, woot)
So, current goal list:
—put time back into knitting. I want, I need to make a new fiddle ear headband. Got some foam ears from DVC I want to use, fingers crossed. Plus I have one or two folks waiting on agreed plushes
—I want to do some exercise. Got a good weight from the doc this week, I’d love to stay that number. Current activity: bike riding daily as much as I can.
—master high heels. Kinda. I’d love to have a little more grace with practice, as long as it doesn’t trigger my foot arthritis.
—do another month of doodles. I finished the Birds, I did about half a month of reptiles, and some bunnies. Gotta keep at it, mostly for hobby work.
everyone stay safe and healthy, we can do this. I’ll see some of you at a couple cons this year (probably just iFC and MFF), others next year, and fondest hellos to my online-only friends. Cheers!

Goodbye 2020, hello 2021 (the annual journal)
General | Posted 5 years agoAnnual journal update!
2020 was dreadful for a lot of reasons.
It also helped me get really close to the batch of folks who cement my main friend circle these days, so as much as the year separated me from some, it brought me closer to others.
Haven’t actually quarantined at all this year, I am within the number of essential workers this year. So, I’m rather impressed with my accomplishments thus far:
The list of progress follows:
—Corn snake for
—Loaf sergal plush for
—Loaf sergal plush for
—Jacket accessory for
‘s plush
—Desk Raptor for
—a scarf or two
—a toad
—a really lame looking bunny plush (it had issues, heh)
—90% of a KAL shawl
—about 50% of a large size Sergal doll
—about 70% of a Sergal loaf
—one and a half months of daily animal sketches, so that’s something for Inktober
—going on 75 days of Spanish training
—I got a fursuit, woot! A partial piece so far, but I have a bodysuit in the works for later in 2021. Created by the amazing
I am wowed and enchanted every time I see her.
Current projects planned for 2021:
-Finish my bunny mittens
-possibly make some for a friend
-finish my kitty plush for :lynx3n
-continue my gift plush plan
-finish the two sergal plushes
-work on my two WIP blankets (someday)
-who knows what else!!
Thanks for stopping by, folks.
Please stay safe and healthy this year, and please, get your flu and Covid shots!!!

Fall 2020 Update.
General | Posted 5 years agoNew note update!
Happy summertime, everyone!
School has resumed (not really for me, but it's a way to measure the seasons, I find)
I'm still at my job these days, sadly still surviving as an 'essential worker', so I haven't had the option to quarantine. If I had, I probably would have knitted more XD
I've finished two plushes this summer, two sergal loaves, so that's exciting.
I've put my two auction sergal plushes on hold (the upright Eastern and loaf Southerner).
So, this fall instead, we've got a few set up for my knitting list.
Knit-Along Shawl (Lark Alvinia)
Plush for Beakie by Dec 1 (feathered raptor)
Loaf for BurnedOut by Dec 1 (to be decided)
--unclaimed slot for October (delivered by December, ideally)--
--unclaimed slot for December (delivered by February, ideally)--
Continuing blanket work for friend (due Dec 2021)
Mystery plush
Hansi Singh plush (unchosen thus far)
Who knows what else!

2019 to close, 2020 to go!
General | Posted 6 years agoAnother whirlwind year come and gone!
Attended several conventions this time, met plenty of new friends, rejoined plenty of old ones, and I accomplished a lot more knitting!!
The highlight of the year was getting the chance to attend MFF and showcase a collection of my knitted plushes. I actually knit all of them within the last year, so it was remarkable to see my skills and efforts all laid out lovely on a table in their Art Show.
-ZodiacMelon’s sergal doll
-Fiddle Agudner doll
-Julian Tares sergal loaf
-Nautillus plush
-Adult & baby Chameleon plushes
-2 more octopus plushes
I think next year I’m going to try and sell a few pieces I make, as well as take a couple commissions along the way. For folks inclined in the former, I’m aiming to take several pieces to BLFC in May to sell in their Art Show; and the latter, post-May is when I expect to have more time for new ideas.
Expected items to create for 2020! (At least my wishlist)
—Larger than life Snake plush (by Feb)
—Sergal Doll (by May)
—Sergal Loaf (by May)
—Dragon plush (by May)
—Sewn T-Associator plush (by May)
—Rabbit Plush (by July)
—T-Stalker Plush (by December)
—knitted blanket (by December)
And at least 2 more animals, maybe more!
Either way, here’s the new year to come and be amazing!

New Adult account & MFF 2019
General | Posted 6 years agoGreetings fellow furballs!
So this next year, I plan on being more open to taking plush commissions, but in order to do so, I wanted a cleaner, safer FA page for folks to visit and browse.
You can still see my adult artwork at my alt account:
fiddlestickxAD .
But this way, it is definitely going to make things better all around.
*~*~*
On another note, I will be bringing several of my knitted creations to MFF for their art show, to show and display my work to folks from around the world! I'll have a table space, ideally with some business cards for people to pick up and take with them.
Knitting like a banshee, fingers crossed I'll make my deadlines...
I've already got several plushes planned for the next year (three and counting...) but I'll be taking commissions as well!
I'll let you guys know when I open up for applications!

