Touching base and the state of Future Content.
Posted a year agoHello everyone this is Fido artz, and you know it's kind of pretty much a long time since I've done this but I think I should touch base with most of you guys, As my priorities are in different places right now besides deviantART, Fur affinity, but also art in general. Especially with the events I went through IRL, with the loss of a family member, my aunt who passed away last month in July. My mom and I will miss her very much dearly. And also me and Mom are preparing for another annual vacation to see the rest of our family in both Oklahoma and Kansas for 2 weeks in September. Which is something I'm not fond of, you know because I get homesick very easily and I don't like to travel by plane. I'm just not much of a person who likes going out of town let alone out of state. but with these out of the way I think it's time I touch up on different statuses and the future of me and my art.
deviantART/furaffinity
These two sites I have often been clamoring about returning to these two sites to frequently post my artwork and content. However that's often been put on the back burner and realistically, it's a promise I can't really keep with focusing on other stuff and circumstances that are not out of my control. With the only exception of faving and occasionally commenting on some of your guys's and other artists' creations. Things will still be slow as usual. With the possibility of posting unreleased artwork that has never been published on the sites.
Program shopping.
Currently my go to art program is fire alpaca. And it has been the longest art program I have been using to this day. But I also have been shopping around the internet for programs pertaining to art, animation, game making, and video editing. And those programs have to either be freeware, open source, or at the very least affordable one time buy with no subscriptions. And I do come across a couple candidates that have potential. such as Pivot animator, stick nodes, cartoon animator and Moho for animation. Blender and mangaka for 3d work, so far Shotcut for video editing, and lastly godot and scratch (or pengunmod) for programming and game making. To see if I can establish a common ground between those programs and if they have features that can streamline my creative process of projects. It's also been studies and experimentation. No new content. With the exceptions of art trades and requests with friends.
YouTube
Speaking of animation and videos, YouTube has been one of the things I have been wanting to do for a long time unfortunately as mentioned in a older semi animated vlog video it's not been a huge focus. Due to other circumstances and endeavors. But I also have another channel more dedicated to more sports gaming entertainment-based content that doesn't fit with my art and animation channel. It's called FASN As of right now it only consists of cpu vs cpu matches of tape to tape. I do dip into video editing for a few videos on the channel, mostly my playoff videos, I'm still currently working on the championship game. Like my fidoartz channel there are other projects I want to do with FASN. We will just wait and see how that goes.
The future
So, what does that leave me and you guys? Well, starters, my production steps for creating things being slow and I'm going to be turning 30 next month on the 29th. I'm hoping to get another college class soon. So, I can a step closer to getting my studio arts degree. Even though for the most part I'm not thinking about pursuing a full-time job in the industry anytime soon, let alone pitch my projects. With how divided the world is via social media. Which is why I don't use social media as much. With the exception of just following my favorite projects, creators and liking things. And also remain an independent artist for the foreseeable future regardless of where those circumstances go. That's an interesting thing about the future. You can plan for it but you never know where down the road it's going to lead.
For the long story short, I'm still around just not doing as much content as I wanted and I have so many ideas and so little time. I would like to thank you guys for your support and sticking around. This is Fido, have a blessed good day and stay artzy.

28th Birthday journal and check in update 2022
Posted 3 years agoHey everyone this is Fido artz and it's kind of been a long while since I've done a journal, at least to my knowledge in recent memory. And the reason I kind of stopped doing them often is because I'm not sure a lot of people read them or comment on them often. But I figured it's something I should get back to doing sometimes.
Anyways today is my birthday and I'm going to be turning 28, sometimes I often forget how old I am on my birthdays because sometimes they do go by so fast. The difference being celebrating my birthday during this week as a Birth week with cake and presents on Tuesday and barbecue on a Wednesday which both turned out very great. And the reason for celebrating this on a week rather than on a day is because me and mom will be flying out to Oklahoma and Kansas to see our family for a couple of days while my stepdad watches our house and our dogs.
I'm still debating on whether or not I should take my laptop along with my steam deck I got as a carry on. If I choose not to bring it I will most likely be away from drawing on my laptop and also have no access to some sites like FA, with the exception of my cell phone to keep in touch with networked things or apps like DeviantArt, YouTube, and even with my friends on Discord. Besides those I would probably consider it a vacation leave of sorts. But I will be making up my mind before i leave and let you guys know.
Anyways, Besides all that I think I notice lately when i wanting to create art, animations, written work, maybe even videos i get caught up on the idea of too much focus on practicing and perfecting my art, setting my expectations too high, and having too many ideas I keep in mind or put off on the backburner. It makes it easy for me to forget how it is to just have fun drawing and creating things thus leading to procrastination to where not a lot of things get done at all. I just can't let that happen.
If there is one thing i missed back then in my 2010s day early to mid was just having fun creating things like it felt like a hobby and leisure and being active on the internet with my friends and that's something i wanted back after getting done with some of my college classes. Where sometimes i just need to take a step back and realize when some things are not such a big deal and not let the idea of chasing success or perfectionism take me for granted let alone me take success for granted. because they are both somewhat a stressful and dangerous mindset to have being an artist or creator. even when i am busy doing other things IRL and online. sometimes i wonder if other artists and creators had go thought these mindsets as well, it just something i noticed in social media.
With that tangent out of the way, despite with how chaotic and confusing the world gets, I'm still glad that some of you guys are still around, stopping by to check out my work even if I don't put out a lot of it for the obvious reasons and glad that most of you enjoyed it and I hope all of you are been doing okay and you continue to push through what goes on in life. I look forward to the Autumn season for sure. Hopefully it will lift my motivation and spirits a bit and just see what good this year brings. Nice to check in with you guys as I go on 28 and have a blessed good day and stay artzy. ^_^

