FWA Bound
Posted 10 years agoHey guys!
I need to remember to actually USE FA once in a while! Anyway, I'm heading to FWA this year! Unfortunately, I don't really get the opportunity to attend many conventions anymore due time off and travel limitations; Job first! Local events like Elliots and Megaplex are usually the extent, with FWA being my only out of state event.
Last FWA I was post-hospital and still not very well, and the year before that I just landed a new job so I was only in for two full days, so I'm really REALLY looking forward to FWA this year. I'll have a few things in the art show, I may pop by the alley for just a few hours for on-site only sketches, but otherwise I'm really just looking for a vacation! I just want to hang out, doodle, and drink it up! If you see me around please do not hesitate to approach me; Despite the character Final being a big grouchy cat beast I'm actually pretty chill.. usually... some of the time.
I look forward to meeting some new people and hanging out with great friends. To those also going, have a wonderful time!
All the best,
Final
----
Where are you staying?
Main hotel!
What day are you getting there and what day are you leaving?
I'll be arriving Weds evening, leaving Monday AM
Who will you be with?
I'll be rooming with
buffaluffalo
arex
moxari and
sheerkhon and will likely be wandering around with some of said bunch.
How are you traveling?
Driving up from Orlando!
Are there any panels you might be attending?
I don't usually, but who knows!
Do you do badges?
No, I will not be making badges at the convention.
Can I give you stuff?
I never really liked this question! I don't like taking gifts without giving something in return.
Are you nice?
Grumpcat.
How long are you going?
The entire event.
Will you be performing?
Hahaha, nope.
What/where will you be eating?
Depends on the day, the time, and who I'm with. Vortex is happening at some point, and I'm always scouting local breweries.
Who will you hang out with during the convention?
Depends on who's available! I'm a pretty chill cat.
Anyone you're looking to meet up with?
Anyone who wants to meet up and hang out!
Where/how can I find you?
I'll be around and will probably have a "Final" badge on at some point. Or I'll be face-first in Trader Vics after too many Mai Tais.
If you have a significant other, will that person be there?
My tiny angry little
moxari will be there too. Careful, he bites.
How old are you?
28
How tall are you?
5' 11"
What is your gender/preferred pronouns?
Female.
What do you look like?
Tall, fat, grouchy, usually with a bandanna and neutral colored clothing
What do you prefer to be called?
Stephanie, Steph, etc. I don't really go by "Final" but at cons I expect it and it's ok!
Will you have any fursuits?
I'll be bringing my Final partial and may suit a bit if I get drunk enough.
Can I touch you?
I love handshakes, or hugs for close friends/with permission.
Can I talk to you?
Of course! I'm quiet, not shy.
Can I take pictures of you?
Don't know why you'd want to!
Can I visit your room?
If invited and the hotel-mates are alright with it.
Can I buy you drinks?
Alright this one I'll say yes. I'm here to drink and have a great time! I love craft beers (non-IPA), tiki drinks, and rum-runner like concoctions! ;D
Can I hug or snuggle you?
Hugs are fine for friends or with permission.. not sure on the "snuggle" thing.
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
If invited of course! I'm looking to hang out/meet new people.
Can I draw in your sketchbook?
Of course!
Do you do requests/free art?
I wish I had the time ;;
Do you do trades?
This depends on who and when!
Do you do commissions?
I MAY take a few sketches or inks in the alley if I decide to for a little one day, but it's not a big plan.
Do you have an artist table?
Nope.
Do you do prints?
If I end up in the alley I might have some!
Do you have art in the art show?
Yes, just a few things!
Is there anything you don't do?
I like to keep it chill, relaxed, and enjoyable. If it risks any of those then probably not.
Do you go to parties?
Absolutely, but only if invited. I don't like to just "show up" ;;
What should I not do around you?
As long as you have good hygiene and aren't rude/creepy you're fine. Despite the grump persona I'm actually really, really chill!
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
You can use Stephanie or Final, or just approach me if I don't hear you!
What is/are your goal(s) for this convention?
Hang out, have a good time, enjoy my one true vacation!

Well hi!
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
Been a while, FA! Thought I would say "hey" and see how you all were doing!
Commissions are and will remained close for the time being. I have a few more full pieces I am finishing up that are owed, and I don't want to add to that until those clients have the work they paid for. As always, if you are ever waiting and would like to discuss refunds, please contact me. I am not the type of person to run away with your money! I would really like to get back to doing coffee shop sketches; I love seeing sketching and am always given such awesome characters.
I have several works that are due to be mailed this week as well. As many noticed, I was not at AC this year. I actually have a new job (as of a few months ago) that keeps me completely busy from M-F weekly, and which I couldn't tear away from for AC. The time I used to have just isn't there, and I want to get back into my own work/shirt designs/etc and start posting again!
I am currently in north Georgia as my only vacation to visit a friend, and will be back home this week. I have no conventions planned the rest of the year, and will even be missing Elliot's Fall Gathering. I do try to pop out to the local Orlando meets from time to time!
Wishing you guys all of the best, and if you ever need to reach me, even just to chat, don't hesitate to email me at theFinalFlight[at]gmail.com or use my twitter: GrumpcatArts. I am not able to pop on FA as much, so notes are discouraged.
Thanks!
Steph/Final

Commission Information - Terms and Pricing
Posted 17 years agoTERMS
-Rights of Reproduction-
Unless the work is commercial or legally a "work for hire" piece, the artist retains the rights to the finished work. As such, I do request the right to display and/or reproduce a completed work. I am happy to negotiate alternate terms if the commissioner so chooses, prior to the start of the project. This may require the commissioner buying exclusive rights to the piece at going commercial rates to compensate for any potential income lost by keeping it exclusive.
-Payment-
Once the concept sketch is approved I ask for a partial down payment equal to 20% of the commission's total cost (see refund information below). Full payment is not required until a sample of the final copy has been approved. Once the full payment has been sent, the final image will be sent. I accept paypal (credit card accepted), personal checks, and money orders with all commissioned work. Currency should be in USD, please.
-Incomplete/Refunds-
If the commissioner is not happy with the progress of the piece and wishes to withdraw their commission request, I will retain a portion of the down payment equal to the stage of the piece. IE if I completed only a sketch, I expect to be paid the value of a sketch commission. This can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis and will not be necessary should the close of the project be my own doing. This of course does not apply under all circumstances, and any termination caused by myself will be addressed with my assuming responsibility.
-Redraws-
I offer three full redraws of a commissioned work. After that time, $5 per redraw is required as insurance against fraudulent claims. Please be clear with your descriptions and any edits you would like made, and I will be happy to work with you. Please note this does NOT include minor edits throughout the production process, which never require a fee. The fee only applies to complete redraws.
-Timeline-
I am employed full time and am not regularly open to commissions for this reason. Therefore, larger works may take a more extended period. Payment is not due in full until completed, and any specific deadlines can be discussed at the start of the piece.
-Shipping and Handling-
I generally send first-class worldwide unless asked otherwise. Shipping in the US is approximately $4 on two-dimensional art 9"x12" and under in size. Also, be sure to state if you want any shipping extras, such as shipping insurance, expedient mail, etc.
-These are BASE prices-
The prices listed below are estimates and account only for one character and a simple background; The actual cost of a work may be higher or lower depending on size, number of characters/figures, medium, and overall complexity.
I am also happy to take on a project type not listed below, including comic pages, character sheets, etc. Simply contact me for a more accurate estimate.