MFF 2018 meme thingy
General | Posted 7 years agoWhere are you staying?
Main con hotel with some friends
What day are you getting there?
Thursday!
How ar/ you traveling?
Carpool driving
How long are you going?
Going home Monday
What is the best way to find you?
Look out for ears. Tall ears.
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
I dunno, hollar? Tap shoulder? Offer carrots?
What do you look like?
Female, curly hair, probably got bunny ears on
How tall are you?
Shorter than most around me!
Can I talk to you?
Talking sounds lovely! Just not during the panels!
Can I touch you?
Try asking first, please!
Can I buy you drinks?
I’m a little picky, but who knows! I usually stick to diet sodas, unsweetened tea, and water.
Can I give you food?
Carrots are safe ;)
Just ask first, please.
Can I give you stuff?
Sure!
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Ask first, not usually a problem without warning
Are you nice?
I try :)
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
Depends on timing, numbers, and seats in vehicles. So maybe!
Can I take your picture?
Ask first, please!
Are there any panels you might be attending?
Besides the sergal panel, everything is up in the air! Gotta support my friend merps!
Will you be suiting?
Can’t remember. If I do, it’s a bird suit; if I’m not, I’ll have my ears and tail on most of the weekend.
Do you have an artist table?
Nope, but I’ll be supporting everyone who does!
Do you do art?
I knit things. And drew questionable doodles with ink pens.
Will you be performing?
Nah, I’m mostly genuine.
No, I won’t be performing.
What/where will you be eating?
No idea, first time at this convention.
Will you be going to parties?
I don’t know of any yet, who knows!
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
Have a good time, don’t drink alcohol, and meet good friends!

A year gone by...
General | Posted 7 years agoHello fellow furries!
So I last time I wrote around April, following a furry con!
Well, here I am, just a few weeks after/between cons again.
So since April...
Got in deeper with the sergals, was invited to the Vilous Team, working on the Translation team section with the weekly/biweekly comic pages. Rather fun, especially meeting and growing closer to several of the team members.
I got closer to people in the Yaeger group, and I really am happy I have stuck with them. They've been kind and it's been very helpful to have their discord/telegram rooms to look for social outlets that are not strictly Vilous-themed.
I gained a good number of friends! I tried another con (Indy Fur Con) and got to see another flavor of furry.
A few months went by, got to finally go to Fursquared, had a good time meeting people I've heard of... nice to have faces to match the stories!
I got my drivers licence in the summer! Happy accomplishment, one more step towards growing up. Next step, get a car of my own.
My job gave me more responsibility, I get to be a better bank employee. Proud of my accomplishments, eager to make more.
I knit more things!
2017:
--Anix Plush
--Fiddle Bunny Ears
--Gorszon Plush
--Aviante Otter Plush
2018:
--Priley Nevrean Plush
--Surprise upcoming Plush
So besides that, I've done some thinking and did a fair bit of balancing, self-analyzing, and general trimming of less needed things in my life. A few more furry cons planned this year, and deeper friendships is a goal.
Fingers crossed, make a wish, let's see where this year takes us...

Furry Con - MCFC 2017
General | Posted 8 years agoGoing to my first furry Con. Yay!!!
Guys, I'm excited.
Got my bunny ears, tail, outfit all packed--I got a really good feeling this is going to be an amazing weekend.
*~*~*~*
Post-con:
Guys, I had so much fun!
Went with my bestie
Anix, it was great. Got to see some really funny shows, met so many wonderful people, and gosh wow, all the outfits/suits/partials!!
MCFC had some awesome aspects:
The sponsor lounge had full meals and a snack food bar open the entire time (2am close time, maybe?)... alcohol taps too, though I'm no drinker, I left that part alone.
The schedule/floor plan was very organized and clear, easy to read, and labeled by activity, room, and date/time. So convenient!
There was plenty of places in the hotel to relax and converse, while still being in main areas to observe and admire other furries wandering about.
Being my first Con, I didn't purchase much, but I did get one sketch from Artist Alley (see gallery for MCFC Fiddlebun sketch). Still, the variety of offered art and crafts from both the Dealer's Den and Artist Alley were great.
The fursuits parade was quite fun to watch! Such a combination of cute, detailed, and really amazing! Plus this was my first con, so it was really fun and inspiring to watch fursuiters get so animated and expressive!
I didn't actually attend either Opening or Closing ceremony, so I can't comment one way or another there.
The shows I did see featured some really funny people, including Uncle Kage, Alkali, Pandez, Xander, and Fox Amore (gosh his musical talent was amazing at complementing the other performers).
I didn't see everything, but I am entirely grateful to my friend for getting me to the highlights of a furry Con.
Thanks so much to everyone I met, everyone who helped make MCFC a great con, and to MCFC as a whole for making my very first furry Con an amazing one.