checking in 2020
Posted 5 years agoHi everyone, Fido here. I figure I should touch base with all of you guys since I haven't really written many journals or posted any artwork recently.
Frankly and recently, I am not very good at being transparent or consistent on the internet with sites such as Deviantart and Furaffinty as often, other than social messaging like discord, which I use to communicate with some of you guys who have Discord. It's just too much of a small window for me to hang out on both of those websites these days it's just a gamble on the clock, it's my time is mostly focused on house chores, errands and groceries, chats, and simply just end with browsing and researching for programs and tools for both my art, videogames, and animations.
Now with the pandemic still going on and people are staying at home, I think one of the huge misconceptions is creators would have more free time to work on their content, art, animation, writing, and other projects that they had put on the back burner. To some, that's true, but to many creators that is actually not that simple, and not a lot of them have that type of luxury to do so. Especially, those that work essential jobs or have online classes, or just work from home.
I can say 2020 been crazy might as well be the year everyone wants to forget, Outbreaks affecting states and countries, riots besmirching a peaceful protest, media manipulating narratives, raging fires turning the sky smokey, social media drama and paranoia. I can say this year has weighed down on everyone pretty much to the point where people are already looking forward to the new year that might be better. Like for example, I'm not taking a fall class this year but I most likely will take a spring class next year, maybe astronomy. Now I wouldn't say all 2020 is bad, a lot of people have often been trying to do creative and positive ways to get through the pandemic. From virtual conventions such as fandome and new movies being available on-demand when cinemas are closed, this also has the world get a booming interest in more animated shows and movies.
Needless to say, I have been doing okay just been busy with things outside DA and FA. And I'm going to be 26 in 5 days, who would have thought that I get older and yet I still remain young in this year. I will try to will myself to make stuff once in a while here and there and I have full of ideas in so little time but very little time to focus on them. I miss a lot of you guys on here and I enjoy what you guys make, continue a keep a strong faith and take care of yourselves because we are all in this together and we're going to get through this crazy year and hope by the grace of God, this next year coming up will be a better year for all of us, look forward to hearing you guys soon have a blessed good day, stay artzy.

march 2020 journal
Posted 5 years agoGreetings, everyone. This is Fido Artz, and this will be a short update Journal. For the last five days of this month, I am currently recovering from a sickness that started on March 3rd that turned me into a Fido flambe. And for the record, what my thought was what I had was nothing more than a mere fever I could recover from no problem. But then it turned out to be a fever that was so high and critical, that my mom rushed me to the hospital at night so I can get some check-ups to see what was going on with me.
The overall test turns out, I do not have a mere fever and luckily not a virus but as I found out I have the flu but because I already have the flu I do not need a flu shot because my body will build up antibody immunity against the flu strain I had and the doctors are giving medication pills and aspirin to take for a couple of days and Alternate between them at different times.
I am not exactly 100% yet, but I am recovering, resting, eating meals, drinking plenty of fluids, and taking my medication on the clock. If I continue to do this for a couple of days, I will be getting there to recovering and shortening the sickness of the flu in my body.
Because of this, I decided to quarantine my online presence here, so I fully get recovered and getting back to my routines. I miss you guys, and I hope you stay well and keep your hands washed too. Until we meet again, wish me well. This is Fido Artz, have a blessed good day, and stay artsy.

2020 update
Posted 5 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz and happy New years, or should I say happy new decades. So ends the 2010 decades and the start of 2020, A new decade that can have its ups and downs like any other. A decade that we all have to make the most of.
I can say for myself that the decades of 2010 through 2019 decade has been very eventful, full of ups and downs and goods and bads. 2019 not to say it was all bad with the earthquakes that hit my town, my mom pulling her arm, and personal family situation I don't want to bring up here. Because it has its goods from going to my school friends chill Halloween party, hanging out with them and seeing movies with them or my niece and nephew at the cinema, and going to six flags twice in a year (I'm still going the third time in a few days). Just great memories to treasure moving on to the next set of decades. An Era of a decade of new promises but also unforeseen circumstances.
One of the cases 2020 is going to be a little tight over for California, with new questionable laws being passed by the Cali government that may go into effect, especially one that limits our water to 50 gallons per person per day. We are just going to have to manage with what we have until then.
2019 art-wise, I just felt like the years and days flew by way too fast for me to get anything done, be it a drawing, animation, or even literature. With my focus being on collabs and exclusive artwork for my friends that I have been in great contact with over the years and also some in real life priorities, rather they're in town or out of town or circumstances that are not of my control.
But now, when I look at this decade art-wise, I certainly created a lot of content, and they both do get their fair share feedback and favs, and I do and try to improve my art year after year. The same could be said for animating or writing, this is kind of a thing with many creators we all strive to build upon and improve the foundation that we work on in any medium even if it means taking a year off from producing a lot of content over the last decade.
So even if you felt like your drive of creative content hit rock bottom or felt like you created less during this year, you got to look back on the decade you started from and how far you came to getting here with creating a lot over the previous decade, even if it was less or not the best of years. And look at this new decade as a starting point for what you might create right now because your journey as a creator is only the beginning.
So what next for me you might ask? Or where does my consistency in creating content altogether? Well, the truth is it didn't exist in a way it once does, and as a decade going forward, I don't think it never will. That landscape continues to change, and at that year, the previous year, procrastination and motivation wasn't the issue, it's the time going way too fast. So hopefully, this decade doesn't move very fast, and there'd be enough time in the world to draw, write, and animate. Maybe go for a batch upload (like my great friend SithVampireMaster27) does and work on projects a particular day or week. We'll just see how that goes on 2020 and the new decade going forward.
So I hope you guys have a great New year and a great new decade. Here's to 2020, a new year, a new beginning, a new journey, and a new decade we all must make the best and supporting each other, learning from mistakes of the past, and being a better person. I look forward to hearing from all of you guys. Until next time, this is Fido Artz have a blessed good day and stay artzy.

Spring update 2019
Posted 6 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz and spring has finally come and so is this update journal to end March.
How's your guys spring break going? I'm sure most of you guys are having fun. Funny thing is my spring break was a week ago, and I can say it's probably one I'm not entirely fond of.
One of the bottom highlights was on the weekend March 16th, mom and I were visiting my 2nd grandmother and one of my mom's friends at Stateline Primm valley and stay at a hotel and such. Then pretty much spring break begins. Decent, then got home early on Sunday reason being, Primm valley has been lacking pretty much. Still, I was able to come out 12 dollars ahead, and Mom and her friend have been unlucky those machines seem to be taking than giving out, well with the specific exception of the Zuma 3d slot, Elvira machine, and dragon's law. We still had a good visit.
Now fast forward to Friday, the event I never expect happened, my mom had pull her arm during work and then she went to hospital to get it to check put a sling on it, she is doing okay, occasionally wearing the sling but she is doing alright, however she will be off work on disability. She can't use her pulled arm often when it comes to lifting. Wish her well that her arm recovers and any necessary, possible surgery that is needed to be done on her said arm.
Now the spring break ending weekend was really interesting If you want to know about that particular situation, my internet was down, and there was a regional outage in the kern areas for half of the mobile services, except frontier and Verizon. So pretty much everyone was without internet, and mobile services completely cut off. And the only place you can get Wi-Fi it's either at Starbucks or a restaurant. Luckily this wasn't long term as the outage only lasted Saturday and half of a Sunday.
Of course, these are all not negatives, went to watch Captain marvel with some friends and enjoyed it, head over to classic burger to checkout a benefit car show that my buddies were involved in and see some cool cars there too.
Some are just pretty much its ups and downs, but I'm doing fine and doing the best I can out of any situation. Chores, cleaning, helping out, going on hikes, and most of cramming my college homework and studying. So there is that. Pretty much being productive irl. Art will always find a way in my schedule.
Thank you guys for reading this update I look forward to your response on the topics, and I will get back to you all soon as possible, until next update, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed good day and stay artzy.

Late feb 2019 update
Posted 6 years agoGreetings everyone, This is Fido Artz and how's your February been? With this month nearly over its time, I talked about some things in a late February update.
So life has been going decent, it's just that this math class, which is statistics is without a doubt the most robust class I've ever had compared to my previous math class. Of course I still have my favorite teacher for last year teaching us this class as well, it's just that the homework assignments are challenging and the techniques are pretty complex. Thus there are certain times I get behind on my homework, not because of procrastination, or chores. It's also some of the questions are so complex, that I need to calculate and then jump to another hoop such as rounding to get the correct answers. So it is a challenging class.
Luckily, I'm glad my teachers extend the deadlines on each assignment that we miss it or we're still working on.
So as you can see my consistent commitment to artwork, animation, writing, let alone start making videos on YouTube, are all not quite there. Those are just going to be small focuses for the time being. Thank you guys for understanding and giving me advice. Regardless of how this class goes, I will succeed by any means of help or resources necessary.
And thank you all for reading, I look forward to your thoughts and feedback on this entry, and I reply to you as soon as possible. Until next update, this is Fido Artz have a blessed good day and stay artzy.
2019 update journal
Posted 6 years agoGreetings everyone, how's your 2019 so far? Hopefully decent, I can say it's the same for mine. Despite the world still goes crazy and the days are just flying by in the month. It's time for the first 2019 update from yours truly, Fido Artz.
I have been doing well, beating both a cold and a cold sore in the mouth I had a few days ago. The family was having its ups and downs, packed away my decorations, and just continues to do some chores around the house, rather mom and stepfather are around, or I just have the house for the day. They are pretty much important regardless.
Also, another important endeavor coming up is I will be going back to college tomorrow on Monday, January 14th, I will be getting another math class out of the way for this spring semester, this class will be on Monday and Wednesday, from 8:00 am to 10:05 am. And this class will run from January to May. This math class is math 53 statistics it will have the same teacher I had from last year. So, I think I will do well in this class but I will have to get up early, so night activities such as chats and RP will be slow. Wish me luck on this spring course, guys.
Art is still on, and I have things I really, really want to do this year, one of the first things I do is might as well update my logo and also have 2 pieces of literature planned both centered around Mephanlina. I hope you guys enjoy them when they are written and released.
I hope you guys are doing okay and you enjoyed the first update of 2017, I look forward to your feedback on this update and I will get back to you as soon as possible, until next update always, this is FidoArtz, have a blessed good day and stay artzy.

look back on December and 2018 review
Posted 6 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz, and here's a look back in December and 2018 officially coming to an end.
Christmas was good, visiting family members, Christmas decoration and light shows in our neighborhood, and cool gifts. And hang out with you guys on discord. I think this month went decently despite the incident of three days ago.
Three days ago, upon picking up the recent thing I buy my current item on 4sale Ridgecrest from one of my mom's friend. I got attacked and bitten by a small dog in the street. Feri carried me back into the car for safety, these bites were behind my right knee, and lower part of my rear and I could have sworn that there wouldn't be serious bites. But these bites really drew a little bit of blood and pain but not too skin-deep, that I still got to the urgent Care get those bites cleansed and given a tetanus shot. As of now I'm doing okay and given some antibiotics for my bite marks
2018 kind of felt like a middle ground of a year for me with its ups and downs and its goods and bads.
The good side, got to hang out with my friends from school and go watch movies, went to the Hollywood Bowl to see at the orchestra remastered empire strikes back and went to six flags magic mountain to hang out, also passing my algebra class with an A, and finding some time to do some artwork and collab with my friends on some cool projects.
The bads, of course, would be, besides getting bitten by a dog, is losing 2 talented creators Stan Lee and Stephen Hillenburg which will be a late tribute piece on them, 2 inspirations of both cartoons and superheroes, celebrity deaths tripling more then 2017, the drama going on with some of my friends, most of my Tumblr friends leaving Tumblr, due to the site policy changes, the United States nearly at the end of political turmoil, and losing toys r us, I know it might come back but it still a store I'd like to go to in person.
2018 has undoubtedly been a year with rough patches, but it hasn't stopped me from succeeding in my classes, creating things, and hanging out with you guys. And to me, that kind of makes it a better year for me.
Here's hoping 2019 can be a better year, remember where you begin to start a new. Because the past does not define who you are for the rest of your life, rather they are good or bad memories, a year that's better or worse, a time of happiness or grief, they are all milestones in life that make you who you are and give you the starting point of who you want to be and where you want to be. A new year is around the corner, make the best of it.
Happy New year's everyone until 2019 new update, as always, This is Fido Artz have a blessed good day and stay artzy

December 2018 update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone this is Fido Artz and how's your day going, it's time for this month's update.
So I am pretty much done with this semester of college, I have completed all my homework and my final, and I'm still awaiting the final grade. I say my algebra class was a decent experience; I had a very enjoyable instructor who is certainly friendly and full of tricks when it comes to making algebra likable. And I pretty much have the winter break for the remainder of this year.
Math in general still my least favorite subject but I'm great to have her as my instructor, and we enjoy talking to each other after class, and I also gave her a present at the end of the final, but she was thrilled to receive. I will still have her again as my instructor for the spring semester on my next math class, and I think I will do well in that.
LifeWise, everything's been going decent, and since November, the house is already decked out early for the holidays. But we're still tithing it for company coming over this month. And it's also been crazy too because we have to juggle between buying gifts and paying the bills and mortgage, those are pretty much rough spots financially but doable and adaptable.
Art-wise I'm getting back to it. Just need to do another warm-up art piece before I can get to tribute art for Stan Lee and even Stephen Hillenburg, which will be one piece on both of them. And other art when I get to do this year before it comes to an end. But I will be setting my expectations on low and not make too many promises yet. Because I usually end up putting them on the back burner, never get up off the ground, or just gets worked on over time and takes days, months, or even a year to complete. So I'll leave it at that.
Also I bought a new battery last month for my laptop, I have not mentioned before, my laptop has been on its life support of an AC adaptor ever since my old battery got removed, because one of my cells is dead, when my old battery reaches a certain low percentage that's not 20% , it shuts down without warning. Indeed, Hopefully, this battery will resolve this issue for a while in the long run. hopefully for a while. this is a high-performance battery after all. so I should be able to use my laptop without worrying about a sudden shutdown.
And that's it for this update, I I look forward to your feedback on this and other topics being discussed and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for reading and I hope you all have a great Happy holiday and Merry Christmas, until next update, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed holiday and stay artzy.

Late octoonber\mid-november 2018 catch up update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone this is Fido Artz and welcome to the late Octoonber update, and a mid-November catch up update, or just simply a catch-up update.
I know I haven't done an October update because a lot of things have been going on in real life, Of course, I'm still doing good in college, and I do plan to take a spring semester class this year. One of the essential big things that happened is my new grandmother and grandfather of my stepfather and my mom's husband, have decided to move out of Vegas and into my hometown in Ridgecrest. They bought this house, and they're still taking a while to adjust, their new home has two garages, six rooms, two bathrooms, a big backyard, and a swimming pool and jacuzzi. They were truly blessed to get that house, and I hope they enjoy it.
And there's a confession I have to make about October; I'm not a big fan of Halloween. Not only because I feel like I'm grown out of things like trick-or-treating or dressing up, but it's the over the top horror and scare factor ruins it for me. Sorry guys, It's just not my thing.
November, we are pretty much decking the halls early for next month's holiday. Tree and lights are up, stockings up, and the front yard is decorating. It's never too early to feel festive. My stepfather and I sure do.
So things have been going pretty slow lately for my art and other projects, but there was a slight chance I might pick it up again. I have a lot of ideas on my mind but never found time to pull them off, especially to Stan Lee tribute. I also think about reactivating my Tumblr again, simply because I haven't used it for quite a while. For reasons of not having not so active audience, not really much to do with the tumblr, and simply just have too much stuff on my plate to focus on it. I may go back to posting things on there again just not often as I used to.
And so far that's pretty much it, I look forward to hearing from you and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Until next update as always, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed good day and stay artzy.

Post birthday journal 2018
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz and welcome to a post-birthday Journal. Yesterday I became 24, another year older, yet still remaining younger. And that's something I would always want to keep.
And I did have a great time on my birthday, mostly celebrated with my mother and my stepfather and that consist of Had birthday breakfast, open presents and cards, respond to birthday wishes both on my social media and here on this site from you guys, won $53 on a lotto scratcher, had dinner at the China Lake Buffet, and then finish it off with fudge brownie cake. I had a great time, and its certainly was a unique day that comes once a year and brings a smile to my face and how I look forward to the future.
I appreciate and thank you guys kindly for the birthday wishes, they mean a lot to me, and I enjoy to gifts that you guys create too. But of course, I understand that most of you guys would be busy with work or school, away from deviantART or FurAffinity and you might be late to wish me a happy birthday, don't feel discouraged if you're late. I will still appreciate the belated birthday wishes or gifts that you guys worked on.
Also one of the birthday gifts I got is a new microphone, called the Blue ice snowball, it's heavy duty but small, lite, and not really too bulky as the Blue Yeti mic I had in the past and snowball comes with its tripod, so it's easy to set up, I might try it out on a future video and see how it works and sounds When I use it to record.
Anyways, college is going well, I'm doing good in my pre-algebra, and sometimes the math problems and equations can rack my head, but I am keeping a straightforward, decent grade.
And that's pretty much my post birthday update journal, I again appreciate you all for your birthday wishes even belated ones, here's to being 24, and what awaits me and you guys down the road for the remainder of this year, I look forward to your feedback on this and other topics and I will get back to you as soon as possible, until next update, always this is Fido Artz, have a blessed good day and stay artzy. ^^

August 2018 update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz and Summer is nearly over, and school and college is back in session, and so is an August update.
I had a good summer, hanging out with friends at concerts and movies and seeing family out of state, and have fun chatting and hanging out with you guys. Those Will be memories I will keep in mind. Besides, those pesky ants invading the kitchen a few weeks back.
Lifewise, I am pretty much all prepped and ready for my fall semester in college. But this time it will be different, that's right, I will be going back to the college campuses, and my class will be a hybrid between an online course and a classroom lecture class, its everybody's favorite subject: math. Specifically: pre-algebra. Math is infamously one of my least favorite subjects. Basics I am good at, but when it comes to the advanced math equations, not so much. I still hope to get a decent passing grade by doing my best and make good use of my resources on this class.
I have this pre-algebra class on Tuesday and Thursday and goes from 2 pm To 4 pm. And tomorrow's my first day, wish me luck, guys.
So the question is probably still in the air, what does that mean for my artwork and my special projects? As will they be on hold? Well not entirely, If I'm hoping to work on my art pieces and projects some more. I will most likely have to find time for them out of my college and chores and maybe stick to a schedule that would work. And I'm sure to any artist and creator it can be tough to keep a consistent schedule when certain circumstances are beyond your control. But it's best to work around it and find a plan that might work out well in the long run.
And that's pretty much it for this August update, I hope you guys had a great summer, and I wish you all best of luck on your school and college work. I look forward to your response on any topic, and I will get back to you whenever possible, until next update journal, as always, this is Fido Artz have a blast good day and stay artzy. ^^

Summer vacation trip 2018 aftermath
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone this is Fido Artz, and welcome to an aftermath update on my vacation. That goes from Oklahoma to Kansas and back to Vegas. But I'd like to start this from the top and not get ahead of myself.
For starters, after 4th of July, on July 5th, my Mom and I pack our things, and one of our friends soon to be husband took us to Vegas where will be staying at his parent's house for the night until we fly out on July 6th. There isn't an internet connection, so I was unable to connect my laptop there, but I had to use my phone's Wi-Fi to use the internet, which has a very low data allowance I might have to renew my phone next soon to boost my data allowance and 4g internet access. But regardless, my friend's parents let us make yourself home and enjoy our stay.
Then on July 6th, we woke up get our things and then my friend drove us to the airport, from there we boarded a flight to Tulsa with Southwest. We didn't fly with Allegiant, not only after that Fiasco the last vacation but because of the numerous reports of delays, cancellation, and planes in a state of disrepair, so Southwest was a perfect choice.
After we landed, my grandmother and uncle picked us up and took us to my new and improved grandmothers house; we started out the first half of our vacation visiting my grandmother and my uncle. Which is a pretty decent visit, we shopped for stuff at thrift stores, because mom has been doing Poshmark and selling things online such as things she no longer needs or items that could be sold able. We tried my uncle's meditation class, which I was not entirely fond of. Painted animals on rocks, what you guys might have seen my post a picture of my Skunk Rock I painted. And we also played a few games at the Choctaw Indian casino and Resort, and I'm not really a big gambler, so when I win decent amount money, I keep it because I'm not a high roller.
Now there was a little dysfunction between my mom and my grandmother. One of the examples that are when my mom tried to get my grandmother to watch The Shack movie. With little success and soon turn into a bit of argument of beliefs and views. So yeah that didn't kind of workout. Regardless of this, we got along fine. We hang out with my uncle but we didn't spend time at his house, but we did get to see his wife and a few others.
Then we pack up and then met with my sister, my nephews and nieces, and her fiance at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks and got to see some fantastic sea creatures, fishes, and even sharks. We were initially going to be going to the Oklahoma Zoo, but it was way too hot to do such thing I think the aquarium was pretty cool. And from there we went with my sister to spend the second half of our vacation week in Independence Kansas. Which is a pretty neat little town with amusements and attractions such as a park, a water park, a horse carousel, Zoo, ice skating rink, Semi-Pro stadium, a mini train and mini golf course. Almost like a local amusement park pretty much open to the public every day and where my sister lives are walking distance.
We did do 3 of those activities. We visit the zoo, to see most of the animals some of them were either staying in the shade to beat the heat or just sleeping in. Mostly there is bears, eagles, foxes, wallaby, monkeys, snakes, lions, tigers, ostriches, and such. The thing is most of these animals are rescued, and the zoo is very famous for being the home of the first monkey in space, Miss Able. Then we played mini golf at the putt-putt course with my nieces. Indeed was a fun, relaxing, and challenging game we had. Pretty much had a great time. And we also got the right on the mini train that surrounds half of the park.
Besides those, we just end up hanging out at my sis house for the vacation. Which is pretty much the same as the previous houses during the last vacations we had in Kansas, there was minor dysfunction in the family, but we made the best of it to have a good time and given a tour through the town and what it has to offer. Certainly was a fun place to visit. Then after all that the week of visiting my family is over, full circle. My sister took us to the airport early morning and then successfully board our flight, no delays, no cancellations, and no being put up in a hotel like last time.
Once we landed back at Vegas, we stayed over at my friend's parents house for only Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday was the wedding for my mom and our friend that was now her husband, say their vows, became husband and wife, then spend time at the hotel and casino while I just spend time at the house while my friend's parents are gone doing stuff around town and just make myself home. Then the next day, Mom and her husband came back to his parent's house, we all had pieces of the wedding cake, say goodbye to his parents and then drove home to Ridgecrest. Which I have been here for a while now.
And that's pretty much our vacation, to me it felt awkward to take this vacation in the summer because it kind of felt like a vacation from a vacation. Mostly from college which will be starting soon. It certainly had its ups and downs, and I'm only accomplished one art piece which is for National skunk day and also painted a skunk rock. And I only took two pictures with my Fido and Mephie plushie but took lots of vacation photos. Also had a few numbers of interactions with my family members and pretty much that. Overall, it was a decent vacation, but I will be slowly getting back to creating art and such. I like to thank my friends Jasonbrambletail, AlterEgoAndie, cecilartman, and even skunque for getting me through my trip regardless of time hour differences keeping us apart. I still appreciate it.
I look forward to your response on any topic, and I will get back to you whenever possible, let's make the rest of the summer count. Until next update journal, this is Fido Artz have a blessed good day and stay artzy
I still appreciate it.

june 2018 summer update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz. And it's been June, the first month of Summer. Things are warming up, and I am out of college all summer and will be returning to college in the fall. But I am getting ahead of myself here.
So with me out of college this summer, this should open up a considerable gap to getting back to drawing artwork, making videos, and chatting with friends, more often. Things I had put off when I was focusing on College, things I love to do and want to do. And hopefully do them without any interference, except for daily chores, errands, shopping, walks and working out. Because most of those are daily necessities, I do each day.
Of course, I'm going to be entering back to my work very slow and start with small steps and not set my expectations too high on more significant projects. Because it's summer, I still have to combat things such as fatigue, the Heat, and mostly procrastination to get myself to do things art or otherwise.
Also on July 5th next month. I will be going to Vegas, with Feri and her soon to be fiance is going to say their vows at his parent's house, and then mom and I will be getting on a plane to visit my grandmother and uncle at Oklahoma and my sister and nephews and nieces at Kansas for a couple of days. If you remember, we tried going in the spring of this year. But mom sustained cellulitis made her face and nose swell and we decide to cancel and move the vacation up in July. At the moment we're trying to get things squared away with all of our dogs, including Hope, as we try to get one of our close friends or a kennel to watch her until one of our buddies Picks her up from there and takes her to our home while we're gone. He, of course, will be the fiance that will be watching our house till we get back. Of course, I will take my laptop with me and have my phone to keep track of you guys for a couple of days and probably post up some finished artwork while I'm on vacation. Hopefully, we will have a good time, unlike last time.
And that's pretty much it for this first summer update, I hope you guys are staying out of the Heat and keeping cool, and I look forward to your feedback on this and other topics, until next update, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed good summer and stay artzy ^^

English class final grade and post-may update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz. And I haven't done an announcement or update in a mid-month or end month that I've already done, usually at the beginning of the month. But something I never got to tell you guys publicly recently, but when it comes to college stuff, I had usually talked about final grades when I got them in my update journals. But I came about to this thought very late, because you know procrastination hehe.
So I have completed my online English class, and my final grade is.... 86.14%. And to me, that's a pretty decent passing grade. My experience with that class has been pretty much subpar. Compared to the other online courses I had in the past, there wasn't much interaction from the other students in the discussions and my teacher while he is decent in his work, tends to take a couple of days to grade things and he sometimes can be very late at that. On top of that, we had been reading a book I'm not a fan of called The Tortilla Curtain, as the story is backdrops on some specific Hot Topics of illegal immigration, Racism, and Prejudice, which is still a pretty much an issue in the United States.
So you can see why it's such a challenge to hold on to a decent grade. Now those aside, there are certain things good about this class. One of them is that my instructor is very understanding and gives good constructive feedback on my essay assignments. So if you do kind of struggle with trying to get through any classes, never give up. Just do the best you can, make great use of references and the tools provided to you, and never be afraid to ask your instructor, your parents, or any trusted friend for help. And if you continue to hold on to an excellent standing grade, it will help you move forward in the long run.
That said, I'm pretty much done with the semester, and that also means I have summer off. So I can get back to drawing and create stuff. And possibly work on videos. Things I pretty much put off on the back burner to focus entirely on my college classes and put most activities aside as a minimum focus. So except going out of town, working out, or doing chores and going on errands, I will be working on projects, hopefully without a hitch or interference. Even on my summer vacation.
Recently I've been helping out on collaborative projects with my friend
AlterEgoAndie. Which are animated interactive little games created in Flash, which I think was an honor to help her with these projects and we are having fun making this together, You can check out our first one that is based on my character, Mephanlina Stinktress dressed as her flatulist superheroine Entertainer ego, Flaturella

LifeWise, things are slow down, mellowed, and good. After completing my semester with a successful grade, we celebrated by getting a congratulatory gift which is a video game and had dinner at the China Express. Also passed few months one of my and moms friends have been coming over to our house and work on creating concrete cement statues out of rubber Molds and painting them, so we can sell them at my cousin's antique shop in town to make money. So kind of like a small business. And on Saturday I will be hanging out with some of my old school friends at the cinema to watch the new Han Solo movie we are all pretty much excited for it, and I think we're going to have a good time before my school buddy heads back to LA to start on his summer class.
And that's pretty much it for this update, and it took me two days to get it together, and we're getting into the near the end of May going into June. So let's make this summer memorable, I look forward to your feedback on this and other topics being discussed. Until next update, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed good summer and stay artzy.

May mayhem 2018 update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz and here is the May update. Though it is kind of weird not to write an update journal on April, I suppose I can catch you up first before talking about May as a mini catch up part of the journal.
Last month in April, me and my friend watch the Black Panther at theaters. We both enjoyed, and I think it was awesome (I will put my overdue thoughts on it in the status later), indeed a step forward to the road to Marvels Infinity War, which has recently came out and has been getting good feedback. My buddy and I thought about either seeing it or going to a comic con, but due to our busy College schedules for finals week. Both those plans aren't going to happen. But maybe the other idea where we get to see the solo Star Wars movie. Spring has been quite interesting. Flipping back and forth between hot and cold temperatures, very windy conditions, and it has been raining recently. No doubt it's also going to be cloudy for the rest of the first week of May.
College wise, I am still hanging in there. I have been hammering away and cramming all of my most important assignments, essays, and quizzes in class. So far my GPA is decent for a passing grade. And I pretty much have two weeks of class left, this week and next week. So things such as art, chat, and rps will be a little slowed down until I'm done and hopefully getting back on track with the fun stuff in the summer.
Lifewise, it's been good, Mostly been busy doing house chores. On May 5th tomorrow will be free comic book day which is celebrated by comic stores and toy stores around the world and I will be picking up a ton a free comics there. And on May 12th, most of you may have known that on that day, my dad passed away on 2015, me and Mom will be will be celebrating a day in his memory, by going to McDonald's to have breakfast, going out to the desert to play with our RC cars, and then going to the Sierra Lane bowling alley, to bowl a game together all this in memory of my dad and I'm sure we'll have a great time.
Art Wise, again slow activity due to college and life stuff at the moment, but hopefully this summer will get me back on track to continue drawing artwork and work on big projects more constant and consistent. Hopefully sticking to the schedule working on artwork during the week and putting them up on weekends. A lot of projects on my mind, so little time.
And that's pretty much the end of this update for May Mayhem and a small bit with the late April update too, at least keeping you guys up to date on what's going on with me in general besides the art stuff and be able to more down-to-earth human with you guys, and I do have fun putting these updates together. Sometimes they are just hard to get out when you're pretty much busy with everything, and that is pretty understandable.
Thank you guys for reading, I look forward to your feedback on this and other topics being discussed here, and to most of my friends who are in school or college, I wish you best of luck on your finals, until next update always, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed good day and stay artsy ^^

Mid March Madness 2018 update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone this is Fido Artz, and welcome to the very latest March Journal update.
As some of you might have read my status from the beginning of the month, no we did not go on vacation to Kansas and Oklahoma. Due to my mom sub staining cellulitis that made her face and nose swell. Because of this, we had to stay home, cancel our flight, and reschedule our vacation. She's recovered and been doing better. And I appreciate and thank you guys wishing her well.
With that said that vacation has been set for July, because of how busy I am with college. I just don't think I will be too focused on either having fun or visiting my relatives with the college over my head. So I think July will be fine.
So far English class has been going perfectly well, as I continue to get an amount of both full credit and half credit for most of my work and still keeping a decent grade and continue to do so. Ever since then, my will to draw, chat, and RP. Is on a jet lag pace right now That goes for my weekend schedule. So I'm going to be slowly getting back to those with spring break coming up next week.
So thank you guys for reading, I hope to get back with you on future feedback on this and other topics being discussed. Until next time as always, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed weekend and spring break and stay artzy. ^^

Semi animated vlog debut and late February update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone this is Fido Artz, and at long last, the semi-animated vlog is here. It certainly did take me awhile and a couple of down times to get this thing together, but I hope you enjoy it and fair, constructive criticism is appreciated.
Now that you guys saw my semi-animated vlog video, this will be a short update.
Next month on the 1st of March, once again I will be going out of town and out of state to see my family relatives again in Oklahoma and Kansas for a few days. And I'll be back on the 12th. Hopefully, Feri and I won't have to deal with delays or cancellations like last year. Of course, I will still have my laptop and my phone on hand. To keep up with you guys and also keep up with my college online class like last year. But before I go, I will most likely have two new art pieces to finish and get done before I leave to Vegas to catch the plane. So, Wish me luck on both of these cases. I also have another fidoflashback. I haven't even posted last year when I got back from vacation also a collage.
I thank you guys for reading this update and also watching the video; I look forward to your thoughts on this and other topics. Until next time this is Fido Artz have a blessed good day and stay artsy.

happy new years and 2017 in review
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz. And happy New Year. A New Journey around the Sun. 2017 coming to a close. Which means it's time to clean out my gallery and put my 2017 artwork into the 2017 collection and make room for 2018. But in all seriousness, let's talk about 2017 in review. And hopes for next year.
2017 has been a year with its ups and downs, a mixed bag of a year. And still, pretty much the craziest beer that's been all over the place than the previous year. Yet it has been a tough year for me personally and everyone I know. But I want to go in to get into the good things before I talk about the Bad.
So the goods around this year made a lot of great friends and acquaintances, had a great time with my close friends watching movies such as Wonder Woman, Justice League, and The Last Jedi. Had made some great progress working on my house such as putting up some new fences in the backyard to separate the patio and clean out the garage. Went to a Fall Festival And of course successfully passing more of my online classes with a successful grade. I was really happy with how much effort and dedication I put the challenging myself to do well in these classes and certainly would look forward to my future classes next year in the spring. And also had great visits with friends and family, during both Thanksgiving and Christmas. And also had a successful blood test this results that say I'm in a great condition.
The bad things of this year, I just feel like I've done way less than the previous year. Meaning. I set out projects and promises but put them off on the back burner, forgot about some of them, or never got to some of them. Or even set plans but they never go well as planned. Because I was busy with other endeavors and important stuff especially if it was away from the keyboard. And pretty much my time was water down to just chatting and RP with a few of my friends and just having the motivation to do a small number of art pieces. Even if I was doing well in colleges online classes, I still feel like a certain amount of my friends miss me and my consistent interaction or Miss certain things about me such as literature, reviews, and even animations.
And don't get me wrong I do miss doing those, but again there was a huge time constraint this year and sometimes most of those mediums take a lot of time, more time then I'd like if it got in the way of the important things I needed to get done in a year. It would cost me my college again like in 2013 through 2015. I would never make that same mistake again. So I am glad to be succeeding in my classes in 2016 through 2017 and improving my new home and I got in 2016. And I'm glad that you guys support me on getting important things done.
Another bad I feel for this year. Is that I put a lot of work in these journals and usually get very little feedback from my friends or Watchers. I can understand that a lot of journals are too long to read for some people. But that's pretty much of point of a journal. To show your Human Side, get things off your back, and talk about future plans and how you're feeling. And sometimes I wonder how many even read or look at journals of any creator in general.
And the many Downs are pretty much easy to expect, with what's going on in the world, basically been a dark cloud hanging over all of us. With politics, War, shootings, celebrity deaths and allegations, protests, and media platforms such as YouTube going the wrong direction.
Much as I am trying to be a very positive creator with a calm and Collective an understanding mentality. I can pretty much understand that everyone is going to have a negative outlook and mentality and just seem to find them self in a hopeless situation where they are on their own and can't trust anyone or anything online. Certainly not a case with for most of you guys, but it's plausible when I saw it with a couple of people.
With all the negativity going on some people probably consider this the end of days or the end of time. Both are very sensitive and scary topic to talk about with anyone who doesn't like the idea of the world ending. But here's what I think.
This is 2018 now, no one will know when the time will end. Not even angels themselves. Let's make 2018 a better year. Changing the world one good moment at a time. to continue living, to continue creating, to continue making friends, until the end.
Happy New Years everyone, see you all next year.

Christmas Day 2017 aftermath update
Posted 7 years agoGreetings everyone this is Fido Artz, and this is the Christmas Day update. Or at least the aftermath of the Christmas Day update.
The reason this entry is coming in so late. Is because the festivities happened during Christmas Day. And around the time of Christmas Eve me, my friend, and my mom decided to open our gifts early because we obviously won't have time on Christmas Day. And of course got some neat gifts such as toys, gadgets, cards, and some snacks.
So Christmas Day was certainly a real Field day. Meaning we had to organize and clean the house, getting the food ready, and prepping everything for our guest. Which is mostly my aunt and one of Feri's friends and her two kids. And for dinner, we had some delicious prime rib. And it certainly went well.
Despite Christmas being a two-day thing with Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I would not say it would be over yet for us. As my grandmother from Iowa will be visiting us tomorrow. And no doubt it's going to be a long day. But still, it's going to be fun.
So expect this Christmas piece to come this weekend. I also have a late gift Beast I have to send in my friend personally when I'm done with it. I also plan to work on my YouTube video too
Another thing I'd like to talk about it before I go, as I noticed that certain my friends or acquaintances. Are anti-Christmas or anti-holiday Out of bad Experience from the past, and kind of get upset or getting pessimistic upon seeing Journals, statuses, or even artwork that are Christmas themed. And to me, it's kind of disheartening to see creators have that type of negative mentality. Sometimes not having that presentable Liberty to celebrate this time of year with friends and family. Mostly caused by dysfunction or disconnection with their peers. If I have advice, if you have online friends, talk to them you can also talk to me if you like too when you're feeling down. If you're not a fan of the holidays, I'm sure your opinion can be respected. Just at least be Mindful and respectful of others and their right to celebrate the holidays.
I kind of had to get that off my chest, I hope you guys are having a great holiday and had a great Christmas. And I look forward to your holiday stories and your thoughts on this and other topics, until next update as always. This is Fido Artz, have a blessed good day and stay artsy.

Christmas Eve 2017 update
Posted 7 years agoMerry Christmas everyone, this is Fido Artz and it's Christmas Eve. And this would be day one of the 2017 Christmas updates.
And Christmas is certainly one of my favorite holidays in these time of the year. Setting up decorations, lights, an animated projections., Decking the halls with the Christmas trees and stockings. Doing some Christmas shopping and wrapping those presents, and what I think plays a more important part of Christmas, is hanging out with friends and family. Because after all, it's not about what you get under the tree, it's all about what comes from your heart.
So this first month of winter break has certainly had its events besides Christmas shopping, such as dentist and doctor's appointments, blood tests I got results I'm in perfect condition, and of course finishing my video production final exam at the beginning of this month only to get a decent really great grade. And it's pretty much brings us the right where we are right now. Christmas.
So the artwork and other projects is going to be taking a break today. Maybe work on late small Christmas piece later on tonight. When most of the visits and festivities are over. We will also be going to a Christmas eve service at 4 p.m.
And so that's pretty much the Christmas Eve update, I will however leave you with my thoughts on The Last Jedi movie in the status soon. And again Merry Christmas everyone, until Christmas Day, this is Fido Artz. Have a blessed Christmas eve and stay artz

final grade and December update
Posted 8 years agoGreetings everyone I'm Fido Artz, and here we are in December. And here is an update. I am excited to talk about.
Well, I have done it once again. I have successfully completed my online video production class. With a 93.25%, successfully clinging on to a perfect grade. My experience with this class has been pretty good and has very active students and a great instructor. And the best part of this class was we didn't have to do any quizzes. To be honest I'm kind of glad of that because the discussion and working on the videos was pretty much hard work enough. Yes, in fact, certain assignments can be not so easy to understand and rough around the edges. And sometimes certain holidays can make you lose track of your important focus. But regardless I managed to get all of them done. For full grade and half a grade. And still, manage to maintain my focus on what's important. And making up for the last time I took the class and failed. Successfully ending this semester on a good note.
With that said, I am certainly on my winter break. And hopefully, have more time to focus on my life Endeavors and my artwork and other projects. Until next spring semester next year. Certainly perfect to get back on my schedule I started to make my content consistent. With drawings to be worked on, including my next YouTube video addressing the future of the channel.
Now LifeWise, things have had some ups and downs. With the holiday season coming up. Feri has been dealing with some personal issues which I don't want to go into too much details with. But I think she will do well and will have her in my prayers. Anyways, so far I have the laser lights projector setup in my yard I still have yet to set up the trees for the front yard and also getting most of our Christmas decorations up. Which is what we most likely have to unbox.
And that's pretty much this update, which is not a lot compared to my previous ones I've written. But I'm sure I'll most likely have holiday updates sooner this month. But regardless I look forward to your feedback on these and other topics discussed. Until next update, this is Fido Artz, have a blessed good day and stay artsy ^^

November 2017 update
Posted 8 years agoGreetings everyone this is Fido Artz and Thanksgiving is coming, Black Friday is coming, Cyber Monday is coming, and most of all winter is coming. And it's time we dive into yet another update.
Most of all video production class is coming down to the wire. And I still hang on to a great grade. With the final project still in the works. I am so confident of succeeding in this class. And also very happy for the coming winter break coming next month. Which I will be having the winter season off, until next spring semester of next year.
With Thanksgiving coming up we will be having some friends over for a feast, so most of my time it's being spent on tidying up the house, as best as we can. So there will be times I'll be away from the laptop and only have access to my phone.
So you can see that my art schedule is pretty much tied up with these two important activities. As there wasn't any new artwork for two weeks or an update journal. But I haven't lost all Focus on the art wise of things. As I'm beginning to think of ideas and a first draft of the Skunkboy and a HackRat comic. I've also have been putting many thoughts on my roller Blitz League. And also been picturing the future of my YouTube Channel video and how it was going to approach it. I also have another drawing in the making right now. Which currently lies within my SketchBook, waiting to be transferred to my computer so I can work on it more.
And that's pretty much it for this update, I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving, survived Black Friday, and good luck on Cyber Monday. I look forward to your feedback and thoughts on the current topic of this update or other things you would like to talk about. Until next update, as always. I'm Fido Artz, have a blessed Thanksgiving and stay artsy ^^

Late Octoonber 2017 update
Posted 8 years agoGreetings everyone, this is Fido Artz. And welcome to an extremely late Octoonber update. Mainly because weeks in the month are flying by nearly over, and there hasn't been an update about it ever since my birthday Journal. But at the moment I feel like it's something I should get out of the way, for most of you guys.
So to recap, I'm now 23 last month and Feri is 51 on the 3rd of October. And we both appreciate the birthday wishes, most of you guys have given us on the activity status on DA.
We have been busy for the last couple of days, with activities such as, cleaning out the garage, selling things to my cousins pawn shop, and mostly getting the backyard ready so we can have some small little metal fences planted in certain areas where Angel, Hope, and Thomas can keep out of trouble. And stay away from certain areas and not mess up the patio. And of course, I've always been focused on my online video production class, and still doing great in it so far. And I do have confidence that I will succeed.
Now, do I have plans this Halloween? Well, I do. Just not plans to do some Halloween art or go to the next Comic Con convention this year. But instead, I will be going to a local event in town, which is the family Fall Festival held at the Calvary Chapel Church on October 31st. Which is going to have games, free food and drinks, and carnival rides. So I'm sure it's still going to be fun.
Art-wise, I'm kind of glad this new art schedule, that I made. Is working out for both me and you. And that easily makes a perfect work around outside my college and my life stuff. So for now on, I will be using the schedule more often. To work on artwork and other projects during the week and post my finished content during the selected weekends. Of course, I have big projects in the works. But I also have a plan concerning my YouTube channel. Which will be a semi-animated video of me talking about the future of my channel.
And that's pretty much it for this update of Octoonber. Sorry if this update came in late. If you have feedback for this and other topics discussed in this update or anything else. I look forward to it. Until next update, this is Fido Artz, have a safe and blessed Halloween week and stay artsy ^^
